12 Solid Spots for Outdoor Dining and Drinking in Charlotte

"This upscale Mediterranean restaurant is a new player in the Rare Roots Hospitality lineup. Start strong with a hazelnut prosciutto carpaccio and the pillowy celery puree paired with the baby octopus. Order an extra small plate or two because the tapas can be lean. The cocktail game here is no joke, and the spritzes experiment beyond Aperol, with a lemon zest Dolin Blanc and a strawberry Montenegro spritz. Despite the somewhat puzzling location next to the Sycamore Brewery, Charlotteans aren’t deterred. The outdoor patio, placed conveniently along the light rail, doesn’t feel like an afterthought; the blue couches, ceiling heat lamps, and misters keep a ritzy vibe (although the view is standard)." - Kayleigh Ruller

Flying in from New York, I had high expectations for my visit to Chapter 6 Mediterranean in Charlotte, and I’m happy to say this spot exceeded them all. Recommended to me by locals, this restaurant delivered on every level—from the ambiance to the service, food, and drinks. A special shoutout to our server, Ella, whose phenomenal service and vibrant personality made our dining experience even better. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a great time. As for the food—simply outstanding. Every dish, from our mains to the desserts, was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. If you’re in Charlotte and craving Mediterranean cuisine, Chapter 6 is a must-visit. Top-tier in every way, and I’ll definitely be returning for another bite!

Gastronomic bliss! Exquisite cuisine, beautiful ambiance and impeccable service make Chapter 6 a very memorable dining experience! We selected "The Treatment" tasting menu and it was amazing! Every dish was on a world class level. (We look forward to trying everything on the menu). Our server Gaby was friendly, knowledgeable and reflective of what TRUE Mediterranean hospitality is all about. The ambiance only added to the perfection of Chapter 6. Kudos to the Chef, management and efficient service staff. I highly recommend this exceptional restaurant!

The service and atmosphere were excellent. It’s a great location on the light rail. Our server (Andrew) was outstanding. The food was pretty good but didn’t blow us away. Some good dishes and some others that were just so-so. If we come back it will be to try some of the other dishes on the menu. Roasted carrots: 4/5 Charred broccoli: 2/5 Verde chickpeas: 4/5 Butcher’s salad: 3/5 Gnocchi & lamb: 3/5 Melty Ndjua: 5/5

The Treatment is absolutely the way to go. They customize it for preferences (e.g., vegetarian, no shrimp, etc.) and the service is just so warm that you feel right at home. I was surprised it wasn’t loud in the restaurant even with Sycamore right next door. The food was incredible. Every single thing was so flavorful. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Made a reservation on a Tuesday night and had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Charlotte! The whipped Ricotta, Spicy Tuna Crudo, and Mushrooms were absolutely delicious and the highlights for me. We also had the rigatoni and the braised short rib and though tasty, they came second to the first three dishes. All the staff were attentive, energetic, and helpful. I will definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Google
Amazing food. Very pleasant host and servers. Beautiful restaurant. Hats off to the outstating chefs!!! The roasted mushrooms were super delicious. The melted nduja with house bread and the roasted carrots were also amazing. The cheesecake is a must for dessert. It was so good we ate some before we could even get a picture of the full piece. The flavors in each dish are top notch and beautiful. A unique experience with a unique blend of ingredients. Great vibe for date night or plenty of room for group. Definitely recommend! We will be back for sure! Actually went back for breakfast and the French toast was out of sight as well as the chefs whim frittata. The Moroccan mint tea was very refreshing.

Google
Great vibe and even better service. We ordered ‘The Treatment,’ which is a shared tasting menu, highly recommend! Both the steak and the trout were absolutely delicious. A fantastic dining experience overall.

Like any Rare Roots restaurant, Chapter 6 is phenomenal. This was our first visit here and after starting a Mediterranean diet in the new year, this was a great option to done on a Saturday night! My wife and I both did the treatment which was essentially a tasting menu based on the server and chefs recommendations based on some info. We had a TON of food including Tuna Crudo, whipped Ricotta, chicken skewer and lamb skewers, octopus puttanesca, rigatoni with lamb sausage, short rib and the world famous Moms cheesecake. Every piece of food we had was served in a great Mediterranean way. Service was phenomenal and located in such a great spot!

Yelp
Adventurous eaters, rejoice! If you love trying new things, Chapter 6 is the place for you! This place truly blew us away tonight - the vibe, the service, the FOOD... all were above and beyond! Our server, Amy, couldn't have been better - she was friendly, helpful and fun to talk to. We started with a few cocktails (which were good - not overly special, but solid), then we quickly realized we had to go for the treatment ($70 per person to have a custom, shareable menu designed for you). I can assure you that this is the way to go if you are very hungry and you want a memorable meal experience - there are some things she chose for us that we may not have picked but we were SO glad we got, and I am truly stuffed after all that food! We said what we like and pointed out a few things we definitely wanted to try, and we got TEN outstanding dishes throughout the night... - Whipped ricotta with pesto and grilled bread - Spicy tuna tartare (my husband's fav) - Lamb skewer (my fav) - Baby octopus skewer - Chicken thigh skewer - Charred broccoli - Lamb gnocchi - Pork cheek with house chips - Skate wing (our other favorite) - Peach & blueberry galette with a warm white chocolate drizzle, cherry gelato and baklava crumble (okay - this may have actually been my favorite ) Almost every single one was something we said, "I've never had something like this before," (especially the whipped ricotta, which reminded me of a savory whipped cream; the skate wing, which is apparently in the stingray family and was SO flavorful). There was clearly so much care and love put into each dish, and the format of the treatment was really fun and exciting (we had no idea what was coming when, and we truly felt like we were being treated to a special experience). I loved the MASSIVE original mosaic of the Mediterranean on the wall in the main dining room also - the whole place felt so carefully thought out and it really translated into a phenomenal experience. We will be recommending this to all of our friends for a special night out - it's one of a kind!

