Great service - great atmosphere Allowed me to work from there for a good 2-3 hours The Philly cheese Quesadilla was out of the world The beer options were great too Only issue is one of my cards which worked every where else didn’t work but it was no biggie

Noah did a fantastic job working out table tonight. Nice guy with a good personality. Curtis, has done a fantastic job working the restaurant for the past year. I appreciate him getting to know his locals and regulars. Always a great conversation!

We visited on a Tuesday and had an awesome experience! The atmosphere was lively with plenty of TVs, and the food was delicious. we sat at the bar and even though it was really busy, Jailyn made sure we had everything we needed and made a fantastic strawberry margarita. We will be back for football!

Michael Scott

Google
Brittany was amazing! We came back and saw her Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before me left town. She is vibrant and is now my favorite bartender. Will be coming back to see her

Ordered delivery from here and got the Buffalo chicken quesadilla. So good. Heavy on the salty side but the flavor was phenomenal.

Google
Curtis and Brittany were amazing! We had a few issues with ordering our food online and they took care of us no questions asked! Sat down for a beer and got a great conversation and unbelievable food in return! Highly recommend if y'all are stopping in to watch a game or you just want some quality bar food. Easily my favorite pub in Charleston.

Google

Google
The bar is the spot to watch sports. Joe specifically has been a wonderful bartender. He is very attentive & personable! I definitely recommend Charleston Sports Pub, make sure to ask for Joe!

Yelp
Add it to the collection for "places to watch soccer with friends who don't watch soccer." Our go to place for any sports game. We love the abundance of TVs, solid bar food & spacious seating. We've been multiple times and never had any issues. Just a neighborhood staple!

Yelp
We've visited this place many times. Waited for the best experience to write a review. To their defense, we always go on sunday for football so as you can imagine, it's typically crowded. The good: many screens to watch your favorite sports team. The staff is very willing to find the game you're looking. The atmosphere was sports minded..keep that in mind if you bring your 7 year old kid ("F" bombs drop like crazy) The menu has many great options. Drink selection is very good, beer selection is good. The bad: As I said above, they were busy. Service was hit or miss but I get it. They did the best they could for the staff they had. We had the giant pretzels and jalapeño poppers to start. Pretzels came out undercooked we sent them back and they came back barely warm again but at least sort of cooked. Poppers were barely warm but we just ate them. For dinner I had the honey Sriracha boneless wings. They took almost an hour to come out and were luke warm. Flavor was very good and chicken was juicy. Kitchen must have been slammed with limited help. Lesson learned, eat home and go for beers during the game.

Yelp
Left the OBrien Irish pub unhappy. Came here to CSP and at first didn't seem like I was going to be any happier. Then Collin asked for our drink order. Guinness was my pick. The tap was upstairs and he was more than willing to go up and down the stairs! Great bartender and the support staff were good as well. No food ordered but will be back! Bad luck to the OBrien Irish pub. You could learn something from CSP.

Yelp
Now that I have been here a couple of times to try drinks and food, I believe I can adequately write a review. Seems to be pretty well maintained and clean, from what I can tell. Tons of TVs, obviously lots of sports, but they also play a variety of music if sports aren't necessarily your jam. There's an upstairs, downstairs, and a patio upstairs too, so you have a few options for seating. Staff - super friendly and attentive. Ben (bartender) was nice, personable, and made sure that I was taken care of if my drink started to get low. Even the manager, Curtis, was helpful & you can tell that the staff seem to get along as a team. Food- had the Sriracha style chicken nachos - plenty of food, had some nice heat - it was tasty. Beer - tried a few. Favorite seems to be the Devils Backbone so far. But they have plenty of variety to choose from. I think they have different events like trivia & such too, but haven't been there for those. Anyway....I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area :)

Yelp
Charleston Sports Pub is a cool sports bar to watch sports, have a drink and eat food or a snack. The servers were all friendly and attentive They have two levels and both indoor and outdoor seating with televisions everywhere. If the ballgame you want to see is not on one of the televisions, they will change one to your game if you ask. The food and appetizer menu is pretty broad, and the food was good. They also have a wide selection of beers on tap, a ton of beers in cans and bottles, and a good choice of mixed drinks. We will definitely be back. 8/10 rating for me.

