"Located on the west side of Indy, right off the expressway, Chapati is the perfect stop for people traveling through the Midwest, but it’s also worth a shorter trip for anyone in town. The restaurant is popular for classics like chicken tikka masala — marinated in house tikka spices for 24 hours, then slow-cooked in creamy red sauce — as well as more unique dishes like goat beets — a stewy combination of dry masala-rubbed beets and marinated goat. There are also many vegetarian options, like eggplant masala and aloo tarkari, while must-have sides include the namesake chapati and the basmati rice." - Mike Gillis

Nice restaurant with games for families like ping pong, checkers and more. The food here is also pretty good. I ordered the vegetable biryani spicy and it came out pretty good. Not the best I've had, but good. And the value for money and portion were good as well.

Google
I had Worst food experience in my life We order chicken, Karahi and butter chicken. The both are tasteless They give us gyro bread instead of tandori naan 3$ each Only acceptable thing is fried chicken I waste my $110 and also family was not happy. I left this food that show in photos because nobody wants to eat 😀

Google
We were on a road-trip and simply chose it based on the photos and menu. It did not disappoint. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was generous in portions and delicious. I'd stop by again on another road-trip if I'm ever in the area again. Only suggested areas for improvement were the atmosphere: I tried to find a table where the big fans weren't blowing on me, and the bathrooms could use a cleaning and sprucing up.

Sherly Bossycat

Google
Worst butter chicken I’ve ever had especially for the price. It was oily and inedible. The listing said boneless chicken but the 2 small pieces of chicken had bones on it. My order was packed wrong and missing items. Will never order here again

I stopped by Chapati for lunch toay had a decent experience. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The food was really good. I got the beef behari and chicken briyani, indulging the real pakistani flavour. The atmosphere was nice, with a cozy decor and a warm vibe. Just a quick suggestion garnishing everything with tomato doesn’t work specially on biryani . Should have a crispy fried onion on top might work.

Google
I love this place. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I can relax, work, eat and play. The food has always amazed me. Thank you for introducing me to wholesome Pakistani home cooking.

Google
Ordered food to go. Got home and they didn’t give me part of my order and the naan was incorrect. Not to mention the sauce cups weren’t closed properly and spilled all over food. Spent $30 on some bomb food and it just didn’t go well. There was no problem getting an I owe you on the missing food. Sticking with Bobs and Spice club for now.

Google
We decided to go here on a whim and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is so on point, and you feel welcomed immediately stepping through the door. The walls are adorned with super cool and empowering artwork. It's such a fresh modern atmosphere, but it's definitely comfortable, like chilling at a friend's house. We had an amazing time playing ping pong. When you go, don't forget to check out their specialty chicken and Chilli chicken. All of the food was fresh and delicious. You should be very clear about how spicy you want your food because it can get spicy! All in all, I can't wait to go back!

Mercedes V.

Yelp
Food we ordered was very good, mild spice, creamy sauce, generous portion of chicken. Garlic naan is made fresh, buttery and lots of chopped garlic spread out. The guy cashier was very friendly and attentive, calls the order by name and brings it to the table. To order dine in or out, need to line up the front counter and have order taken by the cashier/server. Self service on the water and cutlery. They have a good selection of menu items, with the usual biryani's, buttered chicken and samosas. The dining area looks wide, casual dining, no music. But looks cool they have a ping pong table and a game table. The wall is painted with geometric design and tones of green. Pay cash or credit card. Restroom separated by gender. Opened during Christmas Day!

Yelp
This has been the worst online ordering experience I've ever had. It's Yelp's fault, not the restaurants'. Hey Yelp! Your order cancellation dodge is for crap. The problem was that the order was placed for tonight's delivery, but the system dated the order for tomorrow. When I called Yelp for help, the order processor HubGrub wouldn't accept the change I wanted to make because they couldn't verify my name on the account, even though I had the order number. It was an obvious attempt to frustrate my attempt to cancel the order.

Destany L.

