Decent Happy Hour drink specials, plus daily specials, also. Fun vibe. Only complaint is they didn't cook the burger as ordered and they only cook it two ways - pink center, and not pink center. I ordered pink center and there was no pink at all.

This is a local local place one of only three places in Hampton Beach that is open year-round. During the day it is kid friendly, best if you eat outside on the balcony deck. Food is just okay and drinks are reasonable as to be expected for Beach prices. They have a great karaoke following which goes on yr round and happens every night of the week. They have 2 pool tables and a dance floor up and down stairs. Ambulatory friendly for individuals using a wheelchair or on crutches.

Great place on the strip with a really good mix of fresh seafood and other non seafood menu items. The best part it that the menu isn’t over priced especially with a large group. Sydney was a really patient and friendly server and helped me out by contacting the manager with a question vi text. Great service and place year in and year out.

I do not usually leave any reviews on anything but I was appalled and just had to today. The wings are great UPSTAIRS 👍🏽 but Please beware, there is a bartender DOWNSTAIRS who is very & I Mean VERY RACIST. I have never felt so bad in an establishment ever I spent over $150. I will not be coming back. Please do better.

Me and my daughter went there for the daily special and found out that is for dine in only and we wanted to take it to our hotel so we ordered food for take out. The pizza was excellent, i would recommend this place. You can order many alcoholic drinks. The have tv's and a pool table.

Charlie’s Tap House is hands down one of the best spots in Hampton. The staff here work their butts off. Seriously, they’re friendly, attentive, and never miss a beat, even when the place is absolutely slammed. We’ve been in during some of their busiest nights and still got everything we needed without waiting forever or feeling overlooked. The food is also fantastic ($25 twin lobsters all day every day). Whether you're grabbing a burger, apps, or something more hearty, it’s always fresh and hits the spot. And it’s a great place to bring the family too. Casual, welcoming, and the vibe is always upbeat. Even when it’s packed, they somehow pull off top-notch service with a smile. Hats off to the team at Charlie’s. We'll be back!

One of our favorite restaurants in Hampton. Super dog friendly with a large patio that’s perfect for enjoying a drink and getting a bite to eat. The staff is always welcoming, the food is great, and the karaoke is a blast. Great vibes, great service, and a place you’ll keep coming back to.

So let’s just say hubby and I came here for lobster because Wally’s decided to close their kitchen for the night. However when we got there we seated ourselves and the waitress came over right away and asked us what we wanted for drinks etc. We got everything we asked for however the food took forever to come and I mean forever. An 1 hr and a half wait for food no warning no nothing. I didn’t get to eat until 7:10pm and was sooo hungry

This place is wildly inconsistent from one week to the next. It's out of the way, has no parking, only one server working the whole place during the day, and dark restrooms as if we still used oil lanterns...BUT if you come during the evening on a summer night and order the twin lobster deal ($20), you will find 2 lobsters fat to the brim, steamed to perfection so that the slightest tug will pull a claw free and your lobster tail isn't shrunken to a toothpick. You couldn't order the same thing and get that level of perfect on any of those beachfront flashy joints just a few blocks down the strip. Believe me, I've tried. The small pepperoni pizza is perfectly crisp, great amount seasoning for the red sauce, and quality cheese pull. Now if you wait too long though and get there after the karaoke in winter time and they shut down their lobster deal for the summer, it ain't worth the trek! The burgers are stout and undercooked in the middle, and hearing all the drunk singers gets old after a while.

If you are a talented singer and think you have a chance at winning the $1,000 karaoke prize, THINK AGAIN. They like to keep that money "in the family". Contests are obviously decided ahead of time in favor of friends or employees. Don't waste your time and money sitting through this dog and pony show of a contest.

This place was amazing we just picked it randomly for dinner cuz we were on a road trip but it actually made us stay longer than planned. Service, food and entertainment was amazing.

Charlie's is a great local establishment. Fantastic food, fantastic staff, and great karaoke! I highly recommend Charlie's. Whether it's for lunch, dinner, or entertainment. A fun place to bring your kids during vacation as well. A blast for all ages! Rappy

Charlies Tap House will make you wish you had gone sooner. Thursday $5 burgers are huge and delicious loaded with NO extra charge. Hampton Beach parking is tough, but well worth the trouble. Friendly staff, mostly family members. I have had over 100 reviews read on others and have no attachments to Charlies. My wife and I go at least twice a week, 50C wings on Sunday ! Enjoy !

