Château Troplong Mondot

Extraordinary visit in this great chateau! 1. Our 1st time joining harvest lunch being served by wine making head! 2. 1st time to drink 7 days harvested grape juice in metal barrel! 3. The eye opening visit of their organic farm raising pigs, chickens and vegetables. We shall come to stay in their hotel next time! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I went on 2 visits one week apart. The first was the 90 minute tour which was informative and delightful. Beautiful views, delicious wines and great hospitality. This wine is great and getting better. The second visit was even more special. They offer a few (appx 20-25) spots per year mostly in June and July where they take you in an antique land rover to a secret spot on their land. They host a wine tasting, where at the end you can either choose your favorite bottle to keep for lunch, or each person can choose a different wine and drink a generous glass of wine. You eat a picnic lunch prepared by their Michelin star chef, looking over an incredible valley, with no cars or people in sight. Incredible!

Hard to judge vs other options in St Emilion but we were super happy with our experience. Beautiful rooms and house although a huge facility. A bit further away from the town so less flow of traffic. We had a great time exploring, using the e bikes and relaxing by the pool. Glad we stayed away from BOD and would definitely come back

Our stay at Troplong Mondot was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by luxury and warm hospitality. The rooms are beautifully designed—spacious, elegant, and full of character. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile and genuine care. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh, generous, and offering plenty of variety. We also had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant (Michelin star) which was excellent. While no fixed wine pairings were offered, the sommelier gave excellent advice, and wines were also available by the glass. During your stay, you can order Troplong’s exquisite wines, along with a cheese board or tapas platter. These can be enjoyed in your room, on your terrace, or in one of the elegant shared spaces. Throughout the day, coffee, tea, and fruit juices are freely available and included in the stay. The picnic and tea time experiences are also highly recommended—they're a wonderful way to enjoy the peaceful setting and excellent local products. Beautifully set among the vineyards, it offers stunning views and a true sense of calm. The center of Saint-Émilion is about a 20-minute walk away. It’s a lovely route through the countryside, though do keep in mind that it includes some uphill and downhill stretches. If the main house isn’t rented, guests can also enjoy the beautiful swimming pool, which adds an extra touch of relaxation to the experience. A memorable experience we would love to repeat.

Absolutely lovely Chateau with beautiful rooms, grounds, restaurant and a lovely swimming pool. The rooms have a view of the village Saint Emilion. The discovery tour took us to their fermentation rooms which looked very modern and pretty breathtaking in design. The wine was fantastic. Claire arranged a lovely picnic basket for us; we picnicked in the garden and it will be one of our most memorable evenings ever.

This is a vineyard. We did a tour and tasting, we did not stay there. The tour was very interesting and our guide was informational and very nice. The tasting was delicious. We bought a bottle and some chocolate made by the chef. They have a chef's garden for the restaurant. Very sustainably minded. Beautiful surroundings.

Gorgeous view and the restaurant has a beautiful position to take advantage of the view. Haven't eaten there yet,but will soon. Sustainable cuisine and one Michelin star. Staff was friendly and the architecture is very stylish.

Fantastic Stay in the Vineyard house out IN the vineyards. A Stunning property and the winery is impressive, and the Land Rover vineyard tour was fun and informative. The 2 Michelin star restaurant was incredible. Staff was fantastic in all areas. We will make this our area base for our next visit. The property is within walking distance of St Emilion, a wonderful hilltop town.

Impromptu Michelin Star lunch at the restaurant Les Belles Perdrix, which is part of Château Troplong Mondot Mr & I enjoyed a 4 course tasting and the restaurant went over the top to create a special vegetarian menu just for us. It was delicious! Amuse focused on artichoke and carrot, courses focused on mushrooms, asparagus and peas. Dessert was rhubarb but let's not forget their amazing cheese cart that showcased many local cheeses The grounds were absolutely lovely, the atmosphere was tranquil and serene and the meal was sublime Best part was that we were able to purchase bottles of the wine we had at lunch, since we'd specifically chosen it to pair with our meal.......where else can you discover an awesome wine and put it to the taste test immediately

It's not often that I drink a wine that is older than me. I generally can't afford one, especially when it comes from a Premier Grand Cru Classe. But if it's ever offered to you, you have to jump at the chance. My friend's bday party had a 1967 Château Troplong Mondot brought by her father. Wow. Talk about the big guns!

We had a great tour of the vineyard which was finished with a tasting of the 2011 vintage. It was very informal and interesting and all of our questions were answered. For 8€ I can only recommend it to anyone visiting St. Emilion!

Best Birthday Dinner venue ever!!!!! Amazing property with views of vineyards all around. We visited in the summer during the St. Emilion Jazz Festival and danced the night away. Wines are fantastic, the host was impeccable, the company was just as divine. Their cellar was probably my favorite during this wine trip, It was like a dream!!!! Reminds me why I am in the wine business!!!