Yelp
I came here with a large group of coworkers for dinner and drinks. It's located in a very modern, trendy area. Upon entering, I was impressed by the bright, welcoming interior with its high ceilings and modern design. We opted to sit outside, and while the outdoor area is nice, it was a bit hot and humid for my taste. The seating is right next to a walking path, making it a prime spot for people-watching, especially with lots of young professionals passing by. The youthful energy of the South End area is definitely on display. I only tried their mocktails, which were decent but small for the price. The food is fusion Mediterranean, served tapas style. The grilled beef and chicken skewers were great, but the octopus was a letdown. We tried several other dishes, but they didn't leave a lasting impression. Overall, it's a cool place with a nice vibe, perfect for after-work hangouts or weekend meetups with friends.

Yelp
After looking up the best restaurants in the area this kept coming up and the photos looked very appetizing. I looked up the menu online and read several items that was making be excited. I came here on a Sunday which was the only day I was in town for and found out they were serving brunch. When I started looking through the menu it was only brunch items and nothing from their normal menu. I was so looking forward to the octopus and all their seafood options and all the other tasty looking items that drew me in. But none of them were on the brunch menu. That was very disappointing, a lot of restaurants still offer both menus regular + brunch but this was only brunch. I ended up ordering the Prix - fixe menu. Croissant, Mussels and the Wagyu burger. Everything was excellent but the star was that burger. Very juicy and lots of good flavors. Enough fancy items in a burger but not enough that it doesn't take away. Very solid burger. Mussels were very tasty with a small bite in the broth. Not too spicy though if you're scared of a little heat. Overall it was very good but I was really hoping for the main menu maybe next time I'm in town it won't land on a Sunday.

Yelp
LOVE this place. I have been multiple times now and it has been consistently delicious each visit. This was my first time doing brunch and I went with the prix fixe option which came with a pasty of my choice (I chose the honey croissant) a lease and a main. Every piece of the meal was amazing. So much flavor, all so layered and yummy. Indoor and outdoor seating available - indoor has a choice of high top tables or regular. Bar is full of options, music isn't too loud and even at night it's well lit to be able to see what you're eating. I feel like enough people aren't coming here, so if you're considering it - GO! Added bonus, they validate parking for "the line" parking garage.

Yelp
Amazing! Loved the mushroom toast. Everything was delicious and the cocktails were great. Will be back

Yelp
First time at Chapter 6 and what an adventure of food. The started Melty Nduja had great flavor and nice kick. The croquettes were smooth, tasty and delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly with nice flavors that went with it and paired nicely with the chorizo. And lastly the broccoli was fresh, crunchy and tasty with the sauce at the button of it gave it a nice touch! This was my first time here, the ambience and location is nice, the bar is the Central Park of this place and looks amazing!! I'm coming back to do the treatment next time. Drinks menu looks amazing but had wine this time.

Yelp
Chapter 6 recently started Sunday brunch service, and you NEED to get yourself over here and experience this! It's great for a group of friends or a date - laid-back vibes with good music, fun drinks, and unique food. You can (and should) get a drink tower with 2 or 4 drinks - pick from an option of spritzes and sangrias. The presentation makes for great pics! And the drinks are delish. We really enjoyed both the red sangria - which was fruitier than other sangrias I've had - and the strawberry montenegro spritz. 2 drinks for $18 was very reasonable! To eat, I went with the prix-fixe option ($35), which includes a pastry, and your choice of any mezze and main from the menu. My mom ordered one mezze for herself, and this was plenty of food for the 2 of us - we took home leftovers! The pastry was a chocolate babka, which came warm and LOADED with chocolate - it was so indulgent and delish. For my mezze, I ordered the whipped ricotta, which came with charred bread - the perfect accompaniment. I really enjoyed this dish, especially the bites with the mint-pitachio pistou and evoo. My mom's mezze was the mussels, which was a very good portion, and the bread was also great to dip in this flavorful sauce. The mussels were spicier than we expected, so just be warned if you're sensitive to that. For my brunch main, I ordered the fried chicken & za'atar croissant since I'd never seen that on a menu. The thin piece of chicken was moist and breaded perfectly, and the croissant was flaky and savory. It came with a sauce and pepper accompaniment, so you could play around with flavors and combinations. I loved this and absolutely recommend if you're curious to try something unique. As always, you can park in the The Line garage, which is in the same building, and the host stand will validate. This is my new fave brunch spot in Charlotte, so you know I'll be back!

