An appalling service from the owner especially, Paul, unless you are part of the 'in crowd' or a VIP (as they like to boast Kate Middleton's hairdresser popped in). Reception is uniquely chaotic, and the atmosphere often tense. I stuck with Paul for 6 months as atleast he didn't ruin my short hair. But twice he didn't show, once an accident, second he just wandered off. So he's obviously not that interested in middle aged women as clients unless you are having a high cost service. He had always been pretty brusque when I have caught up with him and I started dreading seeing him the same as the dentist. The last time I attempted his services today, he gave no eye contact, and couldn't hear what I wanted because of the garage music at high volume on their sound system. It was enough to drive me to use the 'f' word, very quietly mind you. I said the 'f'ing music was too loud. For this Paul asked me to come outside - god forbid his other customers hear the truth of how I am treated!
There are some good stylists here who can do great classic cuts, but the best ones I know left - they got tired of the posturing , the inflated marketing and public relations strategies.
I rarely complain but this place has had the truth coming for ages. Shambolic, they rarely even get your name correct on arrival. Even the coffee was cold today. I am finally given the push to go back to Vittor's nextdoor which is sane and stress free.
