These British Columbia Mountains Have a 530-mile Natural Hot Springs Trail — How to Plan Your Trip

"A rebranded, on-site restaurant that aspires to be a self-sustaining, farm-to-table operation with much of its produce grown in an on-property greenhouse; the kitchen favors hearty proteins, with chef Darryl Crumb’s red wine–braised lamb shank with lentils and brown butter–roasted salmon with wild rice singled out as especially comforting before or after a soak." - Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong is a San Francisco-based journalist who focuses on food, design, and travel. Great spot for a nice meal out. The food is well prepared with a menu that mixes comfort dishes and more creative plates, and everything feels fresh and flavorful. The bar side has a good selection of drinks and cocktails, making it easy to pair with whatever you’re eating. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels a little upscale, so it works for both casual dinners and special nights. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Prices are fair for the quality and overall experience.

We had two dinners at Chanterelle and they were both great! The restaurant was quiet, the staff were nice and the food tasted fresh! Make sure to book a reservation so you have a chance at getting a window seat!

This could be or probably once was a decadently romantic dining experience. The view is absolutely beautiful. But when it's night time, all you see in the windows is the reflection of yourself. With that said, there were only two waitresses, the one waitress was serving the people beside us, she was friendly, explaining some specials that I couldn't overhear. The waitress that attended to us, seemed annoyed, did not give us any details on specials, was short and not pleasant. The meals were okay, but for the price of $40 I got a bowl of pasta with a few pieces of chicken in it. The mushroom sauce with runny. Overall dining experience was disappointing, but if it was a lunchtime pub would have been average.

The restaurant has a nice view of the lake but the atmosphere and ambiance leave much to be desired. The food was decent flavor but the portions of meat were small and the quality was significantly under what you might expect at the price point. Some menu items actually were billed at higher cost than posted on the menu, which is surprising since the menu is a clipboard with standard letterhead paper. Also it was extremely loud and crowded in the restaurant.

This charming restaurant located at Halcyon Hot Springs Resort is fantastic. We come up here twice a year and always look forward to breakfast and our Sunday night dinner at Alcedo. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere overlooking Upper Arrow Lake. Great service and everything on the menu is absolutely on point!

I am giving the low score not only because one of our steaks had issues, but also because they argued and claimed it's supposed to be that way (no, it was spoiled, all 4 of us tried a small piece and agreed it was off). At the end after a lot of back and forth they gave us 25% discount on that 75% full returned plate and then overcharged us on other items. Almost $500 on mostly food, we regret going.. Thanks for a memorable birthday.

We made a reservation at this restaurant weeks in advance, completely separate from the resort since they’re very insistent they’re a “separate business.” And yet, the restaurant occupy the same building as the hot springs, clearly riding on the resort’s traffic and clientele. They know full well that guests are coming straight from the hot springs in robes provided by the resort but they have the audacity to turn gusts away for wearing them. There was zero mention of a dress code in the confirmation email. In addition, Google Maps shows a different restaurant in picture, which just adds more to the confusion. This place wants to profit from being tied to the resort while pretending it has nothing to do with it the second there's a problem. It’s a disorganized, unprofessional setup. 1-star for just existing.
