Fremont’s Inventive Pizza and Dumpling Restaurant Is Closed | Eater Seattle

"Located next door to China Pie, Pomerol is Chef Vuong Loc’s French restaurant that has been around since June 2014; Vuong opened it after selling his Queen Anne restaurant Portage. The business was identified as a sibling to China Pie and, like China Pie, did not respond to requests for comment via Facebook when asked about the other restaurant’s status." - Megan Hill

Another very nice Virginia winery. Very reasonable prices for tasting all 8 of their very good wines

Excellent wines and cheeses. We bought 7 bottles. My favorite was the Green and Royal. I have never had a red like this before at any other winery. It is smooth to start but with a bold and dry finish. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. The signs on the way in are humorous. This place is definitely worth the trip.

A beautiful October afternoon led us to this winery. No disappointments here. Wine, Outside environment and music playing made it an enjoyable afternoon Our dog was warmly welcomed as well!

Fantastic wines and very friendly people. We were lured in by a cute social media post, and we’re very glad we came. Where they deviate from traditional winemaking methods, it’s because of the peculiarities of Virginia’s terroir and climate. The tasting menu skews toward reds, so if you’re a white/sweet drinker, their offerings may not be your first choice. Even if that’s the case, I recommend a visit.

While this place is off the beaten path, it is absolutely worth a visit. The tasting room is quaint, but open. The wine is great. I am always on the lookout for something different. The Schroedinger's Cat is amazing. It is made in the "black Chardonnay" style. I am excited to go back and try the reds!

Everything a winery should be! Their tastings are what tastings used to be where they explain each wine and give you crackers and the glass to keep for only $12. The owner was so kind and sweet and we had such a great and relaxing time. Their wines are very good and affordable. Definitely worth going to if you are in the area.

Quirky fun place with good wine. If you like cats, you're in luck. If you like wine, you're also in luck. Very easy going place, not like other snooty wineries.

If you are adventurous enough to make it down the long gravel driveway through beautiful central Virginia farmland, you will not be disappointed! We were the only guests there and Kenny treated us with such warm hospitality. We did a full wine tasting and chocolate pairing. Each wine was excellent and I learned so much about wine that day. We bought several bottles to take home, as well as a block of perhaps the best cheddar cheese I have ever tasted, shipped in from an Amish farm in PA. Our only disappointment was that the resident cat was off duty that afternoon, but he was fully commemorated through bottle labels and portraits! Highly recommend visiting Chateau MerrillAnne - a perfect afternoon detour from Lake Anna.
