They have a new worker. Not sure if she’s a manager or not but she answers the phones now and works at the register when you pick up orders. She’s great! The food is great but the service before her wasn’t so good. She speaks English and makes sure I’m never missing anything with my to go orders. 10/10 recommend now

The place is good, the food is ok, I liked my waitress. The tip was included in the bill, I didn't mind it since there have been a couple of places I have visited that include the tip on. I do think prices were a little high.

Pretty bad food, like seriously. We ordered shrimp and burgers. The shrimp is one of the worst we ever tasted, the burger was dry and flavored. Very expensive for the quality of the food. They include the tips in the final check.

The food was very tasty and the portion were massive. We loved the mashed potatoes and the service from our waitress. I’ll be back on my next visit at dolphin mall :)

I had the skirtsteak, taste is decent. My parents had the grilled chicken. It was dry as it has no seasoning and slightly overgood.

Came here for my first and last time. Food was okay. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We only saw our server a total of 2-3 times when she took it drink annd food order annd brought us our food and she didn’t even tell us her name! We waited 20 minutes hoping she would come by after we finished and it had to get to the point that I had to call out to her to do her job! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! Save your money and your time!

Great food but a little expensive. You can feel the quality in the food greatly cooked and served. ONE PROBLEM, if you eat outside you might sweat. It was hot and humid . All the other restaurants had fans in the outside area so there is no reason why this one didnt. Its Florida so if your gonna have an outside area you need a cooling system to keep guest satisfied

A lunch stop while running our yearly shopping tirade at Dolphin mall. We enjoyed our outdoor seating to gander at all the crowded action and shared an appetizer and platter. The fish and chips app was well done, nice and crispy. Our platter of churasco with bacon wrapped shrimp and fries hit the spot it's a great sharing dish. Washed it down with a Modelo Negro before we continued our step challenge back to the car.

The food is going to go right through you and you'll be wishing you have quick access to a bathroom. Not sure what it was but it's off my " eat again" places for sure.

Discovering this Nicaraguan restaurant in the heart of Dolphin Mall was a delightful surprise. It's genuinely the best, offering a slice of Nicaragua's rich culinary tradition amidst the bustling mall environment. Every visit feels like a special occasion, thanks to their authentic dishes that transport you straight to Nicaragua with every bite. Having your meal while listening to live music in the middle of the mall on a Sunday night is always a great idea. We had the baby churrasco, which was cooked to perfection, accompanied by a delightful chimichurri sauce, the gallo pinto, and tostones, all paired with a nice Presidente beer. It was excellent. This place is always a good idea, whether you're shopping or just in the area, providing an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Nicaragua

I came to this restaurant hoping to get great food I was so disappointed the food was horrible and extremely expensive I will never eat here again I don't recommend at all and the prices are extremely high for the very poor quality of food I ordered the baby churrosco with white rice and black beans the rice was hard as so was the beans the meat had no taste what so ever in all not worth the money we was charged $60 for horrible food

La peor comida. Las hamburguesas estaban quemadas y al comentarlo a la camarera no les importo y aun asi las cobraron en la cuenta. Encima de esto cargaron 45 dolares de propina . Nunca los visiten . Hay mejores opciones en el mall para desperdiciar el dinero aqui .

My wife, mom, and I were in town for the night and looked up restaurants to try. Charcoal was highly rated and nearby, so we tried it. It was really good. The service was good and we got to try some new foods and some familiar foods. Check it out!

Listen here... If you so happened to be in Dolphin mall and decided to try this place out... it will not disappoint.. will not! Food here is so delicious, fresh and just amazing! The server was attentive and very helpful with the menu, there really isn't anything bad here to say or to be displeased with. I've been staying in Doral for 15+ years now and I've always walked pass this place thinking it wasn't good. A shame why I would think that and I'm mad that I didn't know how good this place was until now... but now I do know so I'll most definitely will be coming back to try their other entrees in the menu. You'll be seeing me again soon and thank you for the delicious food & service!

The shrimp was luke warm but flavored nicely. The corn tortillas were stuck together, and when I tried pulling them apart, they ripped. The black beans were more black bean soup than black beans, it was like 95% liquid. The white rice was just ok. It came with some red salsa that was quite spicy but good none the less. I'm not sure I'd ever go back.

Great place to stop in for a meal while out shopping around. Most of the servers speak Spanish and Portuguese which helped us in with communication greatly.

Food was OK though expensive. The vinegar for the salad had clearly turned. Our water was never refilled even asking the server twice. Chicken was dry (lack of water didn't help here) and they gave me this small cup of chimichurri (like two bites) with the chicken. Of course server never brought more. I expected more from a restaurant in a latin area. Average doesn't cut it for the price or location.

