New Bay Area Restaurant and Bar Openings in August 2024 | Eater SF

"Set to open in Walnut Creek, this swanky restaurant and lounge from Domingo and Raquel Williams promises champagne-and-caviar service alongside charcuterie and small plates in a moody mezzanine bar, a dedicated champagne room, and a European-style patio." - Dianne de Guzman

I’ve been wanting to come here since they opened! As a longtime fan of Honey & Brie, I couldn’t wait to try their new spot—and it did not disappoint. My husband brought me here for a Mother’s Day brunch date, and it was the perfect choice. We arrived early, around 10:30 AM, since we had other plans later in the day. Thankfully, my husband had made a reservation, so we were seated right away with no wait. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with a side salad and a side of truffle fries—everything was delicious. My husband had the Chateau breakfast, and we shared an order of French toast. The portions were generous, and every bite was amazing! For Mother’s Day, they offered a complimentary glass of champagne. Nice touch! The service was excellent, and the ambiance was chic, modern, and inviting. It’s a perfect spot for a date or a girls’ night out. I will most definitely be coming back!

Alright, let's get down to the nitty gritty with Chateau. Place is really good! Recommended reserving a table, otherwise you're waiting a long time to get seated indoors. We opted for outdoor seating, and it was interesting how they converted the side of the restaurant into outdoor tables.(slightly crowded) Got our appetizers( deviled eggs, truffle fries, bread) and boy out of all 3 the deviled caviar topped deviled eggs did not disappoint! Literally was the smoothest deviled eggs I've ever had. The mixture was not an overpowered flavor but very soft and delicious. The mayo at the bottom evens it out. Then we talk about the main courses. The Angel hair vongole and the seared lambchops were both very good. And when I go back I would definitely go for the Angel hair plate. Delicious noodles, shrimp, and clams. Nice little kick to it with really good flavor. And finally we get to the dessert. The creme Brule cheesecake was good. Had a really good top layer, but I did wish the bottom layer(crust) was a bit more crumbly. Felt like they had just taken it out of the fridge. Overall my experience was wonderful and I can't wait to be back!

Such a cute spot! It’s very noisy inside so I’m glad we got a table outside, the ambiance is calm with twinkly lights and jasmine bushes. The staff is friendly, the drinks are creative and tasty, and the food is delish. Highly recommend the lamb!

As a person who has been in the restaurant industry for 30yrs it can be hard to impress me. But The Chateau hit the mark. We had a reservation for 6 people on a busy Friday night and our table was ready and the hostess was welcoming. Our server Louis was exceptional. He was super attentive and charming without hovering. He was patient with answering questions and making recommendations both from the kitchen and bar. The food was fantastic. We ordered nearly 1 of everything on the menu and it was all very good.

Last night my husband and I had dinner at this fairly newly opened restaurant in Walnut Creek. We loved the shabby chic decor. The vibe was happening, but a bit noisy at times. Alana was our server and she was extremely personable - sincerely likes what she does, you can just tell. We had the arugula and Caesar salad (lemon croutons were delicious). We had the Hamachi crudo which had a beautiful presentation (all dishes were gorgeous - we forgot to take pictures they looked so good!). We had the mussels and mushroom burrito as our mains. Everything was delicious. No chocolate on the dessert menu but Alana said the chef is on it and will be adding an option in the very near future (we must return, she was quick to say!). The portions were on the smaller size, but that seems more typical these days - keep the prices down, smaller portions. We get it. But yes, we would gladly return - and especially, we would ask for Alana! Enjoy.

Such a great date night spot and addition to downtown Walnut Creek! This place gets busy and probably impossible to be seated without a reservation. Make sure to make a reservation online! Cocktails are delicious and creative. One of the better spots in the area. Food is tasty as well. We got the burger with garlic fries and deviled eggs. They have other options for food as well. Super classy, date night vibes so gives you an excuse to dress up a little. Staff is on point and never had a bad experience! Indoor and outdoor seating available- outdoor has heat lamps and blankets! Great place!

