The Best Restaurants In Redmond, Washington

"From the same folks as Kanishka (located in the same strip mall), Chatpata is for more casual, after-hours crowds. Inside this small house, you’ll find Indian street food like kathi rolls, aloo burgers, and delicious pav bahji. While the burgers are just fine, we love the chicken tikka sandwich that reminds us of what you might find at high-tea—crusty grilled bread cut into little triangles and stuffed with meat we could eat on its own. There are just two tables inside, so we wouldn't come here looking to sit down for long—but Chatpata is great for a quick snack or late-night takeout (they’re open until 12am on weekends)." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Chatpata By Kanishka Review - Redmond - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Located in the same Redmond strip mall that’s home to sibling restaurant Kanishka and its takeout operation, Chatpata is for the more casual, after-hours crowds. Inside this small house (that could easily be mistaken for a drive-thru coffee stand), you’ll find Indian street food like kathi rolls, aloo burgers, and delicious pav bahji. While the burgers are just fine, we love the chicken tikka sandwich that reminds us of what you might find at high-tea—crusty grilled bread cut into little triangles and stuffed with meat we could eat on its own. When topped with melted shreds of rich white cheese, the whole thing is fantastic. There are just two tables inside, so we wouldn't come here looking to sit down for long—but Chatpata is great for a quick snack or late-night takeout (they’re open until 12am on weekends). photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley" - Kayla Sager-Riley

This place truly feels like home. Cozy ambiance, warm service and food that reminds you of a home-cooked meal. If you’re craving simple, flavorful, homemade-style food, this is where you should go. I tried their burger—it was delicious! Their freshly made cakes and pastries look really good—I’m definitely looking forward to trying them next time. I’ve only been once but already can’t wait to return. A hidden gem worth checking out!

Tried this cozy Indian fast food spot and was really impressed with the food! Every dish we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and packed with authentic spices — definitely the highlight of the visit. Tried samosa chaat, vada pav, bread omelette and lassi. There’s limited indoor seating, but they also have some outdoor tables which was a nice option. The service was a bit slow, perhaps due to weekend rush, but the staff was courteous and the food more than made up for the wait. A great place to grab a quick, delicious meal - we’ll definitely be back!

Tried the Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav — both were served fresh, hot, and packed with flavor- perfect comfort food on a rainy day! The Pav Bhaji, in particular, was spot on and quite filling. The only downside is that it's a bit of a drive for us, and the seating is super limited (just two tables), which is a bit of a bummer. Still, worth a visit for the food!

We are foodies with taste buds of Mumbai+Ahmedabad+Delhi. We love chatpata and spicy food and prefer authentic Indian chaats over fusionated stuff. Just to set the right background. We were recommended this place by a friend who grew up in Delhi that offers savory chaat dishes. We tried several items to just to get the hint of the place and we were blown away by the taste of the food, their customer service and their eagerness to take the feedback to improvise. Paani Puri - Will start with a flagship item of any Desi Indian taste buds. We consider this a hallmark of chaat. I will give it an impressive 9/10 for the mint water (Paani) that came so close to perfect that we can claim to have found the alternatives for "Apna chaat" in Surrey. We can consider it close to Elco market or street side Manek chowk taste. Highly recommend it. Dahi Puri - We asked to make it custom spicy with thai green chilli with equal portion of sweet and green chutney with extra portion of Dahi and my goodness it came out just perfect - 10/10. Loved everything. Masala sandwich - 10/10. They offer white and wheat bread. Be careful if you ask for healthy wheat option as it changes the taste. Stick to original style and you will get an original taste. Make sure not to forget to say Cheese! - THE Amul Cheese! Chole/Paneer Burger/Paratha/Kathee Roll - Great taste again. Will give 9/10. Make sure to custom order it to your taste. I like mine with extra green chutney and spicy. They will honor your taste buds to perfection. Kadak chai - What a refresher and a pleasant way to end the meal with their kadak chai. We believe, we were served the rarity in Indian tea in a long time. Perfect blend of cardamom reminded me of a specific place on Baroda-Ahmedabad highway that served this great taste. I recommend them to also offer Ginger tea (with lots of ginger) that we are very fond of. It also came to us with a pleasant surprise that they do catering for the same chaat menu along with eggs/eggless cakes and can recommend several great options for your next birthday/graduation/celebration parties. Make sure to try them and make your own judgement. You won't regret it. Perhaps it saves you a trip to Surrey's Agarwal Sweets. Kudos to the chef, the management of Chatpata by Kanishka for providing the best experience while dining.

