Oh my god, it was bad. We ordered their specialty which is chat-dahi puri and masala puri. Dahi puri had unseasoned potatoes along with chana. It was only sweet, no spicy chutney. They used white onions which was strange to see in an Indian chat item. Masala puri is not the authentic Bangalore style masala puri if you’re looking for it. The choley masala used was stinky and we had to toss this whole thing. Complete waste of my 20 dollars. Customer service was rude, no customer service at all. Avoid if possible.

It was an amazing experience at Chatpatta Corner, run by a hardworking and welcoming family serving delicious vegetarian Indian food. The vibe and ambience is very family-friendly and makes you crave more for the typical desi street food. We enjoyed Pani Puri, Aloo Paratha, Tikki Choley, Dahi Papdi Sev Puri, Kachori with Chutney and Aloo Sabji, and the super-special Kulfi with Gulab Jamun! The variety they offer is truly amazing, and I have to come again to try the other delicacies! Check out more on my Instagram food page @veggie_central

I don't think I ll eat Bhel Puri again after eating it here, drenched in sweet sauce and burried in nylon sev.

This is one of the first chaat places that we have been to in Bay area... Auntie has been one of the first person's to start panipuri in the traditional style of delivering with her hands wearing clean gloves. Chaats are still pretty good and taste very homely. They maintain high quality food and have been doing a great job through covid too. Can't go wrong with any of the chats. Taste is pretty standard and everything is consistent in quality. I wouldn't say they taste the best, but there is nothing to complain about on any of the items either. Samosa chaat, Pani poori, Tikkis are all good!

This is an amazing food space. The food tastes homely. You may get a little upset for immediate service related needs - like water. They provide you with water, but you need to go to them each time you need more refills. We try to always take our own water bottle. But the food is amazing and the serve amazing pani puri.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I ordered dahi kachori, samosa, and palak paneer — and unfortunately, everything was extremely disappointing. The kachori had no stuffing and was completely bland. The palak paneer lacked any flavor at all. The samosas were the worst of all — the filling tasted raw, with undercooked peas, overpowering raw spices, and plain boiled potato. It felt like no care had gone into the preparation. I spent $35 on this meal and truly regret it. This was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Please be cautious before ordering.

I used to frequent this place in 2019/20 when I lived in the area. Visited today after about 5 years and it’s still the same great quality. Aunty ji keeps the place alive after these many years. Great feeling!

Google
We came to this restaurant after dentist visit next door. Great food options. They accept Apple pay. Ordered paratha, paneer thali, mango lassi, gulab jamun and samosa chaat.

Yelp
This is a small Indian chaat cafe. I have tried variety of chaat items here. This is self serve business. There is live panipuri stall which I love. My most favourite things here are choley Bhature and Sarson ka saag with makki do roti. Their Samosa and tiki choley are also very popular. Dahi puri chaat and paneer paratha are average , I think I have eaten better. I would recommend this place if you are a chaat fan.

Yelp
I love the food best chaat in the world Very clean and hygienic Have been a customer for a very long time Service is fantastic

Yelp
Hubby and I had the live pani puri here. The water is really flavourful and packed with a punch. But we felt 9.99$ for just 6 poori's is pricy for this dish. We also got the pav bhaji. Pav was crispy (would have liked it softer) the bhaji was good and filled with butter. The owner aunty was kind enough to give us extra serving of bhaji as we ran out of and had pav remaining. :) Decent place. Wanna try the chaat items here which are super raved for here.

Yelp
Ok chaat. Don't go in expecting service or ambiance. Tried just one dish, so can't comment on overall quality.
google avatar

Sumbul M.

Yelp
If you're craving homemade, authentic North Indian vegetarian cuisine, this place is for you. An experienced, super duper kind aunty cooks everything herself to ensure the highest quality. And when it comes to live pani puri stalls, they are the OG, serving for over two decades! Their kadhi chawal stood out for me- it felt like my mom had just made it fresh. Every bite was absolutely delicious. I absolutely loved the cute decor. The host as I said was super super kind and welcoming. Don't miss their 10% Mother's Day discount. Use the code "mothersdayspecial" when you visit them.

