Focaccia sandwiches, cereal cookies, Guinness cake, pizza

"Chatsworth Bakehouse’s line is less of a queue and more a convention of people who take Guinness cake seriously. Cereal cookies are talked about in hushed tones and the Trek-wielding Crystal Palace local next to you is more than happy to give the lowdown on the perfect order—foccacia will feature. Set an alarm for 12:20pm on Monday and refresh the pre-order page until you see the sandwich drop, then load up your basket ahead of time. At 12:30pm you can order. We found that using Google or Apple Pay saves precious seconds. Aim for Wednesday or Thursday pick-up days. Scrapping for Friday is a fool’s game. If you miss out, consider the walk-in menu—we’d suggest arriving 20 or so minutes before they open." - jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley

"If you can get on board with Chatsworth Bakehouse’s ruthless ordering system, this is an excellent sandwich. Thick, dimpled wedges of focaccia have golden, crispy crusts and hold weekly changing fillings. Previous sandwiches have included tuna with a creamy basil and garlic aioli, chilli artichokes, and tangy balsamic shallots. Just know that this Crystal Palace bakery doesn't have any seats inside. But this is a lunch we’d hunch against a wall for. Set an alarm for 12:20pm on Monday and refresh the pre-order page until you see the sandwich drop, then load up your basket ahead of time. "We’re big fans of the original Chatsworth Bakehouse—a postage stamp-sized bakery in Crystal Palace where focaccia sandwiches sell out online in 60 seconds. Their new location is just three doors down. Pre-orders will still be collected from the original location, and 116 will be a walk-in bakery." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