Chris S.

Yelp
Overall had a great time. Burger was really good and cooked to perfection. We were promised a table by a server who was changing shifts. She waited until the people left to change it over to the six of us. It's a nice place, in an easy location and it's fun. Looking forward to returning.

Jan C.

Yelp
Just want you to know the Charleston Sports James Island has gone through a ridiculous inspection simply because their fire system went off. Food is great , service is great! Ignore the rating and know all is great! I promise this is short lived and will be corrected and should have NOT been given. I am just a regular customer and we love this place.

Yelp
Came here for some Saturday football, upstairs deck is awesome. Colin took care of us and what a homie! Super hospitable and really on top of it. Would highly recommend.

Emma P.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, service was amazing, but the vibes were off the charts, spectacular!!! Our server was also the bartender taking care of the whole top floor by herself! It was packed for the USA vs Panama game. Other than that I believe on Thursdays they do bingo, as a table of two we won twice and ended up getting $35 off our bill. My boyfriend got a pitcher of bud light, I had 2 cocktails, an appetizer of cheesy chicken bacon fries with a honey mustard sauce (Bird Dog Fries), a plate of 20 wings and a side of Mac and cheese. After our bingo winnings the bill came down to about $55. Definitely an amazing night, completely worth our time and money. We walked from our Airbnb. Our server/ bartender got a $20 tip for sure. We had a wonderful time and ran home shwasty in the rain.

Yelp
Charleston Sports Pub is one of my favorite places to go eat always great service! This trip I had the pleasure of getting a wonderful server named Brittany. She always knew the right time to check on us and her personality was amazing. You could tell she really new her stuff and loved her job. Definitely one to go back and see. The food of course was good as always. She suggested a dessert haven't had any by them and she chose a great option. You won't be disappointed when going.

Yelp
We love Sports Pub on JI and decided to grab dinner. Karaoke was going on upstairs on this Thursday night and was a bit off putting. We decided to try the downstairs bar and William, our bartender, saved the night. He was personable, efficient, and friendly. The staff has continued to be the reason we come back time after time. Food is usually great too!

Yelp
If you want to watch the games this is the place! So many TVs, the bar tenders are great, prices are decent. The fries are really good but eh to the combo of fried chicken, honey mustard, bacon and cheese. Sounds good but it's just a pile of drunk food and not enough chicken. Y'all know what I mean. However the wings everyone was getting and are known for. All the plates coming from the kitchen looked so good! Ready to try all of them! Lots of college football games to watch and plenty of other menu items to try!

Yelp
First time actually eating food at this establishment. The bartender was never nice while I asked her questions on which burger she recommended. So I got the classic burger cheddar cheese bacon and bacon jam come with LTO side fries. It was good it's a basic burger. I really liked it. I'll definitely be back again to try another burger!

Autumn J.

Yelp
We came in pretty late at night because not many other spots were open, we were hesitant at first because only 1 other person was in there, but I'm so glad we came in!! Ben was so kind and fun, and our food was incredible, especially given the fact that it was so late in the night. I would definitely come here again & recommend this spot to anyone!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Very underrated menu here. We went in for beers and apps and were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and presentation. Nice list of beer offerings from local taps to cans from all over. The pretzel was awesome and the tachos were also really good. Wings had good flavor to them as well. Friendly staff, good space... will return.

Yelp
My friends came here the night before and said it was great so I knew I had to try it. Great food, service, and deals!

Patrick M.

Yelp
Not good enough to have to deal with the mess that is trying to park in the lot. Or the empty field that's now somehow a pay to park. I'll go across the street to Maybank Public House until they fix the parking issues

Lane B.