This restaurant is about 3 1/2 ... pretty good for what it is. We've been coming here for more than 15 years and stop in for lunch most times we visit the Dolphin Mall. It's in an entrance with a bunch of other restaurants and can get lost in the shuffle. It hasn't changed much over the years --- and probably could use an update. But you don't come here for the ambiance, just solid Latin food -- especially their churasco. They have the same menu for lunch as for dinner with no lunch specials. They will push the "baby" churasco steak (6 oz)and that is what we've gotten most times as we've run in and out before a work assignment. This time, we figured out we could order a bigger steak and share it. Their medium size is 10 oz and their large or "presidente" was even bigger. So for less money than two baby steaks, we ordered the large churasco steak and split it. We also shared two sides that come with it -- we chose moros (beans & rice mixed) and maduros (fried sweet plantains). Now that I recall, I think one of the reasons we each ordered separately in the past, was cause I was craving their thin French fries or maybe some white rice instead. But you can always add an extra side for a small fee, The steak came out perfectly cooked to medium as ordered along with an extra plate. We split the order to taste. On the table they have condiment jars -- one with hot sauce, one with marinated onions and jalapeños, and the third with traditional green chimichurri sauce, my favorite. Chimichurri has oil, garlic, and parsley mixed together. Different countries have their own mix adding cilantro and/or oregano and sometimes vinegar as well as hot pepper flakes, etc. It's not usually spicy, but always adds a bit of flavor pizzazz to any meat. For dessert, we shared a caramel flan. Their flan is one of the better ones. None of that cheesecake texture here -- just creamy pudding over a burnt sugar syrup.

I went good like always good atmosphere awesome churrasco wow with all the chimichurri and awesome sauces. Good service out food was late due to a mix up but the server quickly got it to us. Very good rice wow and maduros this is so good I had the President steak medium and wife chicken steak amazing so moist perfectly cooked and flavors wow also the fried cheese is perfect! Good place still you want churrasco come here! It's the best!

My favorite thing about Charcoals is the chimichurri sauce. The skirtsteak is cooked well, but doesn't have a whole lot of flavor by itself. We also ordered the creamy garlic chicken pasta and it was mediocre - really creamy (which doesn't bother me) and pretty plain. It was better once I added some hot sauce though. The "garlic parmesan" bread it comes with (which I was super excited for) was nothing more than lightly buttered Cuban toast. When it came time to pay the bill, I presented the Yelp discount on my phone that popped up when I checked in. Our waitress (who was friendly, by the way) said she's never seen that before so had to bring my phone to the back to consult the manager. After maybe 10 minutes, she came back with the check minus the discount. I had to remind her that my phone was still being held in custody before getting it back. So yes, we got the discount but no, I didn't feel comfortable with my phone being taken to an undisclosed location for an extended period of time. It also took a good while before we got our change back.

This is a solid place for a meal, decently sized portion size and decent quality. With an entree, you receive two sides. Service could be better in terms of accuracy (getting orders right and on time) but everyone's pretty nice. Almost every time we've gone, there's been one person in our party who received their food after everyone finished their meal. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of TVs to watch sports. Overall, it's a good meal.

Great food, fast and fair price!

The food was delicious! The sweet plantains were my favorite. We did outdoor dining which was great to people watch and social distance. Our waitress was pleasant as well.

Food was good, but way overpriced. They don't provide the fresh sauces or bread anymore and the utensils and plastic plates are cheap quality.

Charcoals Latin Grill at Dolphin Mall in Miami has a really good menu that is full of delicious, flavorful, and well prepared food. I like to get many of the menu items all at once so I can taste them all. I like the selection outdoor seating space that they have available. The staff here is very welcoming and does everything that they can to provide an excellent dining experience.

After driving around we decided to eat here. It's right outside of dolphin mall and it was raining outside. We sat outside and was greeted by the waitress and provided water and later by another waitress to take our order. The food food looked yummy on the plate. I ordered a burger that wasn't fully cooked, but the fried cheese was really good. My husband had the chicken pasta, chicken wings and mozzarella cheese sticks.

The service is lacking. They will take your order and then forget you are there until it's time to collect the bill. After the waitress took our order she disappeared and only came to charge us. The Angus burger was good, but over priced for the size. Additionally, the fries were either over cooked or reheated. Either way the fries did not taste good. The churrasco ranchero was chewy and the rice was reheated because the beans in the rice were hard to chew.

