Highly recommended!!! Right in the heart of the downtown Napa, it's a beautiful mix of wine 🍷 tasting and chocolates. 🍫. One can even do pairings too! It's part of Buena Vista winery collection. As a club member one can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles or cab. It's nicely decorated and has great ambience!

Fantastic experience! Ali's professionalism and care made our visit exceptional. The champagne was outstanding and ambiance is so fun. Highly recommend!

My friend and I had an amazing experience tasting at Chateau Buena Vista! Ali took care of us, and she was super sweet and inviting. The wine's we tried were delicious and the decor is absolutely beautiful, with so much to look at. They offer a caviar tasting as well as a paired chocolate and wine tasting. The chocolate is to die for, and we ended up going home with some! Definitely check out Chateau Buena Vista if you are visiting Napa.

We had an excellent experience. We did the most basic wine tasting, and added on the chocolate plate. The wines were diverse, and paired well with the chocolates. The best part of our visit was our server, Patti! She was kind, helpful, and told really engaging stories. Very eclectic interiors design. It was fun :)

All I can say is WOW I have never recieved such horrible service and experienced such blatant racism. As a corporate party planner I deal with venues all the time and I have never met staff so rude. I was excited to try this place because the venue looked beautiful and I thought it would be the perfect place for our group to do a tasting. Upon entering there was 8 people at most including the staff. There were 3 staff on the floor, the lady making chocolate and 2 others behind the bar. NO ONE looked up to greet me even though you could clearly hear me walk in and there was no music playing. I proceeded to stand there awkwardly but no one even lifts thier head. I have to walk up to one of them to advise I am here for my reservation. Mind you I called ahead of time to let them know I would be getting there early because I wanted to put out some gifts so they KNEW I was coming. The guy begrudgingly walks me to my space and even though I'm carrying two large boxes and wearing heels not once offers to help. The last straw was once my full party arrives he proceeds to make a short conversation feigning interest in us to save face then pours all 3 wines does a short spiel and leaves us alone pretty much the rest of the evening. It is clear the point they were making. People of color are not welcomed and both the staff and the customers are on the same page. Everywhere else I went in Napa everyone was wonderful polite and friendly so it was not location just this specific venue. Please spend your money somewhere else.

I can’t speak highly enough of the management, service, wine, and chocolates! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and clearly explain each wine and pairing. The warm atmosphere of the staff is enhanced by the uniquely decorated space. Make sure to add this to your stop in Napa!!

Came for the vibe, stayed for Ben! We tried the signature tasting, the chocolate tasting, and splurged on caviar. Every bit of this experience was on point and Ben, our Somalia, was knowledgeable and an amazing storyteller. As someone who doesn't drink wine, I fell in love with this place and most importantly, Ben.

Since we typically try to do more than one tasting per trip, we figured why not try Chateau Buena Vista?! I'm a member of Buena, so I get 4 complimentary tastings per visit. We did have a party of 6, but only 4 were drinking, so the tastings were free. I'm more of a full bodied bold red person, so other than the last pour, I was hoping there would be more reds. They did let us taste the Oakville Cab as well when we went downstairs. We actually ended up getting the Coombsville without tasting it. I believe my friend was looking to taste it but there was a miscommunication and we ended up just buying instead. Glad everyone liked it tho as we corked it at lunch. We sat upstairs and the decor is awesome. Kinda old world bougie with the velvet seating. We were the only ones there so I felt bad that our server kept having to go back and forth. She was the one who suggested we go down to the bar area to sample more wines. I do wish they let you make reservations online for parties of more than 2. I had to email customer service to book. And my group typically changes headcount ALL the time, so I'm that annoying person who reaches out with updates constantly. I'd feel better if I could just change it versus having to email customer service every time. They were more than pleasant and accommodating. The taste of Buena offerings are okay for the price, but as a member, it was a fun stop.