Does Indian chicken strips, sandwiches and mango cake sound good at 11:30pm? This stuff would be good at any hour but being open late makes this a godsend. The iced coffee is almost the same as a Tim Hortons ice cappuccino if canadians are interested.

Food - What is put on the pictures on the website doesn’t come like that ex Garlic Dirty Loaded Fries : Nothing except some bad bad cheese and not even that has coverage; Kathi roll shows fries with it in picture - nothing with it. Last time we had burger - had cheese slice, today not that either. Btw this is my second time here because Pav bhaji was decent the first time. Service : Always have to wait 10-15 mins, i guess they start preparing until you come and ask for the order, two stars because the counter person is polite atleast Atmosphere : Water not available/ or glasses, no management of twenty people standing in a small space - more than 5 in the sq ft would be claustrophobic. Pls manage ppl who come to collect food.

ok Kanisha now has a chat house? Count me in! I went to check this new place out and was NOT disappointed. I got a Paratha with their special cheese blend, and that was very tasty! I also got a Samosa chat, and that hit with their special blend of spices that are signature Kanishka. finished it all off with a lovely smooth sweet lassi that really hit the spot! oh, and I saw the fries. they looked nice and crispy, I'm gonna come back just for those and some curry dip. So, if you crave Indian, and want it fast, you can't go wrong with Chatpati!

We ordered Pav Bhaji, Fries, and Samosa Chaat, and everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic and satisfying. We also tried the Ginger Lemon Soda, which was refreshing and paired well with the meal. The place has limited seating with just two tables, but it adds to the cozy, street-food vibe. It’s a great spot to enjoy Indian chaat in the US. Highly recommended for anyone craving tasty Indian snacks and drinks!

Yelp
This place is my go to for snacks. Their vada pav is unbeatable. And I like their vegetarian cream cheese cucumber sandwich. You know the best part, they are open till midnight! The service is prompt. But will not recommend folks to sit and eat here. This place is best for takeaway IMO. Not much to day about ambiance either. For a small snack shop, this deserves a 4 star. Please note they never claimed to be a fine dining restaurant. If you love Indian snacks, go check them out.

Yelp
A nice casual Indian place in Redmond and surprisingly it was good. It has limited menu with Indian snacks and small bites. Overall good, we ordered Samosa Chat, Lamb Kati roll and Bombay Sandwich.

Yelp
It was late-night craving around 11:30 PM,that led us to chatpata by kanishka near the left corner of Kanishka. The place had a tempting menu, and we decided to go for the Masala Fish and Fries, Chicken Dumplings, and a Lamb Kathi Roll. The Masala Fish and Fries stole the show, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with rich, savory flavors. The Chicken Dumplings, though not as soft as I typically prefer, were still flavorful and satisfying. But the Lamb Kathi Roll was a real delight, with minced lamb, onions, and egg coming together in a soft wrap that made every bite comforting and delicious. The service was good, and our food arrived in about 20 minutes, and has convenient parking. Overall rating on the dishes: -Masala Fish and Fries: 4.8/5 - Chicken Dumplings:4/5 - Lamb Kathi Roll: 4/5 Perfect late night spot!!!

Yelp
I was in Seattle for work, and decided to order in from this place to my hotel. I clearly ordered a lot of food, but I wanted to try a few items. The portion sizes are quite big, so keep that in mind before you order. Here is what I ordered: - Bread Pakoda: DELICIOUS!!!! I was born in Delhi, and grew up eating bread pakodas. This was so so good. The order had quite a few pieces, and I was quite full after eating them. Loved it. - Vada Paav: this was mediocre. I've definitely had better Vada Paav before. This lacked the seasoning and flavors on the bread. - Garlic Chili Toast: this would have tasted amazing when eaten at the restaurant. It got a bit soggy by the time it showed up at my hotel. But I loved the taste and flavors. The order had quite a few toasts in there, and I wasn't able to eat it all. I would recommend getting this fresh at the restaurant. - Cold Coffee: this was yummy. I loved the way it tasted. Reminded me of cold coffee in India. - Kodak Chai: wasn't a fan of the chai. It was ok. Wish it was better. Overall, this restaurant has a wide variety of snacks you can order, and they are quite good. I would definitely order from here again.

