This place was a wonderful experience. The views of the river and the Cincinnati skyline provided a wonderful ambience. The service was top notch, and the food was exquisite. They had great drink selection, and their mixology was on point. I’d highly recommend this place for date and night or a special occasion.

Google
One of our favorite local places. The food is always excellent and the staff are exceptional. ‘L’ Was our waiter tonight as we were celebrating our 12 anniversary and he was just great. Everything we’ve ever tried here has been top notch and at a much better price than some of the comparable establishments in the area. Love the atmosphere as well. Highly recommend.

We went back for a 2nd visit to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Everything was wonderful, with one exception. The Alaskan King Crab Legs were not fresh. I went back specifically for them!! I sent them back. 2nd order still wasn't fresh, although they were flavorful. I do recommend this place. Ask for Jeremy!

I went early on a Friday and they were very busy. I originally had a reservation but sat in the bar instead. They had a nice selection of white wine by the glass. Excellent Oysters Rockefeller. The dress code was very casual. Although there were people dressed up too. I think it is reasonably priced for a higher scale restaurant. Two glasses of wine and an appetizer were about $50 without a tip. They had a large happy hour menu, which I did not order from. Parking wasn't bad but I went very early. I was surprised that they did not have valet parking; but it could be that I was too early. I'm looking forward to going back.

Google
A very nicely put together special event for the WEBN fireworks. Everything was amazing, & we had the best server Tracy. The food is always great here, but all the items chosen for the buffet were well done, including the pass around appetizers. The mini desserts were really good too.

Google
Chose Chart House for our celebratory 20th anniversary dinner. Tracy our server was very tentative and all the food was excellent. Probably the best salmon I’ve ever had! My husband got prime rib and said it was good too! We were stuffed and couldn’t finish dessert. Good value for the money and great views on the Ohio river too!

We went here for a date night. The door greater was friendly and danced to the overhead music. We were seated in a nice spot, with of course a view. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating with our drink and starters. Then I started to feel sick. The waitress checked on me often and asked if I needed assistance with low sugar. We instead asked if we could get our meal to go. We unfortunately didn't get to eat our dinner in this wonderful place, but the hospitality and accommodations for us were amazing. The dinner was still amazing later as takeout and leftovers once I was feeling better. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
Beyond incredible! The food was absolutely fabulous! The service was equally outstanding! My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary and they knew that. They had special menus printed up for us as well as a shareable dessert after our meal. I highly recommend if you're in the area, make a reservation and have yourself one of the best meals you'll have the pleasure of experiencing. Outstanding!

Yelp
Larman provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the view made the whole experience unforgettable.

Yelp
Great services with our server being Larman the food was excellent with the NY strip being great in flavor with the help of the buttered chimichuri sauce.

Yelp
We hit up Chart House in Newport for a quick happy hour--great drinks and apps at solid prices. But heads up, you have to sit at the bar to get the happy hour specials. Also be sure to check the HH times because they do vary by location - the Newport location ended at 7. The vibe is chill but classy, the service was fast and friendly and it was the perfect level of busy. Also, bonus points for the sizable free customer parking lot right on the river.

Yelp
This restaurant in Newport right on the Ohio River has a great view of the Queen City. Almost every table in there you can see the Cincinnati Skyline. They greet you with warm bread for the table to start. We went for Cincinnati Restaurant week and the coconut shrimp were perfectly crisp and the sweet chili sauce paired perfectly with it. The clam chowder and Caesar salad were both great starters before our entrees. The crab stuffed shrimp were good, but the lemon pasta paired with it was drowning in oil and butter. After a few bites of the pasta it felt very greasy. My boyfriend got the salmon and shrimp with rice and said they were both cooked well. We finished off our meal with their key lime pie and cheesecake. They both were tasty and just what we needed to finish off our meals.

Yelp
My husband and I just had our anniversary dinner here tonight and it was and amazing experience. From the happy anniversary wishes on our menus and the complimentary glasses of champagne to finish off the night and the delicious food and our incredible waiter, pat, 10/10 service and delicious food. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the New York strip. Couldn't recommend more!

Yelp
Was seated with a large party of 15 for a work dinner. Service was very slow for drinks, as there was one bartender for the entire dinner service. Food was slow to come out, but with a large party is to be expected. Quality of food was exceptional. Deserts very decedent and rich. Oysters fresh!

