Château Guiraud

A quick visit on our way to Donostia. It was openhouse that weekend so; free entry, tour and tasting. Friendly welcoming hosts. It was great! They gave us an english private tour. Tasting was really good and elegant. There was opportunity to sit outside and enjoy sausage,cheese and oysters!! Unfortunately...we couldn't stay long. All in all a great and nice spot to visit and taste some nice wines.

After trying to visit two wineries that were closed (despite what Google indicated) and struggling to find availability at other places, we luckily stumbled upon this wonderful château. From the moment we arrived, Chiara was warm and welcoming. She made our tasting experience truly special, offering not only excellent wines but also invaluable advice and insights. Thanks to her, what started as a frustrating day turned into a delightful one. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended! Thanks Chiara ❣️❣️❣️

Wonderful experience at Château Guiraud in Sauternes! Louis was a wonderful guide, educating us of the history, wine making process & let us taste some magnificent vintages. Beautiful domaine. Very much worth a visit.

It was a great experience not only because of the solid weight of the story, the incredible complexity of the wines, but the professionalism and great human approach of Louis our guide. Nature and humanity can share the same space in harmony at Guiraud.

All I can say...AMAZING! We arrived at the Chateau after booking a tour but forgetting to confirm for some reason. They were so nice to accommodate us right away. Our tour guide Laurence was a rockstar!!! She was so knowledgeable in terms of explaining all the procedures they do in the vineyards but also in the winery. Then we went into tasting the wines. The Chateau Guiraud Grand Cru Classe 2015 is A GEM!!! Amazing quality/price meaning..buy as long as you can find it, but also the second cuvee Petit Guiraud was super concentrated, balanced and delicious. As a plus we got to taste the dry white they produce cuvee "G". A very interesting wine, fresh and crunchy, definitely very different style compared any Bordeaux blanc produced in the region. If you are a wine nerd you definitely need to taste this wine. Thank you Chateau Guiraud for the hospitality, we will definitely be back when the warm weather comes!

Certainly the most picturesque location and a very informative tour. It was an enjoyable visit and is recommended.

Even the shop was closed they opened the doors and explained the story . Vsry smiling faces explain you the sweet wonderful wine of Sauternes. The city is so small and there is nothing to see but the chateau guiraud deserves to visit. There is a 3 tesla/zoe type2 electrical charger as well.

Lunch in France. What a great experience and a beautiful chateaux in Sauternes. Great way to celebrate our last day of a fantastic vacation.

We had a reservation to visit Chateau Guiraud and it is a beautiful property. The winemaking, history, and beauty of this vineyard is truly satisfying. We've tried 3 wines and our visit will be memorable.

This hidden gem typifies what French countryside is about. The food and dining experience is truly fabulous. And the menu lends itself to an American palette! We cannot wait to come back.
