First time here. It was a busy Saturday night. We checked in and ended up waiting 20 minutes for a table. It was a beautiful night on the lake, so no worries. Got some drinks at the bar and waited at an empty table at one of the outside dock bars.
Got seated and our server did a great job to get us settled in. We already had our drinks, so we ordered right away. We got an interesting appetizer, fried avocado. That was a unique, and very flavorful starter.
The rest of the food came in about 20 minutes. That was a big disappointment. Both sandwiches, a brisket, and walleye, were completely cold, along with the fries. And the Salmon Salad, was missing some of the ingredients, including the candied pecans. The actual salmon on the salad didn't taste fresh and looked like it came out of a can. The only one of us that was happy with the meal got the Chicken Tinga Bowl.
Our server did a great job of helping to make things right (thanks Alexis). Got the sandwiches remade, along with the fries. Got a small cup of candied pecans to put on the salad. So it turns out to not be "horrible", just a long wait for a mediocre meal.
Not sure how much this is reflection on the typical food. Lots of people settle for sub-par food. At least the views were nice.
ps - when i paid the bill with my credit card, it asked if I had any complaints, where i noted "food quality". I'll update this review if anyone actually contacts me about our experience.