Yelp
Good food and good service. Decor is a little dated but the awesome river view makes up for this.

Yelp
Wow! What a very pleasant surprise. We arrived in the evening at the Fairfield inn directly Across the street from the chart house. It's a 30 second Walk! We were hungry having traveled several hours by airplane and we would have been happy with anything decent. To our surprise, the restaurant was beautiful inside, the view was fantastic and the food was superb. We thought about trying a different restaurant the following night but the Chart House was just too nice to not visit again. I can't say enough about this amazing gem. It was one the most unexpected pleasant part of our visit to Cincinnati. 5 Stars without a doubt! Thank you!!!!!

Yelp
First of all the happy hour is insane. Great prices lots of food. Nothing over 12 dollars. Sunday through Friday We ordered from the dinner menu. New York strip for hubby. Herb crusted salmon is delicious. Their mashed potatoes garlicky and yummy. The pomegranate martini is the bomb We sat at the bar and the service was impressive and friendly. And of course the view is top notch.

Yelp
We traveled from Cleveland to pick up our Cincinnati first year college student. We were coming off the road the night before and traveled across the bridge to this wonderful restaurant. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We were so grateful for being able to get a hot delicious meal. Our table was right by the water and the lights from the bridge was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Totally forgot about Chart House as an option for seafood in Cincinnati. Reading the reviews and looking over the menu made my decision to give it a try. We arrived early evening on a Saturday. We had our choice of tables and of course chose to sit facing the riverfront. The service was friendly and attending. The manager even stopped by our table mid meal to check on things. Overall the restaurant was clean and offered great ambiance with the view of the river and passing boats. The wine list was fair with inflated prices. With that, I chose to stick with beer. We tried the oysters as a starter. They were chilled and served fresh and absolutely delicious! Probably my favorite part of the meal. The entrees were good and came out as ordered. I had the seared ahi tuna. I had it medium rare and now wished I had it prepared rare. It was still delicious. Overall we were pleased with the food and dining experience and I recommend it to try for yourself.

Yelp
Went there for a birthday dinner. The ambiance is nice. Not too dark when the evening wore on. The experience reminds me of casual but fine dining in Paris. Paced meals to allow time to savor, unwind and talk with friends. I had the lobster and shrimp carbonara. Delicious!! Beautiful view of Cincinnati. On-site parking. Nice servers. I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Went tonight on a Monday night and from start to finish it was a bad experience. Started with standing at hostess station just to have hostess come back and tell me to hold while she took call in orders. Finally sat at table to wait 10 min for water or a drink. Ordered good at sat. 35 min no appetizer they brought my husband his salad after 20 min and when we asked where crab cake was we were told it was on way and the kitchen was backed up from happy hour. So crab cake came was cold the tomatoes and corn was cold not 2 min after we got crab cake food comes to table so now my entree sits getting cold while i eat the crab cake which was ok bc the fish i ordered was so dry and over cooked i ate it bc i want to go home and i don't have patience to wait for another one. But based on all the customers looking around for waiters or food I'm not the only one unsatisfied today.

Mary A. B.

Yelp
Went here during restaurant week. It's a great view and the food was upscale and what you would expect with the location. It's a great place for those on expense accounts or out for a special occasion.

Yelp
The Chart House isn't what it once was. We've gone there occasionally since 1990. On this visit: no more valet parking. Long waits for our glasses of wine (no wine available by the bottle) after being seated, and again during our meal. $18 servings of white wine not properly chilled (or maybe because it was transferred to a warm decanter first). $330 tab (including a $50 tip) for two. Not a good experience or a good value. We love fine dining, and we're happy to pay for excellent food and service. We'll not be back.