Yelp
Excellent Food and excellent service. This is not a big place - you may have 3-4 tables and a few chairs. But the owner is very adjusting and will try his best to make you comfortable. The food will give you vibes of Honest restaurants but with a difference that they have less variety in the menu but a notch better quality. In my opinion the real testament to evaluating the flavor of a restaurant is to try multiple items and ask yourself if there was anything you didn't like. For me I had none in Chatpata. Paneer burger, Vada Pav, Tea, Garlic Sandwich, Peri Peri fries, Bombay Sandwich everything was tasty. And for this very reason I need to give this place a solid 5 stars.

Yelp
The food is decent and service was reasonably fast considering there are few folks to serve but nothing extraordinary taste wise and bit oily. For this kind of cuisine honest or Chaat house is better. Ambience isn't much it's in a small house with few tables

Yelp
This small spot in Redmond downtown offers a delightful experience with friendly staff and delicious food. The Indian cold coffee is just like the one we get in India, and my personal favorite is the chilly toast. We also tried their paneer burger and peri peri fries, and both tasted amazing. This is some of the best Indian fast food I've had in Seattle. A must-try!

Yelp
New indian fast food/ chai / chaat place opened 2 months ago by Kanisha. I had vadapav & masala chai for a quick evening snack. Vada pav had the perfect amount of spice and tanginess, and the masala tasted so fresh. It was the best I ever had! Masala chai was hands down AMAZING. I could taste the effort put into making it. This will be my go-to place for chai and snacks (hoping the quality doesn't deteriorate). Must visit. Staff was kind & fast. Ample of sitting space considering it is a fast food joint. Everything was clean & supplies were pretty stocked up on each table. They lots of other vegetarian options (and they plan to add more in the future). They are open till late at night. Thinking and writing this review makes me want to place an order Convenient location right on Redmond way and parking is available.

Yelp
This restaurant has quick service and felt more like a to-go shop. The seating is very limited and the establishment is very small. Unfortunately the food we ordered was taken out of a freezer right in front of us and cooked as is. I'm not comfortable paying restaurant prices for frozen food I can buy at the grocery store. Extremely disappointed with the experience we had.

Varsha J.

Yelp
I have tried vada pav, momos and paneer tikka burger here. Paneer tikka burger was not something i would order again as i felt it wasn't cooked properly. I mostly ordered for togo so service was good in that sense as it didn't take too long for the food to be ready. Ambiance seems ok. Its a small place and i guess most people just order for togo.

Yelp
Atmosphere is just okay, but better than most fast food places. The service is counter based and super friendly. I ordered the lamb burger 5/5, I don't know where they get their buns they are amazing, with peri peri fries 5/5 I could not stop eating them.

Yelp
Ordered different items for delivery in last couple of months. Vada pav was pretty good. Dahi Bhalla was disappointing. It used to be much better with original Kanishka. Prices are on the higher side for the quality but a reliable option for Indian food in Redmond downtown.

Yelp
This food was so delicious. Got a masala burger. It seemed weird to try but the pictures look good. Omg the food was everything. I'm mad I like it so much because after going back home I won't be able to get again. Highly recommend

Yelp
Really enjoy the Masala fish & chips. Nice size with delicious sauce. Service is fast. Sit-down space is limited as is parking when busy, but takeout is perfect and quick.

Yelp
Excellent fried chicken sandwich... for the most part. It's never bad, sometimes it's fantastic sometimes it's just good. I've been there 5 times now and have had great service and sat there with none. Hopefully they're just finding their groove. Will continue to visit and update.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. The food is unique and delicious but definitely spicy. Not a lot of seating but good type of food to take away and eat anywhere.

Anu A.

Yelp
panner tikka burger was filled with paneer curry with mustard oil expected better. It did not taste like a burger.

Nikhil P.

Yelp
I came here with my family - three adults, two kids. Everyone thought the food was outstanding, and the kids are two picky eaters. The chicken tenders, paneer burger, and masala fries were standouts. Great concept and food is great. We will definitely make this a regular place we eat with the family.

Yelp
The food is a celebration of SALT. The sandwich includes a bread fried in SALTED butter topped with some SALTY paneer tikka masala, some cucumber and tomato seasoned with SALT and then some green chutney with SALT with a thick slice of SALTED cheese covered by another slice of bread fried in SALTED butter. Overall just a very "SALTY" experience!