Girls just wanna have fun! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated! The staff were not only welcoming but knowledgeable, guiding us through our selection of bubbly. We elevated our experience with a delightful caviar bump, chips, and chocolates. Opting for a rosé to complement our treats was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. The interior gave a glamorous vibe, with its chic decor and luxurious surroundings. Every corner seemed to whisper tales of celebration and sophistication, making our visit not just enjoyable, but truly memorable. We had an absolute blast and cannot wait to return to this enchanting location.

I may be biased, but we adore Buena Vista! Whenever we're in the Sonoma area, we never miss visiting the winery. However, I've been eager to explore the chateau for some time now. On this occasion, we had a lobster dinner lined up, so our visit had to be brief. We opted for a bottle of their Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine, which was truly superb. The highlight, though, was definitely their chocolates. Each chocolate paired perfectly with the wine - we savored the passionfruit, mint, and berry flavors. Simply amazing! Don't miss out on a visit here during your next leisurely stroll through Napa. Our wine pour attendants were exceptional!

So cute and aesthetic! This one is for the girls and the gays! I loved it here so much, it was adorable and the wine tasting wasn't a bad price at $35 pp. I really enjoyed the wines we tasted and my bestie bought a bottle. The little chocolates were fantastic--the habanero caramel chocolate was the winner for me and the chocolate caramel marshmallow thing was another winner fa me. I would definitely go back with a group of friends!

One of my favorite spots! Love this place they have great tasting sparkling rosé and sparkling brut. The vibe is really chill and it's a cool atmosphere! The host are really personable so the service is good!!

Super cute little place with wonderfully beautiful chocolates and lovely wines. I liked that it was a bit casual so that you could just relax and enjoy the ambiance, wine and chocolate. We did a tasting $40 and chose our own chocolates rather than do the pairing. My fav was the habanero caramel, omg Definitely a place to stop when in Napa.

My sister and brother-in-law are JCB Winery members, so after getting dinner in Downtown Napa we made an impromptu stop at Chateau Buena Vista for some wine tasting. I love the glamourous decor and ambiance inside the shop! I want them to redecorate my place haha. We were there for a good hour. Our wine host was awesome and even gave my brother-in-law an extra glass for no charge. Let's just say, I felt that wine really fast haha good times! Highly recommend this tasting room in Downtown Napa!

We did the Cabernet and chocolate tasting, and it seemed like the perfect outing for Galentine's weekend. There were a couple of pairings that really stood out and I was hoping to take home one of the chocolates, but unfortunately it was sold out. Kind of similar to other reviews though, I felt one of the women working there kept a stern watchful eye on us since we were feeling a bit giggly after some wine drinking. In no way were we sloppy though. Also, she called out to us in a stern tone about having to pay when we got up to look at the chocolates, as if we were going to dine and dash. I thought maybe I was imagining things, but after reading other reviews, I don't think I was. I still give this place 4 stars for the pairing (though a bit pricey for what you get in my opinion) and decor. The decor was right up my alley - I love pink and leopard print! Plus, the tasting room is in a nice location with plenty of places to eat nearby and free all day parking nearby if you go on a Sunday.

We love coming to Buena Vista for wine tasting and their delicious chocolates. The first experience we had was such a pleasant one that we've been back at least 4 or 5 times. The ambiance and decor are cute and great for photo ops. The ladies that work there are always very sweet and kind to us. Today, on the other hand, was a little different. We were a party of 4, and Emily served us our wine. She wasn't very friendly and was actually a little moody when she was speaking to my partner. She let us settle in and enjoy the bottle of wine and chocolates that we ordered. Then she came back super friendly. It was like a weird, eerie switch that had happened. We soon realized it was because she was trying to sell us a membership. She became lively and extremely friendly, chatting it up like she really liked us. She was selling it pretty well because we were all considering splitting the membership. But we live far from Napa, so we were still deciding if it would be worth it for us. Once we asked for the bill and said we would wait and still think about joining, the switch happened again. She became very cold and was even very rude. It felt like she was super annoyed with us, and her energy was nasty. We were taking a few more pictures on the staircase before we left, and she angrily charged in between us twice without saying, "Excuse me." And when we left, she angrily glared at us without even saying bye or thanking us for coming in. That switch when she didn't get what she wanted was very uncomfortable. We like stopping by this place every time we come to Napa, but we'll probably pass if Emily is working. Would've been a 5 star review if only Emily was nice to us.

