I wasn't overly impressed, but nothing was too bad. The best thing we had was the bacon wrapped dates by far! Those were definitely five 5-star. However, everything else was just kind of so-so. I had the burger, and it was overcooked and didn't feel like it was worth $16. I remember my other two colleagues not being impressed with their entrees either. When the waitress asked one of my colleagues how she wanted her beef cooked in the beef bourginon, I knew that it was not going to be a traditional bourginon. The other redeeming part of the meal was dessert. We tried the caramelized white chocolate mousse taco dessert, and a boozey pear galette. Both were very inventive, and tasty! I feel like this might have been an off night for them, so I'm only going to give them a 4-star versus a 3-star.

Great ambiance, drinks, fare & staff! I forgot to get a shot of our main courses. Salmon & Oxtail Steak were fabulous!

Outstanding meal, easily the best I've had in Denver. The grilled dates and the ice cream tacos were particularly amazing. Pictured the tomato salad.

Fantastic food, great service! Waitress and chef seemed to bend over backwards to make us happy. Great place for a romantic dinner. Food was very fresh and the ingredients really seemed to complement one another. Good wine selection and knowledgable staff. Highly recommend! Edit 1 year later: still amazing service and food. Went back for brunch and it was one of the best I've ever had. Try to get on one of their travelzoo specials for an incredible value. We had bottomless mimosas (which were great) and a three course brunch for $50 for two people!

Outstanding food! The chef truly knows what he's doing and uses the best ingredients available. The kitchen uses a large hard wood-burning grill that imparts levels of flavor that can come from nowhere else. The same effort and care goes into the happy hour specials. The decor and atmosphere are upscale, comfortable, and modern. I truly love the way they have combined classic Spanish, Middle East, and northern European styles to give the customers great choices. I could have chosen anything off the menu and been spectacularly pleased!

I went there for a business dinner with about 20 people and we had the back party room. The food was very good. I had the steak, the only problem was the steak was very black on the outside, cooked perfectly on the inside, I prefer not to have the outside so blackened. The dinner was a four course meal with limited selections and covered all the basics, Steak, chicken, salmon, or vegan. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.

I went to Charcoal on a Monday for the prefix meal with a group. The food was incredible and we shared the various meals so we got to try lots of things. By the time dessert came, I was getting full, but I tried this chocolate creme dessert with a gluten free brownie on the bottom and it was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. Someone else ordered a strawberry rhubarb dessert, and I really don't like rhubarb but it was so good too and someone else ordered a plate with several different sweets that was so yummy. I think I could go back and order desserts and be happy. But all of their food will tickle your taste buds. I will definitely recommend and will return.

Best octopus I've had since Santorini! Came in randomly, sat at the bar and ordered a beer. They had this amazing pink beer that I haven't seen anywhere else. Very tasty, although don't remember the name. Ordered the octopus. It was reasonably priced. It was so good! The people next to me asked how it was and were genuinely surprised to hear it was great. Not being on the ocean you never know how fresh it is, but it was fresh, juicy and perfectly prepared. Very pleased with my experience. Will certainly go back.