Google
I had high hopes. I will start with the good. The place had a good vibe, I liked the ambiance and environment but it is pretty small. The host was accommodating and pretty nice so I thought she set the tone for a good experience. However, once we were seated, we waited 10 mins before I asked if we had a waitress. No one came by once to greet us or pour any water or take a drink order. It as only two of us, we ordered two apps and an entree each. 4 items total we ordered and they got the entrees wrong. Then as we were finishing, the waitress knocked over and broke our glass of wine which was a little less than half full. U would think they would immediately replace it, nope. Didn’t even offer. Swept up the glass, got wine on my shoes and I still I had to ask for another one. Then they poured it almost to the exact amount that was left when they knocked it over! And charged us for it !!! I thought that was a slap in the face. My girl and I hadn’t been on a date in 4 months as we have 4 kids and that was where we chose to go. Good food, terrible service.

Google
I had a wonderful time at Chatoue Honey+Brie in Walnut Creek. The bar has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a night out. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, expertly crafted, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. To top it off, the owner was so nice, which added a personal touch to the whole experience. Highly recommend this spot for great drinks and a welcoming vibe.

Yelp
Came here for a girls night and had the best time. Even though there was only outdoor seating available, we stayed warm with the heat lamps and blankets. The outdoor patio is well sheltered with high walls so it blocks out the wind. We paired our cocktails with some dishes which we shared family style. Everything was delicious! You really can't go wrong. The deviled eggs were some of the best ever. The angel hair pasta was so light and fresh, with big juicy prawns and plenty of clams. The olive oil cake was the only slight disappointment to the meal, since it took awhile to come out and was cold and gritty. The cream didn't seem quite right, but overall it wasn't bad.

Yelp
My girls and I had wonderful pre-dinner martinis and truffle fries at Chateau and enjoyed everything about this place! We tried the match bliss martini and the classic dirty vodka martini. The matcha bliss was interesting, definitely leaned more into a citrusy green juice vibe for flavor with matcha powder as the topping. The vodka martini was pretty good, though I do wish they gave more than one olive. Our servers were so nice and friendly, checking in on us and refilling our water before we had to ask them to. The fries were perfection, I love a thin crispy fry and these had a delicious truffle flavor and a grating of cheese on top. The vibe is sexy and intimate, décor was plush and chic, and I cannot wait to come back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Chateau on Main Street! Came over here on a Sunday brunch accidentally! Lol...We were looking for a place to have a quick meal and found this cozy place not too busy. So we walked in! So glad we did! We got the charcuterie board, shared the angus short rib and ordered their burrata bruschetta! So much for a quick meal! The short rib was so tender that no knife was needed. It was flavorful and tasty. The burrata bruschetta was delicious. I recommend this a must share order! As for the charcu-board, it looked beautiful, but there were some ahh and there were some meh! Definitely worth for sharing! The exterior and interior looks cozy with a French touch. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a Sunday trip on the Main street in Walnut Creek!

Yelp
I'm rounding up, but brunch was truly a 3 1/2 star! After a long morning of Christmas shopping we stopped in for brunch. We shared the caviar deviled eggs, I had lobster eggs Benedict, it was just ok. I wasn't a fan of the chopped lobster, boooo tomato tomato! Also, the potato patties weren't a hit at our table. What WAS a hit? The deviled eggs and the truffle fries! My drink was really delicious as well. My daughter found her virgin drink to be a bit sour. Neither my daughter or my guest had anything positive or negative to say about their breakfast, so I guess it was mid,, as the kids say. The servers were kind of slow for it not to be crowded but the music and decor were a hit! I absolutely loved this place. I will come back for dinner and try again. The parking garage is around the corner so not a far walk!

Yelp
I really enjoy Chateau! It has a great vibe and a simple menu but everything we ordered was delicious! From the golden beets salad to entree, everything stood out. We finished everything! My son enjoyed his steak and had no complaints. My lamb chop was cooked perfectly at medium rare. This was a great spot for date night, celebration and a girls night out.