Yelp
Chapati was my introduction into Indian cuisine and let's just say my experience was unforgettable. Everything I dipped my fork into was packed with flavor. They have a huge variety and tons of options for my vegetarian and vegan friends. The staff helped answer all the questions I had about the menu! As a foodie, it's always a win when you try a new food and you instantly obsess over it. That's 100% me with their chicken tikka masala!

Barbara M.

Yelp
Very nice staff and excellent tasting food. The interior decor is also cute. The mango lassi is so sweet. Their dessert selection was one of my favorites among Indianapolis Indian restaurants. The prices are higher, but the portions are HUGE. You can get regular or family size for most dishes, but even the regular is about 3 meals for me (as a light eater). I found that the menu posted on Yelp is very accurate. They have a selection of Indian and Pakistani foods. You may choose spice levels. Many dishes are vegetarian or vegan. Parking is plentiful in this strip mall which is right off of I-65.

Amber C.

Yelp
Around the world in 80 minutes Chapati has some of the best Indian & Pakistani food in town. The variety of dishes means there's something for everyone. I really like their convenient location, right off of the Lafayette road exit on I-65. While it takes a bit for your food to come out, it's truly worth the wait. Everything is well seasoned with just the right amount of spice. I love the butter chicken (as I'm sure everyone who tries it does). The dining area is spacious and super welcoming & comfortable. I also love that you can order Chapati through most meal delivery services, so even if you're not nearby, you can still check them out.

Katy M.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed. The order was received by the restaurant and not prepared as advertised through their online ordering service. We picked it up and took it home. The chicken has bones despite saying "boneless" on their menu. I also ordered a "double portion" which I don't believe was a good value. If this is their double portion, it don't waste your money. $30 for this (pictured) plus naan. I asked the owner to please correct the order and he said he didn't need to because it is correct. I also would have accepted a refund and returned the food. Then he hung up on me. This is the menu we ordered from online.

Brianna H.

Yelp
Phenomenal! You step into Chapati and the aroma instantly greets you, pulling you in and making you wait in eager anticipation for your food to arrive. There are plenty of seating options and even a game or two to play. The staff was so kind and gave us approximate wait times depending on what dishes we chose, while also telling us some of their favorites as well as the most popular dishes. My friend and I ended up ordering several items and everything was wonderful. I have not stopped talking about this place or salivating every time I think of it. I'm so excited they've opened a sister location in downtown Indy so that more people can experience this cuisine!

Kaylin B.

Yelp
Love this place! I go every time I have a craving for chicken tika Marsala. Their service is great they will explain everything to you.

Mike W.

Yelp
It was cold and raining. He was so awesome. I never caught his name, but he remembered mine. They made my food fresh and it was amazing. I had the yellow lentils and lamb (spicy). Perfect. They also had some seasoning boxes to make food at home. If weren't visiting from the other side of the country, I would have bought some to make.

John B.

Yelp
I stopped here because it was conveniently open through the day on a Monday and was close to the highway. Despite being a strip mall place, the interior was quite spacious and decorated, with some shuffle board-ish game set up near the entrance, and Indian music videos running. It's an order at the counter and get your own water and utensils kind of a setup. I took a recommendation on the yellow dal, and got the family size. This came with neither rice nor bread. I got the obvious choice; a chapati is a thin whole wheat bread and theirs was delicate and delicious, but one was not much help in downing that dal. To really make it a proper meal, you're talking about over $20, and that's before an appetizer or a drink. The dal was thick and richly flavored, but portion size for price was surprisingly unimpressive. I got a chai with a bit of crushed nuts in it as well, which was fine but nothing mind-blowing. Despite the name, Indianapolis (which apparently refers to American Indians) is not the place I would come for South Asian cuisine, but this place has quality food.