Yelp
FINALLY made it to Chapter 6 another AMAZING WIN by Jon Dressler!!! I swear that guy has got his business down to a T - from Service, to decor, the vibe/music was great. But the food? Just hands-down THE BEST. I've never had a bad dish at any of his restaurants, I have 2 more on the list to try! My oldest treated us all to Mothers Day Dinner, it is Mediterranean style, and WONDERFUL!!! I think someone else had gone prior and shared a review, it's definitely tapas style. But there were five of us and we got to sample so many dishes!! We couldn't stop raving about the spicy (they really weren't spicy which was good) harissa mussels - I've NEVER had anything like them anywhere. They were perfectly cooked - and I do mean perfect. Couldn't believe how much meat! My son and I had one of the nonalcoholic drinks, Horchata - OMG!!! Rice milk, cinnamon, vanilla - sooooo good!! A really creative, wonderful flavor! Highly recommend you give it a try. And I love the idea they have tea pots and different coffees? I'm going to post the menu so everybody can see. Truly, there is flavor, a drink for every taste! By the way my daughter is gluten free and she was able to eat almost everything!! Just let your server know in advance. I don't know where they get the gluten-free crackers from? I would eat them on a regular basis. They are just so flavorful. We tried the pork cheek, it was so tender. Literally, you tapped it with your fork and it broke in half! Never had it before but absolutely, highly recommend it. We did the charred broccoli, roasted eggplant - omg soooo good!!! Seriously? Such creative ingredients/combination of different flavors. Octopus was beyond amazing, so fresh and tender, very flavorful. The whipped ricotta with fresh baked and grilled bread was over the top. I believe they make the bread in house. Prosciutto carpaccio was FANTASTIC!! Another of my favorites. Wagyu tartare was not to my taste because it had anchovy? I would've liked to have tried it without that, but everyone else enjoyed it. So it's definitely a personal preference and NOT any fault of the chef. Finally? The desserts? As always, hands-down, some of the best anywhere. Two servings of the EVOO almond cake was out of this world. Again, a really nice blend of flavors not overly sweet at all. I had the Rose Panna Cotte - WOW! Just WOW!!! it was so creamy, light beautiful blend of flavors. Son had sorbet and enjoyed it! I can't say enough about the Dresslers brand - everything he owns? It's worth the visit and price tag. Heard he is old school, hands-on/involved in all his restaurants, his employees respect and trust him and he treats them well. It shows. End to end great experience at Chapter 6!

Yelp
After reading Yelp Elite legend Meena P.'s glowing review for Chapter 6, I decided to pay it a visit for my birthday! With parking in Charlotte often presenting a challenge, I was relieved to find that the restaurant was connected to a parking deck! It was easy enough to find on the first floor after the security guard pointed me in the right direction. We had made a reservation for 4 people ahead of time and requested to be seated in the bar area based on Meena's recommendation. She was right, it definitely had a more lively atmosphere than the adjacent room where there was more seating. Our server Jennifer did a fantastic job of taking care of us. While we waited for our friends to arrive, she served us a couple of cocktails. For a celebratory vibe, I ordered La Vie en Rose while my boyfriend got the Amalfi Coastin'. I enjoyed the citrusy bubliness of my cocktail and that both of our drinks were almost the same color. I kept stealing licks of my boyfriend's tajin rim because I love how it spices up a drink. For our first dish, we decided to order the Verde chickpeas mezze. Even though it should have been obvious from the name, I didn't know chickpeas came in green. I loved the texture of the chickpeas and the flavor. Next, we shared a few small plates: the salt cod croquette, sherry braised pork cheek, and spicy tuna crudo. Be warned, the croquettes come out very hot on the inside. After we let them cool down, they tasted like a decadent fish stick. The texture inside the croquette was like mashed potatoes, it was so smooth. The pork cheek dish was solid, but nothing about it really jumped out at me. I was most excited about the spicy tuna crudo. The mouthfeel was a little weird when comparing the texture of the soft, smooth tuna mixed with chopped nuts. I likened it to almost like shrapnel in comparison. However, the subtle heat and flavor that lingered in my mouth  was nice. We also shared three small plates. After learning that the NC Market fish was scallops, it was easy to decide to order it. There was an interesting textural crunchy component, although I was sad we only got 2 scallops for the 4 of us. The Gnocchi & lamb had the perfect soft texture to the gnocchi. The sauce was delicious, and it was such a familiar, comforting dish. Our last small plate was the Rigatoni. The homemade pasta had the perfect chew, and the sofritas sauce had a decent kick to it. Jennifer decreed that for a birthday. there had to be dessert! She decided that we should order Mom's cheesecake, and she was right! It was so simple, light, and fluffy. It was just a plain cheesecake with cinnamon on top, but it was so good. The lit candle was a nice touch.

