Beautifully renovated chateau hotel with park, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, bar and good restaurant. Nice view. Friendly and very professional staff, excellent service. We were lucky to get a wonderful room with old mural paintings and an extra small sitting room. We liked the huge bathroom with a stand-alone bathtub, no shower

If you are in the area and the weather is nice good for a coffee on the terrace or an apperetief. Do take into account appertief only served until 1745. And the wine although good is not necessarily worth the 16 euro (or tea the 8 euro) But the view is lovely

I was lucky enough to stay for two nights at this amazing place. As soon as you walk across the moat and enter the grounds from the carpark it feels like you are transported into another time. Beautifully restored but still capturing the charm that only an 800 year old building can offer! I was ushered into a room on the second floor overlooking the court yard, beautiful old beams and an amazing feel of the old wood lined roof. I drank from silver cups and enjoyed the old oak cupboard nestled behind my bed. All very charming. The bathroom was quaint with a throne toilet and bidet. No shower but a bath, I ended up showering in the pool area after a swim. It was romantic and charming and utterly mesmerising to be there. The gardens were superb, a cherry orchard and vineyards in the distance. I was there in May so the weather was beautiful. I dined in the restaurant the first night with a limited menu which I was disappointed in as I wanted to do the full monty of culinary delights but needed to wait till night 2 where I was blown away by a delightfully entertaining 5 course meal including pigeon, which I had never tried before. The breakfast was a served in the medieval atrium in the centre of the chateau and was a very relaxing experience. There is a spa and pool area which I enjoyed using but spent most of my time either relaxing in the beautifully manicured gardens or enjoying my room which was large and had a sitting area. What can I say that but this is a unique experience that you must try at least once in your life. The staff were very charming and accommodating.

I had the chance to cover a wedding as a photographer few years ago and it's still in my mind. Full French historical experience in this venue with luxury service.

Absolutely amazing place! We came here for my wife's birthday (thanks her for choosing this place) and didn't regret. If you would like to feel the atmosphere of 18th century come here! the garden is amazing! The rooms and decorations are awesome and unique. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Initially you might think that it could be boring but not. we were walking up at 7 to enjoy as much as possible. All the photos made by my wife on spot! The staff is also amazing and helpful!It if worth to say that we were with baby (1.5 years old) and the staff was very kind and provided everything we demended. The food is also very delicious!! total absence of negative :)

Amazing experience. 13 century castle with super authentic rooms, modern spa and superior restaurant. There was few disadvantages (wifi is pretty bad, taking a shower in a castle setup is quite specific), but it's more like a feature then a problem. Need to point to the staff which level was just incredibly high! Apart of the any other services and help, In the evening they are making another room check-up: preparing bed a bit (taking decorating pillows away), bringing some water and box of chocolate and turning one lamp on, that you don't came back in the dark room! Unbelievable!

The perfect place to stop for a couple of days when you are traveling from the south to Paris or vice-versa. Very close to Lyon. The facilities are first-rate: authentic medieval meets modern French high design. We were met at the gate by highly trained, kind and friendly Max who did much to make us feel welcome. The keys to the rooms and the plumbing can be confusing but Max made sure we I understood it all before leaving us in the room with a nice bottle. Through the hotel we booked ebikes. What a great adventure that turned out to be! We enjoyed every single moment on that bike ride and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Chateau. For some reason the dining room was very quiet, like a library! That didn’t suit our American sensibilities so we asked for a table outside (on the lavender path) on our second night. Apparently we weren’t the only ones who preferred more expression at meal times as a lovely lady from Kuwait joined our table. We shared a lovely conversation which made me wish we could have interacted a bit more with our fellow guests. It’s certainly a very interesting looking crowd! Rather than discouraging freewheeling discourse I think everyone would be better served by providing a space to mingle before or after meals. The is no bar per se. On our tour of the beautiful grounds we found a human sized bird cage with a swing inside. My we had fun taking photos with that!

This may be my favorite place ever. It's an amazing hotel dating from the 13th century. It has been fully and painstakingly restored to its original beauty by the current owner. This spectacular chateau still has the original dry moat and a dramatic entrance across a drawbridge. The rooms are spectacular, there are maybe 23 or so. One of them is in the old chapel and the bed is beneath the altar with Renaissance paintings on the ceiling. It is a special thing to have the opportunity to see this chateau. The restaurant is Michelin starred and it's a good thing it is because it's the only game in town. This is a small, small town and there is no place else to go. But, trust me, you won't want to. A glass of champagne on the lawn overlooking the sprawling grassy hills at sunset, a Michelin starred meal, one of the largest fireplaces in Europe, a bathroom with a tub so large two could still drown in it, a bed under an altar, wooden shuttered windows that flap in the lightening storm, you will be forever scheming to return.

Blown away! The property is spectacular and the staff is outstanding! Just out of a story book. A story book from the year 1200. Outdoor pool was magical with fresh fruit to pick from an orchard of a variety of fruits. The kids picked fruit and ran back to the pool and swam. Food and wine was outstanding. The views from the rooms was magical. And it got better. We left keys to our Airbnb in Paris there and they drove them to us at the Lyon train station. 5 star service. Above and beyond. If you wan to make dreams come true and sleep in a castle, then this is a wonderful option.