Yelp
I'm so glad we decided look on Yelp for Indian restaurants on our drive through Indy! I've done this drive over a dozen times, but it's the first time I've discovered Chapati. It's super unassuming but it's worth a stop-in!! They had two menus - one for Chapati and one for their fusion fried chicken concept! We opted for for the Pakistani & Indian dishes: *Pani Puri - (Vegan - $8.95 Crispy mini puries with spiced water, sweet chutney, sweet yogurt, tomatoes, onions, and chickpeas) - if you haven't had this Indian Street dish, it's worth a try and so fun to eat! My husband said it reminded him of pico de gallo & instead of tortilla chips, you get fun puffed up puries! 1) You take one of the puffed up puri pieces & knock it with the back of your spoon to make a little opening 2) You fill the opening with the chickpea mixture that also has tomatoes & onions (see the pico de gallo reference a bit?!) 3) Then you squirt a bit of the spiced water for a PERFECT bite! *Beef Nihari ($16 - Our rich, spiced, and beefy broth soup served with chunks of tenderized beef all slow cooked after deep marination.) - This dish was so comforting and stewy. The flavors were clearly developed over a long time. It was a bit thick so my only wish was that there was more beef brothy goodness to dip and eat with the chapati/basmati rice! *Palak Paneer - Vegetarian - $13 Spiced spinach cooked in a creamy sauce with fresh paneer) - Paneer really reminds me of cheese curds - in a good way. When it's super fresh, there's a nice squeakiness to it! No complaints - super tasty! *Butter Chicken ($15 - Boneless chicken marinated in our tomato spread then slow cooked with spices and our cream sauce.) - The chicken was definitely chicken thighs as it was flavorful and practically melted in your mouth from all slow cookin'! Yum. *Chapati ($1.75 Whole wheat flat bread) - per my tip below, no entrees COME with rice or bread, so you must order separately! I figured this place is called chapati, so I should try ordering their chapati. It's like a flat bread that is PERFECT for soaking up all the deliciousness from the nihari, palak and butter chicken! The above was way too much for 2 people and we had leftovers for a couple more meals after! TIPS: *all the grilled items take ~30 minutes, so order ahead or plan accordingly! *nothing comes with rice or breads so you need to order a la carte on the side!

Yelp
This place is located in a very unassuming area ; you drive fast enough and you are liable to miss it. I've been here about a couple of times now n the past and the food was solid then but because of where it is at - we did not really come back until over the weekend. The eggplant masala and garlic naan is even better than we remember. It was so good we ended up getting some rice too. It's a big place and the way it's set up - you almost wonder if they could maybe change the layout so it looks more like traditional restaurant? But please don't let that discourage you from trying their food. When we were N there - they had a ton of take out orders! I mean that's what happens when your food is delicious, right? They also have a spot at the garage in downtown Indy ... for those folks in that area, check them out! Be adventurous with your choice of food and you will not be sorry

Debbi R.

Yelp
Not been here before but we love a good curry! On our way home from Avon we just wanted curry! Decided to check this place out! It's basic as you get your own water and utensils but boy it's so good! So much flavour and they even saved us money by recommending a big curry rather than two! We will certainly be back! So good! Not expensive! A great place!

Tammy T.

Yelp
Great food and lovely service. Tommy helped us make our selections and guided us in choosing the right spice level. We had chicken biryani extra spicy and chicken tikka masala spicy. We enjoyed both. We will be back to try the goat biryani extra extra spicy!!

DrShirish S.

Yelp
Food was good, quality, taste and portion were all nice. Service was also good. So, great points for the food. We were able to take the extra food home as well with self service box's available. The ambiance was not the best with dull environment and low lighting. The outside sign was out, making it hard to know if the place was there or not from far away. Also on the inside the lighting was dull and the old green wall paint made it look gloomy.

Fatima G.

Yelp
I heard a LOT of reviews of Chapati and couldn't wait to try it. Step in and the ambience takes you back to Indian roots - the seats set up with Carrom board which is a very popular game in India. Shelves decorated with popular spices and a whole lot of diversity defining decor. I much appreciate the variety. Food tasted very authentic, fresh and spice level was very decent. The Chicken boti and side chutney (dip) was a stellar combo. The garlic kulcha (tortilla) wasn't too garlicky and absolutely soft and fresh. Loved the Asian style of serving dishes which is very common in India and Pakistan. The retro Indian music added to the touch! Not too many people and good spacious seating. 5* for the food and ambience!