Yelp
Excellent tasty food that can be taken on a daily basis like home food. Lot of vegetarian choices and easy to pick up. Quality is very consistent and the orders get done on time. Friendly service. Ambiance is relaxed.

Icechaie K.

Yelp
Best pani puri in the Bay Area, consistent quality, and served with a lot of love . It's been our go to for 6 years, never disappoints

Faaizah V.

Yelp
I would have to say they have the best chaat that I have had in the bay area. But I do question the hygiene and how much they wash their hands. Maybe they should wear gloves when they're touching food? I've been going there over 10 years, and I know they started off as a cash only business. I have seen them handle money, and then food with the same hands without washing in between. No, I'm not saying I wouldn't ever go back there, because their food is just that good that I could never do that to myself. I just wish they washed their hands before touching food.

Yelp
Over 20 years ago, as a newly married couple living far from our homes, we discovered a small chaat kiosk inside a grocery store which quickly became our cherished spot, serving the most authentic flavors that transported us straight to home. No matter the long lines, the wait was always worth it--nothing could stand in the way of our cravings for their perfectly spiced pani puri, tangy aloo tikki, and chaats bursting with flavor. Even as time has passed, the memory of that place remains fresh. If you're looking to add a bright spot to your day, don't miss this one.

Kiran R.

Yelp
I've gone to this place since college (over 20 years)!! This is the best place for chaat, tikki, choole bhature, and everything else on the menu. Woman owned and run business! Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Chhaya G.

Yelp
The Chloe bhature is really awesome.Perfect delhi flavor. The bhature was really puffy and not oily at all which is very surprising .This will our weekend spot going forward.
google avatar

Ashish K.

Yelp
This is easily the best Pani Puri spot in South Bay. The experience is just like having it on the streets in India! Other things I've tried and are pretty good would be kachori, aloo tikki, choley puri. Tons vegan options. The only thing is they shut early so make sure you get there latest by 6:30pm.

Muralidharan R.

Yelp
I especially loved the channa of this place. It has a tanginess to it that I have never had outside of Mumbai in India. Loved their pani puris too - the puris were made at the store and tasted awesome.
google avatar

Pratik D.

Yelp
Best pani puri in the Bay Area. I've been coming here for many years and the taste is still outstanding. Gave it one star less because everything else was very ok
google avatar

Alizah A.

Yelp
Ordered via doordash recently, and it exceeded expectations. Firstly, I'm not sure how they were able to make it stay crispy until it got to my home, especially since i got dahi puri and a samosa chaat. It was the first time I've had chat that samosa tasted like the ones back in Pakistan in YEARS. First place to make it authentically spicy. Prices are also pretty decent - will be ordering again.
google avatar

Ronil S.

Yelp
I have been going here for almost 5 yrs now. Best Pani puri in Bay Area! I love the chaats too. Recently tried their Thali and loved it too! Went with 7 friends and all loved it. Highly recommend all frnds n family Service is fast and ambiance is great
google avatar

Oolca S.

Yelp
After reading so many positive reviews tried this place today. Overall very homely, an authentic chaat taste, We ordered their Dahi sev Puri and Chana Bhatura which came in a good quantity for the price. Both dishes tasted good, Dahi sev Puri was bit tangy then sweet (tamarind chutney), which was good. Chhole had tempting dark brown color but couldn't taste spices. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Will come back to try other items.
google avatar

Anandita S.

Yelp
Been eating chaat: pani puri, sev puri, thali and choley bature for years. Super fresh. Ladies, always ask about my kids and love when my kids eat pani puri and chat. Its a perfect place to enjoy chat and catch up with friends. This place is been around for decades
google avatar

Daman T.

Yelp
I originally liked this place for their Delhi style chaat. But since then I have ordered a few times, noticing a decline in quality of food each time. The food is getting way too spicy, as if masking all other flavors with chili powder. (I have high spice tolerance in general, so calling this out because of the unnecessary additions.) It recently got to a point where you taste nothing but chili, and has made us sick.

Dillon P.

Yelp
Ambiance is a bit dry and the food leaves a lot to be desired, sad to say but there are better options out there.
google avatar

Venugopal N.

