I ordered the Irish omelet that was on special. The cornbeef was very good but the hash browns were under cooked and there was no cheese on it. I asked the waitress before I order it what kind of cheese was on it and she told me Swiss. My toast was cold and crumbled when I tried to eat it.

If you have the craving for a steak then this is the place! I will say that you pay for what you get here all their cuts are top notch and their sides are all home style it will make the dining experience feel like your at home eating. And if you enjoy sweets then the freshly made cinnamon rolls are amazing!! the other fresh made options are just as good. over all this is a place to bring the family or a loved one for a date night.

AMAZING service and atmosphere, but some members of my party thought that their meals (chicken enchiladas and the hot beef plate) could have had more meat, but they weren't bad. Also, the Mac and cheese was pretty good, but didn't have a particularly strong flavor. Drinks (soda and water) were good!

Restaurant closes at 10 but they close off the booth section before 7pm . Came in at 640pm with my 4 & 6 year old little girls and husband and was told the only section open was the bar area. High tables and seats at the bar were the only available options. Full bar and 2 full high tables of all grown adult men. Ashame because we heard the steak was good there from locals and we all had a taste for some delicious red meat. Lose lose ... Think outside the box, crude snobby hostess...

Came in for breakfast. Wasn't all that busy, yet took 30mins for them to take our order for food, and another 40 mins for an order of an omelet, and biscuits and gravy, 2 sides of bacon and a side of hash browns. Only got 1 side of bacon that was cold, the biscuits and gravy looked like it had been sitting for some time, no butter on the toast. Hash browns seemed under cooked.

We came in and found a seat. Someone took our drink order but then did not return for 15 to 20 min. Two other waitresses walked by but said nothing. I seen another waitress and waved her over, when she came over we told her what happened she said we will be right back to take your order. About 5 min later the guy behind us asked if we had ordered we said no and he Saif I wouldn't and told us he waited about and hour for food then received cold food. We said thank you and left.

The food and service are hit or miss. You can go there sometimes and wait for up to an hour for your food to come out whether or not they are busy. I don't understand why they even ask how you would like your burger or steak cooked. In the end the cook is going to cook it however he wants. Too many times, ive told them medium rare and my steak or burger comes out well done. The upcharge for things such as mustard is absolutely absurd, I cant say ive ever been to a place thats upcharges for condiments especially at their prices. If your looking for good food and service everytime you go, this is not the place to go. As a local Ive eaten here time after time again and I won't be back! I need consistent good food and service and don't want to have to worry about canceling my plans for the day due to slow service

Right off the main roadway with a large parking lot in front and around the side. Love the cowboy theme. Walked in and found a seat at the bar. Courtney waited on us and she came by asking for our drink order and provided us with menus. I ordered the butterfly shrimp basket, side salad and a Margarita. My husband had a patty melt with fries. Both came out quick and hot. Really enjoy that they had a AMI Jukebox so I could harass the restaurant with my country playlist lololol. Always a good time on a Friday. Bathroywas clean and well lit. Establishemnet was wide open with lots of seating, clean and accessable to get around.

2 domestics, 6 boneless wings, $16 Pretty tough to love it. Guess that's just what it takes to eat out anymore.

What a great little steakhouse! In classic west Michigan fashion, portions are generous, the server was friendly, efficient, and fast, the environment is casual and welcoming, and the prices are very fair. A great place to get a cold beer and a big steak!

The attention to customer service was beyond impeccable. We gave no notice of our party of 16 and the waitstaff moved tables and chairs to provide us with one large table instead of splitting us up. Food was excellent, offerings were unique (I had the cherry-jalapeño pork loin.), and even this smokehouse had choices for our vegetarian family members. Our meals were ready quickly and our waitress was patient, kind, and accurate with all of our requests.

Great food and great service! We just happened to stop on their 5 year anniversary and received rollback prices!