Diego B.

Yelp
The food is amazing! Very nice options from spicy to sweet. They offer vegan options and halal options as well. The service varies iv always had good service they are respectful people. It's just a language barrier but rarely is that a problem though. They try to up charge you and get you to get a lot of food just ask questions about how big the portion sizes are. The interior design is nice their culture is depicted in the design with a hint of American style dabbled in.

Mariano G.

Yelp
Was craving something different and stumbled upon this place on Lafayette Road. It's tucked away in a strip mall sandwiched between a liquor store and a salon. I was surprised to see how spacious and artistic everything was inside. The person at the counter was very helpful in picking out some dishes so we decided on a Goat biryani and some of the fried chicken offerings with a side of the Desi Chai. The menu was separated into vegetarian dishes (Indian) and more meat dishes (Pakistani). The fried chicken was tasty, but didn't really taste much different than an American fried chicken. The Biriyani was our favorite. The flavors were rich and intense in the rice, but the sauce that comes with it and some of the veggies really balance the intensity of the dish. The chai after the meal was a great pick-me-up with a much needed boost of caffeine.

Jemma C.

Yelp
Absolutely yes! The food was amazing! Great flavors and well sized portions. We ordered two garlic naans (which we should've just gotten one because they are huge!), chicken tikka masala, and chicken biryani. The place was clean and the service was so quick. 100/10 would come here once a week and never get tired of it!

Arnab K.

Yelp
I happened to stop by this place randomly during our recent trip. The food was delicious and amazing. While I waited for food, I also tried by luck at carom (an Indian board game) and ping pong. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Indianapolis and living there too.

Scope T.

Yelp
Bryani? was a joke. Called pulao bryani. rest of the food was meh. Wont go back!!!!!!!

Emmanuel U.

Yelp
The food is amazing. My favorite dish to get from here is the Beef Bahari with an edition of Naan. The samosas are big. The first time I had a samosa, I had no clue that the samosa was made from potato. Entering the restaurant is always a nice experience. There is music playing in the background and the area is decorated with games you can play with a friend while waiting for food. The service is nice and the people that work there are responsive. They flash a smile and they are a joy to talk to. Please, please, please go to Chapati. You will not regret how good the food is at this restaurant.

Julie B.

Yelp
It doesn't even seem like the same restaurant. The first experience was simply amazing. But now... The chicken in our biryani was old and dry. The flavor was there because of the spices but the texture and consistency were horrible. The cheese naan was just gross too. The first time we came the food took a long time to get because they were preparing it fresh. This time our order came up in a few minutes, like they were re-heating the food. We don't know what happened, if the owners changed hands, or they are cutting corners. We were very sad for the experience.

Tom M.

Yelp
Working my way through the menu: chilli chicken this time. Excellent! Perfect mix of chicken, onions and peppers, served with basmati rice. Generous portions, with fast friendly service. Added bonus: bollywood music videos!

Maureen B.

Yelp
My son recommended this restaurant for dinner and had good things to say. I have nothing but good things to say after eating their food. The restaurant is nice and airy and great for groups or date night. I can see me and some friends having dinner and drinks here. I got the chicken biryani and my son got the beef behari. I also got two samosas though now that I know how big they are. I'd just get one. The food was delicious. I've had other biryanis that were not as good but this was on point. You cant see thr chicken in the picture but its in there and it was perfectly cooked and juicy not dry. The meal will fill you up without the samosa but if you have a big appetite, go ahead and get one. I'm already planning my next visit!!

Shalini U.

Yelp
The only thing I could taste was the oil and staleness. Used to taste way better but quality seems to have deteriorated significantly.