Yelp
Got drinks w my girlie and did not expect for this place to surprise me. We sat at the beautiful bar & got a couple of drinks. I would definitely go back for another roundx5 lol. The food we ordered was delicious too truffle fries and I think tuna tartare on top of a potato it was so cute and tasty. The decor and vibes was such a spooky meets upscale theme it was so well decorated and you can definitely tell alot of thought was put into it! Amazing! Our bartender was so nice and never left us unattended or confused so I was really happy & enjoyed the whole experience, will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! One of the best meals I have had in Walnut Creek! They have an outside patio and a dark, moody, cool interior with an almost gothic vibe which we loved! Began with some really great cocktails- I had a French 75! Then shared some dishes - began with their Deviled Eggs with caviar which were spectacular! Then on to their Ahi - these were so good we had to order another. They were served on little potato cakes that were superb. We also enjoyed the burrata bruschetta which was also delicious and ended with the cheese plate. This was good although definitely spotted the cheese from the Costco selection on this platter and felt it could be a tad more adventurous in the cheese selection. But still great! Service was great and this is definitely a place we plan to visit again ! Great place !

Yelp
Amazing food and vibes! The bartenders, servers and hosts are all very welcoming and hospitable. We had a table for four reserved outdoors and had two friends end up joining last minute. Janessa the host was able to accommodate us all and was such a gem about it! Thank you Janessa :) Dining service was a bit slow but understandable. It didn't take away from the atmosphere at all! It was a full house, but everything came out warm and delicious! I've come back twice in the last month and have enjoyed both experiences :)

Yelp
This was my first visit to Château, I made a 7:30 reservation for a Saturday party of 3 girls night! We checked in at 7:30 and was advised they are working on our table at about 7:45 I still didn't hear anything so I went back to the check in and was advised it would be a little bit longer. Around 8pm of the check in girls brought us a glass of champagne and apologized for the wait. We were finally sat at 8:10 40 mins after our scheduled reservation, which was frustrating. After we were sat our waitress advised she would grab us water and some cocktails we ordered. Cocktails were brought but no waters, we then reminded the waitress and still no waters. We had another waiter by the name of Devin walk by who asked how the night was going and we advised not so well, and he brought us water immediately and checked in on us during the night, which we appreciated. On to the food the bread service was good, and we enjoyed the truffle fries. We all ordered the angel hair vongole it was ok but need salt and pepper. The cocktail was really good, we ordered the La Vie En Rose. Not sure if I would go back due to experience overall.

Yelp
Nice place and staff, good food. Depending on what you order portions may be a bit small. I had the burger which was good but a little on the salty side for me. I think it was the sauce. The party I was with had the lamb chops, but man did they look small ; however they sure looked good

Yelp
My first visit to this restaurant. I met a few friends for my birthday and started with devil eggs, ahi tartar Brussel sprouts and fries. Then went on to steak, potato and asparagus and spicy rigatoni. Dessert chocolate lava cake and crème brûlée cheesecake. Everything was yummy but I loved the chocolate lava cake with the gooey warm chocolate in the center.

Yelp
Came here with girlfriends and the food here was very tasty, although portions were small versus the prices. For example, an order of Burrata bruschetta had two thin slices of bread cut in half, so 4 half pieces for $18. Truffle Parm fries were $15 and sized like a small to medium order at any fast food restaurant--and more than likely it's truffle "scented" oil, not real truffle which would call for an even higher cost. Brussel sprouts were very tasty and the portion size was decent for $18. Definitely recommend them. The Salmon risotto was so delicious, but needed more risotto for $28. Also the short ribs at $32 definitely felt too small for a main dish. I would "eat" here again, but not if I'm really hungry. Oh, and cocktails were about $19 each and were nice, but I could definitely do without one next time. Overall Chateau has nice ambiance for a dressed-up date option, and service was good, although it seemed like they really wanted to turn our table over once we were nearly done eating, but thinking about it now, I'm sure they likely had reservation windows to meet, but this could mean they may need to give parties more time between reservations. I want to give them 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I gave them 4 stars in hopes of improvement with diner feedback.