Went with my family to a concert at Hampton Beach casino but decided to get dinner at Charlie's 1st. I have a fairly picky group but my family was excited to see the menu, it had something for everyone. James was our server. He was absolutely amazing!! Though it was just him and Mel working he was patient with us and acommidated every need, he offered suggestions and was honest when we asked questions. It wasn't super busy but still busy enough for just 2 servers. The food was great, and drinks were spot on. Only issue we had was the apps and food came out at the same time. James was actually upset about this and apologized to us for it. Totally not his fault and we were fine with it. Mel was also amazing and kept coming by to check on us while she was tending to her tables. Our 1st time at Charlie's deff won't be our last.

We had a blast at Charlie's the other night. Great drinks, great beer on tap. $2 tacos! Definitely bar food ... the service was quick. Lots of people for a Tuesday night. Karaoke was so much fun and so many people sang. The young lady running it (so sorry I can't remember her name) has an amazing voice. We will definitely return, everyone was so friendly!

It's Hampton beach. This isn't about the food. Having said that the food is not terrible here. The lady who runs the karaoke is awesome and the bartender is a nice dude. Great spot for Dranks.

Isn't there an age limit of 21+ after 9:00 pm here in Hampton for all of the bars? I'm guessing there's no age rule in here after 9 pm since we have a table full of kids ranging from 6 mos through about 13 hrs old.

Okay so this was our first time here and we thought it was a great night to sit outside. There are 4 bars in one building which is great! Okay so I was impressed by the cocktails I had. The food NOT so much!!! The broccoli was cold I mean COLD, I had the Seafood Trio bad choice the taste was horrible I bit into the scallop and it was partly raw, gross!!! I just didn't eat my dinner. My husband had a burger how can you screw up a burger?? He asked for Medium and he got well done hockey puck. The appetizers we got nachos it was not great but okay. The cheese was melted but dry, all the fixings the toppings came separately you basically had to top your own nachos. The chicken wings were okay but no taste. The waitress Amy was great she was attentive and right on top of the drinks. I do not think we will return.

Ordered 3 drinks and were charged for 5 , didn't notice it til after I paid and looked at the bill. Bad karaoke, all I could think was Jon Taffer would freak out at this place "do you think customers want to listen to that?!"

Ent in for a drink sat down at the bar hadn't had a drop a liquor before entering their establishment, instantly denied service. Very prejudice bartender. I asked to speak to the manager who was also very prejudice. Unless you got there everyday and drink until you piss yourself you're not allowed service I guess.

Food is the worst I have had on Hampton Beach, and that is saying something! We asked what the bartender recommended, and she said the ribs are really good and made in house. My sister and I decided to share a full rack. When it came, to was extremely hot, like a temperature that only a microwave can achieve. Then we tried tearing a bone of to try it it...nope...not happening. Had a hard time cutting it with a steak knife! Bite it?!? Rubbery and not editable! The bartender then had the audacity to ask us if we wanted a box to take it home! Next the drinks. Ordered a Bucket of Rum, which is a big rum punch. Tasted great, like fruit juice. Neither of us could taste any alcohol, so we asked how much was in it. The answer was 3 and a half shots. My 100 pound sister drank a whole one, and felt nothing...lucking if it had half a shot. If you like a place to sing karaoke, that might be a reason to go. If you do, stick to bottled beers, they can't screw that up.

It's Monday so You expect it to be 3-4 people. They have karaoke and the people singing are pretty good! This is my first time coming here to this side of New Hampshire. From what I have been told this a summer beach location. The whole area gets packed. The bartender Jessica is amazing. I would come back because of her exceptional people skill. I like that there are actually young people that will come over this late unlike my trip to Maine. This has been a good experience. Even with only 5 or 6 people they are very enthusiastic. Check them out if your in town. I might give them 4 Stars if it stays consistent. However, I don't know if I ever will come back unless there is another contract. Come and check this place out. Sadly the kitchen closes at 10. Definitely not Providence. Lol BTW The pizza slices are good even when the kitchen is closed.

Rude staff. Rude manager. They would not all ow me to sing karaoke because I was not buying alcohol. They didn't come right out and say it but basically told me the guy who is buying $10 beers and mixed drinks is more welcome than myself that would rather not drink alcohol but rather water or soda instead. I will never go back there after the way I was treated.

- DJ was absolutely rude, kept complaining about drinks on the dance floor even though waitress served the drinks. - DJ cornered family member and made her feel uncomfortable - attracts dudes that like to grope girls God awful place.

I really like the bar and space it has especially with COVID19 and the crowded bars around. However, this place advertises a ton of beers on draft but I've been here 4 times in the past three months and I am not Lying when I say every single one I have tried had been skunked. Dogfish, bud light, bud, Newburyport IpA, stone face IPA. It's then I realized nobody orders a draft beer here-everyone has a mixed drink or bottled beer. Cannot comment on the food but people seem to like it. Let's fix this Charlie's-drop it down to 10 beers on tap so it's manageable for your staff.