Yelp
It was the end of happy hour and I was a single so my wait for service was a tad longer than expected. When I was finally served, it was excellent and efficient. Now the restaurant was full, on a Wednesday night, in Kentucky. I think that speaks volumes. The shrimp beignets were absolutely delicious, the martini was perfect. I also ordered a small lobster bisque but it was so delicious I wish I had ordered the large. It was full of lobster chunks, yum! The view of Cincinnati was a bonus. It was all lit up for Christmas. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Reservations at 5:45 on Saturday. We arrived a little early and were promptly seated at a river view table. Server was good. First time I had been served spinach salad with diced spinach. All of the ingredients were probably pre cut diced eggs on salad bland and rubbery (probably pre cut into small cubes and packaged) We ordered our prime rib done medium. It came out pretty close to room temperature and was overcooked and tough and virtually no pink with 1/3 of the 14 ounces cut, fat and inedible. If I had to guess, it had been microwaved. The mashed potatoes were tasteless. Desert nothing special. Basically a cupcake brownie with ice cream on top. My wife had 1 cocktail and I had a couple of beers. Our bill was over 200 with a generous tip. Save your money and go to Tony's of Cincinnati or Ruth's Chris. Won't be back!

Lisa L.

Yelp
Went to happy hour and was quite disappointed. Slow (but friendly) service. Dirty martini was not made right. Prime rib sliders were overcooked. They were out of horseradish. Not what I'd expect from Chart House.

Yelp
Time for an update...it's been awhile. I was reminded of this last night at a Yelp event where they asked us to do a thankful Thursday for a favorite business and I wrote to Chart House. It's like an old friend that you're comfortable with (at least for me). If my refrig is empty, no problem. Close enough to walk. Actually it would be laughable for me to drive down! And that's good, cause on those times I throw caution to the winds and have that one drink over my self imposed limit, I can!!! Tina (aka Lisa ... lol) always takes good care of me at the bar. I love to sit at the bar...but sometimes it's full cause they have a killer happy hour. But if that happens I just find a table. Their happy hour always has a great turn out. And I love moving around the menu. Still have to try the new Brie appetizer. Menu changes with seasons. And I meet the best people here! There's one woman who comes every Thursday and we have great talks. Met another great friend here, but she moved back to New York and that made me sad. And that's all I'm gonna say for now... The view is one of the best in town because it's right on the river. In warmer weather you can even sit outside. And it's great for groups...I've brought several here in the time I've been in the area. Hope you've had the chance to visit here. If not, you need to make that happen. Soon. And I'll be at the bar.

Yelp
Not sure how this is considered fine dining. Experience was disappointing from service to food. Server waiting until we had to flag him down (and a few people got up to get a drink at the bar) before taking drink and appetizer orders. Appetizers didn't come out all together, and we had to flag him down again to see where one was. Food was kinda gross... everything was sooo dried out and chewy... even for the restaurant being 1/4 full and waiting about 60 minutes for our entrees. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Yelp
I had never been to a Chart House, so I wanted to check one out. This one is situated right in the Ohio River with a great view of downtown Cincinnati. We had a 7:30 reservation, arrived on time and were asked to wait 10 minutes for our table. When we were sat, we got a cramped table right i top of other tables when a two top right on the window was open, and remained open our entire meal. Our server was great, but he was hampered by a bar that was too slow. Our appetizer arrived before our drinks. The food was ok, not great. My swordfish was small, only came with a garlic mash. I needed to stop at Frisch's later in the night because I was still hungry. The macadamia nut crusted mahi was pretty good. All in all, it was an ok experience, i would not go back though.

Yelp
Had dinner here during Cincinnati Restaurant Week. Amazing clam chowder. Salmon and shrimp were delicious. Key lime pie was the topper for me while he had Ny medallions and cheesecake. Service was ok, we sat outside and I think we were forgotten at first. We also didn't get a serving of bread before our meal, not sure why. View of river and downtown Cincy is beautiful!

Yelp
Service was great. Seafood was cooked perfectly, so hard to find. Prices were ok, it is certainly an upscale type.

Yelp
We went to Chart House with a group from our old neighborhood. It was a weeknight so not so busy and we could talk and catch up. Service was excellent and the waitress saw that we were all "catching up" and had us flag her when we needed drinks or to order. Food is on the pricey side but the food was delicious. I had blackened salmon with green beans (yum) and a side order of sticky rice, and the crème brûlée. The ambiance is cozy. My ONLY complaint was that it was so very chilly. In all fairness, it was a very cold/windy day. We were seated at a corner window table. However, there was no cold air emanating from the panes - they were room temperature to touch. There were baseboard radiators but no heat being emitted. We mentioned it twice to the waitress but it remained uncomfortably chilly the entire time. Some of us had to keep our coats and jackets over our shoulders. It is hard to fully enjoy any meal when shivering with a winter coat draped over me. This is my reason for a 4-star rating.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Happy hour has a great price on food in the food is absolutely amazing. Service I'm not sure about but you pay for what you get however, the food is the bomb.