Yelp
4.65/5! Excellent service and attention to detail. I am amazed by the service of this restaurant. At the recommendation of the server, tried to be adventurous and tried another type of spritz cocktail. Unfortunately it wasn't to my liking and the server kindly let me switch to a classic aperol spritz without charging us the first. For appetizers, we ordered the beet salad and the fried brussel sprouts. They kindly split the salad and everything tasted so fresh! The fried brussel sprouts also paired well with the cream sauce. For entrees, we ordered the lamb chops and the spicy rigatoni. Both were excellently done; though I would have preferred the rigatoni to be cooked a bit more al dente. Upon mixing, the rigatoni started to break. The star of the night was definitely the almond and pear tart with vanilla gelato. The best dessert in downtown Walnut Creek (speaking from a local) hands down. The dessert paired so well with a decaf cappuccino that the server PERSONALLY WENT NEXT DOOR TO ANANZ (new cafe who were their friends) to serve us. It was so moving of a gesture and in a way it ruined me to expect so much more for service at other restaurants. I am so excited for this restaurant to remain in WC, and they rightfully deserve the flourishing business and booked out tables every weekend. Well done

Yelp
Ambiance 3.5/5 Service 3/5 Food 4/5 SERVICE: Good food but don't think I'll come back. Had a 7pm reservation, wasn't seated until 7:20pm. Upon being seated the hostess said she had another reservation at 8:15 so we'd need to be done by then. Food didn't come out until 7:45pm so I was surprised when she dropped the check off at our table at 8:20-giving us less than 40mins to wrap up our dinner. It felt rushed and rude. She later came out and said the other guests were sitting outside so we didn't have to rush, but I couldn't help but feel like they were initially willing to sacrifice our experience to accommodate other guests (because they were running behind schedule). FOOD La vie en Rose - very tasty drink (asked to have it with tajin rim) Rigatoni - Yummy, but not memorable Lamp chop - cooked to perfection Caesar salad - crisp, classic and delicious

Yelp
Hands down my new favorite brunch spot in Walnut Creek! The inside is small but feels so luxurious with those velvet seats and sparkling chandelier vibes. We went all out - truffle fries, shrimp Caesar salad, egg sandwich, and the caviar deviled eggs (because...caviar with everything, please). Of course, we washed it all down with some Chandon champagne. Everything was insanely delicious, and the service was just as amazing. If you want to spoil someone or feel extra fancy for the day, this is definitely the place to do it. I'm obsessed with how many caviar options they have.

Yelp
Came here for a later midweek afternoon lunch with a friend. Was really looking forward to having the Caesar salad w/chicken since I'd scanned all the photos here, and it looked great! I have some dietary needs and this would have worked well and really looked fresh and delicious. Plus the reviews seemed super positive. Yeah well, the I was told the chef has decided to change up the menu and make a Kale salad instead now. So it's no longer on the menu, plus the Caesar wrap that's listed still on the menu is now made with KALE. Blech! I personally don't care for kale. So now I was disappointed and scanned the menu while our server was waiting for me to pick something else. But Juan was quick on his feet and said "I have an idea" he got the dinner menu and showed me this other salad. It was shaved fennel, arugula, (fig though mine came with Asian pear) pomegranate, pecans... oh and a balsamic dressing. It's sounded nice, so I opted for this salad and so did my friend. We also added the protein of salmon, which was a nice amount and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed our salads with ice teas and sat in the front by a big open window with a nice breeze. We were able to sit and chat since it was later in the day with no rush to leave. Everyone was pleasant. I would like to come back again because the vibe of the place was quite nice, and they do look to have some outside seating too on nice days. I am hoping they reconsider bringing back the classic Caesar salad, I can't imagine why you'd remove such a simple popular dish? But will try again in the future.

