Charlie's Café at Rosemary

The donuts were good, but not sure a dozen donuts and 4 medium coffees were worth $80. The service was ok definitely nothing special. However, we noticed that most everywhere we went there service was mediocre. There were a few places we went and the service was amazing and friendly. We realized those individuals were not from the Panama area, but moved to the area, this made sense. Residents don’t seem to be as friendly.

DELICIOUS!!! Came for lunch and I'm so glad we did! I got the Rosemary Sandwich and my husband got the breakfast wrap. We also got a coffee and Italian soda. Everything was fantastic and we will definitely be back!

Great company horrible service. She got 3 things wrong in our order. I wait 15 minutes for the bathroom one of the employees was in there and just smirked when she came out.

We went for donuts. One of the best sprinkled donuts ever! Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. No labels on the donuts to let you know what is available, and the guy helping me had a hard time explaining what was available. At one point I asked if they had any of certain type of donut and he said no, but then the other staff member corrected him. He seemed disinterested and unfriendly.

Our group went here for ice cream on a summer weekend after seeing the huge line at the place across the street. Everyone was happy with their ice cream. I was excited to be able to grab a can of kombucha from their fridge.

Watery latte for me, a weird tasting specialty drink for my husband. We both had the breakfast tacos. All the ingredients looked like they would be delicious but there was zero flavor in them. Now we are -$40. On the other hand the decoration is absolutely incredible inside and outside. I would like toread the reviews and see what other people are getting and enjoying. Because the location is stunning! So sad the food had zero flavor and the coffee was gross.

Awful… the staff where rude. I ordered a boba with light ice and the staff laughed about my order in front of me. The cashiers where on there phone while i was trying to order and would not make eye contact with me. And they never said thanks. They said that they where out of coconut milk but then said they would run to the back and get it. The food was meh. I am not happy with my experience at all. Way to over priced for something you will not be happy with. Please do not waste your money at Charlie's donuts.

Super rude staff here. Should have looked at reviews and not wasted my time waiting for food and coffee. I came up to the register and wanted to order the lox bagels they had on their pictures and menu but when I asked the lady at the register she blatantly looked at me and was like NO. Like post that to your updates so others know and don’t waste their time waiting.

The food and service were all amazing. Everything tasted fresh. Prices are reasonable compared to everything else in this shopping center.

The woman with orange hair taking my order was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes when I asked a question about size options and she dismissed me right after I ordered. I could even see her talking about me after I left and she kept staring me down. If you are going to charge $8 for a watered down ice chai latte at least have decent customer service. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a coffee shop on 30a. There are FAR better coffee shops in Rosemary and I highly recommend you do NOT come here. 0/10 recommend, I will not be returning. I have seen similar reviews and I'm sure we are all interacting with the same woman who is taking orders up front.

I had a disappointing experience here. I went to treat myself to donuts, which they are apparently known for. The donuts were dry and not very fluffy. Not at all worth the calories. The staff wasn't especially helpful either, and it was rather loud inside (mostly because a lot of families were there with kids being noisy).

Customer service is horrible we ended up leaving because we'd rather give our business to a more genuine small business

Place has gone downhill. Dirty, cluttered, not good quality food, Unbelievably, employees locked the door at 830pm and had to unlock to let customers out so that no other customers would come in, 30 min before closing. Pathetic. Kilwins had a line out the door and this place was empty. Go figure.

Don't come here unless you want your entire food to fall all over you and break because it's poorly made. Just wasted $13 on a burrito that tortilla broke the second i picked it up and im left with the entire thing on my lap, and you can't even try to put it back together due to the soggy torn apart shell. The staff is extremely unfriendly as well.

We ordered the Cobb salad to go. Upon arriving back at the house discovered that it had no dressing, no cheese, no heirloom tomatoes, and no scallions on it, and the "bacon" is some kind of paper thin imitation meat that bears no resemblance to the photo in the online menu. Inedible. Called to complain and they asked me to bring the salad back for a refund. Not how I choose to spend my vacation. They know what they are putting in the salad. We won't be back.

I see the reviews. I see the hating. Ignore. These donuts were to die for. After a long day at the beach it was just what they needed. They even gave us free leftover donuts, and were so kind. In a really nice area and pleasant vibes all around.

Great little lunch spot in the Rosemary square. I had the chicken salad sandwich and was very impressed. You can sit inside or outside in the patio.

This cute and quaint little doughnut and breakfast spot is awesome! The coffee is good and so are the doughnuts but they have a great offering of healthy breakfast options like avocado toast and I ended up having the lox bagel and the bagel was perfect!

The service is fantastic. The chicken salad sandwich is amazing. The donuts are delicious! Best of all the iced coffee puts all others to shame!!!!!

Had a great experience here with our big group! Staff was super polite (we have 10 people in our group lol sorry) and accommodating. Food was ready super fast- everyone got sandwiches and coffee! Would definitely recommend for a quick bite.