Yelp
bad service waited by the host stand for 10 minutes before i even saw an employee. i understand noon on a wednesday is probably slow but should probably at least be CHECKING for customers
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
Chicken tenders, chicken wings, burgers all good. Anything outside of that don't waste your time or money. Drinks and beers are good with a great selection. Service can really be hit or miss.

Yelp
We walked in and the place was almost empty. The gal up front said to sit anywhere we wanted so we sat at a table. It took 15 minutes for her to come talk to us even tho the place was empty. We ordered waters and I got a mimosa and my friend got a Hole in One. she brought back the water minutes later and took our orders. after 45 minutes I had to ask the waitress about our drinks. She had forgotten them. She brought the mimosa immediately but took another 10 minutes for the other drink and brought the wrong drink, bringing a Moscow mule instead of the hole in one. The food came out almost an hour after we ordered it and there was a hair cooked into the bird dog fries. We asked for the fries to be taken off the check. The southerner burger was fine, nothing special to write home about but the BLT salad was very bad. It was lettuce with burnt bacon and a tiny amount of feta. To be fair I did ask for it without grape tomatoes but I did expect more When we asked for the check it took her 10 minutes to bring it. Definitely will not be coming back

Yelp
I'm not a sports gal, but I'm a sucker for a laid back bar/restaurant, and this place never disappoints. This is a great spot to go to watch the game (I assume.) because they have TV's everywhere. They have decent prices on beer pitchers, lots of seating and parking, a lot of menu options for food, and the staff is always friendly. The James Island location has indoor and outdoor seating along Maybank Highway, and two stories of seating. The second floor is very open and bright and would be a great spot to hang when the weather is cooler. This is a solid place to choose if you just want to relax and hang out. It has a neighborhood feel to it. The food isn't gourmet, but is good. I've been here several times and not had a bad experience yet.

Yelp
Wings were the best I have had in a while. Cooked to perfection. The bartender William was super great Customer Service which can be a challenge sometimes. He was super attentive.

Yelp
Good sports bar on Maybank. I loved my chicken Alfredo! The cheesy fries was tasty. I loved my red wine. The service was good.

Yelp
We came to Charleston Sports Pun looking for a place to watch football on a Sunday. There are a lot of TVs on the main floor, but not many tables, so we ended up heading to the upstairs section where you can barely watch any games. First Lesson of the day: Get there early... I ordered from the brunch menu, and got an egg and ham biscuit sandwich with tater tots. It wasn't great to be honest, Second lesson of the day: do not order brunch from a bar and stick to bar food The service was not great either.. the server had to run downstairs to get things and that made things slower in general, so not her fault, I feel like the two floor configuration just doesn't work for the concept
google avatar

Ted K.

Yelp
The Charleston Sports Pub just opened recently in James Island and I checked it out this past Sunday for the NFL games. There are a lot of TVs, the food and drinks are reasonably priced, and service was pretty quick. You should get there early to get a seat in the middle bar area to get the best view of all the games, otherwise you may end up in the upstairs where there are less TVs. They have all of the regular bar food you'd expect like nachos, sandwiches, burgers, wings, etc. I got the fish and chips and even though "chips" are typically fries in this dish, these came with actual chips, but they were pretty good anyways. I liked the food, it was good enough for bar food. I will definitely come again for sports games in the future and can't wait to try the nachos next.

Yelp
We had lunch yesterday at this location. The service was great. We had a really nice waitress. They had just opened when we came in. You'll get zero phone service or internet inside. The place was clean and really nice looking. I ordered a burger, it was juicy, flavorful and fresh. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich. He said it was ok, he felt like the chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. From looking at it I think it just got a little burnt. It looked well made. We will definitely give the fried chicken sandwich another chance.

Yelp
This is my 2nd time going to James Island Charleston Sports Pub. Tonight, we had to go food. I had the chicken philly and tater tots. The chicken philly was good but not the best I have ever had. The tater tots were freshly cooked. My dad loved his burger and fries. This is a good place to go for sports and bar food. I hope to go see a game again soon!