I have to admit that I fell for the instagram advertising! I saw this shortly before heading to Napa and HAD to check it out. It looked super cute and so my two friends and I signed up for the chocolate and Cabernet Sauvignon pairing. Let's just say that reality didn't live up the gram... The woman helping us set the bar low by saying she knew the some of the wines were a hard sell. It was also a weird format because she described everything before we tasted anything and then left us to do our own thing. The woman who makes the chocolates also explained the chocolate to us and was at least enthusiastic and passionate about it, unlike the plan explaining the wines. The best of the wines was just okay. One was soook bad. The chocolate was fine but nothing out of this world. It was one of the most expensive tastings we did and by far the worst quality. Plus, the setting is so weird with mannequins everywhere! Leave this one to the influencers...

We stepped in to this extremely eclectic chateau for the chocolates, however... we were persuaded to enjoy a unique and wonderful French rose champagne. It was so refreshing to have a French champagne here in Napa. We have been drinking so much Napa wine and sparkling wine. This place was so fun and different then anything we have visited while here in Napa... Located I. The downtown area. Our tasting expert, Emily was so incredibly gracious with us... We bought the bottle and enjoyed every last drop.... We highly recommend you pop in, the chocolates are so gorgeous and delicious. They sell great wines and champagne and ship everywhere... We loved loved loved it...

Me again, I had to stop by Anthropology to pick up a dress for an event. Chateau Buena Vista is literally 2 doors over. Of course I popped in and had a tasting of delicious sparkling brut rose and the must have Earth and Sky chocolate to go with. As luck would have it, they were offering the most delectable charcuterie boards. Imagine! I decided to sit on the first level mid Chateau and take it all in. It was such a vibe! I met two absolutely gorgeous sister's visiting from Malaysia, we had the best conversation and plan to meet here again! Business was bustling! What a treat to see the expressions of those who first enter and experience the absolute beauty of the space. It was Emily? and Mary working. If I had the experience I would have totally offered to pitch in. They we're managing the crowd expertly and with the light and happy energy of persons happy to provide the service of pouring delicious adult beverages, caviar and chocolate. I finally broke down and became a member. Clearly this is a space I enjoy and will benefit from all membership perks.

My friend found this spot on IG & decided to throw her bday there. The ambiance is a mixture of cute & tacky. Kind of like going through your quirky old grandmas closet. Originally there was a party of 8 of us, one cancelled last minute & one was pregnant so she wouldn't be doing the tasting. I was the first to arrive at about 1130am & this middle aged white woman & younger woman were at the front. The white woman looked at me as if I were a nuisance & finally after I walked forward she greeted me with an annoyed tone. I told her I was there for a reservation & she said that I could wait downstairs for the rest of our party who were still parking. She already was giving off weird vibes but it was my friends bday so I didn't want to make it awkward. We were shown upstairs & the host noticed there were too many glass settings. My friend, who's bday it was, explained that one person was pregnant so she wouldn't be drinking (she had already mentioned this when making the reservation) & another cancelled last minute. The white lady chastised us like we were children & said that we needed to call ahead because she went through the trouble to put together 3 tables when she could've put together 2. She made a hand gesture to the rest of the room like it was a huge inconvenience when literally we were the ONLY guests in the entire building. We were a table of Black & Brown women & all of us felt uncomfortable at that moment. We went on with our tasting & some of us ordered chocolates for the wine pairing. Not long after receiving our chocolates the white woman came back asking who was going to pay for the chocolates since it was separate from the tasting price. It was almost as if she expected us to dine & dash. Mind you, this is a table full of professional, well paid, grown women not 14 year old girls. As for the wines, I found them all to be extremely alcoholic & heavy handed. Even their Chardonnay is 14.5% alcohol. No finesse or elegance to speak of. As a former worker in the wine industry, I asked about the appellations these wines came from & was curious about the terroir. The host said her company didn't give them much information so there was literally no educational value when it came to our experience. Not only was our host prejudiced & rude she also was uneducated about the products. Clearly this person is in the wrong field. I would definitely not come here again. From the borderline racist host to the crappy wine it really wasn't worth our time or money.

