"Charrito’s has a half-price margarita special on Mondays. But just in case it isn’t Monday, you should know that this Mexican spot serves huge chorizo platters, fried red snapper, and flan on their colorful, turf-covered curbside patio every day of the week." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren

Delicious food and atmosphere. Amazing views of NYC skyline. Super impressive with this place. Love how the menu looked. Plenty of vegetarian option. Service was good. So many different people came and check on our table if we were good/ if we needed anything.

Been coming here since 2012, and I order to go food from here also. I have to say this is one of the most consistent Mexican restaurants out there. Their guacamole has been soooooo good for so many years! It’s one of the best guacamole I have had (better than places in Mexico 😂)! The food in general there is really good too, but sometimes it can vary. Drinks have been good too, nothing extraordinary.

1. Food. OVERPRICED and Mid. My plate was $41. Something so simple. I don’t know what I was expecting but what I got was definitely NOT worth $41. I’ve gone to the most luxurious restaurants and their plates aren’t even this much for something simple. I think people overhype this place up. If you want to bring your own dessert, they charge I think $3 or $5 JUST to bring it. 2. Service. It was okay. Don’t get tricked with the “would you like guacamole for appetizer?”question. Just the guacamole is $20 off the bat without giving you the menu. Also, watch out because they will give you the wrong receipt. I did love that the workers helped one another. If someone got too busy, another worker would somewhat take over. 3. Atmosphere. The place is insta worthy. The view is phenomenal. You can see the skyline of NYC/Hudson River. The “rooftop” is like on the side of the restaurant, not on the actual roof of the restaurant. Kind of deceiving based off the pictures 😭. LOVE that it is supportive of the LGBTQ community☺️ Also very crowded and overwhelming 😭 4. Music. The music was GREAT. They played alllllll types of genres. Whoever had the aux, you deserve a kiss on the forehead. 5. Tips. Already included. They charged us the 18%. 6. Parking. I have NO idea how cars can fit in that small parking lot. It’s valet parking. A $10 charge per vehicle. I’m better off parking on the street. Note: We drove almost 2 hours here, thinking it was going to be worth it. Definitely not. Ur better off getting Mexican food from your local Mexican restaurant.

Google
Absolutely loved the food! The guacamole was a standout – freshly made right in front of us, which was not only delicious but also fascinating to watch. A must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic Mexican flavors and a great dining experience.

Google
Love the guacamole being done in your table to your preference. Amazing food! everything was delicious!! About $20-30 minutes per person! Good deal for the location

Google
Went here with a few friends on the weekend. It’s a lovely place with a super vibrant ambience! Despite making reservations, we had a long wait time. I was not very happy about it. But the food was delicious and their homemade hot sauces were tangy and flavorful. Loved the tacos and guacamole! The shrimp fajitas were the best and a must-try! Definitely recommend the place to all the Mexican fare fans!

My company loved and couldn’t finish their food! That says that it’s worth an hour and a half trip for me to have a great view with great food

Google
This is one of the best Mexican authentic food I tried! This is a you must go restaurant, the view to New York is incredible, food is so good and the staff very friendly, the owner is incredible!, every time I come to New York I’ll definitely stop and eat here, I could give it 10 stars if I have more, don’t miss it, you won’t regret it!!

Briggitte D.

Yelp
BEWARE! The bill they give you is extremely deceptive, they never make mention anywhere that 20% tip is included and add it to your bill then put "suggested tip amounts" at the bottom on top of the 20% tip so those of us that aren't tallying the entire bill end up leaving 40% without realizing it. I'm sure they get away with this most of the time. Even before finding this out our party thought the food was mediocre, there was no parking. Other than the view there is no reason to come here. We won't be back again .

Beth M.

Yelp
This is my favorite go to, Authentic Mexican place! The Enchiladas Mole are outstanding. The ensalada mixed is abundant and healthy. The table side Guac never disappoints. The staff is delightful and attentive.

Binal T.