There is something about gallo pinto and churrasco that always calls me name. I've been to Charcoals numerous times and the food is usually consistent. Today I had the baby churrasco, Gallo pinto (rice with beans) and tajadas (plantain chips) and of course with the usual side of chimichurri. The portions are large so I was able to take half home for a later meal. The service at this location isn't the best. Considering they have signs around the venue encouraging yelpers to leave reviews you would think they would try a little harder to get your vote. I waited approximately 15minutes just to get a menu from a server. I ordered right away and the food came out fairly fast. I had to wait another 15 minutes or so just to get someone's attention for the check. Needless to say, if you are in a hurry this is not the place for you.

Tried it out after our long shopping day at Dolphin mall and in the moment due to hunger the food tasted good initially, but after a few bites, realized it was not all that. We got a few different things including an appetizer. It included grilled shrimp, fish finger, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and French fries. Not at all latin and all the food was very greasy. Not at all my cup of tea. For food my sister and I split the lomo saltado which was quite decent. The beef in it was a little well done for my liking, but none the less tasted good with the sauce. I would have given this place 2 stars, but they give you very good hot sauce to eat the food with which enhanced the taste quite a lot, hence one more star. It's okay quality food for being in the mall, but don't think I will be coming back here.

We ordered this platter and on the menu it says "served 4" but my gf and I actually finish it. To be fair it's more like a 3 people amount of food. Would not recommend the chicken because it's really dry and hard. It's not a perfectly clean place since there are some flying insects or mosquitoes. Also, DO REMEMBER TO TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR CHECK! They will include a more than 20% gratitude fee automatically in your bill.

Really good chicken and steak. Great location at Dolphin Mall. Plenty of parking all over the mall. Service was good. They have an outside and indoor eating areas. Prices are fair.

A great casual place to get high quality churrasco steak and friendly service. It is convenient, being at the entrance of the Dolphin Mall. It is reasonably priced. The steak is seasoned well and is cooked well to my liking (medium). I wish there was more seating inside because it's hot sometimes, but the seating outside is spacious and ventilated with fans. I'm not from the area, but I always make sure to stop at Charcoals when I am in the Miami area. Food 5/5 Value 4.5/5 Service 5/5

Great price for a platter. We got the Havana platter but all the food was pretty oily. The tostones were stale and the yuca frita had a weird sweet taste. The chicarrón was good just again, OILY!!! The redeeming factor was the carrot juice we ordered. Tasted really fresh. Would come again for just that.

I tried the Gallo pinto (rice n beans ) horrible, the sauce for the fried plantains Omg sour no taste at all supposedly had garlic in it , the food not worthy taste bad would never go back to this place

After a long day of walking and shopping, we decided to stop in this place to eat. Priced well not expensive and the food is very good.

This place has taken a down turn. I've been coming to the various locations over the years and have really been impressed with their food. They used to be authentic with some very flavorful plates, but that has been replaced with tasteless food and mediocre service. This is unfortunate since there are so many nearby better options available to compete with them, which was probably why they were almost empty for lunch. To begin with they would offer a lunch option, which has gone away. So you're paying dinner prices for a lunch. That wouldn't be so bad if the servings and offerings were proportional, but they aren't. The servings can be limited and no outside offerings like a salad or bread. For the money and poor food I'd recommend trying something else. Look up Nicaraguan food and you can find MUCH better restaurants a short ride away.

The food was surprisingly good and came out so quick. Portion was a perfect size. If you eat inside get ready to smell like food when you get out so save yourself and just eat outside.

I came here on Thursday 01/03/19 for lunch at around 11:30. It was my first time and it was empty, so I figured there would be no issue. Environment: the place is a decent side with outside seating. Service: was quick at the beggining. We put our order of two beers and the fried pork chunks. We got our beers and so far it was great because it was quick, but after that the server disappeared and never came back. Note, when we came in the place was empty. I had to flag the waiter to even check up on us to get us water. 30-40 minutes later the food was still not there, mind you I don't mind waiting, but the place was empty when I placed my order and the waiter never came in between to see if we needed anything else. Now the place was full, I am looking around and people that got there way after I did were eating and I still did not have my food yet. I ask for the waiter what happened with my food and he said that it was coming. I asked for the manager and the manager shows up 10 more minutes later with the food and with a tucked off face. He gives me the excuse that they had an issue with the pork. I usually don't mind waiting a little longer if something happened in the kitchen as long as you inform me or tell me. The fact that the manager was pissed off when he served me my food almost and hour after I ordered was what made this experience even worse. Food: the pork was good, but the side of beans was mostly water or "sauce" if you even want to call it that. I mean if the service wasn't so bad this place would have definitely received more stars. Overall, not a place I would recommend. The service kind of ruined it on my end and the manager made it worse for me.