This is such a beautiful place! The chocolates, the decor, the WINE!!! The service is amazing... they're so friendly and attentive, made our visit so perfect! If you like chocolate and wine and you're in Napa Valley... this is the spot!

This place is SUPER cute. Located in downtown Napa - a great place to grab a few glasses with your girlfriends. Modern / Chic vibes and photo opportunities for the gram. The service was awesome. There's also a chocolate shop you can purchase to go with your wine pairings. I would definitely go back again.

Best wine bar in Napa. They explain the wine so well for people that don't know all the terminology. They are very patient and answer any and all questions no matter how basic. Also... VETERANS GET A FREE TASTING. The wine was fantastic and the service was even better. The ambiance was very much a girly vibe but i was not mad at it. It was not overwhelming at all. Highly recommend

The experience here at Chateau Buena Vista was our first stop upon arriving in Napa, and it was transformative. The staff was beyond inviting and hospitable and kind as we walked in for happy hour. They spent diligent time and had amazing expertise explaining all the tastings and chocolate pairings. The suggestions were perfect. The chocolate was some of the best we have ever tasted in our lives, truly next level combinations such as the lime citrus, lemon chiffon, and peanut butter and jelly. The chocolatier even provided special samples of additional treats she hand makes. The chocolates take three days to paint. They are exquisite. I did a bubbly flight and was able to add on paired chocolates. My husband did the cab and chocolate pairing. He is not even a chocolate fan but is now a convert. Truly an exceptional, once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. Don't skip this. The ambiance is classy and fun and the perfect way to start a Napa experience.

The best tasting room in downtown Napa. It's a cozy and beautiful spot to relax. They have top rated Champagne, Wine and Chocolates. The service is unbeatable. Pop in for a glass of bubbles.

My girls and I had the best Sunday Funday! 1. The customer service was 10/10. Our server and everyone we came in contact with was super welcoming and so nice! 2. We decided against flights and tasting because for the price it was more reasonable to order two different bottles of Rosè. Great idea! 3. My only con would be that they do not serve charcuterie or any other snacks, so def eat before you go. I did however grab some macadamia brittle which was delicious and my girls enjoyed some chocolate Over all a great time and I cannot wait to go back.

Beautiful downtown location. We came in on a Saturday and sat down stairs. This place is a perfect addition to downtown napa. Not only is buena vista an iconic winery you can never go wrong with any of their wines. We had the most amazing server who was super attentive and walked us through all they had to offer. We just got a bottle this time, but will be coming back for their caviar and bubbles tasting.

There was no food here. But the fine chocolates was super good! The server was very attentive. Inside was so classy and relaxing. They also have all kinds of fine chocolates that you can buy.

All my favorite things in one place We enjoyed our host Mary as she made our time educational & shared her knowledge with us. Worst experience ever. Emily is rude and acted like our friend group didn't belong. We had a group of 12 girls. One half went to wine girl and the other half went to Buena Vista. The wine girl group met up with the buena vista group and the moment we walked in the bar to head up stairs Emily stopped us and wouldn't let us upstairs. We let her know we were meeting our friend group upstairs and she replied "I don't think so. The only people up there is couples and a small group." Exactly Emily! We are meeting the other small group. She replied "I don't think I have anyone for you upstairs". I had to call one of the girls to come down and grab us. Emily was still rude for absolutely no reason. We didn't come in loud. We were dressed nice and she wanted to act like we didn't belong when we grew up here. It was like the movie Pretty Woman. Never again!!! Shame on you!