Yelp
Menu had lots of options that sounded good (but not so many that you're overwhelmed). Greeted immediately upon entering restaurant, and seated quickly too. Our waiter was fantastic. Loved that my water was always refilled quickly. I worried that my BRF scared him to think I wasn't happy with the food but I was!

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing and service can't be beat! Stop in while you are in the area and ask for Sara at the bar! She was attentive and friendly. We will absolutely be back to visit again when we are back!

Sara N.

Yelp
Sara at the bar was amazing! She made our visit to Charleston even better! We will be back!

Yelp
Sarah at the bar was great. Made my day having a late lunch, with a beer and some good conversation.
google avatar

Dina W.

Yelp
This location is nice. There's an upstairs area which is good because the downstairs can get crowded quickly. There are few arcade games upstairs. I ordered shrimp tacos and my friend ordered a salad. The food was average--the same as the other locations. The drinks are reasonably priced. Our waitress was nice. They have a dog menu offered on the patio. I would return for the drinks not the food. Parking is horrific.
google avatar

Olivia R.

Yelp
If you're looking to have some reasonably priced drinks and apps this is definitely a good place for you! Although they were out of a lot of beers on draft (sad), my waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere made up for it. It happens and it's the holidays, so I'm feeling chipper (hence the 4 stars). The wings were cooked well, although I would've liked a little more love in the sauce since it was so good! Again, the atmosphere and service is really good, they have a lot of TV's for games and I would come back here again :)

Alison C.

Yelp
I highly recommend the new James Island restaurant. The food was great as well as our service. Ask for Sara, she was amazing! Alison

Yelp
They are moving to Maybank Hwy beside the Pour House. The sign just went up last week. It's right on the corner.

Yelp
The sports pub is my jam! For brunch, I'd rock a 5 star review. Dinner is more like a 3 star experience, so I'm averaging out here. The awesome- I love brunch. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I love mimosas (bottomless from 11am-1pm for $10) and treaty breakfast items. You can never go wrong with the loaded breakfast tots. This massive plate of food is a pile of crispy tots topped with egg, cheese, sausage gravy, and bacon. They are awesome and we always take half home (they reheat in the oven perfectly). I'm partial to the classic chicken and waffle. The chicken is panko crusted and fried, and always comes out crispy and delicious. Honorable mention to the breakfast tacos and the scramble. Yum. The meh- lunch/dinner is just fine, but it doesn't blow my mind. I recently tried the stuffed jalapeños, which would have been killer had the jalapeño been cooked through. I've tried the chicken and wings. While they crush the chicken for brunch, i just didn't feel the magic for dinner. Don't get me wrong- it's pretty good bar food, just nothing mind blowing. The bonuses- awesome place to watch a game. Wall of tvs and tv galore. Random games throughout to play. Huge deck outside to sit on and a horseshoe/bocce court. Tons of beer options. The coolest bartenders in town!

Yelp
Went to John's island today to but a boat we found on line. Drove down to charlotte looked over the boat and decided to grab some lunch and a beer with the owner of the boat. We stopped here and my friend and I had two beers and also lunch. The owner of the boat declined food. Witch I know why now. The wait staff was to busy doing other busy work set out by management then to actually do her job and wait on customers. Service was extremely slow. We finally were able to order our food. Once it arrived the bacon on my burger was cold. The patty was cooked beyond well done when I asked for med rare. The manager happened to stop and ask how the meal was and I told her my issues. She saw the uneaten burger on the plate apologized and walked off. Same as the waitress. When the waitress returned she said they took 10% off the bill and apologized again. Well I have to say $5.80 off for a uneaten meal that was $13. What a joke. Worst $60 meal I ever had.

Yelp
Went for first time last week w my little kid. Bright, clean-looking, framed jerseys and tons of football helmets on the walls. Lots of TVs, even 2 outside. Burger was cooked correctly to order (nice) but they don't have American cheese? They do offer steamed broccoli side (+) but no hamburger option for kids (-), you have to buy the $14 adult size. Also hadn't transitioned to any porters, stouts, or dark winter beers- 2 weeks before Christmas. 3 pinball machines were a plus. Good service.