Sarah C.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. We had ginger chicken and a yellow lentil dish. Both were flavorful but not too spicy at the "Spicy" level. The garlic naan was some of the best we've had. Service was good - the cashier delivered the food and checked on us a couple of times but didn't hover. We did the family style for both dishes and had leftovers to take home.

Stan W.

Yelp
This may be the best Indian food I have had in the United States. The chili chicken is to die for as is chicken karhai. We also loved the chicken, tikka masala and black dal. Order the extra spicy if you dare

Zuha A.

Yelp
Chapati is a unique, wonderful, Pakistani establishment that any Indy resident MUST try!!! My favorite items would be the chicken sandwich from Shani's secret menu, and the chili chicken. Their goat biryani was delicious too. The service here is always so great, the workers are kind and genuinely care to see if you're enjoying the food. Not to mention the ambience includes traditional Pakistani games such as Carrom Board, and they usually play Bollywood music videos on their TVs. Also, it's quite spacious inside--great for group dinners. Lastly, everything here is halal which is wonderful for any Muslims or anyone looking for halal/kosher options in the area!!

Jyoti S.

Yelp
We went to this place while travelling through Lafayette. Decent looking place with order at counter service self-service for water and silverwares. They also have a table with carrom board set up. Nice Indian ambience. We ordered Chicken gravy and butter paneer. Both were good. Chicken was tender and juicy, Paneer was a little chewy though. Naan was hot and soft . The portion size was little less comparatively. Deducting 1 star for that otherwise it is 4+ (not 5/5 though). Definitely a decent place to explore.

Allison F.

Yelp
I'm at the point where the only time I'll order Indian food is when it comes from Chapati's kitchen. I find that when I place an order at my neighborhood Indian spots, I end up disappointed and wish I had just called Chapati instead. They *truly* serve the best Indian food in Indy. While narrowing a favorite vegetarian or vegan dish is impossible, I do want to lift up that one's order should always include a samosa (or two) and a mango lassi. I love starting and finishing my meal with those top-notch items, and--if you haven't added them to your order--you best not miss out on such deliciousness.

Emi M.

Yelp
They are not a typical Indian or Pakistani restaurant that most people are used to. They have a different vibe (in a good way) which you notice the moment you walk into Chapati. This is not full service sit-down dining. You walk up to the cashier and order first and then pick up your utensils and water and sit down. Just like other reviewers say, their prices are on higher end, especially in this area- there are a lot of international dining options and I think people are just used to lower priced options or entrees automatically served with rice, bread etc. here at Chapati I ordered this chicken tikka Marsala which was $15 and rice and naan were both extra. I ordered rice which was around $3.50 and no drink. With tip it was over $23, which is probably the highest I've paid in Indianapolis area for this particular dish. I understand that they have a high standard for their ingredients which sets the prices high and I could tell from tasting it. It was very delicious! The serving size was not big, but I wouldn't say small either. It was so good I finished it very fast. There was only one gentleman working as a server/cashier and he was very nice and helpful. I want to try other items here but this will be more like a special treat for myself on occasions.

Kathleen H.

Yelp
YUM! I really liked this place :) interior is veryyy lowkey and relaxed with a ping pong table and mismatch lounge chairs around tables. The food was authentic which is what brought me in by recommendation of my friend who recently moved from India. I got the paneer tikka masala with garlic naan, incredible. The garlic naan is like the diameter of a basketball, larger than expected! We also got masala fries and tandoori chicken sandwich off of Shannis Secret Chicken Menu. This is a separate menu from Chapati but you can order it at the register. Plan on waiting 30 minutes for items off this menu, but well worth the wait and fresh off the frying pan! Will definitely come back, they have huge tables so I'm bringing lots of friends next time!

Sara M.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! They were out of goat meat so we couldn't try any of the goat dishes. My husband and I shared the food in the picture. Chaat was a mouth watering mix of flavors and textures, get it! We were so hungry and we ate everything you see in the picture and we could've had more lol. If we're ever back in Indianapolis, we are coming back here for sure.