Yelp
Such a wonderful spot for a date night or girls' night out! I'll admit I was hesitant to visit at first, but I'm so glad I did--the food was amazing. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, unique, and definitely made for photo-worthy moments. To start, we ordered the deviled eggs with caviar and the bread service. The eggs were delicious--creamy and rich--but definitely a two-bite situation (they were huge, lol). The bread service was just okay for me. I wish the spread had a bit more salt or flavor--it wasn't something I'd order again. Now, the drinks... top tier! I had my go-to, an amaretto sour, and loved it so much I ordered a second. My friend got the garden spritz and said it was super refreshing. For our main courses, my friend had the spicy rigatoni. I'd rate it a 7/10--good, but missing that extra kick. She absolutely loved it though and took all the leftovers! I ordered an angel hair pasta dish with clams and shrimp, and it was to die for. I'm not sure if it's listed on the menu (I couldn't find it online), but if you see it--get it! It had a nice spicy bite, but nothing too overpowering. The service was a bit slow, but that's understandable since the place was packed. Our waiter was still super friendly and checked in when he could. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Yelp
I swung by Chateau on a Friday evening after watching a movie. I'm a sucker for brussel sprouts and have been wanting to try theirs for weeks. Although Chateau is known for their live dj and weekend brunch, I really enjoyed the ambiance during a less busy time. It's a beautiful space with nice decor. The service was also great. The server confirmed that the brussel sprouts were really good and hostess was kind enough to share their experience with me in regards to Sunday brunch/live dj etc. In regards to the food, I really enjoyed the lamb chops, brussel sprouts (with bacon) and espresso martini . Side note I'm pretty sure they have the best restaurant music playlist in all of DTWC

Alaya W.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my shishito peppers. They usually come with a sauce that contains almonds, but since I'm allergic, the kitchen kindly omitted it. My Lavender French 75 was absolutely delicious. The bread service was epic, and the Hamachi Crudo though I may be spelling that incorrectly is a must-order! The truffle fries were also quite good. Alana, my waitress, was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. Other staff members also checked in on me, asking if everything was okay, which I appreciated. I typically don't highlight race, but I want to acknowledge that the Black waitress and Black male waiter though not assigned to my table were exceptionally attentive and made me feel welcomed. The ambiance is intimate and very elegant, featuring a stunning hanging chandelier. The host today was also warm and welcoming. The bartender even crafted a special drink for me that wasn't on the menu. Inclusivity is definitely one of this establishment's strengths. I highly recommend trying them out!

Yelp
So, I've wanted to try Chateau for a while now... and coming today was a delight. Good food. Good beautiful ambience. Good service, however everything is WAY OVERPRICED, with portions on the smaller side. Think - $22 for 4 half pieces do deviled eggs $15 for truffle fries $18 for brussels sprouts $29 for pasta dishes Overall good but not great. At this price point - there are plenty of choices with better value / or better food.

Yelp
Loved my time here!!! Came in on a Sunday right when they opened. My friend and I were seated quickly and took advantage of their brunch offerings. First off the aesthetics alone!! Super vibey, chill and cozy. It reminded me of a lounge in West Hollywood. There's also a lounge area upstairs that can be rented out for parties, etc. Services- since we got there early we were seated very quickly. Our server was great! She was polite, offered her suggestions on the menu and checked in without being overbearing. Food and drinks - 10/10!! We ordered the espresso martini and the la vie en rose. Absolutely recommend them! Super yummy and not too sugary. We ordered the chateau breakfast and açaí bowl to share with a side of the truffle fries. OMG. So good!!! Honestly, the best truffle fries I've had in the east bay! We were told that it can absolutely get busy, so reservations are recommended Thursday, Fri and Sat. But we went for brunch on a Saturday and our experience was incredible! Looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
We recently hosted a work dinner at Chateau and the service + ambiance were spectacular 10/10. Our server was insanely attentive (I wish I could remember her name). The appetizers - Brussel Sprouts, burrata, Truffle fries - another 10/10. We ordered various different entrees, but those were okay. The pasta and risotto both were underwhelming and undercooked. For the price, I do wish they would have done a better job - so minus 1 star for that. Overall definitely worth a visit especially for a cozy date night!

Yelp
I went here for a girls' night for drinks. The decor and overall vibe is upscale and gives you the feeling that you're in a hotspot in some big city; but actually tucked into downtown Walnut Creek. The espresso martini was rich, flavorful, chilled, and delicious. I didn't get any food but after seeing what people were getting, I will be back to try. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. This place is great for an adult night out!

