Homey atmosphere with nick-nacks on the walls. Wait staff very friendly and offer suggestions. Nice selections on the menu for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Adequate portions, won't leave you stuffed or hungry. Pastry items await you at checkout to take home. I had the Southern Benedict with fruit cup instead of homefries. Just needed a bit of salt to enhance the flavor. Fruit cup contained, cantaloupe and pineapple pieces, just enough. Definitely will return when back in the area.

This was such a cute spot! Service was quick. Food was delish! I had the Southern eggs benedict with homefries and mango boba green tea. 10/10 - we'll be back!

A typical, fun, local diner. Excellent breakfast menu and bakery. Amy was our server, fast, efficient, friendly. Denver omelet and two egg breakfast. Home fries with peppers and onions was a treat. Coffee was tasty and hot. A really nice meal. And, muffins for tomorrow's breakfast.

I stumbled into this spot while on a mini vacation in the area, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise that we came back two days in a row! The Brooklyn Bliss Special—a pastrami, Swiss, and egg sandwich—was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. You can tell they use quality ingredients and care about what they’re serving. The coffee was also surprisingly great—better than what I’ve had at most diner-style places. And to top it off, the service is absolutely top-notch—friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Definitely a place I’d go out of my way to visit again!

Discovered a hidden gem! After being turned away from nearby fancy brunches places on Labor Day with 2-3 hour waits, we headed over to Chat and Chew and were seated in well under an hour as promised by their lovely hostess/manager (she quoted 40 minutes on the phone, and had us seated no joke, 37 minutes later, including the 15 minute drive time to get there). This place was a well oiled machine- every server, line cook, etc constantly moving and getting the food out with a smile. I haven't had service this efficient and kind and lovely in ages! And- the food hit the spot- everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

My husband and I came to Jim Thorpe for a weekend getaway. Not knowing the area, we relied on reading reviews to point us in the right direction for breakfast. Holy cow, were we impressed with our experience here! We actually came back again at the end of our trip! The food was outrageous, the service was wonderful, AND we were offered coffee to go on our way out the door! That made a huge impression. They had great coffee, and I've never been offered coffee to go at the end of my meal!! My husband and I recommend the Chat-N-Chew Cafe 100%!!!

Got the messy breakfast burrito and it lived up to its name. It was also pretty big and stuffed with steak, eggs, cheese, and potatoes. What made it messy was it was topped with sour cream and salsa, so you're probably not picking this up with your hands. Kept me full most of the day and service was pretty good too. Would definitely return when in the area.

I was in the mood for pancakes; had been craving it. We decided to go to this establishment as it had been recommended by some locals. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by friendly staff. We were bought to our seat right away. There were booths and tables all around with a visible kitchen. The table was well stocked with condiments and a roll of paper towels, nicely displayed. We order a short stack of pancakes egg over easy, bacon, home fries, and pork roll which reminds me of Canadian bacon. The eggs were perfectly made, bacon crispy and I actually enjoyed tasting the pork roll. To my disappointment however, the pancakes was a fail. I literally took one bite. It tasted like frozen under cooked pancake from a no name brand. The nice waitress offer to have the chef "cook it some more" but I do not believe that would have helped. Other than the pancakes, we enjoyed everything. I wouldn't mind returning and if I do, I will stick to what I believe to be their speciality; eggs, potatoes and breakfast meat. Oh! the coffee was pretty good but a bit pricey at over $3 for a cup.

Visiting from Texas and saw this place. The food was great and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite to eat.

Wow, right it my backyard and I just tried it this weekend. The food was hot fresh and quick. I loved the costumes for Halloween! Great prices and just a friendly service and atmosphere! Won't be my last time!

Checked out the mammoth $17.50 breakfast sandwich from Chat N Chew in Blakeslee, PA a few days ago. The "Belly Buster Messy Mike" came with country fried steak, bacon, sausage gravy, two eggs, home fries, and cheddar on a Kaiser. Bruh... The flavor of the sandwich was very good. Sometimes with that many things competing on your palette it doesn't work, but this did. It's not just a massive stunt food. Country fried steak was cooked well and the sausage gravy was delicious. If I had anything that I'd recommend, I'd just cook those home fries a tiny bit longer...but that's personal preference. I was able to get through half of this before I waved the white flag. This place is an *excellent* breakfast restaurant and a great value. The coffee is solid, the menu extensive, the portions generous and the food delicious. The wait staff is perfectly attentive and the atmosphere relaxed and homey. Highly recommended, can't wait to come back with friends and family.

Went for breakfast. Place was busy but lots of empty booths. There were 3 other families waiting. We waited too. No one even raised there eyes to acknowledge us nothing. Guess they don't need my business. If they don't even acknowledge you, what are they serving you?

This has been the best breakfast i have had in a while. the food was out very very quickly, and there was barely any wait time, even though it was labor day. this place is so homey and the shirts are hillarious.