Yelp
We love this place! If you want to beat the traffic and not worry about reservations then come during lunch time. You can also get public parking outside in the morning. Salsa is freshly made in the morning so that's a plus for lunchtime. They increased guacamole price from $10 to $16. I would probably refrain from ordering that next time. Ambiance is as usual top notch with view of the city!

Melissa G.

Yelp
I have been a customer of Charritos for so long, it's time for a review. I've been to the Weehawken and Hoboken location. The Hoboken location is irrelevant since it is no longer open but I have always preferred the Weehawken location. To start off, they have the best real estate on Boulevard East. Absolutely nothing else compares to that view and no other restaurant on the boulevard can say they have a similar view (Riverroad is a different conversation). If you go, try to go during sunset. Trust me :) We arrived around 8PM and waited around 30 minutes for a table outside. Could have been sat down immediately but we were set on being outside, despite the spotted lantern fly issue. One of them hopped on my friend but that is not the restaurant's fault. It's a new reality the locals gotta deal with when being on the blvd. Thankfully, one did not hop in the food or drinks. Immediately upon sitting, we ordered a Passionfruit Mojito Pitcher. This was not on the menu, it used to be, but they still make it for me when I go (thank you sm). There were three of us and the pitcher gave us approximately 2 drinks each. For appetizer, we ordered el Queso Fundido. I couldn't geg a photo because we devoured that thing. It is a bit oily, but oh so yummy. For mains, we ordered Enchiladas Norteñas with chicken and green sauce, Shrimp Tacos, and Al Pastor Tacos. I am biased when it comes to the enchiladas, they are my go to. So delicious! The green sauce is not spicy but it really makes the dish for me. The tacos al pastor had a good amount of meat, but wish they came with a bit more onion and pineapple. We ordered green sauce on the side but seemed to be from a different batch or was specifically for tacos, because it was quite spicy. For reference, my friend often eats spicy foods but she was taken aback by the kick. We ordered sour cream on the side as well. Please note they do charge for the sour cream. The sauce in the shrimp tacos was great. The Tres Leches cake was delicious and I believe has peaches in the filling. If you are coming from out of town and driving, they have valet. If it is full, you may need to wait a bit for a spot to open up. The service overall was okay; they were very quick in getting you what you needed. Definitely check out Charritos if you are in the area!

Linh N.

Yelp
Ordered 2 taco dishes and a side of guacamole and chips. The steak tacos were good, but the birria tacos were a bit on the soggier side. The winner of the show was the freshly made guacamole dip! They bring all the ingredients to your table and start mashing the avocado and mixing in the seasoning to your taste! The restaurant is above a cliff and the views of Manhattan are incredible! Even though we dined outside on a very hot day, the shade and breeze kept us very comfortable. If you have a car, know that valet parking is $10. There is also nearby street parking.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
I always order the steak fajitas. They are well seasoned and delicious. I've never had bad service and Think the views of the city are amazing.

Mark A.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday and the food and margaritas were equally excellent. Service was also pretty good. The views are impressive, and I look forward to going back.

Brian B.

Yelp
It's all about the view at Charrito's. Enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican food, crafted cocktails, and a spectacular view of New York City across the Hudson River. Drink and food prices are a little high, but that is well worth it so they can pay for this prime piece of real estate. Guac is made table side and is a must.

Diane C.

Yelp
4.5 Stars! Recently, we stopped in for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining with wonderful views of New York City. Very festive Mexican indoor decor. We ordered Mojitos- Regular and Passion fruit. Both cocktails were phenomenal! Food consisted of Guacamole prepared table side and beer batter cod tacos. The guacamole was excellent. The tacos were good, but had too many onions. Service was friendly and very good. Parking is primarily on the street. Think there might be a small private parking lot available.

Rachel C.

Yelp
This is a really nice Mexican restaurant with the skyline view. You have the ability to sit outside or inside. It is beautifully decorated with bright colors. I had pollo en rajas for the first time and I would certainly be back for it! The chicken and corn was on a light and creamy sauce (similar to Alfredo). The portion is big and filling. The flan was great too! The only thing I would state is that the margaritas felt a bit small for the price $15 each.

