I've ordered a couple times, the food tastes amazing its addictive in my honest opinion. The rice specifically didn't taste burnt at all. I will most definitely be buying again soon. My usual order was the chicken fried rice, egg roll, chicken wings, chicken fingers and the crab ragoon. Highly recommend it!!

My girlfriend and her sister got it for dinner and ordered a plate for me. Let me say I’m a Chinese food snob. I ate my plate for the next 3 nights in row. Food was exceptional! Great portion size for the value! Highly recommend.

Google
Ordered through GrubHub. Food was good except when I ordered 8 piece fried wontons, I expected wontons with filling. I just got a container full of wontons wrappers that were fried.

The place is not the most clean looking place I almost didn’t go inside at first. Let me tell you the food was amazing I forgot to take pictures of the food but was amazing crab Rangoon was great wow and the pupu plate for 2 was amazing no rice you have to order rice on the side.

Google
Great value, quick service. Idk how they move so much food at such a rate. We travel 4 cities away , but so worth the drive everytime .

Google
Been ordering here for 10+ years, but this year the food quality has gone downhill significantly, it's still good but very bland tastes now.

Yelp
The food is always fresh and hot. The meats are tender and the rice is flavorful. The amount of food is just right. We never have leftovers. The service is respectful and they are kind and personable.

Yelp
I am from North Carolina. In Brockton, MA for business. Drove by this place twice on the way to a business trip work experience. Decided to stop because the outside looked authentic. Ordered General Tso Chicken, extra spicy. I got the meal which adds a side. I got chicken wings (3 full wings). And I asked for spicy mustard which is house made. The spicy mustard is almost straight wasabi so it is legit, hot, and tasty. In the bag was some orange tasting sweet sauce that was just as good. Best chop suey ever. Had the option for white or fried rice. I got white. Try this place. Lady who took my order was very attentive. Took less than 10 minutes to prepare. BTW, chicken wings are not breaded. I actually liked them better this way.

Yelp
NO KIDDING!!!! Great value, quick service. Idk how they move so much food at such a rate. Definitely come back

Yelp
Ever since moving into Brockton this has been my go to Cantonese food. Quick service and delicious food. You're not breaking the bank - food is priced at a fair price.

Yelp
Lunch special was absolutely fulfilling. Inside is quiet and cool but could use a bit more lighting.

Yelp
Surprisingly I like the food here. I've order a few times. Their chicken wings and orange chicken don't disappoint.

Yelp
I am SUPER picky when it comes to Chinese food. Some places have greasy chicken fingers and dry rice etc or the way they season food is terrible. I must say I have two Chinese restaurants I'm faithful to which one delivers and the other is more a sit down restaurant since they don't deliver. They might do takeout, but usually looking for takeout I go for the delivery since don't want go out. I've tried few other local Chinese restaurants and wasn't a fan. Charlie Chan's seasons their rice and everything just right amount, rice is NEVER dry even if you order at midnight. Chicken fingers area overly greasy or taste like they have been cooked in old oil, and their crab Rangoon are my favorite around. They stuff them with cream cheese unlike others that barley have any in middle and they are more fried dough that's flaky than anything. Usually I split a plate with my husband and buy extra sides of items if wanted, but once and awhile we do takeout whole family which is 8-10 total and four being kids. So we get usually 2 large rice, 2 large chicken fingers, large crab Rangoon, large beef and broccoli, small chicken wing and small pork strips which usually costs roughly $60-$75 but feeds us all and usually have left overs for later or the next day. Other restaurants I've priced out to order same from and they wanted total almost $80-$90 for it. I know some can be funny when it comes Chinese too because of "stories". Charlie Chan's though I've gotten from for YEARS and never gotten sick or had food that tasted funny. Highly recommend try Charlie Chan's, especially if you aren't fond of other places maybe tried in the area.

Yelp
No good!! 2 hours late for delivery!!! Food is ok though! I had a get together and was depending on food and it never showed

Yelp
Great food today's modern Chinese style and always open till 11 p.m and very friendly staff

Yelp
NO WAY! This was the worst food I have ever eaten. I ordered a plate with pork fried rice, chix finger, chix wings, boneless ribs, and pepper steak. The meat all tasted the same. But the worst was the pepper steak. It was peppers and meat in a puddle of water.Oyster sauce is supposed to be black and thick. NOT! THen all a sudden my lips started tingling. It was a night mare. I have never had an incident like that in my entire life. So to any one who loves chinese, eat at your own risk.dl

Yelp
If you take care about your clothes' fresh, inside smells badly. First time everything was delicious! But next time our expectations did not realize. All in the order was fried with too much non-fresh oil. An owner is not so friendly - I asked him for a bag with hangers, he refused.

Yelp
Every time I order it is never right. The food is alright. Not worth the aggravation . Never again. They should have someone who takes orders at least understand English. They understand money.