Ro W.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Each time, I take forever trying to find something because they have a lot of vegan options. My momma even tried it for the first time and she loved it. (It's hard to get her to try my vegan food). If you're in the area, stop by. The guys behind the counter were helpful even during lunch hour traffic. Keep in mind that they are closed on Tuesdays.

David M.

Yelp
Hip, casual, delicious. Chapati has all the best Pakistani and Indian dishes in a comfortable, more casual atmosphere. Wait times are a little long, but the silver lining here is that everything seems to be very fresh and made to order. I've eaten here at least a dozen times over the past few years and every visit has been consistently good. The menu has evolved some, and each change brought new and interesting flavors to try. I love the creativity of the team here and their constant attempt to make novel spins on classic dishes. I also appreciate that Chapati is a family run business with family recipes.

Elsa E.

Yelp
Giving an update since my first review last year. It's up to a full five stars for me. We have been back many a times since....I have brought family from out of town several times....everyone says the same....phenomenal. We have tried so many things on the menu but I always come back to a few things- one of which was brand new for me. The beef nihari. It may have become one of my favorite foods ever. Very unique. The lemon finish is just perfection. Make sure you order some rice to eat up all that sauce. Ginger butter chicken and the eggplant masala are my other top items. Oh and the samosa. And the paratha. Ok-I have tons of favorites!! Also wanted to add that we haven't encountered the cold food issue again. It was a one time thing. Chapati is probably one of my top 5 restaurants in Indy. Please come to the north side!

Candace K.

Yelp
This place was located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Walking in you order your food and sit anywhere you want and they bring it to you. Our order came out pretty quickly. The spice was there but the flavor didn't kick in until I reheated the left overs the next day. The menu has all types of cuisine. I would say a 7/10 rating.

Eli B.

Yelp
portions are great! plenty of meat in the butter chicken! My favorite spot! Great Service!

September F.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. When they first opened the food and service was amazing. The food I got tonight was expensive and more bones than meat. I ordered butter chicken. It has never come with bones but when I called they said I should have ordered ginger butter chicken. When I expressed how disappointed I was they said next time I should order ginger butter chicken. Their rice also tasted like the chemical in the little things you burn under buffet dishes. They did not give us any Chapati like they used to and we had to purchase naan which was soggy. I don't believe I'll ever go back.

Christian C.

Yelp
Comfort food with an international kick. The Pakistani flavors and seasonings are unmatched. Ali and his family truly have a gem with this one ‍ I'd give 10 stars if I could

G B.

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and it was good. The portion size for the price is not great in my opinion and they will cheat you if you don't count your change!

Chad L.

Yelp
I went here on a Friday @ 6:30 pm to pick up my take out order. When I walked in the door there was no one in the restaurant. Not a single dinner. I was slightly alarmed but I had read so many great reviews. When I placed my order over the phone I stated can I get enough Naan for 4 people. Dinner was for my wife and two children. I ordered Tikka Masala, Butter chicken, biryani rice, and some naan. My bill was 86 dollars! I received no receipt wasn't asked if I wanted a receipt. Hungry kids I paid and I bolted. When I got home in the back of my mind I was like something is not right. The Masala and Butter chicken the oil had separated from the curry leaving puddles of oil. Plus the chicken appeared gray and old. On top of that they give you tiny little portions of rice. The dishes were not that flavorful I was pretty disappointed. So I emailed the restaurant for clarification. Turns out they charged me for 7 orders of Naan which is why my bill was so expensive. The representative said this is standard Naan order for 4 people in their culture but did refund me 3 naan orders. My bread part of my order originally amounted to additional entree about 20 dollars for what I thought would be a side order. I felt like I had been taken advantage of. I wonder how many bills are being inflated with bread and people just don't say anything. Overall does not live up to expectations I would suggest you try another place. I was really hoping for great Indian food in Indiana.

Sreyoshi B.