Amanda H.

Yelp
Still love this place. No changes. Good service. Great vibes. Love the table side custom guacamole, chips and salsa. I ordered something new for me last time - the Tijuana. This was an dish which is combo of several things, great when you can't choose and want one of everything. I would definitely get this again. My friend always gets the garlic shrimp - so good!!

Shenandoah M.

Yelp
Great food great atmosphere. I'm glad we didn't pay atn to the reviews. As we may have missed this Must get the guacamole

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Really good Tex Mex with a beautiful view and beautifully crafted indoor decorations that change with the seasons...and the BEST table side guac ever! They also have outdoor seating to enjoy the view during warm months. Valet parking is a must as it's nearly impossible to find street parking, but it's $10 which stinks since it was $3 just a few years ago. Came here in Dec and sat indoors. Indoor decorations reflected a festive winter wonderland. I always get table side guac here to start. Even their chips are deliciously salty and crunchy. Salsa tastes like it was homemade and not from a jar. Ordered beef fajitas and my friends carne and pollo asada. Everything tasted great, but carne asada was slightly chewy. There's a bar if you want drinks. Prices are very reasonable and portions ample. Service was very good. My only con was the expensive valet parking.

Matt S.

Yelp
One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to! The food was delicious and you could tell that everything was homemade. Once we ordered our food we received it pretty quickly however our chips and salsa appetizer came out at the same time as our meal. The portions are very generous and definitely a good value. We sat outside since it was a nice day and the view of the Manhattan skyline was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely return!

Gabriela O.

Yelp
Charrito's is the coolest place in the area. Their decor will pleasantly surprise you every time. Colorful and creative, Mexican theme of course. I love it so much and the view of Manhattan from the restaurant is just wow. Their food never disappoints. My favorite dish is the Carne asada ( steak with rice and beans and pico de gallo. Their beans are so tasty!!! For entree I'll recommend the Queso Fundido omg your life is better after you try it haha, this dish is so good and if you love cheese is a great choice. My husband loves the shrimp tacos there, the little sauce just has something that makes it so delicious. The service is always great, everyone is very attentive. Keep going charritos ;)

Mary Daisy D.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The mole is to die for to be honest. They use mostly imported ingredients from Oaxaca. Service was also great, from the cooks to servers they were all very nice and friendly. I will definitely go back for that enchiladas. Totally recommend!

Sne G.

Yelp
I have been to this Charrito's several times, and yes it is for the view !! The Newyork skyline view and the vibe is so good. Be ready to wait if you are a big group on a weekend or call ahead of time. The service was surprisingly quick the last time I went, however the staff could be warmer and friendlier. We of-course had to get the freshly made Guac to kick off the meal (5/5). Followed with Veggie Enchiladas ( 3.5/5), Chicken Fajitas ( 4/5 ), Birria Tacos ( 3.5/5 ).... And wrapped up with Flan ( 4.5/5 ). I would come back for the view, you can find better Mexican food in other places too.

Rebecca Z.

Yelp
Really good Mexican food with gigantic portions. They make the guac at your table and so it's very entertaining. The service was attentive and the ambience was fun!

Ana M.

Yelp
La variedad de platos sabores . Su vista a new york es algo mágico. Su precio es justo oara el tamaño de los platos, excelente servicio

Nancy M.

Yelp
Food Delicious! Grabbed table aide guacamole and added chips and salsa. The Asada plate was filling the frijoles were really good. We also ordered the combo of the burrito mole enchilada and taquito. All were good but especially the burrito(yummy). I could've used a little better on service but the food made up for it. The ambiance was pretty at this time of year I think it's because of the season of Halloween and The Day of The Dead. But the view of the city from here OMG Thank you!

Angelica C.