Food is great, The waitress Davini Was a doll. Extremely welcoming and professional. Food came out fast, But when the bill came, they charged the six dollars for one pancake with chocolate chips. It did not show on the menu what one pancake would cost, and it actually averaged out as the same price if we got short stacks. We also noticed that there's an automatic four dollar charge so they can "offset The cost of using a credit card" Which is absolutely ridiculous because everywhere we go or have went only require that at least $10 is spent and no fees would be added to your card. This is a clear cash grab, And honestly, extremely unprofessional and disgusting. Imagine if they have 200 customers coming in today times that by four that's $800 In one day. Times that by Let's say six days a week, That's $4800 a week. Let's say $4800 a week times four, that's 19, 200 a MONTH!! This is a hustle and I work too damn hard to just get charged for no reason. I told the waitress about my concerns, she was again extremely kind and said she would speak to the manager, which I believe may also be the owner, Don't quote me. The manager was seen yelling at the waitress from a not too far distance by my eldest daughter and was heard saying " Maybe if they just looked at the menu instead of complaining" A few minutes later, the manager walks up to us Really jazzed up coming off like she drank 12 cups of coffee In a matter of an hour. Her responses were very sarcastic and dismissive, And attempted to make us appear As if we were trying to get some sort of discount without actually saying it. As a pro Latino male, Seeing how this all white staff or customers, And white manager or owner And how they treated this young black queen, Was heartbreaking. She told her she had a child and needed to make a living, but she could see that she wasn't really happy. I get this place may be a local favorite, But for me and my wife and kids to be staying at split rock resort in Lake Harmony for my 50th birthday, And this being my 50th breakfast gathering, It was a huge letdown and I would never ever return and I would encourage others to have them stop Adding four dollars to every customer's check. We're gonna add a picture of our bill and you could see it makes no sense.

Food is really good and hot and satisfying.The staff is friendly and always make sure your needs are satisfied. The place is clean and has a really old style diner atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

Visiting the area for a girls getaway. We popped into Chat and Chew for breakfast. We were promptly seated and told about the specials on the board. Jack was great. He has a great demeanor and is a fun chat. Breakfast was delicious. The special, Barbacoa Benedict was a great alternative to the norm. Absolutely yummy! The coffee was always full, the food was great. This is a place where the locals go, and there is a reason. It's a great meal that doesn't break the bank.

Original founders have sold the business to one of the reliable and hardworking staff folks. Always a smile, hustle for those refills, and keeping the regulars happy. One a recent visit, I had the pork roll, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser and it was absolutely perfect. Eggs over medium just a bit runny. Rolls are lightly toasted on the grill. Generous amount of pork roll and this time provolone cheese. Just the best. Fun snarky pictures on the wall always gets a grin.

My fiancé and I happened to stumble across this place while looking for breakfast nearby. On first appearance, we weren't sure how this place would be. But, the food was awesome. Like 10/10. Haven't had breakfast this good in a while from a restaurant. Felt very authentic, not microwaved eggs like most places nowadays. Service was nice and quick. Coffee was pretty good, too. There is a surcharge on card payments so make sure to bring cash. Will definitely come back!

Great Food. Great Service. My cousin wasn't happy with her food so they did everything to accommodate her. The atmosphere is very eye-catching yet so simple. I had the Patty Melt and it was cooked great but it did lack a little seasoning. If the seasoning was better easily a 5 star gem.

The food was delicious! The salads were very fresh and amazing! The philly cheese steak was worth the wait. The mop was Cheesy and loaded with meat and my fav, mushroom and pepper. The wait staff was super friendly and willing to make recommendations when asked. Love the decor too! All around great experience for a reasonable price. Lots of food for the dollar!!! Definitely worth coming back for!!!

Stopped the rig here on the way to Jersey City. Wonderful breakfast! First things first: There's plenty of parking in the mall lot and a mown field to walk the dog. Also, there is a Family Dollar and a supermarket. The grits here are outstanding - cooked firm (or tight) by request, with no graininess - just pillowy soft and absorbent to soak up the butter and yolks. Service was attentive and educational - basted eggs are called "steamed eggs" here - and they steam them perfectly - no snotty whites but the yolks nice and runny - no toughness! It's a pleasure to dine where the most important foods (to me) - grits and eggs - are cooked to perfection. The manager, Vickie was our server and she was fabulous - the entire staff are professional and courteous. The restaurant is clean and the employees are state certified.

I moved out of the area to Colorado about 6 years ago, every time I'm visiting this is a must stop. Consistently great food and great service. Everything comes out hot and pretty quickly. The staff are friendly and there's lots of fun signs and decor to look at while you wait! Overall, yummy food and a great environment to enjoy it.

**COVID EDITION** I was around the area to go snowboarding at Jack Frost and stumbled upon this restaurant. Don't be fooled by it's location - the quality of this restaurant is S-tier. The staff is covid regulated and seated us at a good distance between other customers. We ordered a messy burrito and a messy mike sandwich. Both of which very flavorful and filling. Couldn't finish the whole meal and saved the rest for later (still tastes great microwaved!) Please do note that these meals do have combinations of a lot of heavy food (which I didn't mind at all, I really enjoyed it) just in case for those who are looking for a lighter meal like a salad lol. Would definitely swing by again if I'm ever in the area!