Showed up here at 7:38 sign/online says they close at 9 and open sign was on , when we started unloading , they turned the open sign off , so I walked in to ask and got told they did not want to serve us . There was one other car in the parking lot so I get slow buisness and wanting to close , but should've turned the sign off before people pulled in. I worked restaurant when I was younger and have never turned customers down especially if our sign was on , will definitely be considering wether it's worth making a drive here ever again.

The food didn't taste very good at all. Paid an extra $1.00 for lettuce, didn't get it. Our waitress was very rude and just seemed annoyed and pissy with us the entire time.

this was our 2nd time at Chapz. The first time went alright but the second time we had a waitress that was horrible. She never smiled and looked sloppy and acted bothered. I ordered my steak and potato, my husband asked if there was coffee made, the hostess said yes so he said he wanted the same steak and coffee. The waitress never said anything about salad. 2 salads came with ranch, we didn't want ranch, and no coffee ever came till almost the end of our meal. By then He didn't want it. My husband tried to eat his dry steak meal with no drink, and the waitress got no tip. We won't be back.

Food was great for lunch and the service was spot on! We would go back to check out the dinner menu with no hesitation!

Waited over an hour for our food waitress forgot to put our order in and apologized said it would be a couple of minutes. That turned into another half hour wait while all around us people ate and left even a seven top that came in well after us. Compensating us by taking off drinks (pop and ice tea) and 10% should have comped the whole meal at that point

The steak is amazing! The service and atmosphere are very nice, too! We haven't tried anything we didn't like! We've gone twice now and it was great both times!

it took way to long to get our food (about 1 hour) lady didn't talk to us at all only to give us our food and pay food wasn't even pretty good or worth the money keep in mind they weren't even busy and still took awhile won't come back again

If you like meat and potatoes this is your joint! We came in with a party of 14 on short notice. They accommodated us quickly. The food and drinks came out quickly and everyone enjoyed the service and food. The chicken gizzards were excellent!

Food, drinks, and service is usually pretty good. They have great salads - really large! A couple not great experiences, but would definitely recommend - the good outweighs the bad if you're local! It's always a fun time.

Wow first time here- steak great flavor and yummy, smoked pulled pork was perfect and the sweet potato fries were crispy! Full and satisfied! Oh and thankful they have babymaker cider so a perfect meal!

Once again I was duped into eating at this marginally passible restaurant. Food is subpar and the overall atmosphere is stifling with over zealous nationalism. Please, I don't need politics and Jesus with my meal, I just want good food!

Fantastic hot beef sandwiches with real mashed potatoes and great tasting gravy. Been here three times and always gets their hot beef sandwiches. Husband gets burgers and they are huge. This time he tried beef tips with mashed potatoes and gravy. This is our first choice stop off place when going through town on long trips. Food has always been good, hot, and service very good.

Good food, very nice staff, I really enjoy the western theme. Good place to go if you can't get a seat in any other resteraunts

Worst service ever ... waitress full Of excuses...it took over an hour to get our food. My dish was terrible beef tips with noodles.. the meat was so tough it was like chewing cardboard and they forgot the mashed potatoes as well..

Great lunch with friends! Other friends recommended the place, When you live & hour from a major city you need to check out some of the smaller towns nearby, forty minutes N.E. Of us. Nice place our waitress was the best! A lot of fun & great personality her name was Amanda I ordered chapz burger cooked to perfection Fuzzy had the wings & the girls had there chicken wrap, great assortment of beverages! Except Budweiser products! I think the owner needs to put his big pants on over this!, that was are only complaint!

Steak was unevenly cooked, half well done and half medium as ordered. Ordered baked potato and salad with my steak and only received the potato. Restaurant is clean and waitress was friendly, just not impressed overall.