Yelp
A beautiful Friday night 5pm dinner hit the spot at this amazing Mexican restaurant. The colorful ambiance really pulled us in and the food and drinks kept the vibes going. We started with a pitcher of the passion fruit margaritas that had fresh passion fruit in it! It was nice and tart and refreshing for what was a scorching hot day. And of course we had to start off with the table side guacamole! As we sat and enjoyed our guacamole, countless orders of Fajitas flew by us and the smell was amazing but ultimately it was an Enchilada type of night as most of our table ordered enchiladas. I myself ordered the Enchiladas Oaxaqueñas cuz I loveee mole! The portions were so big I had to take some to go! (Who doesn't love leftovers!) By the end of our meal we def had to order another pitcher of margaritas but this time mango and it had actual pieces of fresh mango! What a nice touch! As we left the restaurant, the parking lot was packed so we got lucky we came at the time we did! Side note they are queer friendly not only for pride month as all restaurants should be!

Jane L.

Yelp
Our party of three had a great time, food was amazing. For appetizers we ordered queso fundido and chips/salsa. Poi's The queso fundido was such a delicious treat ( generous portion). We also ordered chicken enchiladas and tacos. Awesome view, wow!

Michael O.

Yelp
Great view of New York with a chill ambiance . I when around 3-4pm. I had fish taco and queso fundido with a nice cold mix drink . The service was okay could have been better giving it was packed . Would have been a 5 star. Usually service is good .

Quiana W.

Yelp
Haven't been to Charritos in a while so I decided to stop by. Charritos has the luxury of having a great view of Manhattan on BLVD East. You can typically find parking on BLVD or they have valet at times. Once inside I noticed how dark and old it was. The tables and chairs were old wood and the seats were uncomfortable. The service was just ok. The server just kind of came over and asked what we wanted and that was it. We had the guacamole which was decent. The plus side of the guacamole is that it is made fresh in front of you however you like it. The salsa was decent also. I had the chicken enchiladas and my friend had the vegan Taquitos and we shared the fish tacos. The food was very bland and underwhelming. On the plus side there are vegan options for those that are vegan. We had sangria to drink which was just ok. I recall Charritos' food being way better than this in the past but the menu was limited and the food was bland. It's kind of unfortunate for the location.

Yelp
PLEASE STAY AWAY FOR YOUR HEALTH!! I used to come here religiously about 8 years ago and they had multiple franchises, and everything was fresh and great. I stopped going because I got food poisoning 7 years ago. I decided to give them a try again and it was the worst experience. The short hostess has a huge attitude problem, does not say high, and does not care to seat you where the customer would like. The place was empty and they refused to sit where we, the customers would prefer. They rather lose the money on a day when it's empty. We called the manager and she went to the hostess first, and came to us with a carefree attitude telling us "Even though it's empty, we cannot seat you where you want." I can see why this restaurant chain has closed down its other restaurants. The staff does not care about losing business, the place looks run down, the drinks are horrible, food looks like (rice/beans) runny mashed potatoes cafeteria food. The place smells, full of flies, dirty seats, and floors and it reflects on the staff. I would never recommend coming here. This used to be the place with fresh food, good drinks, and views. I can predict that this place won't be open for long if the owner continues to ignore the reviews.

Raquel N.

Yelp
First time here, attended their New Year's Eve dinner with friends which was a pre-fixed menu. Food was fine but could definitely improve. Drinks were good. View of the city is nice. The vibe for New Year's was horrible. They played slow music or no music at all. We requested uptempo music 5 minutes before the ball and instead we received a ballad. There was also no countdown or indicator for New Years.

Ivonne P.

Yelp
If you order the steak, you literally get bottom of the barrel steak. The cheapest of the cheapest. If you want better quality steak, order tacos al carbon for $25, which is still crazy ash. Then if you want a "Mexican coke" $6 lol . Please raise the quality of the food you're serving.

Tayler E.

Yelp
This place always hits! I've been twice and the food has stayed consistent and only got better!! Servers are nice and the drinks are also really good!

Amanda J.

Yelp
Happy to finally visit this location. Food did not disappoint. Flan was the best bite. We arrived at 8:30 and had to drive around a little bit for parking. We got a table outdoors. The view is worth the cost of the entrees. Drinks are fairly priced and strong. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us with our drink options. The indoors is colorful and fun. Lots of tables grouped together for large families. Only three restrooms, two upstairs (hot tip visit for the view)...only thing I'd change is add a few more restrooms and more accessible options.

