Château de la Gaude is undeniably a beautiful property — the grounds and gardens are stunning, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and elegant. We especially enjoyed dining at Le K, which was a highlight of the stay. Fanny, our hostess, was incredibly warm and attentive, taking time to walk us through the restaurants and introduce the facilities. We also appreciated the vineyard tour and seeing the grape harvest in action.
That said, while the property is impressive, the room comfort could be improved. And unfortunately, our experience at checkout left something to be desired — we had hoped to enjoy a bottle of wine we were gifted by the estate indoors, but were only allowed to sit outside in the extreme heat (over 40°C), despite multiple polite requests. For a five-star hotel, that level of inflexibility was disappointing and didn’t quite match the otherwise gracious setting.
Overall a memorable stay, but service consistency could be refined.