Can't yell you about the food but I can tell you that we went in and it there were very few people in the place. They said hi sit any place - 4 wait staff all looked at us. We sat 2 tables from this group of wait staff. After 10 mins of no contact and the one wait staff walking inches by us no less than 4 times - waited 5 morw minutes- I watched 6 other people come in pick seat gets menus and service but nothing for us... there are mistakes and there are problems and I flex most of the time but to be ignored by the staff is incompetent! When I contacted the restaurant they justified the poor service and said the staff must have missed you! THAT WAS THE PROBLEM! Well give it a shot maybe you get lucky and they will want to make money!

Dropped by on our way from Mount Pleasant to Muskegon and glad we did. Our party of three had: Cowboy Burger with sweet potato fries; Pulled Pork sandwich with roadhouse fries; and the Chapz Burger (not deluxe) with the beer battered fries. Everything was excellent! Huge burgers/sandwiches and our service was great! Glad we stopped!

My wife and I ate here today for breakfast and were very pleased with this restaurant. We both had omelettes and they were excellent, good size portions too, we both had to get to go containers for the rest. The service was great, we we're the only ones there when we got there but it started getting busier by the time we left, and the waitress continued to do a good job. The restaurant was clean and appeared to be pretty new, I don't think they've been open long. Famly friendly too ay least when we were there. We will definitely be going back to try their lunch and dinner menus at another time.

Went for steak with family while my brother visiting from out of town and out of 9 steaks they were all burnt beyond recognition! We all ordered med! One in the group had chicken fried steak said gravy was really chunky ? The waitress forgot all sides,everything, like no potatoes no garlic toast no beans ! Brought appetizers out 2 min before food , no plates or silverware. Couldn't get a refill on tea to save our lives. Not sure what happened but this place went down hill! Too bad I will spend my money elsewhere in town! We may try again but will be a while before I can get my husband to go back!

Absolutely amazing ribs.Baked potatoes were large and just as delicious. Can't wait to try the steak next time.

We've been coming here since they opened, it's the best restaurant in this small town. We live here and eat here a couple times a month. We've had a few not perfect steaks but that happens when Covid took a lot of the staff, and had to find new employees. Their cowboy beans are the bomb.

SMHID! Parking lot packed at 5 pm on a Saturday night while restaurants are closed due to a raging pandemic. Electronic sign flashing "you can't stop what's coming" and something to the effect of God-given right to breath oxygen unobstructed. Will add to my growing list of never dining spots.

The service was good, and the burger was great, but the harassment my wife has received from both our waitress & this establishments Facebook account after leaving an honest review detailing our dining experience has completely ruined the vibe from this place. We had high hopes going into chapz, as there's only a few restaurants around lakeview but this is not how anyone should run a business or treat paying customers. 0/10 would not recommend, based solely on the treatment received AFTER we had already left.

Horrible service been there multiple times waited on average 1.5 hours for food. my grandmother was screamed at by a waitress for asking what was taking so long after they waited 20 minutes for a server to take their drink orders. The owner watched my grandmother struggle to drag her walker out of her backseat and then proceeded to stand there and watch her struggle to open the door with her walker and never once offered to help in any way because he was too busy smoking his cigarette. Most of the time when we go there we are told that they are out of half of there menu, the wait staff is either a hit or miss it's either great or the rudest wait staff I've ever encountered 110% do not recommend going to this resteraunt and would not suggest another person goes in this establishment.

I will never go back. I order a medium steak and it came out medium well to well done. The outside of the steak was burnt and crispy. Who ever cooked that steak doesn't know how to cook. There were half dozen people in there eating. So it wasn't busy. The bake potato was really good.

This place has great food and friendly attentive servers. I support them staying open even when the government try's to shut them down!! I support CHAPZ and individual freedoms!!!!!

The best food this side of heaven. My favorite is their beef tips, but I have LOVED everything I've tried here. Our waitresses have always been friendly and made us feel like we were home. The owner actually takes the time to talk with us. I've fallen in love with their carrot cake (and I've never ever liked it anywhere else I've tried it)!