Went to this amazing tasting room on Saturday and everything was a 10/10‼‼‼ We arrived very early from our original reservation and EMILY accommodated myself and out of town guest!!! The CAB and Chocolate was sooo good . The vibe was great! Emily made the entire experience rememberable... she was pleasant, funny and just a great host!!! I look forward to coming back . The Chateau is definitely not my vibe. Upon walking in, as beautiful as it is, May the Lord have mercy on me, the greeting was a stiff hello, a stare too long and when we sat down to do a tasting, the sommelier told us there was going to be a private party in an hour. It felt like we weren't welcomed but we came here to check it out and so we stayed for a glass and ultimately, the chocolates from Earth and Sky, which were ethereal, but this review is not for that. The wine tasting was expensive so my friend and I both got a glass each at $25 and chocolates to share. When my pour started, the sommelier told me she had to open another bottle because it wasn't enough. The way she said it made me feel like I was wasting her wine. The whole vibe of the place was just too snooty for me and we stayed because we weren't gonna let some snooty ass women run us out. The place is beautiful but I would never return to give my money to business that thinks it's too good for me.

Attended the Champagne and Caviar tasting and the tasting room is so cute! My friend and I loved the theme and mood! It was my first time tasting the Buena Vista champagnes and I enjoyed the selection. The caviar was flavorful served with cute toasts. Overall great and laid back tasting, perfect to lounge and have good conversation. Will definitely try again!

Yes! yes! yes! a brand new JCB addition to the long line of beautiful tasting rooms, which for me is called a win-win situation. I usually find a way to get to a new JCB tasting room ASAP and this new one did not disappoint. And we got so lucky and found our favorite manager Ali (we love her) who was at Buena Vista in Sonoma and then1881 in Yountville and now here, my wine loving friends and myself were mighty happy about seeing Ali. What a whimsical feel but yet elegant as we know JCB to be lavish and elegant, he always has several gorgeous crystal chandelier's I consider it his trademark. We came on a very lucky day, they had mimosas and pastries extra yum, so we bought a couple three or more bottles lol chatted with folks at the bar and the manager and of course a grand time was had by all. Side note they have in the tasting room a full on gourmet candy counter they were just beautiful tiny works of deliciousness and perfect with champagne. The cutest spot in Napa Valley! We went during our bachelorette party and it was incredible. The service and experience was so amazing. The decor inside is stunning. Our food and wine tasting was delicious! We had our red wine / chocolates combo as well as caviar. Definitely so worth the trip !

Very aesthetic winery with pretty chocolates and great service. Definitely would recommend reserving a tasting ahead of time as their tasting rooms looked very cozy. The chocolate store inside also made for great souvenirs. They had a mix of wine from both Napa and France.

The manager, Ali Madrid, makes the entire tasting process eventful and fun. Her knowledge of the wines and caviar are impeccable, along with a great and knowledgeable staff. Can't go wrong with Cabernet, champagne and caviar. Oh and let's not forget the most excellent assortment of chocolates from Earth and Sky, side by side in the same tasting room!

Chateau Buena Vista is an elegant boutique tasting room with a very cool vibe. Loved the warmth and cool colors. As we enjoyed each of the wines with our gourmet chocolates our hostess educated us on the different wines we tasted. I was very impressed with Mary's knowledge of the varietals, terroir and aging process. Mary even shared some of the history of Buena Vista. If you get a chance to visit see if you can find the alligator with a top hat. I would highly recommend Chateau Buena Vista as a place to visit when in Napa, CA. Salud!

Fabulous staff, excellent service, delicious wine, I love their events if you are a wine member. I would highly recommend the chocolate and wine pairing that they do. Beautiful show room.