Yelp
Best chaat in Bayarea . Be it chole Bathure , pani puri or just samosa , the sauces are authentic , spices are well blended and taste is pure bliss . We recently catered Dahl paapdi chat and our guests were gaga on the taste . Highly recommended chaat joint in Bayarea

Dipankar R.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing chaat! We've been coming here for a couple years. We always get chaat like Raj Kachori, Tikki choley, samosa chaat, pani puri, etc. It's the among best in Bay Area (as good as Delhi walla chaat). A family runs it and they do clean home style cooking. They also have parathas and take away sabzi, will get next time .
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
If you know, you know. The best chaat in the Bay Area. I've been eating auntie's chaat since I was a kid, and almost 15 years later it's the best I've ever had. When I visit home, this is in my top 3 places to eat. My friend and I have a running joke that even after trying chaat all over the streets of India, this place is still right up with the greats. Don't go for the service, not for the ambiance, it's all sort of a bizarre setup. But when the food is that good, nothing else matters. Get the pani puri and the mix chaat.
google avatar

Rinku I.

Yelp
Authentic food. I loved the pani puri, it brought back memories of my childhood. The place clean and the food is fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Rinkoo C.

Yelp
Love love love this place! It's family owned and the food is amazing with a home like environment. I like all their food but my favorite are golgappa, aloo puri and chole bhutara.
google avatar

Zankhna V.

Yelp
I am so happy they are back to serving live Pani Puri! My entire family missed that so much during and post COVID. We have been going there for more than 20 years now and the taste remains the same! Best way to experience chaat in the Bay Area!

Kishan Chaitanya G.

Yelp
Terrible food, one of the worst chats in Fremont. Food tasted so bad that not sure how old it is. Please avoid if possible.

M A.

Yelp
This place has the best pani puri in the Bay Area. I've been coming here for many years and it is always amazing. Their aloo tikki chhole and kachori chhole are also pretty good. Gave it one star less because it is a bit pricey given the ambiance is not all that great.

Maya L.

Yelp
The service here is the best and the food is very tasty. This is my favorite spot for authentic Indian food. My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years! New decorations are very pretty! Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Sakthi S.

Yelp
By far the best chaat I've had in South Bay. We have been coming here for the past 15 years. We used to go to their corner in New India Bazaar, but once it stopped, we started going here. Pro-tip is to tell them your traveling with it and they will package everything separately and then you can mix it at home. I don't have a spice tolerance so they always pack extra tamarind sauce for me. My go-to is the kachori chaat, bhel puri, and pani puri. 10/10!! Can't recommend more.

A R.

Yelp
If you love spicy Indian chaats and golgappas (as they call them in Delhi), you don't need to look any further. This is the best Indian chaat place in the Bay Area. Aunty's special sauces being added to chaats make all the difference. I have been visiting this place for the past 10 years and I have not found another chaat place that could beat their taste.
google avatar

Wahed S.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the past 5 years and have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! The Chaat is unlike any other place in the Bay Area, and is my family's go-to whenever we have our cravings. The people here are amazing and I highly recommend the Dahi sev puri!
google avatar

Ashish B.

Yelp
Horrible! They take only cash. Won't give you receipts. Pani puri is a whopping $9. That's 6 puris for $9! Two of the puris were broken. The taste was strictly meh. Alright so they make you order and pay upfront. So we had ordered a few more items. So we got our Raj Kachori. Had cold potato and a bad mix of chutneys. There was no water jugs or taps anywhere. Zero. Like absolutely zero customer service. We threw away $30 in 15 minutes and felt cheated and insulted. We will avoid this place like a plague!
google avatar

Yvonne C.

Yelp
We have been frequenting this place for years & love the food. My daughter loves their food & the ladies who prepare it & has enjoyed the food since a young age. She's been away at college & moved to Sac & the owners remember her & ask about her whenever I frequent. We were visiting family in the Bay Area & stopped by for chaat, they were surprised to see my daughter all grown up & were so warm & kind to us. We had a feast & thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thank you Aunties, you are do amazing! Pani poori, Sev poori...it's all sooooo good!
google avatar

Monis M.

Yelp
Best tasting chat place in the Bay Area. It"s taste like North Indian Delhi / western UP chaat - I have tried chats at other places but none taste as close to authentic as Thai place. Must try!

Krishna B.

Yelp
We had Thalis with the option to choose between dal and kadhi. Glad we tried both. Like mama's home cooked food - delicious!
google avatar

Rajinder S.