I like it, I don't love it. Here are the pro's and con's for late night drinks( after dinner 9/10pm on). Pro's: it's a hot spot for karaoke and it's always going on. The drinks aren't too expensive and there is seating by the karaoke stage, as well as a bar, so you don't have to go to far to enjoy the evening. The upstairs offers a different environment from the downstairs portion-think more clubby-plus there's both indoor and outdoor options with their own respective bars depending on the weather, so you have options. Con's: it's not nice-at all-very divey, and perhaps that's part of the appeal. The bathrooms are small, dark, something is always broken, they smell and they're very very unclean (garbage, stuff in the toilets, etc). There not a lot of variety for the drinks, and the bartenders favor the locals. The locals dominate this place, so expect a long wait for karaoke, and you may not be able to find a table/seat depending on the time. Also, there's usually a line outside, so if it's cold or the weather is bad, come prepared. It's a low-brow, divey spot, so if that's your thing, this is your place. It's just not good enough to be the cool dicey bar I wish it would be, and believe me-I've come in and out of season.

Don't go there, we walked in and the bartender / waitress was not wearing a mask, so walked left. It's infuriating when you risk going to a restaurant during a pandemic only to learn that the employees don't care about the health and safety of the people trying to help them.

Solid beach bar with easy vibe Food is good- single steamed lobster 12.99 is pretty solid deal! A number of beers on tap along with pool and karaoke- can't be bad, right ?! They also had French tv on for our French Canadian friends!

Just waited at a table for 20 min. No waitstaff ever came over at all!...After asking we were told there is no table service, so we left and are now spending our money somewhere else

Had to post this in regards to the numb-skull John W below. I was actually in the establishment while he was in there, and though the bar tender explained to him that it would be a few minutes for the oven to be turned on and get his slice of pizza he didn't seem to get the message as he became rude and irritating to surrounding patrons. I come in quite a few times each month. The wait staff is always friendly, the food is good. This is the place to go with some friends or even coworkers to hang out grab some food & drinks and enjoy a good night. Clearly the meat ball below gave a bad review on a slice of pizza & beer. I love how he judges people by their looks in his review. If he wasn't a prick maybe he wouldn't have been thrown out. I would highly recommend Charlie's Tap House if you're in or around the Hampton area. Keep in mind being at the beach during the offseason it is quite and low key, but during the summer it is one of the busiest places on the beach front strip. Check it out for yourselves.

If We Could Give a Lower Score, We Would!! The ONLY Good thing last weekend at Charlie's Tap House, were the Drinks!!! SERVICE: TERRIBLE- First, Tho she said "No Problem," The So-Called Waitress Didn't Like the Fact that Our Party of 5, wanted separate checks, If Looks Could Kill, We Would have been stricken Right There!! After 45 minutes, (It WAS NOT CROWDED), she then Brought out our meals, (Note: 4 of the 5 of us got the same thing-Baked Haddock & Scallop Combo), ONE AT A TIME, 5+ minutes apart!! Two of us NEVER GOT SIDES, and One of Us NEVER GOT HER DINNER!! (Tho She Never Got a Bill!!),... FOOD: ALL OF the Food, (What We Got of It), Was COLD Fish & Scallops with a Sprinkling of Breadcrumbs!! (For $28+) The Waitress Heard a woman at the next table Telling Us Her Political Opinion, Bc We Were Wearing Masks!! She Said She Was "A Nurse, and That "Where She Works, People Who DID NOT Have Covid Were Still Being Diagnosed With Covid, "TO TRICK EVERYONE!!" " And "You Do Not Need Masks!" Tho We Were Kind, We Kept to Ourselves, We Did Not Agree, But We Did Not Say Anything!! All of A Sudden, We Heard A Waitress Tell Another Table, "They're Biden People,...and they Want Separate Checks, Too!!" Politics In Restaurants Now!?! RIDICULOUS!! Three of Us Went to the So-Called Manager To Complain When We Weren't Happy With service, but Were Given a "We're Short Because of Covid Crap!!" & "The Waitress Just Started Last Week!" Burger and salad were good, Coverley was lovely and made good drinks. The other bartender never made eye contact or said hi and I was there for an hour, very awkward. She spent plenty of time talking to the regulars, a couple who were so drunk and sound like he was speaking with marbles in his mouth. I doubt he was tipping her very well. Oh well her loss I'll be sure to ask for the person who really helped me out tonight. If I could find the owner or manager I'd certainly let them know, but I'm not sure they care. But they are fools because I'm an actual homeowner up their not vacationer.