John R.

Yelp
It's ok. Pretty authentic, but they could do better with flavor. I had the tacos al pastor and they were pretty much fully fried, like I was eating crispy bacon tacos. They're a bit cheap with the guacamole, only 1 small haas avocado and it's drowned in a chopped onion and cilantro, barely any avocado, should be 2 avocados honestly. The only thing that was good was the chicken fajitas.

Juli C.

Yelp
This place has nice views of the NYC skyline! But the rest, it's just overpriced Mexican food. We started with chips and salsa and an order of something similar to flautas ( I forgot the name) along with a modelo for my fiancé and a pina colada for me. It was tasty! Then I ordered the shrimp tacos and my fiancé had the birria tacos. Food was okay, nothing to rave about or tell family/friends they have to immediately try this place. I will say this though, I'd like to come and sit outside when the weather is warm because that view of NYC skyline is amazing.

Marc M.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years and I figured it was about time we came up and enjoyed a meal. Honestly I've heard people say it's pricey but I really didn't find that to be the case. I thought the drinks were extremely reasonably priced. The side guacamole and queso were delicious and honestly could of filled us up alone. We did grab some Al pastor tacos that were very good. The house margs were perfectly made as well. I'll definitely come back up and make this a regular Mexican spot for sit down. My only issue was they didn't have the AC on. It was really hot inside but other than that the food and drinks were great.

E B.

Yelp
I'm from the west coast where Mexican food is plentiful and delicious. This restaurant is really good and reminds me of being back home. For sure one of the best Mexican restaurants in NJ or NY. The guacamole made table side is amazing and they make it to your level of spiciness. Margaritas are delicious. We love their fajitas and enchiladas. Also the nachos are very good.

Kristin A.

Yelp
Stopped by Charrito's Sunday evening for dinner around 6:30 pm. Since it was a holiday weekend, we figured it would not be too crowded and we could get a table outside for two. When we arrived, we did not have to wait and were immediately seated outside. If you are driving, they offer valet parking for $5 which we opted to do. Most of the tables inside and outside were taken. Despite seeing several employees catering to the outdoor area, service was very slow and not up to par. There was no silverware set at the table; had to follow up to get initial cups of water; our appetizer came out several minutes before our drinks even though we ordered them both at the same time. For our appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido with chorizo. It comes out steaming/sizzling in the bowl. Unfortunately though, we had no silverware or plates and had to wait several minutes before we could dig in, letting it get cold, as there was no clear silverware in the outdoor area. They also only gave us 4 flour tortillas which was a little stingy. Despite those things, it was very delicious. We also enjoyed our frozen margaritas. For our mains, I had the enchiladas in red sauce w/ chicken and my boyfriend had a burrito. My boyfriend asked for no beans in the burrito but wanted them as a side with the rice. They messed up his order and gave him all rice on the side. We both enjoyed our entrees; the food was nice and hot when it served - just took a while to come out. I definitely like the food at this Charrito's location more than the Hoboken one - they just need to work on their service.

Anna K.

Yelp
Table side Guac? Birria tacos? AND passion fruit margaritas? YES! cozy and fun vibe with the perfect location, overlooking the city. Delicious and service was attentive enough.

Meghann A.

Yelp
Food & ambiance were great. I had tacos borrachos which were delicious! For appetizers, we had guacamole & cheese.

Jin K.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. Truly an authentic Mexican restaurant. They make their guacamole in front of you and you can adjust the spiciness. Their cocktails are great!

Melissa R.