Stopped in while traveling on 46 back home from a baseball game. Zack was our server and he did an excellent job for our group of 7. I had the special of meat loaf with mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus!! It was so good. Others had the Mac and cheese, chicken strips, burgers, pulled pork and a salad!! Another one which I got taste was the beef tips on mashed potatoes...oh yah so good. Dinner came out fast too!! We will definitely stop back when in the area. Thanks again Zack had a great visit. Very clean also!!

The owner is friendly and the staff is nice, however, the service was less than desirable. We waited for 45 minutes after ordering our food, then was finally told they didn't have ribs and I had to chose something else. After over an hour, we left only paying for our drinks and appetizers. Got pizza from Main Street pizza instead.

Went in during COVID even though I didn't think they were supposed to be open. Sat at the bar as I was alone and waited for 20 minutes for service. There were maybe 5 tables with customers and 3 -4 waitresses. I was given a menu and no one ever came back to take my order...so disappointed as I was really hoping to eat out for the first time in a couple months. I will not be back as I can only assume the service would be worse if they were busier!

Went there last Sunday took my mom out valentine's day and Heather was are server and we each had the rib and 2 side and diet pepsi the food and the service was out of this world and I think it was the owners they were wright on it they were looking around like a light house very impressed we are going back tomorrow for breakfast it are now to go place and looking over the menu and the prices were real fair I hope we get Heather again

I'm so glad this area finally has a good sit down restaurant. While there is a bar, it's family friendly, with booths and a full GOOD menu. We've been waiting for something besides truck stops and bars, and this is exactly it. A lot of options on the menu, good food, and a nice environment. All that's missing is a sign out front. Hopefully that's coming soon, because I would have never stopped in had I not heard about it from someone else. Finally, somewhere in the county to sit down for a good steak!

This was my first time dining here and I was very impressed. I got the Prime Rib which was delicious and cooked pretty good. I didn't care for the Au Jus sauce. It had kinda a strange taste to it. My friend got the Porterhouse and that was very good. The portion sizes are huge and the staff was very good.

After a horrible first visit (weekend opener) we have had 3 nice visits. Best "fall off the bone" ribs I've had in a while (only on Friday and Sat.). Burgers are good but not matter how you order them it seems they are all cooked mid well to well. I wish they had at least one "fresh fish" entree, maybe just for Friday? Look forward to continued visits as they work out the bugs.

Nicely redone restaurant in area we visit. Service was good. Food was mixed review by our table of 5. Ribs were good, steaks were excellent, burger was okay, chicken fingers had way too much breading. Sides were also mixed bag. Salads were good, onion rings and fries tasted like the oil was not hot enough when they were cooked causing greasy feel to them and were not served hot. The worst pet peeve I have is that the unusually scripted bill almost demands a 20% tip on top of the tax which actually results in a 27.7% tip for the food, drinks order. Please change that practice, as we don't need to pay you a tip for tax too!!!

We visited on a recommendation and were sadly disappointed. We were seated very quickly and were served drinks quickly as well. We put in our order and proceeded to sit for well over an hour waiting for our food. Our waitress walked past us, quickly, numerous times, almost like she was trying to avoid eye contact. During this time, not one person stopped by our table to ask if we needed another drink, etc. Finally we caught the eye of another staff, who asked if we were "Doing ok". When we told her how long we'd been waiting for our food, she walked away to find our waitress. After several minutes our waitress walked over and said, "You guys can just go". This seemed odd, so I asked for clarification. She then explained that she somehow failed to place our order. She seemed embarrassed, but sadly, nobody offered to do anything to make it better. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant to eat. Unfortunately we will not be back.

The food was pretty good but it left a little to be desired it could've been warmer. The service was not great the waitress had said if I get busy I won't be checking in on you which was very rude to say. The bathrooms were not clean there were stuff on the toilet seats. Overall it was decent but I would not go back.