So, I have never written a bad review prior to this. I recently purchased some property close to this establishment. I have visited several times and the service has been iffy at best. Tonight I went there to grab a cold beer. It probably took 6 to 7 minutes to be noticed. After receiving my beer I did not see the bartender for or I should say she did not see me for another 20 minutes or so I ordered my second beer only to have it be served warm. I put $10 out to cover my two beers, never received any change.

Went upstairs and the bartender was super nice. The taps aren't working at the outside bar right now but he went downstairs and brought me my drink. The steak tips were so good. Next time I'm bringing my family.

Waited 35 minutes for a bud light, bar wasn't even that busy. Fat "tough guy" bouncer couldn't keep his hands off the patrons, if he put his hands on me or my friends one more time there would have been a big problem. Get your act together

Ordered large amount of pizzas with our family/friends on vacation last week. Twelve pizzas are too much for this restaurant. The restaurant handled the order without customer service skills right from the beginning. They had a broken oven and didn't reveal that. Took our order and after 2 hrs we still didn't have our pizza. With 25 people waiting to eat and spend our last night of vacation on the strip shopping, the delay was very upsetting. They didn't apply any discounts, would not let us speak to manager via phone. After appearing in person, still no management helped our situation. They showed little concern, very little compassion, and zero professionalism as an establishment to serve the customers food, drink and entertainment. We will not be visiting again and highly advise others to do the same! Many other good restaurants in the area who do care about customer satisfaction.

Very cool place for some Karaoke and drinks...absolutely horrendous food though. Come, get nice and tipsy, sing some tunes, and enjoy the show. A very good selection of beers here. Monday's are half off for service industry workers!

Bartenders were extremely nice. Prices were good. Selection of songs were fantastic. However, the KJ was a complete dick to non regular patrons being not only rude to my wife but he touted he had every karaoke song known to man. So I chose a particular song and he didn't have if. He then made up some story to cover himself then was an ass the rest of the time to me. I love karaoke but left feeling disappointed. Not sure I would come back if and when I am back in Hampton.

This is my favorite restaurant to go to when going to the Hampton Beach. They have extremely cheap food compared to the restaurants by the boardwalk. It's a small troop from the beach, but it is worth it. Try the beach bucket, they will let you bring home the bucket. They also do two steamed lobsters for $19. Definitely a great deal.

I haven't tried but 2 things so far, I had a Rueben on st patty's day and a few weeks later a cheeseburger club. The Rueben was good but the cheeseburger club was kind of "meh". It was offseason but it was nice to be able to sit right down both times.

This place is just gross! Upstairs was like a hog breeding ground. It smelled like unshowered prisoners and was as muggy as a Louisiana swamp. The "talent" at the Karaoke bar was reminiscent of something you'd see in the shining.... Stay far far away!

I wanted this to be good - I had been to the bar that used to be in the same building and I was excited to see that Stacy Janes was now Charlie's Tap House - the old bar was - well you could read my review from a few years back. I come up to Hampton on vacation and I really love the beach. Unfortunately we chose a really rainy week this year so it gave us a chance to visit a lot of the bars and restaurants. From the outside it looks like a great brew pub with a ton of tvs for watching sports. Unfortunately it was just some new wrapping on a rotten core. The name changed but the bar did not. Still dirty - still disappointing- still overly confused about what they want to be. Are they a beach bar? Are they a sports bar? Are they a karaoke bar? Are they a brew pub? In their effort to be all things to all people they end up being nothing to nobody- a true case of "Jack of all trades and master of none" My advice to management: 1. buy a mop and train your employees to use it 2. Pick a theme and stick to it - strive to be the best "whatever" bar on the beach rather than the disturbing cacophony of everything you can think of 3. Try to create better food/beverage pairings especially since you're at the beach

Let me just start by saying it was NOT busy at all. Two bartenders didn't acknowledge us for 5 minutes, and when they finally did...No greetings consisting of " hi how are you guys doing, what can I get for you?" Needless to say we ordered food right away. Food took 40 minutes for a lobster roll and a burger. Mind you we ordered mozzarella sticks that should only take about a minute to cook but got them 10-15 minutes later. We could see the cook from the kitchen doors and he looked like he wasn't sure what was going on. Finally got our food. My lobster roll was good, small bun with lots of meat but way too many fries. My BF got a burger which he had asked for medium but looked looked like it could shout out "MOO!" I'm mean it was still edible but c'mon. Not once did the bartenders come over and ask how are food was or if we needed anything. Service could have been better, the bartenders were wandering around looking like they were busy but stopped to chit chat with other customers from time to time. Nope not going back