Yelp
My husband and I visited The Chart House for the first time today. We had reservations and were seated within ten minutes of our reserved time. It was Christmas Day so they had a very limited menu in which we could order from. They had a three course offering. Soup or salad, a main course, and a dessert. Due to some aggressive cancer treatment my husband has difficulty eating many foods but can eat shrimp. Unfortunately one of the shrimp dishes came with scallops, and the other came with muscles and clams. He asked if either did could only be shrimp but was told, no substitutions. He ordered the pasta with the shrimp, muscles, and clams. He ordered a chopped salad and cheesecake but they were out. I ordered the filet migon, a Caesar salad, and lava cake I was surprised that both of our salads looked like the lettuces were old. Neither seemed to be very fresh. My steak was ok, nothing special. The mashed potatoes served with the meal were quite good and the kava cake was yummy. I'm glad we went as the view was wonderful and it was Christmas, but I've had better meals from much cheaper establishments. For almost $180 for two, I expected better quality food.

Lawrence T.

Yelp
Compared to Chart House restaurants on either coast, this one leaves much to be desired. Overcooked steak, very slow service, emotionally stiff staff, but excellent swordfish served next to a very polluted river
google avatar

Monica A.

Yelp
Found a hidden gem. Beautiful view comfortable and elegant dining room. Our server Larman was so helpful and attentive. The manager Amanda checked in with all the tables. Now the food OMG! tasty extreme! We had one of the best lobster bisque s ever. Oysters, crab stuffed shrimp and lobster tails. Everything was delicious. If you want to "treat yourself" this is the place.
google avatar

Maddie S.

Yelp
My family and I went here for dinner on Christmas Eve last year, and we did not have a good time. The service was ridiculously slow. The restaurant wasn't anywhere close to full, and yet it took us an hour to get our food every time we ordered! Even for our appetizers, which were just salads and soups. The food itself was subpar. My brother's steak came out raw and he didn't even notice at first because of how dark it was in the restaurant. My lobster tails were just ordinary - nothing special about them, like seasonings or a combination. Just two cooked lobster tails. They also didn't have any vegetarian options for my sister. And the chocolate dessert I ordered was super hard and way too bitter. The worst part was, they charged us $100 per person for their special holiday menu. Between the 5 of us, that means we paid $500 for a subpar dinner. And we couldn't order other dishes because this was the only menu they were serving that night. The only redeeming part of our experience was that our waitress seemed friendly and was very polite and professional. We won't be coming back this Christmas Eve.

Yelp
Went out for a birthday dinner. Service was fantastic. The manager and Dan were very welcoming and friendly. The manager even noticed one of our party members leave towards the end of our meal after the restaurant had locked their doors for closing and came to check on our table to make sure they knew to look for him if he intended to come back. The lemon herb crusted salmon was very good. It was had a mustard seed sauce that wasn't too strong and there was a good crunch from the breadcrumbs. The salmon seemed slightly undercooked but texture wise still tasted alright and I didn't get any stomach issues afterwards. The mashed potatoes were fantastic. They had chunks of potatoes in it along with bits of potato skin and pieces of sweet potato chips that came together for a nice overall texture. The halibut was very good as I was told. As part of our dessert, we got a strawberry cheesecake that was very good. And that's saying something since I usually don't like it. It had a good amount of strawberry topping, good crust, and it wasn't overbearingly cream cheese-y.

Yelp
Dined here for dinner on Sunday 10/15/23... the food and service was amazing. My Aunt had a seafood dish which she loved, I had some tasty vegan dishes. The Manager offered to heat fresh oil just so my order of French fries wasn't cross contaminated with anything non vegan....Really went above and beyond (even for a side of fries!!) The Chef who prepared the food delivered some of our dishes confirming they were vegan. Thanks for the wonderful food and service Chef Rob, our waitress Manda/Mandy, and the manager. It was such a nice dinner thanks to all of you, appreciate your hard work and service. P.S. The restaurant was beautiful inside with amazing views of the river.

