"Downtown stalwart Charleston Grill has been in the tasting menu game since 1997. Take a seat in the stylish, newly renovated dining room and enjoy live jazz while chef de cuisine Suzy Castelloe creates a six-course meal for you. The menu is seasonal and leans on flavors from the Lowcountry and around the globe. $150 plus options for wine pairings." - Erin Perkins
"White tablecloth restaurant Charleston Grill tends to sell out Thanksgiving service early, but perhaps snag a seat at the bar. This year, the team put together a three-course meal for the occasion." - Erin Perkins
"Get dressed up (or not) and go settle into a table at Charleston Grill for a few sweets and champagne. Sway in place to the live music in the newly remodeled lounge while you enjoy profiteroles with pistachio ice cream or carrot cake with miso butterscotch." - Erin Perkins
"An upscale restaurant that served as an early career launching point for sommelier Femi Oyeridan — it was the place where he sought to connect with the local music scene, met his mentor Rick Rubel, and began an intensive sommelier trajectory that saw him pass the first three Court of Master Sommeliers levels within two years." - AFAR
"James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Anthony, of Gramercy Tavern fame, will help christen the new dining room at venerable white tablecloth restaurant Charleston Grill, as it reopens this month. The event includes a reception and a five-course meal prepared by Anthony. The Open Hands Community Kitchen also serves as a bit of an unofficial kick-off to the unveiling of a new menu, new chef, and new renovations in the dining room at Charleston Grill. The restaurant’s longtime chef Michelle Weaver will now be the culinary ambassador for the Charleston Place, while sous chef Suzy Castelloe will step into the role as chef de cuisine. The food will remain “elevated Lowcountry cuisine,” with selections like pork shank ragout with cavatelli or snapper in a tomato broth. Charleston Grill is now open Wednesday through Sunday, from 5:30 pm. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for Anthony’s visit are $500 and available online." - Erin Perkins