Meh. The food was good, I had a hamburger w/ shrimp and fries. The only thing that kind of made me sad was the fact that I could make a better hamburger at home, and I asked for water and the very fact it was warm (other than the ice that was freshly added to it) tells me that it was tap water. This place cost too much money. I spent $21 dollars on a hamburger, fries, and sangria. The toppings in the big bowl were literally used by everybody, and it looked dirty (I have pics). It would be better if they added individual personal tiny bowls with the condiments that I can safely eat from. It cost too much money for this.

Table for 12 was available immediately. Server was super nice and got me an extra side on the house. Food tasted amazing. Will be coming again

This restaurant was a total disappointment, we were a group of nine, and while always patient with large parties even when we were one of three tables being served, I felt like it was just a joke. First, our server was not necessarily polite, we would ask for simple things like water or napkins and he'd look at us like we were speaking a different language. The food slowly came out, one by one. The kicker is, my salad came out last... like an hour later last, I didn't quite understand that. And my daughters' burger was so gross, maybe it is defrosted, but it was definitely not cooked. And when the server was delivering the plates, he hit one of the members of our party in her head with the plate, never apologized. Such an awkward experience, but I guess when they're getting an automatic tip with a large party, who cares, right?

Ehh nothing to do with "Latin" food, food was tasteless.. not fresh. Canned beans.. the garlic sauce for the yuca tasted artificial. I got the Hawaiian tostones with fried cheese.. nothing Hawaiian about them they were plain ad came with a cabbage salad that tasted as if it was left in the fridge for a while. Fried cheese wasn't bad just tasted salty. I got the chicken fajitas you chose your two sides, though my tortillas came out already broken with no sauces or flavor to it.. the churasco was over cooked not much seasoning. I wouldn't recommend this place as it has nothing to do with real authentic food. It'll prob be a good place if you're drunk and hungry as in bar food.

Going to this place is like playing lottery, you don't know how the service is gonna be. Waiters most of the time are rude. Food is good but they need to coach more their employees to do a better costumer service.

Oh my goodness. The green sauce and churrascaria is delicious and oh so affordable. I got shrimp, pasta in cream sauce, churasscaria, garlic bread - all for 18.95. I could've also gotten a free fried cheese for writing a review, but my stomach is stuffed. My waiter, a cool guy with a short pony tail, was an awesome. He explained what was in the sauce and brought me my own bowl of it. I could take a bath in the stuff. Definitely the best value and best option for someone he spent all afternoon hangry and shopping.

Maybe this is the Lady Gaga in me but if I could wear meat, I'd strut the runway in a skirt steak. I recommend the skirt steak at Charcoals for lunch. During happy hour you can pair your delicious made to order steak with $3 domestic or imported beers, a glass of wine or even a glass of sangria. You can't beat a happy hour like that at Dolphin mall! The Skirt steak comes with two sides, I opted for sweet potatoes fries and a side salad. I loved the vinaigrette on the salad! Definitely recommend Charcoals for lunch or happy hour! Yelp tip: happy hour: 11:30am-6:00pm

went here for lunch with co worker, each order different plates, steak fries, steak, white rice and sweet plantain. The food was served fast and the meat was good and tasty but would like the rice and side were better. Average meal cost $13.00 and up.

PART 1: HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I am from out of town. This is the worst service I have received in over 10 years. Ignored us completely. Waited for 25 minutes. PART 2: Finally ordered at 30 minute mark. We ordered 2 Cokes. The Cokes came out in a can for $2.50 for EACH can of Coke. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE.

I went there almost everyday and they were very nice with their food. Out of the 5 stars I take off 3: 1 because of the service, they need a host to assign tables for each customer, every time I go I see a customer calling a waitress and they answer with " sorry that's not my zone" 2 because of the food, used to be a good meal and cheap and now they raised prices and lower the portion especially the "carne asada" and "baby churrasco" 3 this is the second time that I received a order that another customer did not pick up. Very cold. Ordered with the cashier and the order was ready in less that 5 minutes. There are two manager a guy who didn't help me with my order while I was waiting at the counter for 5 minutes to be attended he was doing a kind of paperwork and did not even look at me to say somebody will be with you shortly and a woman who's name is Paula, she is very kind and always helped me with my order. Even thought the restaurant service has declined I went there for the service that she offered to the customers.

Sat there for 10 minutes while the waiters talked not more than 15 feet from me. If you can't handle something as basic as waiting on a table to offer them food you might as well as well shut your doors. I was one of only four customers in the restaurant.

A must in Miami! Amazing food! Very friendly, feels like home. You truly get to experience the Latin culture in Miami. Came to the city for a week and came here twice. Oh and don't forget to try the cocktails!