If I had a choice I would put no stars. We had reservation for a party celebration. The place was cute and we wanted to see what the hype was about. We shouldn't of walked in. The energy was thick. They all looked at us like "what are they doing here?" No one had approached us to try to assist us in any way. We stood around waiting for help. The one girl at the chocolate counter said to check in at the bar. We checked in with Mary and she said our reservation was only for 6 and since we had more people with us (unexpectedly) she will talk to her manager. She came back and said she can give us the corner section but have to get 6-7 bottles minimum. We wouldn't mind paying the cost but not with the type of service and energy they were giving us. My friend told her that we have to check with everyone first then no one wanted to stay. They said the staff made us feel uncomfortable. We didn't feel welcomed. We didn't feel that we should give money to a place of "a so called business place" that treats their customers that way. Mary made rude comments when we told her we weren't staying for our reservation. She said we were wasting their time and took away from their business. Said they could have given the table of 6 to someone else. But no one was there. Said they loss money because of us. Well they actually could of made money if they were to accommodate all 13 of us for a tasting with the correct professional approach. I do not recommend this place to any one of color. Every one that answered the phone were rude and not helpful. They're snooty snotty with their noses pointed in the air. They won't make you feel welcome. My friend gave Mary some cash cause she mentioned we wasted her time and they should have charged us a cancellation fee for loosing business money. So there goes some money for her time to pay for her business etiquette classes!! Everyone in there was rude and snotty!!

Visited Chateau Buena Vista with my wife for a special occasion and had some of the best Cabernet and chocolate pairings ever! LOVED the decor and atmosphere and our attentive service (Mary especially!) was second to none!! We left with some new favorite wines and plan to return as soon as we return to explore wine country!!!

If you like pink feather boas and velour seats, you will like the decor. The chocolate looks does look pretty. The service is awful, the prices are outrageous and the wine is mid by napa standards.

I love the deco, cute boutique, tasting room in downtown Napa, great location. When we arrived, we were greeted by Mary who asked if we wanted a splash of sparkling wine or a Cabernet, it was a cold day, and so we went with the cab, the poor that Mary gave us was very generous later on, we were greeted, and served by a young man and lady behind the bar who used Coravan to demonstrate, and share some of their other wines that they weren't pouring that day, but because my friend was so inquisitive, wanting to know what wines to pair with what meals, etc. we had one of the best tasting's, which was the end of the Day. I will return.

Chateau Buena Vista is such an awesome experience that we had to become "members". The caviar wine pairing with champagne was such a treat as well as the red wine pairing with diverse chocolates. 3 bottles per quarter minimum with membership also 20% discount on the tasting/champagne/wine. The bar is so relaxing and ambiance is very well thought of. There are other locations and winery's where you can receive discounts after becoming members. Place was great except for the fact that they refuse to return my chanel glasses. Left them on the table to use the bathroom then went missing. Smh

November 20, 2022 we visited Chateau Buena Vista for a Friendsgiving and had the worst experience ever! The manager on duty, treated us horribly, lied about company policy and discriminated against our group. Needless to say it is an experience we will never forget!

My wife and I have had many wine tasting experiences, and the ambiance at Chateau Buena Vista is at the top of our list. Not only do you get knowledgeable and gracious attention from wine tasting expert Mary, there is also a vast assortment of chocolates to choose from to compliment the fine wines you are tasting. We visited Chateau Buena Vista yesterday! We absolutely love the wine and fun vibe! Our Wine Educator was Mary and she did an amazing job! She is very knowledgeable about the wines and history. Her friendly personality will make you want to come back again and again! Cheers to Chateau Buena Vista.

I visit Chateau Buena Vista often, and the reason I do is because they have great sparkling wine, (other wonderful wines too) a very fun atmosphere , not to mention the staff is so warm and friendly. I make it a point to visit the days Mary N. Is working as she makes us feel so comfortable and like she is genuinely happy to see us. If you are in Napa downtown , check out the Chateau and meet Mary and Alli , you won't be sorry.