Yelp
Chapter 6 is an open, airy new eatery (in the same space as Sycamore Brewing) near the Rail Trail. It has a lovely simple, clean aesthetic but because it's in a lively environment connected to a brewery, other venues, a lobby and parking deck, you may have to raise your voice to hear each other. Plus it's a bit echoey due to the high ceiling and lack of enclosure. Cute spot though. Ok, ok the food & drink....cause that's what you came here for :-) The menu is a reflection of 6 different Western Mediterranean regions (hence the name Chapter 6 per the explanation I received): Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, France and Italy. I started with a dynamite French red blend called Ch. Les Gravieres de la Brandille - smooth with hint of spice but no overwhelming tannins. I was intrigued by the La vie en rose with strawberry rose cello, Cochise americano, cappelletti, citrus, bubbles. But, alas, next time. My favorite bite of the night was the Salt Cod Croquettes. Crunchy and golden brown outside. Creamy and perfectly seasoned filling. Amazing. The sweet raisin mostarda balanced out the savoriness while the zesty radish was a great accompaniment. *chef's kiss* Roasting vegetables is the ultimate way to enjoy most of them IMO. The roasted broccoli here looks like a whole tree on your plate, and I love that because it made for a more uniform char versus getting smaller pieces where they can tend to get too bitter. The pine nut romesco, lemon and Aleppo pepper with it was terrific. I kept eating this dish long after it had gone cold! I also very much enjoyed the Gnocchi and lamb. The meat was so tender and buttery. IYKYK that gnocchi can be a tricky preparation so as to not overdevelop the gluten, but they got it right. Nice toothy texture but still pillowy. As my entree, I ordered the Chicken Tagine. Somehow I neglected to snap a picture of it. SHAME! Anyway, great dish. If you're expecting a little more heat (as I was) just heap on a bunch of the flavorful sauce on your fork with each bite. The couscous that comes with it provides a great vehicle for soaking up said sauce with the chicken (so juicy BTW) and rounding out the dish. Dessert: If you're familiar with Dressler's then you may have seen on their dessert menu the Mom's Cheesecake. Well, it's at Chapter 6 also as this place falls under the Rare Roots Hospitality Group umbrella. Delicious. Simple, tangy, sweet. Love a graham cracker crust. I could use more of it myself. The chocolate mousse in the Pot de Crème was a bit too chilled upon arrival and had a slightly grainy texture that I didn't appreciate. The almond cookies were fine. Meaty and delicately sweet with a great chew. Now, almond is one of my all-time favorite flavors, so I don't mind being hit in the face with it in terms of desserts....which these cookies didn't do. But they were fine. Personal preference. ‍ The mural on the far wall is a gorgeous discussion piece. It represents the 6 countries mentioned above that are reflected in the menu. The tiles are the shape of each representative country. It composed of a bunch of small tiles which specifically hail from each particular country they represent by color. Apparently took the artist 10 months to create. Love. BONUS: Our server Rebecca is a rock star. Attentive and kind. Patient and personable. Great suggestions. Plus, she explained the story behind the mural. NOTICE: Chapter 6 is actually split into several areas: the dining room, a separate bar and lounge area, and a patio along the Rail Trail which is cool option when it's warm out. TIP: Park in the adjacent garage. The restaurant validates your stay.

Yelp
Rare Roots Hospitality does it again! We are big fans of Fin and Fino, so we were very excited to try this new Western Mediterranean addition to the family. Similar to their sister restaurant, Chapter 6 offers The Treatment, which is basically a tasting menu for $70/person. This truly is the best way to sample a variety of dishes for a great value. For two people, we received two starters, two small plates, two entrees, and one dessert. Our waiter did a great job picking our dishes and pacing them. As you can see from the pictures, it was a ton of food so come hungry because you are going to want to lick every plate clean.

Yelp
THE BIG: Beautiful dining spot in South End right on the light rail tracks. Parking is a bit tough but there is street parking and garage parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with a friend and the wife on a packed Friday night. The space is gorgeous and the matches up front were nice (they were the thick stick kind). We got a couple of drinks to start off with. My wife and I shared the house red wine carafe. Ordering, we split "The Treatment" between the 2 of us. The treatment is $70 and the waiter curates the dishes for you. The garlic spread, broccoli, and hangar steaks were my favorite. We additionally ended the night with their home made limoncellos as a digestif. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall damage done for 2 treatments, 2 cocktails, 3 limoncellos and a carafe of wine was ~$180 for 3 people. Would recommend trying when you're in the queen city.

Yelp
Chapter 6 is a very cute Mediterranean spot in South End. Highly recommend making a reservation for your next date night. I came with three other friend. Two friends and I decided to splice two "The Treatment" and it was fantastic. The waiter picks a bunch of dishes for you. All you have to do is order a drink and sit back. I shared a carafe of the house red and it paired well with everything. My favorites were the garlic, broccoli, eggplant, etc steak, and panacotta. We ended the night with their version of a lemoncello. It was very sweet in my opinion. I thought the table was way to small to fit everything we ordered. We ended up finding ways to stack plates and quickly eat our food. Overall the food was pretty good and we all left very satisfied.

Yelp
5 stars for food, service and ambience! Second time at Chapter 6 and it never disappoints. It's awesome to come with a big group and try all the different small dishes - we tried almost every dish but our favorites were the pork cheeks that just melted in your mouth, baby octopus, lamb kefta, gnocchi and mussels. The vegetarian dishes were exceptional as well - the smokey eggplant, nduja, and broccoli were all crowd favorites. However the highlight of the evening was our server Oscar! He was extremely attentive to our large group of 12 and made sure everyone was satisfied with everything, constantly checking in without hovering. He explained dishes on the menu and made great suggestions. He genuinely wanted us to have a great experience and we did! Thank you Oscar, we will be back! Oh their desserts and coffee was amazing too!