Yelp
Definitely one of the most authentic "desi" food I've had in recent times. Loved the main course which had beets with meat - its delicious and has absolutely authentic flavors! Of all that I ordered, The chaat was the only one I didn't like - I found the yoghurt too watered down for my liking. Paratha roll was excellent! Don't miss this!! And get the extra spicy you won't regret it.

Niki B.

Yelp
Go for the incredibly kind owners, stay for the DELICIOUS mango lassis, homemade chai, chapati, butter chicken, samosas, and tikka masala. What's chapati you ask? It's an unleavened flatbread from India/Pakistan area (and surrounding countries). Chapati is right off of Lafayette Road, once you've passed 46th Street and the highway. It's in a strip center with a hairdresser and liquor store, and be sure to look far over your left shoulder when driving north on Lafayette, so you can see it tucked in the corner. The inside is super modern, clean and fun. The walls are painted bright colors, there's Indian music videos playing on the TVs, and there are several tables and booths to choose from. It's super cozy, vibey and all-in-all, a great place to meet with a big group of friends. I love that it's family-owned and that they all work together to keep this place top-notch. The recipes they use are from their mom and the brothers work at the restaurant too.

Leah J.

Yelp
I am sad I am just now writing a review for this and really trying out the food! My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and let me tell you the restaurant was so accommodating. The food was delicious and everything had amazing flavor. My favorite was the beef and rice! I really like the decorations in there and the activities also. I asked the manager if we could bring music in for our rehearsal dinner and he said yes! Anytime I needed anything, it was taken care of! It's also in the perfect location! It's definitely worth trying I give them five stars for their customer service and delicious food Pros Food Service Beef Rice Management Cons N/a Thank you Ali & Chapati

Yelp
Love the decor and the modern feel of the space. There is also a 2nd restaurant on-site that has killer fried chicken. Tried the paneer, and some grilled items. It was a little salty for my taste personally. I've tried their butter chicken at a Yelp event prior and I honestly regret not ordering that again... the butter chicken was delicious and is going to be my go to next time!

Yelp
The atmosphere here is really great, it has a new-crisp clean look. My partner and I stopped in with his young son. They were able to play a game while we waited & the staff was very energetic and helpful. Shifa, our server, was extremely kind and checked on us several times. The food was also really good. We all enjoyed sampling different levels of spice. I will definitely return again soon! We all recommend the ginger chicken & Kerhai if you stop in.

Yelp
I was meeting a vegetarian friend who works on the NW side and gave him a few options. I'm couldn't be more thankful for him agreeing to step outside of his comfort zone and try a new place. Let me start with the environment; just wow! The walls that aren't abstract and full of color are adorned in carefully selected creative works of art that express pride and set the tone that introduces you to the menu. For those who aren't sure what to do, there are clear instructions on how to order. I was a bit overwhelmed, too caught up in the vibe to pay attention to the food, but the owner walked me through it, while explaining that the curator and creative was his son who made some of the beautiful tables. If you need to be entertained, pick up a game of ping pong or cards or enjoy the tunes on the multiple screens. I don't know what channel it was but wish I would've asked, as it was lit the entire time I was there! My friend and I had time to admire everything and catch up until our food was brought out (spice to order), and let's just say my mind and taste buds were blown! I had a sample plate with butter chicken and beef nahari served with chapati (flatbread) and basmati rice with tomato and onion. He had a vegetarian combo with naan and we finished our lunch with chai tea. I felt the love and tradition in our dishes and understand why this restaurant made the Top 50 Places to eat in 2017. Thank you Chapati for helping me break my friend out of his comfort zone. We both truly enjoyed our experience and will be singing your praises for some time, and that palette cleanser was some next level ish. In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch experience and will definitely return. My tastebuds, eyes and ears were fully stimulated. My daughter appreciated my leftovers. Anyone who plays Pharrell Williams during lunch has a new best friend. Oh oh oh oh Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah - oh yeah, there's something about you. Yeah yeah yeah yeah.