This place was outstanding. We went twice during our short stay in Rosemary Beach. It is a sister property to Five Daughters Bakery from Nashville that has been expanding. You could tell the place was brand new and the staff still figuring stuff out, but they were extremely friendly and more than willing to help with everything. We got the donuts both days - first minis and then full size. They are amazing, super unique and almost like cronuts. We're not big donut fans and we absolutely loved them. The menu is great, mostly brunch fare with a fresh California vibe. We got avocado toast, breakfast tacos and the power bowl over our two visits. Everything was generous, fresh and delicious. The drip coffee was good too. Prices were reasonable and parking might be a challenge if you aren't staying locally. The atmosphere was great - the decor was trendy and modern and the place could support more people than were ever there. I think it's not super well known yet but will likely become very popular for breakfast and brunch this summer.

Don't get the Boba.... another tourist trap. Amazing area, terrible product. Dang shame!

Coffee only review! Despite a short line in October, took a surprisingly long amount of time to make two espresso drinks. Decent but prefer the Amavida coffee across the square. The shop itself is very cute and clean. The small selection of donuts looked and smelled tasty.

Warm and friendly service from the moment you walk in. Good value (compared to other options in the area). Had the apple bear claw and was pretty tasty, not the best but I sure ate it! Cold brew was yummy. Will come back again next time I'm in town

A group of us went to Charlie's for breakfast, we ordered bagel sandwiches, lox bagels, and coffee. The coffee nor chai was not enjoyable at all. Although, the food was quite good.

This place is fine. Like life with a toddler...it's fine, but you don't want to stay there for long. The lattes and donuts they bring in from Charlie's (sp?) are excellent - especially the sour cream old fashioned donut and the seasonal pumpkin spice cake donut I had one September. I'd give those few items 5 stars, but everything else on the menu is 2-3 star quality. The menu could use a reboot. Breakfast tacos are really not great, as they have sweet turkey bacon and powdered eggs on them so are nothing to be desired. Additionally, we've always gotten there right when they open (we're early risers) and the staff gives off a vibe that they wish we weren't there...or maybe that they wish they weren't there. Not a welcoming ambiance. Regardless, the donuts and lattes are what I need and I don't need a figurative (or literal) warm embrace from my barista, so we'll be back.

The service was good but the other customers were quite unfriendly. I was let into the bathroom by the person exiting the bathroom and they tossed me a key, meaning I wasn't given instructions. Because of this I accidentally left it on a hook in the door. Later an employee (straight black hair young female) rudely interrupted my meal with "what did you do with the key". Apparently instead of looking for the person the employee actually gave the key to the employee took out their anger on me. Wouldn't come back

Not great. We threw out our food. $70 for three people to eat breakfast. Everything tasted and looked fake. Egg bowl had fake eggs and not sure what was going on with the over easy eggs. Bacon had alot of sugar and looked fake and rubbery too.

Worth every dollar! They make cronuts and vegan and paleo donuts. The cronuts are light, flaky and glorious. Chocolate sea salt, vanilla creme and chocolate ganache were to die for flavors. Cream was light and still thick. The inside is the chocolate sea salt was smooth and the ganache was very dark. I am glad I don't live here! This is worth every cheat on your diet.

do not recommend. the breakfast bowl tastes like microwave eggs. definitely not worth $14. wouldn't waste your time here. & this is sad because 2 years ago when I was here I loved this place. It has definitely gone down hill and I wish it didn't since it's in such a great location!

Stopped in to check out Five Daughter's latest start-up, The Daughter's Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, FL - a very upscale and trendy beach location on the 30A. Recently opened, TDK is limited to serving their popular 100-layer donuts, but have plans to expand to a full restaurant/cafe in 2019 prior to the busy summer beach season. 4-stars for now due to the limited menu, but as Arnold said "I'll be back" again next year to see if they have achieved their anticipated 5-star level! Definitely visit when in the area and let them know the Lonny "Donut Duster" from Donut Explorers sent you! Happy eating...

Came here for some donuts. Walked in and felt tension right away. The lady at the register did not seem happy to be there. Maybe just a bad day. But probably won't come back. My girl loves her donuts though!

Right now they are only open for their 1000 layer donuts...but hey that is what they are known for. And these donuts, their delicious! Per their Instagram their grand open is set for after thanksgiving. Yay! I have tried flavors at their other locations in Nashville and the airstream trailer in FL. Strawberry is my favorite, but it is seasonal! I have also had cinnamon sugar and their current season vanilla cardamom-yum to both!

We stopped by for donuts one morning while staying in Rosemary. They were amazing! The gentleman that manages the counter walked us through each donut variety available. We had an apple filled, maple glaze, and a HUGE creme filled/chocolate covered donut that was out of this world. It was more of a pastry than a donut. For superb donuts...look no further!

Ordered a southern bowl and it doesn't really look like the photos they advertise. Missing green onions, microgreens and lacked flavor. I ended up throwing it out.

