You Should Stay at a Hotel in Venice

"Not IQs, as in Intelligence Quotient — though you will indeed feel smart staying here — but i Qs, Italian for, well, “the Qs.” This is an annex, or perhaps more precisely a satellite property, belonging to Charming House DD.724, and its four exceedingly stylish suites stand about twenty minutes from the main hotel, close by to the Piazza San Marco, with views over the Rio del Mondo Nuovo." - Mark Fedeli

Our experience at Charming House IQS in Venice was incredible! I highly recommend staying here. The property is beautiful, accessible, and the staff is very kind. Katia took the time to explain the city and apartment in full detail; she was outstanding. The apartment was roomy, bright, very clean, and gorgeous. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!

This was a great hotel and experience for our family. Originally I booked dd724 but due to construction they offered us to stay in the IQS apartment and we are so happy with that decision. I was nervous because it was an apartment and wondered about security but I quickly realized when we saw the unit it was completely secure with 4 different entry door barriers before entering the apartment and has a common meeting room that the staff used to conduct some work during the day which was very convenient since we could ask them recommendations for food and activities for the kids. They called restaurants for us and Sylvia even called our next hotel in Rome for us to ask for an early check in! Tania brought us fresh croissants each morning which our kids loved. The apartment was a 2 bedroom and 2 bath with showers in each. A/C worked well throughout which was important since it was 88 when we were there. All linens were fresh and the place cleaned daily. It was hotel service for an apartment which was much better than a typical air BB. Location was great on a canal any very close to st. Marks square. I would book this place again in a heart beat. Highly recommend.

In the most perfect spot quiet but a moments walk to everywhere you want to go. We stayed with our two children 11 and 12 the both loved place. Nothing was too much trouble, they recommended and booked amazing restaurants for us ( not silly expensive but great locations) and helped organise us trips - they were great and would stay again in a heart beat. This is my first review on Tripadvisor but felt I should as it was so great!!

Like living in a well-to-do Venetian's home. Exquisite art and furniture. Extremely quiet area away from tourists but close to St. Mark's. Lovely palazzo nearby for breakfast. Staff very helpful, especially with water taxis from train station and to the airport. If you want a non-hotel experience in a luxurious abode with very large and quiet rooms, with a great staff who goes out of their way to help, this is the place for you. Can't stress enough it's the real, not touristy Venice. Wonderful, wonderful stay from someone who traveled the world on business and always sought the "real" wherever i went.

Spacious, private apartments in a beautiful setting right on the canal and close to everything you need in Venice. The pictures on their website are accurate. Alexa is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and takes you in like a family member to make your holiday as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. And most importantly, KLM lost our suitcases when we arrived in Venice and Alexa and Tania went above and beyond in getting them to our room including calling the airport, lost luggage and the delivery service, waiting on the phone line, and ensuring we got our bags, which we finally did. They kept us up to date the whole time via WhatsApp. We were able to relax and enjoy Venice while they took care of those needs. Would absolutely recommend and will absolute return.

The location is perfect. A 2 minute walk to busy areas but the house is located in a very relaxed quiet neighborhood. Probably the best gondola watching intersection in the city from the access bridge. Alexa is an incredible host and will tell you about all the best places for good food, vistas, and experiences. The room was huge with very comfortable beds, modern styling, and unique Venetian charm. Just incredible!

We stayed at the Charming House IQs apartment in May of 2023. We were a family of 6, and this place was very comfortable with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The amenities were top notch, beds comfortable and extra features like coffee were appreciated. The place is very central and walking distance to most tourist sights and places. Alexa was a joy of a host. She set out to make us into Venicians, and I have to say she succeeded. We miss Venice so much already! It was the highlight of our Italy trip. Alexa was so warm and professional, and recommended great places to eat at, helped with water taxi reservations and made us feel like family. She really made our stay in Venice extra special and this type of hospitality is hard to come by these days. Don't look any further, this place is beautiful comfortable and perfect for a large group or a family. TAHNK YOU, ALEXA! We miss you! - Inna & Family

We stayed for a couple of days in Venice. Value for money deserve the price paid for. In the middle of city center and easy to walk kids around. Alexa the manager is a plus. Definitely good place for family with kids. Taxi boat from airport can reach easily the hotel

Yelp
This hotel is in the ideal location. It is equal distances between Rialto bridge and Pl. San Marco. However, it's neighborhood is more quiet and less crazy than those tourist centers. It is a 5-10 minute walk from everything. We rented a two bedroom suite. In addition to these bedrooms, the sofa in the living room converted into a pullout bed. The unit also has two separate bathrooms and a little utility kitchen. Most importantly everything was clean and new. The appliances were modern, including the espresso machine which we used each morning (pods included). So, the place was modern and clean and had a good location. But it was also quaint. To enter the hotel, you walk through a private gate over a small bridge, through a heavy wooden door into a private courtyard. It feels like Venice used to be in terms of the stone and woodwork. You can also arrive to the front door of the hotel via Canal on a water taxi. The staff was super friendly. They brought croissants each morning, they helped with restaurant reservations (even walking with us to show us how to to) and they even took care of our laundry. The only consideration I offer is whether you prefer a large format hotel. My parents stayed at the Danieli and we liked IQ's better.

Yelp
Beautifully well run, funky comfortable rooms, the ancient of Venice married with modern needs - this place is ideal. The breakfast of elegant and delicious. You have the Guggenheim collection next door, San Marco a short walk away it's perfectly located. Highly recommend this hotel to any of you .