Yelp
Good was worth it, was packed on a Saturday night. Reservations are needed, the drinks are strong and the food portions are decent. It's a very grown and sexy vibe and worth the price. The whipped ricotta and bread is still in my dreams.

Yelp
We were so excited to finally get to Chapter 6! That area of Southend has grown and changed so much. There was a parking deck where the elevator took you right down to the restaurant which is next to Sycamore. The parking was $10 and Chapter 6 validated the ticket which was awesome. The hosts were welcoming and friendly! The restaurant itself is big with high ceilings and a large u-shaped bar with tons of tables in two separate areas (some around the bar and another section off to the side) and outdoor seating options as well. We decided to go for "The Treatment" and glad we did. They donate $5 of each treatment to a local charity as well which we loved. It is a great way to taste several different things on the menu driven by the server/chef based on your preferences. We started off with a couple cocktails (Last night in Ibiza & Peace & Friendship) both of which were delicious and well balanced. Then The Treatment began and we got the following: - tuna crudo - really awesome!! So many different flavors coming together for a fresh, flavorful dish - Lamb and chicken skewers - loved the lamb and it was very well cooked. The chicken wasn't our favorite but might have just been our taste buds - Braised pork cheek with homemade chips - probably our favorite of all of them. Perfectly cooked meat and the chips were incredible - Rigatoni - solid pasta pick! - Branzino - what a presentation!! So fun and was so flaky, tender and delicious - Cheesecake and gelato - both awesome and not too heavy! I would recommend all foodies try The Treatment first because it would be very easy to rack up way more than that without some restraint haha!

Yelp
Went there with a friend on Friday night. The front desk and our server were super nice and helpful - great service did give great first impression. The layout of the restaurant is nice - high tables, dining room, bar - can host groups from 2 to 8. The distance between the tables is good as well. The food was not as impressive as I thought it would be. Not saying that it was not good, but my expectation was very high - I've had great experiences with other Rare Roots restaurants, and this one - to some extent - is the "replacement" of Dogwood. Just not the best Mediterranean food I had in Charlotte. I wish the kitchen could put less salt in most of the dishes, and the octopus was a bit over cooked (over tendered). They offer $70 pp tasting menu which is a good option to try more dishes with a smaller group visiting. Also note that there is only street parking and no parking validation.

Yelp
My husband and I were excited to try Jon Dressler's new tapas restaurant, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Chapter 6 is located in the new building, The Line, with its own parking garage. (Parking was $10 on a Saturday evening, and not validated by the restaurant.) Despite being next to Sycamore Brewing, we couldn't hear any noise from the live band next door while dining at Chapter 6. We ate in the quiet dining room directly to the left of the hostess stand. Tables were nicely separated, the decor was lovely, and the dining room was comfortable. Service was exceptional. We started with two Peace & Friendship cocktails. While a bit small and a bit on the high end at $15, they were still very good. We are big fans of sharing small plates, so Chapter 6's menu was right up our alley. We enjoyed everything we tried, too! Here's a rundown of our dishes - 1. Melty Nduja - A, This dish was incredible! The peppers added so much to the flavor, and the accompanying bread was perfect. This was my husband's favorite dish. 2. Octopus Skewer - A, This dish was small, but mighty! The octopus was perfectly cooked--tender and very flavorful, especially with the added chimichurri. 3. Spiced Lamb Kefta Skewer - B, The lamb might have been slightly overcooked, but the flavor was there. We enjoyed the homemade tzatziki sauce, too. 4. Skate Wing - A, We've never had skate before, but this dish melted in our mouths. It was light in texture, tender, and absolutely delicious. 5. Seafood Stew - A, The broth was very flavorful and the seafood was perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish. 6. Olive oil almond cake - B+ - Dense texture, but very moist! Of all the dishes, we would repeat all of them, with the exception of the kefta. It was good, but we'd like to try something else on the menu next time. And we really didn't need dessert, so we'll probably forgo that the next time. All told, this was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I wish you could do half star ratings. This is a 3.5 rating for me. The ambiance and staff were so awesome! Our server was so attentive, she alone got two of the 3.5 stars. She is awesome as is the whole staff! The food was overall ok, we did their restaurant week menu. Started with their ricotta which was solid, but I'm not the biggest fan of ricotta. The star was the pork cheek and chips. It just melted in my mouth! Unreal good! That right there is a stellar dish! Their shishito peppers were also very solid I'd say. The areas that disappointed me were the octopus and chorizo. You expect octopus to have a more fishy taste, but it seemed the chorizo had a slight one too. Maybe it was just me, but not a great dish. The hanger steak was very disappointing. Lacking in flavor and seemed to get cold awfully quickly. I love hanger steak, but theirs is not worth it. I'll go back though just for the service!