Yelp
The best chaat we've had in a long time! The Pani Puri/Golgappe are the best in the entire WORLD. They serve them to you while you stand, if you prefer, or at your table. Papdi Chaat, Chhole Bature and Mix Chaat are some of my other favorites from the menu there. They do offer other favorites such as Tikki Chhole, various paranthas, thaali (really nice home cooked meal), etc. I've been coming to their locations for 25+ years and the quality has stayed very consistent throughout. The service is awesome as the aunties there are really willing to engage with their customers on what exactly they're looking for and will make off-menu combinations to your choice if it's not too busy. The ambiance is nice and clean. A perfect spot to get some work done or call into a meeting or two as they offer free WiFi.
google avatar

Mandakini M.

Yelp
I think this is the best pani puri and papdi chaat in the Bay Area. Have tried many and haven't found one as good as this. Have been going for many years and it's still as delicious as it used to be! Prices are expensive but that's the case with all chaat nowadays.
google avatar

Niti J.

Yelp
Food and service is exceptional, always enjoyed Pani puri here for last 19 years. First time tried Chole Bhature and Khasta Kachori with Aloo and it was exceptional. They modified as per our preference and my FIL who is visiting is raving to the whole family. Love it. Forgot to take pics, will do it next time.
google avatar

Kurush D.

Yelp
Paani puri and papdi chaat are the best I've had in the Bay Area! All dishes we had felt freshly prepared and were all delicious! One of the best places to get good chaat in the bay!
google avatar

Lily F.

Yelp
Updated review Still serving amazing Chaat's. Besides the bhel puri and pani puri, I also tried the sev puri today. Totally yummy. If you want to order, you go to the counter and write your name and order on a notepad and give it to them. They'll make you pay then and they'll call your name when ready. They do a lot of to go so they do an excellent job of packing things for you. Tell them how soon you'll be eating so they can decide to put the sauce on the side. I noticed they sell Indian ice cream here too, so save room for dessert. Yes it's still cash only, but the prices and quality are well worth the effort.

Gaurang M.

Yelp
Loved the Pani puri, they adjust it according to your spice tolerance. I had an order to go and still tasted good the next day ! The Bhel puri and Pav Bhaji were also great. I liked the paneer tikka masala , Rajma, kadhi and aloo gobhi dishes which come in the Thali. Definitely recommend if you are craving chaat !
google avatar

Bijay K.

Yelp
Expensive. $8.99 for just 6pices of pani puri. Chaat is average. Overall I found this place below average.
google avatar

divya s.

Yelp
Loved their pani puri, one of the best I've had in bay area. All the chaats we had were really good. And their thali is definitely a must try. They also serve falooda which is quite good.

Amanpreet T.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic chats then you should definitely gI've been going to this place for YEARS and the food has been consistently the same. It's family owned and the aunties that work there are so sweet. The chaat to me is the closest thing to the ones you get off the streets in India. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Ireene M.

Yelp
Worst pani place Way to expensive no wonder it's empty Will never return here Lady was so rude
google avatar

Kinjal N.

Yelp
Chatpatta Corner's pani puri, the fresh chaat, parathas, thaalis. Everything is just amazing. We have been coming to eat here for nearly twenty years and haven't been disappointed with the quality of the food. The owner really devotes her time and energy to making food as fresh and especially close to India's street food as possible. Highly recommend Chatpatta Corner and their restaurant in Newark!
google avatar

Nidhi P.

Yelp
WORST FOOD IN FREMONT. the lady working here was nice. But the food, oh my god! It was just so horrible. We got the bhel, in which the sev was stale(gone bad) so it ruined the whole taste of the bhel. Got the pav bhaji which was so bad. We saw the lady pull it out of the fridge to heat it up. Which Is fine but the taste was just so bad. Also tried the Thali. Worst gobi sabji ever. OH MY GOD. I'll just stop now and tell you not to waste your time and MONEY here. Everything was super expensive here for the shitty experience. Not worth the money at all. If you're looking for the best Thali experience in Fremont, then do check out lovely sweets. Another thing that baffled my mind was how this place wastes so much paper. They want you to write your order down on this big piece of paper which is so unnecessary. Overall, a shitty experience.