We got the avocado toast and bagel and lox. The bread for the toast was a bit big for the amount of avocado, but it still tasted good. There was way too much salmon on the bagel mainly because it was sliced too thick. It had plenty of cream cheese, capers and pickled onions, but the problem came later that day. I'm not sure but I think the salmon was bad because I had diarrhea and vomited about 3 hours later. Hopefully this didn't happen to anybody else. Wife had the kombucha and she said it was good.

Friendly service and convenient, but the cream filled donut was average. The sour cream cake donut was good

The Southern Bowl has little flavor. Service wasn't fast. Overall, I felt like this place is overpriced for what it is. I wish I had gone to McDonalds for a biscuit instead and saved about $20 bucks.

The coffee was good. But the eggs were terrible. Don't waste your money on food here. We ordered a $13 breakfast bowl and couldn't eat it because it was so bad.

First morning of vacation and on a recommendation from a friend we biked up for breakfast. So Good!! Everything we tried was great! Between the six of us we had chocolate sea salt filled with chocolate buttercream, maple, bacon, strawberry, cinnamon roll, a Quinn and the best breakfast sandwich any of us had ever tried. Even the cold brew coffees were great! Thank you - we will definitely be back!!

My two star review is based mostly on the fact that I didn't wait for my food... The design of the shop is adorable, modern and clean. The donuts looked delicious, though by the time I made it to the front of the line all the "purist" were gone. So I order a cappuccino and a biscuit with whipped butter and jam. My cappuccino came out in a decent amount of time, though it tasted a bit burnt. I stood and waited nearly 40 minutes for my biscuit, while hearing other complain they'd been waiting over an hour for their breakfasts. I ate the cost of my biscuit and left to free up seats and leave the tense atmosphere of the place. I feel badly for the staff, who are clearly doing this best in a tiny kitchen that's not even remotely equipped for the volume of people visiting. If it's off season, and you're not in a hurry - give it a go. Otherwise I might suggest you move along.

These might be the best donuts I've ever had. So good it's almost hard to stop eating them. The layers and fillings just put so many other gourmet donut shops to shame. Very happy I found this place. Chocolate sea salt might be my fave, but it's very hard to choose.

The breakfast tacos were sugary sweet and inedible. When asking the staff if there had been a mistake, they reassured us that the bacon is meant to be "candied." This is not well advertised and was a shock to bite into a candy egg taco. They were not remorseful and did not offer to swap our food out.

THE BEST SALAD I HAVE EVER HAD!! You must get the chicken kale salad! To die for!! Has a little spice kick to it aswell! So delicious! I also love the pina colada smoothie and the crunchy chicken wrap

Perfect morning! We decided to come here to try something new and we were so happy we did. Not only was e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. delicious but the staff was super friendly and our food came out quick, hot, and fresh! I had the power bowl, which was a great blend of flavors. The sea salt on top of the sprouts added the perfect touch to the guacamole, eggs and cherry tomatoes. I am a meat lover so I ordered a side of bacon which was also very flavorful and delicious; my mouth is actually watering while I write this! I also had the watermelon water and a latte. The water was so refreshing and the latte was okay, not bad but nothing memorable. My fiancé had the breakfast tacos which were ah-mazing! The bacon tied those together in a beautiful way. And you can't beat the gorgeous view when you sit out on the patio. We'll totally be back!!!

Good coffee shop. Conveniently located. Early hours which is nice when traveling with small children who wake up early! Friendly place with cool vibe.

Delicious coffee. They serve Lucky Goat coffee, which I find better that most coffee used at other coffee shops. You can sit outside and just soak up the ambience from Rosemary Beach.

Not bad but not great. Avocado toast was tasty but bread was so small and flimsy. Biscuits were pretty good. Kinda pricey for what you get

OMG. Everything is melt in your mouth delicious. The power bowl is phenomenal and you can get it made to order. So I got it with 2 egg whites. I don't even like donuts and I could devour the entire case of them. They have great coffee so you can skip the 30 minute line at Amavida. The avocado toast was also excellent!!

The staff that's hired clearly HATE their jobs, and they let the customers know every chance they get by their lack of customer service. They make you feel like a burden every time you arrive. They laugh & talk to each other, but look at the customers as of we are interrupting them. It's sad, but I had to share my experience (from multiple visits).

All the food is great! And such a great atmosphere and service. The latte is so good and taking some Charlie's donuts home is added bonus!

Terrible change of management. New people are ridiculously slow. And they have no idea what they're doing. They made a Cobb salad and added pico de gallo to it. Very disappointed. Used to be good but terrible now. Do not recommend going.

Despite advertising selling donuts, and the door saying "donuts fresh daily", no donuts and "where are the donuts" was answered with "we don't sell donuts". So if you're looking for donuts... and without donuts, extremely limited, uninspired, and overpriced options.

While I understand Spring Break Madness, I waited over 30+ minutes for a BLT that was forgotten about by the staff. After allowing the crowd to die down, I asked about my order and was met with a statement asking if I got a buzzer to alert for my food. When I replied no, nothing else was said. Food was rushed to be made however no one ever said a word about the delay or apologized. Not very good customer service.