Yelp
On Valentines Day-Monday afternoon, parking wasn't bad-we're familiar of the area so we know parking isn't the best and probably worse at night. My fiancé made a reservation for lunch but upon arriving was told there was no reservation under his name. Strange, but no problem-they we're able to seat us. I was surprised the tables weren't all 6ft apart like most restaurants now a days and honestly I prefer it (pandemic or not lol) but just a heads up, as it was busy as we had two other couples sitting by us less than 6ft apart (if you're curious). We ordered la Diablita and mojito to start which were great and the Botana Nortea Combo-delicious! Definitely recommend. The end of the "crispies" (flautas) we're burnt but it didn't taste burnt so that was good. On the menu it doesn't state if it's made with a protein but they were chicken and so were the quesadillas, the nachos had diced steak, all of which was delicious. For our entree I ordered the Enchiladas Norteas (shredded beef) came with a side of rice and refried/bean paste which I wasn't ever a huge fan of Mexican rice and beans but it was tasty and fresh. Enchiladas were yummy. My fiancé enjoyed his shredded beef burrito as well. The service was okay, not spectacular but given the circumstances of staff shortages everywhere they didn't miss a beat. The servers were still attentive and welcoming. We didn't wait too long for our food so that's great too as we were kind of on a shortage of time. Overall, nice experience and would love to visit again during dinner time.

Kate Y.

Yelp
Service was the worst we've ever experienced. The short lady with very long hair who assigns seats (the host) has terrible attitude and totally without conscience, very rude, disrespectful and was racist towards white people. that woman went to the back and SPITS ON FOOD. boss about to avenge her personal insecurities. TOTALLY UNKIND and no morals whatsoever. she said no to all simple requests & combative even if you ask nicely. The gay servers spits on food too was caught by several customers. worst experience ever. do not recommend at all. there are better restaurants with better view because the trees were covering the view. food was very basic.

Mr. LJ V.

Yelp
Took my coworkers here and they loved it. Food, the view everything was stellar. This used to be my go to when I lived in the area. Still quality. I'm now the food picker for all job outings. lol

Camila P.

Yelp
Have always loved Charritos, been coming here since I was a kid. The food is some of the best Mexican food in NJ. The steak fajitas are my favorite but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Mango margarita is my fav drink- and they are strong. Lovely atmosphere and the view of the city is amazing. One of my favorite spots!

Yun C.

Yelp
PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF!!! ONLY IF I COULD RATE THIS LOCATION BELOW ZERO I WOULD! After giving this business several opportunities! This was our last one and I would suggest if you are reading this you don't even try it if you have any standard for good customer service. You will be greatly disappointed from the door. No even a "hi or a smile" Where the hostess the first person to represent the restaurant has the WORSE VIBE AND ATTITUDE towards customers! Starting from the fact that the restaurant was empty!!! I am not exaggerating please see the pictures and see if it makes sense to you to treat people poorly when the business could use the money and both times I asked with respect and cordially. The Very bad business etiquette. We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view and because I'm short and we are a couple I wouldn't be able to see the water if I sat where she took us without even asking or given us choices. We wanted to sit at one of the 4 ppl table since it was better placed for the views and the restaurant was practically empty. She told us no in a rude way and said if we sit inside which was really empty we still had to sit in a two people table! No accommodating at all , on a MONDAY at 6:00pm in an empty establishment because miss rude was having a power trip! You can see and feel she hates her job! I asked to speak to a manager and here comes a person dress like a regular server with a nastier approach since she spoke to the hostess before she approached us. Came completely predisposed to act like they don't care. The poor servers are paying for their lack of hospitality! We tried to explain what we were looking for and being that the restaurant is empty we didn't understand what was the problem. This lady short blond hair light eyes! ( so called the manager) Says that 4 are for 4 and that they can only sit us in the two! IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT and continue to repeat the same while not listening to our very valid point. So we just decided to leave hungry and disappointed at the level of awful customer service they can't even explain correctly or with a professional touch. THOSE EMPLOYEES CAN CARE LESS ABOUT THE BUSINESS! We gave them another chance just to confirm. We should off stay away! As per the food the other times I tried it needed a bit more seasoning but we understand it depends on the chef in schedule. However the energy from the door is negative and unprofessional. We would oof understood if the restaurant was booked and busy but to be that mean and rude in an empty place is beyond unreasonable.

Christina W.