Jack H.

Yelp
This place is horrible. Do not waste your time. It took close to an hour for our server to even take our order, while never checking on us for refills or anything. The service was downright terrible.

Ian L.

Yelp
Shockingly good. I drive by here on my way home from tee ball every week, but I'd never tried it. My wife came to watch our last game and by the time we left the field it was too late to make dinner at home, so we stopped in. Everything was fantastic. I got two tacos. One was Nashville hot chicken with ranch and mac 'n cheese. It sounds like ridiculous midwestern state fair food but it was surprisingly balanced. The other was southern pulled pork with bacon, and it might be some of the best, smokiest pulled pork I've had since I moved here. Even the tortilla chips had a unique seasoning on them. The salsa verde served with them was the only "meh" part of the meal. Wife got the smash burger, which was phenomenal--well seasoned, cheesy and there was good crust on both patties from edge to edge. The pickles tasted homemade. The burger sauce was outrageous, which is saying something in a town where every bar and restaurant sells a smash burger with special sauce. It was especially nice that they included an extra ramekin of it for dipping fries. We just had a couple of macro brews, but the beer selection seemed impressive. The TV situation reinforces the sports bar element, and I could definitely see this being a good place to go during the NFL season. I can't make it my regular watering hole since I have to drive there, but I'll make a point to stop in for a bite whenever I'm on James Island.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere, def gets packed during college football Saturdays so plan accordingly. Staff is well aware of what games are on and cater to the different fanbases that are all there.

Yelp
We went for bingo night, which was super fun. It's free & the prizes are pretty great. The food was very average. I had a burger and a side salad, with a glass of wine. The burger didn't have much flavor, & the raspberry vinaigrette tasted like cough syrup. Our waitress was extremely slow, & they weren't busy. I'm in food & bev & wait tables. I get it. But there was no excuse for the slowness of tonight. She checked on us multiple times after we had finished eating, but never wile we were eating. We never got sauces we asked for, and it took forever for us to get silverware, water, and napkins. I got my bill before I got my last glass of wine I ordered. I don't blame the waitress, because the whole place seemed to be moving slow. Atmosphere was loud & bingo was fast. But I wouldn't expect anything else, after-all, we are in a bar. I'll be back for bingo, but probably won't order anything but a glass of wine. Was fun but not great food or service.

Yelp
Not gonna lie. Wasn't expecting a lot but this was really good! Sat outside on a bright sunny day. My husband watched some ball and we shared beers and purty good apps. Will they all induce coronary artery disease? They certainly will. But live a little and eat some fried avocado. I think it's good fat or something.
google avatar

Yelp
SALTY. So. SO. SOOOO. SALTY. And I like salt, so it's saying a lot when something tastes over-the-top salty to me. We ordered two entrees and both dishes were like this, so I know it wasn't just a one off. I wasn't able to finish mine for that fact. If you're seeking pub food, go to Maybank Public House. I realize they don't have a gazillion tvs but their food is consistently good and fresh. I would not return to CSP, and would not recommend. Was seeking a convenient locale for World Cup, but this is not it, at least not for bar food. They might be just fine for ordering drinks, though.
google avatar

Sean K.

Yelp
Great setup to watch a game. Unfortunately the food is below average. Literally look at the website to see how unaware they are of the food quality.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Came for wing night and will definitely be back for wing night! This is a great new addition to James Island and I was excited for it to open when I found out they were opening a new location! Greeted right away by the hostess and was seated upstairs. Definitely better viewing of all TVs downstairs but the upstairs was still nice. Kind of hot so would recommend some type of airflow solution. Wing night is 20 wings for 13.99! You can choose grilled, fried, or boneless. You can only get one kind but you get to choose 4 sauces. Wings came out quick and hot and I love how they were served so I knew which sauce was which. I look forward to trying their other specials like burger night!

Yelp
Burgers are frozen Pattie's not hand Pattie. Took almost 45 minutes to get lunch. Wait staff is nice