Yelp
Suuuuuch a vibe! 10/10 across the board. The location, decor, staff, ambiance and MUSIC were all top tier! My girlfriend and I stumbled across this gem while on a date night. The drinks (which I can't quite recall what we ordered were very well crafted and tasty. We also ordered the caviar deviled eggs, which were so creamy and good and the small charcuterie board, which was equally as enjoyable. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
I visited for a girlfriend's birthday with a 9pm Friday reservation, and though our table wasn't ready on time, the hostess made up for it with complimentary champagne. Once seated, we enjoyed drinks and unforgettable bread with creamy, savory butter. I ordered the Angel Hair Vongole, but despite the menu listing Calabrian chili, the spice level was overwhelming--so much so that even my friends couldn't eat more than a bite. After notifying staff, the chef personally apologized and I was offered a complimentary Espresso Martini with Hennessy (which was amazing) and deviled eggs. Overall, I'd recommend this spot more for its cocktails and small bites than for dinner mains, as it makes for an intimate and unique cocktail experience.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 10/10. This restaurant has a lifelong customer in me. I would spend all of my days here the vibe is relaxed, escalated, yet very homelike. My mom and I were able to have amazing conversation with the owner and Devin & Juan who were MORE than helpful! The service was quick, and OMG that food was amazing. I ordered the lobster benedict for brunch, but we also had a kale, Caesar salad, brussels sprouts, tuna, and I have had dishes previously here and they were all amazing. Personally, I love to support local, and support black business. Even our bottles were affordable. Like I said, lifelong customer in me.

Yelp
Chateau is the newest kid on the block, and Walnut Creek is leveling up with fresh restaurant vibes. Another birthday, another reason to celebrate--this time with one of the besties and a solid crew of seven. Pro tip: they host an R&B brunch on the weekends! We made reservations and went in hungry. Ordered a bit of everything, but the favorites? Mussels with bacon (so good) Hamachi crudo Burrata Truffle fries Also tried the spicy rigatoni and lox--both worth a bite. Would I come back? Absolutely. The vibe was fun, food hit the spot, and it's perfect for a night out or weekend brunch.

Yelp
The steak sandwich on the menu looked so good that we tried the place for the first time. Fairly quiet at lunch time and service was great. Waters always full! Great vibe in the restaurant; seems ideal for a nice date night dinner. Now to the most important part. The sandwich was FANTASTIC. My strip was cut into sections and it was expertly put together. Arugula, shallots, chimichuri and horseradish aioli blended beautifully together. The thin French fries were great too. Go get one!

Yelp
First time here and it did not disappoint. It's a small restaurant, but the ambience/aesthetics are great! The Angel hair vongole pasta was really good! I want to go back and try they're brunch, everything on the menu sounds delicious! Our waiter wasn't super attentive, but still great service.

Yelp
The ambiance was amazing! They were all decorated for Halloween when we were there. Super fun with some great Halloween cocktails too! Food was delicious! They were able to accommodate for my vegan and gluten free preferences. The only issue: the service was slow. Otherwise, a great spot. Would probably go again even with the slow service.

Yelp
Called to make a reservation for my friend and I for Sunday lunch and would come back again! The place is very cute with a nice ambiance with large open windows. Perfect place for a beautiful day! We didn't realize we would have a brunch menu and we both got something each and shared their famous rigatoni (we asked for non spicy). All our dishes were delicious!! We would definitely come back again. We looked on their IG and saw that they sometimes have RnB brunch which we would love to come back for.

Yelp
I've been to Château several times before and have always had great experiences, good food, creative and delicious drinks, and attentive service. Unfortunately, this most recent visit for my daughter's birthday (Saturday at 4:30 PM, reservation for three) didn't live up to their usual standard. Our server wasn't very attentive, which was surprising since it wasn't busy at that time. They suggested a drink for my younger daughter, who's just recently started drinking, but never checked back to see if she liked it, and she didn't. We also had another place to be afterward, and it took almost 15 minutes just to get our check and pay, which made the end of our visit feel rushed and frustrating. That said, I still love the ambiance, the décor, and the vibe. The Halloween-themed touches, especially the classic Halloween movies playing on the screen, were a fun seasonal touch, and the drinks themselves were good. I'll definitely give Château another try because I've had great experiences in the past, but this visit left a bit to be desired service-wise. Hoping it was just an off night.

