Char Pizzeria Halcyon is a true gem in Atlanta’s dining scene. From the moment you walk up, you can feel the passion and care that Chef John Frank Cely and his team puts into every detail. His pizzas are nothing short of EXTRAORDINARY — perfectly blistered, balanced, and bursting with authentic Neapolitan flavor. Favorites like the spicy Brava, La Passione with meatballs and peppers, Margherita DOP, with bufala mozzarella and our favorite Pepperoni Hot Honey each bring their own personality — bold, refined, and unforgettable. The Truffle Wood Pizza, topped with mushrooms and caramelized onions, is pure indulgence and adds a rich, earthy depth that beautifully complements the menu. Even the Caesar and Rucola Salads stand out — crisp, bright, and elevated with the same attention to detail you’d expect from a truly chef-driven kitchen. To finish, the house-made Tiramisu and Cannoli were the perfect sweet finale to an exceptional meal. There was 6 of us and every bite at Char Pizzeria Halcyon reflects Chef John’s years of dedication and mastery as a pizzaiolo. It’s more than a restaurant — it’s a culinary experience that raises the standard for pizza in Atlanta. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates authentic craftsmanship, warm hospitality, and exceptional flavor.

TRUE Neapolitan style pizza in this little food court, and possibly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I’ve tried several notable pizza places all over Atlanta… Antico’s, Varasano’s, Varuni Napoli and have been fortunate enough to travel the world, including several times to Italy. And with all that said… I genuinely was shocked at how good this pizza was. If you like spicy and savory, the Brava is a must. Their Bianca was also incredible (more my fiance’s style of pizza than me), but the sauce on the red pizzas really brings such an amazing vibrancy and freshness that I can hardly suggest anything else!

Pizza was fresh and delicious. The crust was soft with the perfect amount of crisp on the edges. Pepperoni had burnt crispy edges and the cheese had great cheese pull. Just overall perfect. Will be back for sure.

I just moved to cumming and was looking for restaurants. Did my digging and when I found this place I wasn’t sure of what I was getting. When I tell you this is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried I’m not lying. By eating the pizza you can tell every single one of the ingredients you’re eating is authentic, the pizza has the perfect thickness, the quantity of tomatoes and cheese is perfect, not to mention that all of this was made in 8 minutes!!! Fast, amazing flavor, and amazing ingredients, authentic; the tiramisu and nutella pizzas were incredible, perfect for dessert. Every single thing about this place is perfect. Loved that because the ingredients are authentic, you don’t get this feeling of being so full at the end of eating, every ingredient is light. Also the cashier and the waitress are amazing people, they greet you and they make you feel welcome, also they help you choose what you want, they were awesome and since I speak spanish it was great that they could describe the pizzas in spanish too. Congratulations to the owner and all the staff that works here, definitely will be back.

It’s difficult to find accurate reviews that aren’t artificially pumped up by friends of the business owners these days. I’m not sure where Char falls with regard to their reviews but my experience was not positive compared 4.7 at the time of this posting. We had 2 adults and 1 child so we placed an order for two medium pizzas, one cheese and one pepperoni. Total came to a little over $45 including tax. Service was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. The food, however, fell very short of expectations. The pizza was extremely thin and the cheese was sparse. To further insult the experience the outer crust was very wide, making our 14” pizza feel like a 10”. I’m not sure whether they were extremely busy and haphazardly threw it together, but even considering the premium price one normally pays to eat at the Halcyon I would’ve expected a more food than what was received. The flavors were good. The sauce was flavorful, and the cheese seems to be good quality. Even the prodigious amount of bread, what I ate of it, was well prepared. Sadly, it missed big on the ratio between price/quantity/quality. Maybe it was an off day so I might try it again but with so many other places to eat, it’ll be a while.

If you’re looking for a meal that hits every note of flavor, CHAR Pizzeria is the place to be! Their pizza is an absolute masterpiece — loaded with fresh toppings, baked to perfection, and bursting with deliciousness. The crispy crust and perfect balance of cheese and sauce left me wanting more with every bite. I got the Cookout-style pizza & added red sauce & pineapples. It was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. But the experience doesn’t end there! I also tried the saucy, tender chicken tenders from “The Original Hotdog Factory,” conveniently located next door. Fun fact: both CHAR Pizzeria and The Original Hotdog Factory are owned by the same amazing people, and their commitment to quality is evident in every dish. These chicken tenders were perfectly fried, generously coated in mouthwatering sauce, and paired seamlessly with the pizza for a meal that was simply unforgettable. The friendly atmosphere and outstanding service made my visit even better. Whether you’re dining in, taking out, or grabbing delivery, this spot is a must-try for anyone craving delicious comfort food done right. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

(New owners) I recently visited this pizzeria and was blown away by how good everything was. The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You can really taste the quality in every bite.

OMG, so good that I'm ready to go back! Opted here, during a company event, which is party of the food hall at Halcyon. I was close to grabbing a couple of hot dogs next door, but pizza always reigns supreme. I order the classic with an Alfredo base, asking them to mix the pesto with it. My colleague's eyes rolled when she tasted a slice. The good dough - not too chewy & hand-tossed - paired with great toppings, made for a great visit. And cheese pull was Top Tier!! SO GOOD ...Would definitely recommend!

We LOVE Char Pizzeria!! It's located within the Market Hall (food court) at Halcyon in Alpharetta and has excellent supreme pizzas you can take out to enjoy on the green. The service is quick and friendly. It's a walk-up pizza counter that also offers a variety of canned beverages. We got the supreme pizza and a couple of sparkling waters. The casual vibe is so nice for chilling with the kids on a weekend.