Yelp
I'm shocked at all the good reviews to be honest. As a huge foodie and loved of Mediterranean food, I was super stoked to eat here. Unfortunately, I left feeling meh I think overall, the food is bland, everything lacks flavor. There were no standouts with the dishes for me. We tried the whipped ricotta - ok, but no real flavor, the star of the show was the bread. We had the tuna crudo. Again, super bland. The blistered peppers were probably my favorite. The seasoning was great on those. We ended with the rigatoni. Again, I felt the dish lacked flavor. The sausage was really good but the rest of it was again, meh. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe and the cocktail menu is fabulous. I think the service was slow and our waiter was ok. Since they're so new maybe they're going through growing pains but based on my dinner this evening, I wouldn't return.

Yelp
We had a group of four so we ordered almost all of the tapas and a couple of the mezze to share. The food was really good overall and left a positive impression on me. Downside to this place was that the service--while friendly--was quite slow, and the atmosphere was odd due to the location and noisiness. Overall, I'd recommend it and I'd come back, but probably for lunch outdoors in warmer weather. Delicious: - olives and almonds: I love olives and these ones were so good - tuna crudo: really liked the chili crisp and citrus - melty nduja: flavorful and I liked the soft toasted bread they served - baby octopus and octopus skewer: cooked well and came with tasty accompaniments - broccolini: charred perfectly and nice red pepper sauce - roasted eggplant: lovely flavors - chicken skewer: nice and savory. Would be great with a lemon wedge - Anaheim peppers: so spicy and different - rose panna cotta: perfect balance of flavors but I could've done with less crumble on top. Pass: - salt cod croquettes: thought these were bland - harissa mussels: cooked well but not a strong flavor and definitely not of harissa - lamb skewer: could only taste chili - pork cheek: cooked perfectly but best part was really the chips - prosciutto: good although a lot going on with the nuts, cheese, and fennel - gelato: chocolate tasted chalky and I didn't like the toasted pistachio either - cheesecake: good if you like cheesecake but nothing to write home about I had the horchata, which was good but more like a slushee consistency. The Moroccan mint tea was nice as well. Check then out!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my fishing experience at Chapter 6. The bartender was sweet and helped recommend a wine and small plate. The Tuna A La Plancha was great. The fried potatoes and spices complimented the tuna well. Will definitely be back

Yelp
We came for one of their first weekend brunches and it was SO good! Highly recommend the prix fix menu - so much food and at such a good price. The whipped cheese and pastry were DELISH, and the burger and crab brik were devoured by everyone at our table. The spritz tower was disappointing....they were weak and the flavors weren't really there. I would recommend the cherry limeade cocktail instead. service was awesome and I can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner!!

Yelp
Do you I recommend this place?? Absolutely 100%...there are not many places these days you can go to that are new and you absolutely love from start to finish. Everything at Chapter 6, food, drinks, service and atmosphere was amazing. I have to give a special mention to our stellar server Ella, she was a complete ray of sunshine, so accommodating and so easy going. She took care of our group of 5 so well. If you can get her, try to! She is the best. So we started off with drinks! I had a espresso con Panna , espresso with sweet amaro whipped cream, yum. So indulgent , the cream was slightly sweet but not overly. The espresso was also good with whipped on top. Cute cups too! Espresso martinis on point, and perfect presentation. Perfect baileys, and froth ratio! Negronis, classic, good color, great taste. Nice sippers. The pep in my step, gin, dolin blanc, cappelletti, and lemon. Definitely a different one for me, but I really liked it. Loved the presentation not too sweet, but a different taste than what usually get. Try this. The lemon zest dolin blanc, a perfect summery warm weather spritz. Light, fruity, and cool. Very refreshing and again a pretty presentation. The wines we had reds and white were also, really good, Ella let us try them first which was also super nice. Also to note, one of our group asked for a glass of champagne which isn't something typical on their menu, probably something you have to order by the bottle. The bartender decided to open one to give her the glass, which again was very nice and accommodating! Like I said service was impeccable. The food.... Absolutely everything we had was phenomenal. Each dish was a step above what I had imagined when we ordered. So much flavor, creativeness, presentation went into each order, and we ordered a lot. The avocado toast, the one thing I did not try, looked way better than any toast I'd seen before. The avocado wasn't mashed but more chunks, with poached eggs on top grilled sourdough, with salsa matcha, and pistachio dukkah. They said it was so filling, and extremely delicious. Whipped ricotta, served with grilled bread, nice light, tangy, good appetizer. The octopus and chorizo, probably one of my favorite dishes we had, kinda like comfort food, hearty sauce, potatoes and onion, very stew like. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the chorizo was nice and spicy. Lamb skewer, served on tzatziki, with onions, had again great flavor and cooked perfectly. The mussels, so get these and ask for spicy if you can handle it. Ella decided we'd like the spicy so went ahead and told the chef to step up the harissa sauce! She wasn't wrong, love her for that and she had them give us the milder too in case we didn't like it. Both were excellent, great quality mussels, the sauce was fantastic, nice spicy, great to soak the bread into! Which she bought us plenty of! The mushroom toast, wow, again not your average dish, sourdough bread, sherry cream, egg on top, this was another favorite. Just so much good flavor, the bread and mushrooms were outstanding. The spicy tuna crudo, nice, light, refreshing, nice to have a light one in the mix, the tuna literally melted in your mouth though, the orange, gave it a little zip, but yes this was delicious. So fresh. Lastly the skate wing! The bacon Smokey flavor, dominated the sauce, but you can still appreciate the skate itself. The caper butter gave it a nice richness to a otherwise light fish. This was totally different way of serving fish, but really still focusing on the fish. Loved this. We definitely worked our way through the menu, which I love all the shareable plates. Ella also gave us a couple of rounds of churros! On the house! Nice hot and crunchy , I think she just liked us! Thank you Ella you are a good enough reason to come back! There was plenty of other things I want to try. So yes I'll be back! This place was esthetically beautiful! They had some amazing artwork on the walls, beautiful decor. Lighting was nice and different. They have definitely captured the western Mediterranean vibe. Chapter 6 is a place that should be in your must go to list , food and drinks are top notch, the service we got was the best in a long time. The staff here are definitely trained well and you can see it. We spent a fabulous Sunday funday here for several hours!