Yelp
Food was amazing and the service was excellent. The shrimp cocktail was fresh! The appetizer I had was shrimp beignets and they were amazing!!!!! The Rockefeller oysters were not the best. I can't describe the taste, but I love those type of oysters and that was not to my liking at all. Overall great experience. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We were here on a Wednesday evening, when we arrive, it's pretty early like 5:15 pm, most people sitting around the bar area. I requested a window seat, the waiter is very nice, we actually got the best indoor seat in the house, table 41! We ordered a dozen oyster, and i had halibut and husband had steak, both are pretty good, husband is very happy with his steak, oh, he also had their chowder, i tasted it, very delicious! I think this restaurant is under rated on yelp. I also had their mini lava cake, so beautiful and delicious! Even the mango virgin mojito is great! I'm happy with our choice!

Yelp
Went to dinner with our friends for their anniversary. We were excited and had never been here before. The view is beautiful and the service was great. Our server L was amazing! He answered all of our questions, made some suggestions, and made us laugh. He was awesome!!! The food on the other hand was a little disappointing. My husband and our friend each had prime rib (two different sizes that looked like the same size ). They each said it was good, but not great. Not a lot of flavor. I had the herb roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes (basically steak fries/potato wedges) and roasted red peppers with whole garlic cloves. It also had some olives I didn't eat. I was really disappointed in the flavor...or lack of flavor. It basically had no seasoning or flavor. Our other friend had the coconut crispy shrimp. She said it was a little greasy. She really liked the rice and a couple of the sauces. Our appetizer was the shrimp beignets...they were good. We got 5 (if I remember correctly) balls which were like doughy hushpuppies. They were decent. My husband ordered the watermelon salad (which was $13 extra) and it was not good. No one at our table liked it. The "croutons" were gross. We tried the asian green beans. They were ok. Overall, I feel like dinner was overpriced for mediocre food. I expect better flavor for that price point.

Yelp
We came in late on Tuesday night and our server named L was next level. Extremely polite, kind and explained the menu quite well. He was very personable and genuine. Made for a really memorable experience. The food was very good, too.

Yelp
Great service for our large group, Reservations made it easy to get quick service for our out-of-town guest. We went with a variety of dinners from seafood to their steak and everyone thought it was great. Service and preparation were stellar, and the beautiful scenery of the Ohio River made for a special evening.

Cindy H.

Yelp
I'm an out of towner and visiting from Charleston. Chart House, if you see this, open one in Charleston please! Views of downtown were amazing. Food was top notch and I'm kind of critical when it comes to food. The tomato ricotta salad I could have had 2 of and been a happy girl at just that. The maca nut fish and the halibut-artichoke were our mains both no complaints at all. The place felt a little empty, but it was a Sunday. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
What a great evening I had here! My husband and I made a reservation for dinner on Tuesday evening before heading to a show at the Arnoff and it was wonderful! We ordered the shrimp cocktail which was great. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Paneed which was fabulous and my husband seemed to enjoy the swordfish. I highly recommend ordering the chocolate lava cake for dessert as well. We ordered the small version and wish we ordered the large! Our server Lisa was very kind and the gentleman at the hostess stand was the definition of hospitality! We will definitely visit again when picking a spot for date night.
google avatar

Linda O.

Yelp
Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was fabulous!! It was hands down the BEST filet mignon I've ever eaten!! I added butter blue cheese on top, and it was worth every calorie!! The Asian green beans added were delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic!! Highly recommend this restaurant!! Don't skip on the chocolate lava cake for dessert!!

Yelp
We went to the chart house for the first time. I have to say it was very very good enjoyed the meal, service, and the view. My wife had the snapper hemingway which she said was deliciously prepared and presented well. I had the ribeye which was also, very very good presented and prepared well. I liked the view of the river it was great for a saturday evening. Everything, looked and tasted great. Bread was very good warm. I hadn't any complaints at all.

Julianne H.