Yelp
The only redeeming quality about this restaurant is the view (if you're lucky enough to be seated where you can see it). We were seated upstairs which didn't have AC until midway into our dinner. We were also served lukewarm water, no ice? We were SWEATIN. I will say my non-alcoholic mango mojito was delicious, but that's literally mango syrup lol. My party and I started off with the chicken nachos. There was nothing spectacular about this, and you would think that nachos would come as a bigger portion. I got the Al Pastor tacos and they were so so dry. The lime juice couldn't save this dish. At $15 for 3 tiny tacos? Never again. My friend got the chicken enchiladas, and he didn't even finish. It just wasn't good. I won't be coming back here, it was such a disappointing meal.

Danni H.

Yelp
The drink's definitely hit the spot. The view of NYC was amazing. The rice was flavorful along with the tacos. We had skirt streak tacos and chicken tacos. Ask for the extra green sauce on the side for an extra kick. Overall, experience was great would definitely go again. Our waiter Franklin was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and provided the best selections.

Duane H.

Yelp
Afternoon date on a weekday. Beautiful, scenic views of NYC. Music not too loud, you can carry a conversation. Food was A1. Had the chicken and skirt steak tacos, coupled with passion fruit margarita and lime frozen margarita. Service was quick, however they said the outdoor seating was closed. A little disappointed because it was a glorious day. Pretty sure it was due to staffing. Franklin the server was super dope.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Here's to the old "third time is a charm" cliché: First time: So after hearing so much about this place, we gave it a shot! Party of 6, Saturday night, 8 pm = 2 hour wait, so we unfortunately passed and went elsewhere, all good, this happens! Second time: Middle of the week, hot summer evening, party of 2, Wednesday night, 7 pm = 1 hour non-guaranteed wait (as they would have been more than likely closed by the time we were to be seated), again! All good and totally understandable! Third time (and it really was a well worth awaited charm): Sunday, late brunch, party of 6, only this time I called before heading there, to check what the waiting time was like for a party of 6. I was told the wait time was of about 20 minutes soooo on our way over to Charrito's we were! So upon our arrival, we were greeted by the Charrito's friendly host and we were amazingly seated right away on the outdoor seating area. Really, really cool and relaxing vibe/view! Our waiter was amazing and very attentive to our needs too! To me the highlight was the guacamole, which is made from scratch! I have been to other places that do this but Charrito's guac was like no other! I do have to say that i do love a sizzling hot plate of fajitas, our order of fajitas were everything but sizzling, however they were delicious! The burritos looked really good and my family did enjoy them. Nice outdoor seating too! Something was missing though! I felt a slight emptiness and then all of a sudden it hit me! No music, all good! So i did what i do best! Improvise! Nothing wrong with some extra "salsa" with my fajitas, so i put own my own "Eddie Santiago" tunes and this was the cherry on top, lol! What we ordered: - side of guacamole (made from scratch right in front of you) - frozen margarita - chicken fajitas - chicken burritos - coke (soft-drink that is lol) - modelo beer There is valet parking available, we found parking right around the corner, basically make your first right (northbound) on Pershing Rd. And you will see street parking on your right hand side. An excellent experience overall! Well worth the third try! We will be returning!

Yelp
Excellent view. Good authentic Mexican cuisine. Beef tacos were the best, however chicken flautas were very dry and stale, mediocre dish. Aquas Frescas we're overloaded with sugar. Overall it's ok place nothing special except the views.

Yelp
I used to like this place great atmosphere and friendly staff. Today I walked out without eating. The location no longer offers a paper menu.

Yelp
Came to enjoy the patio lunch dining on a beautiful Jersey day. It felt totally safe - grabbing a table closest to the end and spread far away from the other tables outside. Staff all were wearing masks! Everything we had was delicious Passion fruit margarita (made with real fruit!) Strawberry margarita Mango mojito Queso Fundido with chorizo Chicken enchiladas Steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas (skimping on the shrimps) but delicious We asked for spicy hot sauce... they have a spicy salsa they brought out and boy did it have a kick to it. Ask for that if you like heat.