Yelp
Loved it! 5 Stars We stopped by Chateau in Walnut Creek for brunch/lunch, and to our surprise, it was an R&B brunch/lunch that day and it was packed! The energy was lively, with a fantastic DJ spinning R&B hits, setting the perfect vibe for a weekend afternoon. It was a VIBE! We sat outside on the side patio, which was a great spot to enjoy the music while still being able to chat. We started off with a cocktail, and it was divine. Our server was super attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out quickly, and every dish was fresh and absolutely delicious. Being downtown, parking can be a bit tricky, you might have to circle the block a few times, but there's a parking structure just a block away if you don't want to search for street parking. While reservations are recommended, we lucked out and got seated right away. Overall, Chateau has an amazing vibe, great food, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for dinner next time! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I was so excited to finally visit Château and we were not disappointed! After being seated in the patio, one of the heaters was moved over so we were comfortable during our entire meal. I will say however (for those sensitive to it) it's obvious people smoke nearby as the smell of cigar and cigarettes does tend to linger. Food wise, I ordered their famous $17 caesar salad and added on chicken, another $7. After my first bite I can easily say, it was the best salad I've ever had. Every section was tossed with their mouthwatering dressing and delicious croutons, and the chicken added in a smokiness that just made it perfection. The honey ordered the spicy rigatoni, and while it wouldn't call it spicy, the sauce was subtle and smooth and had a nice kick to it that definitely built up over time - I adored it. Drinks wise, I ordered a Vin-tage (Elijah Craig bourbon) and the honey ordered an Old Mez. Neither were a match to the food. The Old Mez had a lovely smokiness to it, but as a rule I don't drink tequila and the honey found it too bland to enjoy. The Vin-tage had a heavy punch, the bourbon unbalancing and overtaking the Frangelico with not enough spiced pear to give it the notes it needed. I hope at some point they branch out into unusual liquors like mastic, or honey mead. Desserts wise, we wrapped up our visit with an Olive Oil Cake, which I felt could have benefitted from a strawberry foam or a drizzle as the flavors didn't work without the strawberries, and the Pear and Almond Tart, which the honey adored and felt mimicked an apple pie. It was absolutely delicious. All in all, the service was friendly and we loved our visit to Château. Five solid stars and we most definitely plan to return!

Yelp
Perfect ambiance with dim lighting and all my jams playing. Cocktails were delicious! We didn't have reservations but got seated right away. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Chic and classy restaurant here in Walnut Creek. The food was great! Had the Spicy Rigatoni for a main dish which has the perfect kick to it in terms of spiciness! The Angel Hair pasta was super good as well if you're looking for a lighter taste and nothing too heavy this is the perfect dish. The service was nice, it was fairly busy but the staff were really accommodating and friendly! 5/5

Yelp
Great music and lively vibe. Good and cocktails are good, but weak. A little bit pricey.

Yelp
Bugs and funky wine. I want this to be a great French local restaurant, but four trips in, and telling them multiple times about the bugs and even asking for a fly swatter, they don't give a rip. Tonight I tasted all the white wines. All of them had gone funky from the weekend. (Today is Wednesday) the bartender was not allowed to pour them out!! Come on! For $158 for one, you can serve fresh wine and remove the dead plant from a year ago that attracts all the bugs. Or you can give your customers fly swatters! Figure it out.

Yelp
Girlfriend & I enjoyed a girls' night out here. Cute restaurant and the vibe was super chill. We were a little thrown off when the hostess informed us that we needed to order on the faster side because we only had 90 minutes at our table. Having made reservations, we were a little annoyed by the fact that we were the only ones she approached and spoke to about that. But besides that minor annoyance, our waiter was very nice. The food - brussel sprouts, shishito peppers and crudo were delicious!! Like, super yummy and the drinks, while very little alcohol, were also very good. So I'd definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This was my first time here and over all loved this place! The Brussel sprouts are a must and they were so delicious. Im giving 4 stars as service could be better as it wasn't busy and the service was quite slow but the staff was very nice and informative on the food. But the Ambiance of this place was stunning!!! Definitely will be coming back!

