Super excited that Chatime opened in Ann Arbor! I know this franchise is quite popular in Canada and Malaysia and it’s finally expanding in the US. They have a wide range of selections on their menu and drinks are highly customizable and authentic. It’s literally steps away from the main school buildings, restaurants and bars. Also conveniently located next to a huge parking structure if you are driving and need a place to park. Definitely drop by and try out their delicious drinks!

I'm from Detroit, and I got excited when I seen a Chatime in Ann Arbor! I've never tried it so I was thrilled to order for the first time. I got the roasted milk tea, which was advertised to be a stronger tea flavor from the original milk tea with light ice and regular tapioca pearls. The pearls were very chewing, but a harder chewy texture. I usually like my pearls to be soft chewy and I actually think that my milk tea was rather calm than being stronger as advertised. This place serves okay bubble tea, but I still am won over Kung Fu Tea and would go there over Chatime. Still pretty good though!

Great bubble tea! I love Chatime bubble tea all along and finally we have it now in Ann Arbor! It is in great location near downtown. I used to go to Aventura for lunch and then go to Mighty Good Coffee after lunch. Last weekend I went to Chatime instead. The decoration and environment is really good. There are plenty variety to choose from and I had the Signature Milk Tea with Pearl and my Mom had the Roasted Milk Tea, they are both pretty good. I like to have not very sweet tea and it satisfies my taste with 25% sweetness option. Definitely will come again!

Great balance of flavor in my milk tea, it wasn't overpowering which I enjoy. If you want to try one of the many tea shops in A2 I would recommend to try Chatime to see if it lives up to the others around the area. I see so many students walking around with the Chatime logo and I always wondered where they got them. The shop would be easy to miss if you were just walking by (it's hidden behind a pillar and a building overhang).

The service is a bit slow. [Update] service is a lot faster on their grand opening. So much faster than coco! There are a lot of tea varieties, such as lychee, mango, and passion fruit. I got 0 sugar, and the mango tea is already sweet enough for me; I assume that they use some syrup for the fruity flavors. I wouldn't want to get it sweeter. I also would recommend no ice as you get more tea. The boba is respectable, the nata jelly is okay. I enjoyed the subtle sweetness of fruity teas.

Not even close to the competition. I wanted milk tea with taro and pearls and it’s not even on the menu. I ordered milky taro delight and it has a texture like there is shredded paper in it(Not enjoyable)I travel to Asia often and this is the first bubble tea place in the world where I can’t order what I want or order a custom drink. I won’t be back.

A cozy place to hang out and drink bubble tea. The owners are really nice and I've been coming everyday since I've found it. The wait can be a little long, but it's definitely worth it.