Yelp
A place with great ambience and a parking strucrure and amazing service. They hit the mark on almost everything. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is probably the food to price. The cocktails and wine pricing I feel is very good. The food however... We got the 70 dollar per person and let the server give us a taste of the restaurant. Some were delicious and some were just Ok. Especially the ahi tuna wad over salted and pork cheeks were quite dry. My favorites were the lamb dishes.

Yelp
Atmosphere and waiter were great! My cocktail was also super good. However, i felt like prices were a little steep. I just felt like the menu was a little limited, and for what you're paying, the servings were a bit small. This pasta was around $20 and it didn't fill me at all. Just something to keep in mind! It tasted good though so I wasn't disappointed.

Yelp
This is no joke my new favorite restaurant in CLT! Every dish was so flavorful! The lamb and seared tuna dishes were incredible. I ordered a second order of the spicy tuna crudo bc it was so good. We tried several plates and there wasn't a single dish that was disappointing. The cocktails were good also. I loved the "amalfi coastin" and the "peace & friendship" cocktails. I wasn't a fan of the "Last Night in Abiza"--a little too strong for me. The ambiance is modern and elegant. This spot is perfect for a date night, GNO or if your just looking to impress friends & family! I'm so ready to go back.

Yelp
What a wonderful date night experience. The place is beautiful and they have thought thru lots of neat details. Parking in a deck with validation is also a plus! The food was delicious, some of the best we've had in CLT. Roasted garlic is the stuff of dreams and paired with the ricotta was perfection! Pork checks, octopus, tuna crudo and skate were all a yes! Jennifer our server was sweet and genuine. My water glass was never had empty and everyone working there had a smile. Already planning our return!

Yelp
*Noting my review is from friends & family night, two days before official opening* My husband and I got an early preview of this new western Mediterranean restaurant brought to you by the Dressler's. The inside is bright, airy and inviting and quite large. There is outdoor seating too. The U-shaped bar holds nearly 20 people and if you've been to fit in Fin & Fino, it's got a similar set up. The drinks are well balanced, and ones that you can't just get anywhere. One, the Peace & Friendship, is an olive oil washed daiquiri with capers, mint, basil in lime. There are new and old faces from the other restaurants behind the bar. Outside is the only spot with TVs and there are some overhead heaters on the patio as well. The menu is full of variety. It's mezze, tapas and small plates with a few larger shareable dishes. Some dishes we got for the blistered Anaheim peppers, fennel frito, seafood salad (shrimp and octopus), skate wing and charred broccoli on pine nut romesco. Very enjoyable and open daily with brunch soon.

Yelp
Great service, our waiter was helpful and nice. Lowkey vibe as well, just perfect. Four of us, so we ordered a bunch of plates... Melty Nduja Sherry Braised Pork Cheek Roasted Eggplant Charred Broccoli Skate Wing Rigatoni All of us enjoyed the pork cheek the most. Extremely tender, and moist. The broccoli had a nice dipping sauce. Everything else was good, would definitely go again, but Pork Cheek is a must try. I'd most likely try all new stuff if I go back.

Yelp
This place is insanely good. I can't lie, I was scared to try some of the food because I am a bit of a picky eater, but I tried everything and am so glad I did. Everything was fantastic. My favorite was definitely the gnocchi and lamb, but you can't go wrong with anything you order. Service was fantastic, both the waiters that helped us were super great and quick. Ambiance was also great, my boyfriend and I sat outside and it was wonderful. The inside is beautiful too. Really great restaurant overall, definitely worth the price.

Yelp
Chapter 6 exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is great, bar area is large. It's part of the restaurant group that owns Dressler's and Fin&Fino which are other favorites of mine. We chose "The Treatment" for $70/person to taste the menu mentioning any items we were eyeing and anything we did not like. Our server, Leslie's selections did not disappoint. We had whipped ricotta, melty nduja, chicken thigh skewer, lamb skewer, harissa mussels, braised pork cheek, charred broccoli, rigatoni, and hanger steak! Everything was so flavorful, meat was tender, and the bread served with it was also delicious! We had a couple cocktails and a reasonably priced perfectly paired Portuguese wine picked for us by the sommelier. I was so full by the end, but what an experience! Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
We tried the confit garlic (didn't care to order but ended up being very good), octopus skewer, skate wing (!!), and the Spanish octopus dish and everything was well done. Skewer was a bit too charred but not bad. Cassandra was our waitress and took good care of us

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant! The food is just incredibly good and I love the small plates. We started with some yummy craft cocktails and relaxed and ordered a couple of tapas and nibbled and enjoyed. Then we had a great bottle of wine recommended by Hilary and ordered a small plate. The only problem I can think of is that it is so hard to decide. Every bite was a work of art.