Such a cute spot in Walnut Creek. Took my best here for her birthday and we ordered a bunch of stuff to share. Large portions and beautiful ambiance.

Yelp
The customer service here is extraordinary! I came with one of my best friends to catch up... To say I was having a hard week, is an understatement. Well while talking to my friend, our server, Luis, continued to check up on us. He would make small gestures here and there reminding me to smile.. when it was time to go, I handed Luis my card and he seemed disappointed we were leaving so soon. I had let him know that we were going to be leaving shortly because we were told we had to leave by 9:15. Well Luis walked away with my card and came back with a chocolate cake, ice cream, and a card saying "smile! It gets better". I whole heartedly appreciate his attentiveness. Thank you for seeing me Luis and giving me a little faith in humanity. I truly needed this more than you'll know.

Yelp
1st time visiting this restaurant and it was so cute ! The vibe is like a tiny little quaint town in Europe somewhere. There's different types of seating available inside and outside. The upstairs is very cute but has low tables (less for dining more for sipping and chatting over small bites). We split the beets salad and tomato soup- both were soooo tasty and I really enjoyed the salad as an appetizer- the deviled eggs and hamachi dishes were also really great! I ended up ordering the spicy bolognese and it was a good portion and yes, it was spicy! I love spicy so it was perfect for me!! It was between that pasta and the angel hair so I'll try that one next time!! Everything was clean and presentable- we did sit outside as it was a gorgeous day! But I will say that the outside chairs are not comfortable at all !! They're like wicker or something and it just feels rough on the back thighs if you're wearing a dress it will Leave you some marks... The service team was pleasant and accommodating- I will try the caviar next time bc we just got too full And left no room for the main reason we came!

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant filled with elegant decor and bustling with staff and patrons. It's quite loud, but feels like a "happening" place. Raquel the owner started this venture with Honey and Brie Charcuterie and has grown her business with Chateau. So wonderful to see a young woman making it in this business They have a great cocktail and wine menu, with plenty of choices by the glass. You can order small charcuterie boards from the menu and I think it would be a cool spot to do that and pair with cocktails for happy hour. But, I was there for dinner with a bunch of friends. The food was great. I had the arugula salad with chicken and the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful in the salad. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. I'd like to see the menu expand a bit to more dinner options, but they've only been open three months and I'm sure they're feeling things out still where menu is concerned. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, shishito peppers and truffle fries for appetizers and they were all quite tasty, especially the fries! While we sat indoors, they have some outdoor seating as well. Lots of parking options nearby.

Yelp
I selected Château for birthday dinner because of fellow Yelper, Richard B's review. He was spot on, this is a very romantic yet lively space. It's a bit small in size but there is upstairs seating as well as an outdoor space with heat lamps and blankets. Our reservation was for a party of seven at 8:00 p.m. and sadly I think the restaurant overbooked because we were not seated until well after 9:00. The host did an amazing job of defusing the situation by providing us with complimentary champagne and cocktails. Once seated and the food service began, the past annoyance disappeared. Everything was delicious! The shishito peppers had an amazing sauce, the truffle fries we're crispy and had a nice light shaving of Parmesan. The hamachi crudo had an interesting taste I just feel like the portion was a bit small and maybe they should have advised us to order two, But the overall standout was the Lox board. I'll own my bias I love smoked meats and capers so I was in heaven with each bite. Definitely worth a second visit but perhaps not be on a Saturday night.

Yelp
I went today and it was delicious and the service was perfect! The kale Cesar with anchovies was delicious. We also enjoyed the truffle fries, cavier devil eggs and the steak and eggs. And the drinks were beautiful and delicious. The decor was spot on too! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant, small, but they have made great use of use of the space. The bar is small, but upstairs there is a nice bar lounge type space. The upstairs is a very cute set up, but not really practical for having a real dinner (tables are pretty low) and unfortunately, that was where we were sat even though we had a reservation. Service was friendly and attentive although my meal came out first (before drinks and before the other entree). The presentation of the food wasn't very impressive, but I was very happy with the taste. Great flavors and textures! I also particularly liked my drink, Bardot 75