I was in this evening and ordered a beer and a 2.00 cheese slice advertised for 11:00 PM. First bartender on the left bar Lorna was busy and not aware of her surroundings. After ordering pizza from Lorna, she gave me a look of confusion. Then went to Corys side the right and Lorna made time to come behind Cory and made some remarks. I ordered a beer special for 3.00 and a cheese slice from Cory. Total on register said 5.45, Cory charged me 5.50. At 11:20, pizza was still not ready after sign read pizza ready by 11p. I asked Cory for my refund and she gave me back 2.25 for the pizza slice. I asked for my quarter. She rudely gave it to me. 2 minutes later the bouncer, said you have to leave. I said for what? He responded I don't ask questions. I'm thinking are you serious and where is the manager. Basically for me asking what I paid for the pizza the bartender kicked me out, and the bouncer not knowing the bartender Cory overstepped her authority and let it get personal over the kitchen not having pizza made and the customer asking for a refund.The owner needs to get rid of these bartenders who clearly don't know the first thing about customer service and spend more time in his restaurant during peak hours interacting with customers. This place needs a customer service focused manager if they want to grow it this business and hold the staff accountable with standards and integrity.

Bartender was rude, didn't attempt even half a fake smile. Although she was extra nice and flirty to the group of boys next to us. I asked for a simple slightly dirty vodka martini and it was disgusting! She never asked if we wanted to start a tab and kept cashing us out with every drink ordered so gave us multiple receipts. Definitely felt rushed and that we were not welcomed. A positive is another more experienced and friendly bartender checked on us and asked how everything was. Definitely the first and last time coming here.

The drinks are good. The food is alright. I like the fact that there are 4 different bars in this place. Downstairs has karaoke. Upstairs is more of a club scene. There is one karaoke DJ ( I use that term loosely) named Louise and she was AWFUL! A couple of my friends and myself all put in a song to sing. When we did this she looked at the songs and was making rude comments about our song selections. I didn't let it bother me to much because I wanted to have a fun night out. It took almost 2 hours for one of us to have a turn doing karaoke. The place was busy, but people who got to the bar after us sang before us. Louise also sang 3 songs in that 2 hour period, but we couldn't even get one song in. I'll definitely come back to give the place another shot when she ISN'T working. Wicked rude and unprofessional. Not sure how she still has a DJing residency here.

The drinks menu doesn't have prices on it and I think I was probably overcharged based on the bill. The ambiance was ok and I liked that they have four separate beer pong tables set up (for those of us who can't get over college). I can't say from personal experience, but my brother gave up half way through his seafood quesadilla stating that it was "too much seafood not enough dilla." I guess if you aren't a huge fan of seafood, take a pass on the lobster/shrimp/cheese experience. I will say that my cocktail was well made and our waitress was very pleasant (aside from potentially overcharging for drinks).

Went there the other day to escape the rain and ordered their version of a seafood platter that I shared with my boyfriend. It tasted just okay but later that night we were both very sick (and we were not the only ones with our party that felt ill after eating there either) The service was was inadequate and they added an undeserving amount of gratuity to the check being we were over a party of 6. There should have been no problem getting to us to order our drinks, food and bringing the bill as we were the only people in the restaraunt! Our party was staying across the street and we were very interested in going back for karaoke during our vacation but after that experience I would be hard pressed to even use the bathroom in that establishment!

its a Dive. a local watering hole, it is what you make it. Dancing "Cage" upstairs, karaoke downstairs. It is definitely lively and you can people watch. Lots of sights in this place

Excellent beer selection, friendly service and great food.

I've only been twice over 6 years, but since my friend's wife loves the karaoke, I tried it again. It's your typical karaoke - some people love to sing those wild country songs (yup we're in NH) and others love the good ole rock 'n roll (I can't sing so i dance). It's divey as you can get and hilarious. Local people watching is the best! Go with a big group of friends and the right mindset and you'll come out admitting "Stacey Janes is the world's best karaoke"!

Pretty good. Lobsters are good, clam chowder is good, service is good and the prices are good. Would pay more just because the locals are hilarious.

The Irish pub, Blarney Stone, that is part of/connected to Stacey Jane's rocks. Went in on a (summer) Tuesday night with a girlfriend. Turned out it was karaoke night in the front bar (awesome) and best of all, they were serving a full menu until 12pm!!! The bartender was really nice (and patient) and the chefs fries rocked! we complimented them and he gave us a little container of his "special mix" to take home. Seriously, this place is going to be our new go-to bar.