Yelp
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with chart house. Nothing was terrible but I think many of the menu items are overpriced for the quality of the food. I got the scallops and shrimp which were just alright, but for $46 I expected much higher quality. The scallops were not the best I've ever had, the shrimp was alright, i will admit the truffle foam was pretty good and the saving grace of this dish. However, the garlic roasted mushrooms and the fontina polenta was just not for me. My boyfriend go the roasted duck, which he said was alright but not great. Again, for $49 it should be amazing and not just alright. The best part of this meal was definitely the calamari and the hot chocolate lava cake. The calamari was great, supper crispy, tasty sauce, and fried vegetables all go together to make a great dish. The lava cake again was great and fresh baked. We sat in the bar area, which I normally don't expect the same level of service as the main dining area. Our waitress was good, not super attentive, but she was very busy running the bar as well and did a great job considering how many people she was serving at once, no complaints about this whatsoever. My issue mainly came with the timing of courses, which I do not think is the fault of our waitress. Our appetizer came out quick, but it seemed we were waiting about 25 minutes until our entrees came out and then another 10-15 minutes for our lava cake. I'm not sure why this happened considering we placed our food and dessert order 5 minutes after our appetizer order.

Yelp
I wanted to update the community with the new happy hour menu. I love the atmosphere here. Happy hour is terrific. We had the spinach artichoke dip and I feel that the recipe has changed. It needs more flavor, maybe more cheese? The sliders and fish tacos are wonderful as always. Looking forward to trying the sizzling shellfish skillet in the future.

Yelp
3 Months ago I gave a stellar review regarding the Chart House. On that visit service was top notch the best I have had since before Covid. Early Bird menu was great, A Manager visited our table. I followed it up with a visit with 16 of my friends and again EVERYTHING was amazing! We arrived Monday 8-9-23 at around 615 with no reservation. The bar was hopping, dining room with a few tables. I spotted the manager assisting and another man running food. We were seated by a gracious host by the window. We waited and no acknowledgement for several minutes. The waiter approaches we ask about early bird dinner and he has no idea. First he checks the kitchen, then a fellow waiter and finally locates a manager and returns with menus for early bird and explains it's 5-630. I looked at the time it was 633pm after we ordered. This review has been UPDATED! Everybody has an off night. We will give CH another shot. We love the location and the menu.

Todd G.

Yelp
Opinions vary, but imo the best seafood you can get in the area. It isn't cheap, but is worth it when you want to splurge. LOVE their scallops! The view makes the experience even better.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
L was our server and he was 10\10. So sweet and accommodating for our birthday celebration. Speedy and efficient and his recommendations were a hit with our group. We will be back!

Yelp
We had a lovely evening! Good food, good service, and a good view. We started with the shrimp beignets which were savory and rich. Next was the spinach salad which I highly recommend. The warm bacon dressing was the perfect dressing. For the main dish I ordered the Snapper Hemingway. This dish was really good. For dessert I ordered the Hot Chocolate Lava Cake, this dessert is life changing.

Yelp
Crab cake for shareable it says on menu for 21.50 u got one crab cake. 10 oz. Ribeye steak what's left in the picture is all fat. Over priced and slow service not quality food do not recommend

Yelp
Service was absolutely TERRIBLE- but the food was amazing!!!! We arrived a little after 5pm and it was pretty much empty as they just opened. There was another party in front of us. The hostess acted like we were bothering her by coming to the restaurant. Both of us stood in the entrance area for almost 10 minutes (no one else came in behind us). The hostess asked a server to sit the first party because she was so "busy". A few minute go by and she sits us out on the patio. The view was spectacular. Took a bit for our server to come to our table. He puts our plates and silverware right in the middle of the table like this is a bother to him and for us to set our own table and took our drink order. Took 20 minutes to get a beer and glass of wine (with the restaurant being barely filled). I asked if there were any specials. He said no but the trout was new and made Asian style so if you like Asian than order that. He said nothing about the entrees. We ordered the buratta and prosciutto appetizer- which was AMAZING! There wasn't a salt shaker on the table and our server rarely came and checked on us but we were able to get another servers attention and she was lovely enough to take care of us. Ed ordered the NY strip and I had the snapper Hemingway. Both were outstanding!!! The restaurant is a higher scale and the food prices go along with that. The price of the food was not a problem at all but the service is just unacceptable!

Went here for 29th wedding anniversary on a Sunday evening after a tragic Bengals loss. We were greeted at the front door with a bubbly hostess with a bright smile. Promptly seated at a window table-could be considered one of the best seats in the house, in my opinion, overlooking the river, downtown, and Mt Adams. Our server was "L" and he was the best. Very knowledgeable about the menu, and was very attentive to our needs without hovering over us. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and I had the Swordfish. Large portions, perfectly cooked and presented. All in all it was a great evening at The Chart House Cincinnati.