If you're a local or a visitor to Blakeslee, you have to try this downhome, kitschy eatery. Quirky décor with a strong sense of humor, Friendly waitstaff, and a menu that is not the run of the mill like so many others. Breakfast is a must! The lunch menu is also very good but items like the Messy Mike, and some unexpectedly great breakfast specials are the way to go! Great food in a fun environment. You'll know your in the Poconos!

CnC may look like nothing special as a nondescript storefront in a low end shopping center, but don't be fooled by the humble appearance. To start with, CnC took corona precautions by giving out pagers and encouraging patrons that are waiting to go shop elsewhere. The decor says fun, and the staff was friendly. First up was the trendy "hot chocolate bomb," which was actually the bomb. Turns milk blue, makes taste buds happy. The table ordered a gamut of food. Waffles were fluffy and powdery sugared, eggs were locally sourced and cooked to perfection, warm maple was actual maple syrup, corned beef was legit, turkey bacon was better than when I make it, pig bacon was thick, pancakes were light and fluffy, home fries were crispy, and the toast was not over buttered. On the way out, there were funny novelty T shirts for sale, as well as Frog and Gator jam. To sum up- 10 out of 10, will eat there again!

I was up visiting the Mohegan Sun casino and stumbled across this place. The name alone instantly made me hungry. As I was driving through the old fashion plaza I stopped and thought this place may not be that good. Let's talk about putting a foot in my mouth. CUSTOMER SERVICE: From the moment I opened the door to walk in I was greeted with Southern Hospitality even though I wasn't in the south. Absolutely love the staff and I really enjoyed reading the back of the shirts for they're all different and they say the craziest things. FOOD: The food came out extremely fast and hot. We tried the messy Mike's sandwich and OMG it's big enough for two people to eat. If you're ever in the area you must give this place a try and don't forget to read all the quirky things on the wall as you sit down and wait for your hot I'm ready to eat food.

We ordered two sandwiches however we got one sandwich and a platter instead .... They were really busy so I think we will give them another try on a less busy day. However since they are kinda pricey I hope they get it right next time. Cost for belly buster sandwich and big one platter (which is what they gave us instead of the ultimate sandwich we wanted) to go cost $40.00

This place, this place, this place... We just moved (back) to the Poconos, and we are in the process of searching out great spots to try...wow this did not disappoint! We had a short wait, which was fine as they give you a roomy and comfortable waiting area, as well as a beeper. When you go there bring your sense of humor, there are great things to read everywhere! The servers are awesome the menu is great and the food was excellent! Our server was Jack, and he was extremely good, and helpful! We will most definitely be back. I had the country eggs benedict, (two eggs steamed with chicken fried steak on an English muffin top with hollandaise sauce) and my hubby had the messy burrito, with steak, eggs, home fries, jack cheese and chipotle sauce and a soft tortilla top with salsa, we both LOVED every bite ! I can't wait to try more things!

A group of friends, my fiancée and I decided to stop here based on their Yelp rating. We stopped on our way back home from our weekend getaway in the Poconos. At first I did not think it was a sit down restaurant as it was a part of a strip mall but I was glad to discover that it was. The service was good. Nothing over the top but good. The waitress cracked a few jokes here and there and kept it light. There were a few instances where I felt the waitress could have been slightly more attentive with coffee refills etc as it wasn't too busy since it was a Monday morning after 11. Our food did take a little above average time to come out but there were 7 of us so I can definitely understand. The food was amazing. I ordered the belly buster and could only finish half. It was very good and filling. The coffee was delicious as well. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in the area. The rest of my group also loved their dishes as well. I would love to get a sample of the rest if their offerings some time.

Stumbled across this clear local favorite when exploring the area last night for a good breakfast spot. Chat n Chew does not disappoint! Friendly staff, and the coffee is superb! Some of the best home fries I've ever had. Definitely make this a stop if you're ever in the area, you won't regret it! And remember: spooning leads to forking so please use condiments!!

We were in the Poconos for the lantern festival but had a couple of hours to kill beforehand. When searching for a brunch lunch spot, this place popped up as one of the higher rating spots. I won't lie, I almost judged a book by it's cover when we saw the entrance. It looked like some ghetto cheap shop at the front but the minute you walk in, you feel guilty for every misjudgment because this place is happening. Tons of staff, lots of customers and many souvenirs and personalized items around the store. They even have their own little souvenir store in the back where you can pick up a cool black t shirt with some of their funny slogans. The server was extremely nice. The menu had a lot of wonderful options that kept us busy for a while. I decided to go with an omelette - just mozarella mushrooms and tomatoes. It was the juiciest omelette I've ever had! Without it being raw of course. There's just something about it... Nd their home fries were lit! Crispy on the outside, flavor and well cooked on the inside. I'm pretty sure it wasn't because I was hungry but their food was legit. My friends had some of the other dishes and all loved them (I can't remember what they got). Can I say their coffee is also really good? There wasn't a single hint of bitterness or burnt flavor to it. If only all diners could be that good...

Every time that we come down to the Poconos We enjoy so much their Home cooked meals , Great Prices, excellent service . When you visit the Poconos come and Eat here . You will be satisfied.