Yelp
Love the ambiance of this restaurant and the location. The menu was slightly limited for picky eaters but the tapas plates made it fun to try different things. I tried skate for the first time (stingray) and it was delicious. Definitely recommend the broccoli too!

Yelp
Best meal of my life. The service by Gil was outstanding. Our party did the "treatment" which allowed us to sample a majority of the menu. Literally everything I put in my mouth ranged from "good" to "one of the best things I've eaten". Would I go back? Yes, a thousand times. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Great service but unfortunately lacking in flavor and ambience. Im sure there are some spots in the restaurants that offer a cozy feel but considering we were sat right next to the atrium, we were most certainly not in one of those spots. My friends and I ordered a handful of dishes to share but the only thing even remotely memorable for any of us was the toasted bread. The whipped ricotta needed more seasoning or perhaps some lemon zest. The nduja cheese was on the right track but lacked depth. Ive had better straight out of a jar. The mussels tasted fresh but were rather boring. The prosciutto with pistachios and fennel seemed like a thrown together idea that just did nothing for each other. All of the plates I could easily make at home AND better for that matter. I will say the cocktail was delicious and our server was lovely. Did we order the wrong things? Or maybe this is yet another restaurant in Southend to put on the long list of restaurants in Charlotte that sell (at top dollar mind you) style over substance

Yelp
Very good food ! Loved the octopus, whipped ricotta, spiced lamb kefta, and the mussels. Nice atmosphere....patio great for people watching ! Cosistantly great, friendly service...like bartender Josh who mixed great cocktails !

Yelp
Food was delicious. The ambience and music of the place is very nice and peaceful. Especially the outside seating. Great for a date night. The octopus & chorizo was delicious. I've never liked octopus so I had 0 faith in this dish but it was delicious. 10/10. The gnocchi and lamb was also delicious. 8/10. The wagyu tartare was also good, but nothing special, 7/10. Drinks were amazing. Salud and winter in cyprus were great, and they don't skimp on the drinks, since there's light ice in it. Overall 10/10 experience and would go again.

Yelp
There was a bit of a wait so we decided to sit at the bar, which has plenty of seats. The service at the bar was excellent. The Peace & Friendship cocktail was unique and delicious, our favorite drink of the night. We had the spicy tuna crudo, the blistered Anaheim peppers, the seafood stew and the skate wing, which was plenty of food for two people. All were great, but the skate wing was definitely the stand out. The restaurant has a really open layout and there is a nice patio as well. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love!! Great new spot for tapas. Definitely worth checking out if you're in south end! Would recommend the mushroom toast

Yelp
Amazing place. Charlotte needs more restaurants like this. Food is great. Staff is extremely friendly/helpful. Wine selection is decent. Laid back atmosphere. Ordered roughly 10 items - 9 of them were amazing. Hard to miss with such a wide range of menu options. Cannot wait to return and try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Beautiful and elegant unique new mediterranean restaurant located next to Sycamore Brewery and In the Line in the south end. Food is very carefully crafted. Tend to be a touch salty. Flavors are new and exciting for your mouth with a nice spicy kink. Great staff, beautiful ambiance, and a wonderful experience! Will be back to try more things!

Yelp
We went to Chapter 6 for their Feast of Seven Fishes. We each had 3 cocktails so we tried almost all of their menu and all the drinks were delicious. The food courses were also delicious. However, each dish took 20-30 min to come out so we were there for a total of 3 hours. It was really way too drawn out (hence the 3 cocktails each). They did notice at the end how long everything was and provided a free cheesecake as an apology which was very kind.

Yelp
We just came for a few cocktails to check it out and had Hunter as our bartender. He was super helpful and insightful and lead us in the right direction. The drinks were delicious and liquor forward. $15 each and $7 for 4 different limoncello choices. I can't wait to come back for date night!

Yelp
Excellent food, service was also wonderful. We made a reservation for adults plus a stroller and they sat us in the back corner so I was very worried the service wouldn't be good but the staff was excellent. Our server even got us items that weren't on the menu because we enjoyed a side so much. Drinks were good, and they had a full bar so we were able to order regular mixed cocktails. I enjoyed that I could also order two sizes of wine. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go again!

Yelp
We have enjoyed Chapter 6 twice since it opened. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is a beautifully decorated space. The lamb skewer is amazing as is the melty Nduja. Recently had the ricotta goat cheese gelato at the bar manager's suggestion. So glad he recommended it because it was amazing. Try the "Shorties", a variety of cello cocktails. Can't wait to go back and try more of the food and cocktails.

Yelp
We forgot to take a photo of the rest of our food because we ate it so fast! Everything was so delicious. Our favorite was the whipped ricotta and broccoli. Gil was so helpful with the menu! The restaurant had a great ambiance.

Yelp
We loved everything about our visit! The skate wing and melt undies in particular were fantastic!
