Decided to go to Chart house prime to have some dinner, and maybe a view of the water. We were told by the host when we walked in that there were no tables available, but the bar seating was open. I looked, and there were a bunch of restaurant tables available, but maybe no staff to wait on them?? We decided to sit at the bar area and get some dinner. Not my ideal choice, but if nothing else is available, then I'm ok with the bar. I did find it a little odd that there was a DJ playing club music in a nice restaurant, loud enough for the entire place to hear it. No big deal though. We sat down, and after 25 minutes of waiting, I went to the bar to ask if a waiter was available, or if I needed to order at the bar. I stood there for at least five minutes while multiple bartenders walked past me, without acknowledging me. I finally had to go to the other end of the bar and chase down a bartender to get some assistance. I was told that they would be right with us. The bartender finally came over and took our drink order. It was a little frustrating because we were seated directly across from the bar. The bartenders looked at us multiple times, and multiple waiters walked by, but no one ever acknowledged us. After our drink order was taken, one of the same waiters that walked past us multiple times without acknowledging us, came and took our order. The bartender brought us our adult beverages, but after waiting another ten minutes, I had to go to the bar and ask for my soda, which was in the order I placed with the waiter. I ordered the wedge salad, with blackened ahi tuna. My wife ordered a salad, with a filet. The food came, and was delicious. Our drinks were also very good. I was very disappointed with the service. Not that we spent a lot of money, but $200 for a lite dinner with drinks, I'd expect at least someone to greet us after sitting down, and maybe remember to bring my soda after ordering. Don't make me go to the bar and get it myself. The location and ambiance was nice, but the service was subpar.