Yelp
No. Just no. I ordered a combo plate with Lo Mein and General Gau's Chicken. The noodles were overcooked, there was no flavor and the General Gau's was like eating cardboard. It was by far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It was that bad. Mind you it was overpriced. So, let me reiterate: No. Just no.

Yelp
AWFUL!!! I WILL NEVER order from here again!!! It took an hour and a half to get our food because the delivery driver couldn't find the house. We called twice to check on our order and both times we were told it would be there shortly. A half hour later the driver called because he could not find the house. We tried helping him over the phone but could not communicate with him because he spoke very little English. The food finally arrived cold and a man from the establishment called my phone to blame us that we gave the wrong address when I have an email confirming the correct address. There was no offer to take something off the cost for our extraordinarily long wait. This place has TERRIBLE customer service.

Yelp
This place is nestled in the hood and you have to step over a bearded homeless guy who makes the front lobby smell like piss (true story). The place is absolutely filthy even for Chinese restaurant standards. The food sux too. I got in once when I worked nearby and spent $20 but after going in to pick it up I couldn't eat it. I was too scared of what I would catch for stomach viruses. I don't mean to sound cruel but it's tuff to enjoy your eating experience when a homeless person is not only allowed to hangout but from what I hear is welcomed. I would strongly suggest you drive the extra mile to Maui if you want Chinese. It's not the best food but atleast the place is clean and you don't need to worry about tripping over sleeping bums.

Yelp
Figured id try charlies as my goto place has been sucking. What a mistake I knew I was f d when Charlie took my fried rice out of a big pot on the counter. Then Charlie throws some shrimp on it and puts it in a box. Well when I went to eat it 5 mins later it was probably room temperature. Which makes me nervous as we are all aware that alot of undocumented people work at these places. Got wings and crab ragoon to nothing to write home about. Crab tasted sour wings way over cooked. You could bring them to hell and the devil would say there way over cooked.

Joe O.

Yelp
I normally enjoy writing reviews because I've never written a negative review. As typical, I placed a phone order today and upon picking up the food, I had let the owner (I think) that I purchased soup last week that was old and burnt. I did not ask for a refund, though wanted them to know. Their food is always good and the service is also. After letting the owner know about the issue, she completely ignored me and did not seem to care about my problem. Unbelievably Rude. Since she didn't seem to care, I thought her customers might.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite places to get takeout from. The staff is super nice and always remembers me. I could die for the crab ragoons!!

Yelp
Best of the worst Chinese in Brockton. I ordered general guaos chicken. I got tangerine or orange chicken. And it's soggy. Yes it's still ok but it's not what I wanted at all.

Alex S.

Yelp
I ordered chicken fingers to go. The cook dropped one on the floor, though I wasn't watching picked it up and thru it it the fryer and put in my order. I left my money and walked out.

Wise C.

Yelp
I grew up on the Southside of Brockton and I loved this place back then, Now that I live over 500 miles away I love it even more. Granted this is a whole in the wall, the building is old and the decor is old and worn. But the muthaf....ing chicken wings are the bomb. The lobster sauce is good and the boneless ribs are amazing. This is not a place where you bring your date for a nice evening, however if you go the late night munchies and you want something good. Try it out.

Richard D.

Yelp
This place is a joke. I ate there tonight (Monday, August 1st, 2011) and picked up $56.54 worth of food. Almost all of it tasted old (I got a pu-pu platter for two, General Tsao's chicken, Broccoli and Chicken, and White rice, and Vegetable Lo-Mein. This was for a birthday party so we HAD to eat some of it, but I took the General Tsao's chicken -- which tasted a day old and was chewey - back to get a refund and the manager refused. He said they "don't serve old food" but I had 4 guest that couldn't eat it. The manager said he could give me a credit or cook me a new order. Yeah, thanks for nothing. If you are doing to eat here, at least don't use take out or your screwed. I recommend a drive to Stoughton to China Chef or Cheng Du. At least they care about their customers.

Yelp
Horrible service (with the exception of the delivery staff)! I call to place a small order for a combination plate and once I tell him my address for the delivery, he immediately has an attitude and has the nerve to say that I should have called earlier! Are you kidding me?! I told him to just cancel my order. I've had guests complain in the past that whoever answers the phone here and takes their order was extremely rude. The food is just ok, it's not the best. I am tossing out all the menus we have at my hotel for them. I will no longer reccommend them to any of my guests. Absolutely outrageous. That man needs to get some customer service skills. I never have this problem at Bamboo Cafe around the corner. They're food is a lot better and service is great but only downside is they are only open until 11. This is definitely a poor choice for late night chinese food. You would be wiser to go to Taco Bell or Burger King. I am NEVER ordering from here again.

Yelp
Many years ago, I used to stop at Charlie Chan's after a late night out. Over the last couple of years, Charlie Chan's has become our go to Chinese takeout. We usually get get appetizers and they have never failed to provide great food.
