Best Restaurants With Gorgeous Views of the River | Eater Atlanta

"With a name like that, how could you not have waterfront views? Chattahoochee Coffee Company is locally owned, with three locations, two of which sit on the namesake river. Come for the scenery but stay for the Counter Culture coffee and pastries made by H&F Bread and Ratio Bakeshop, which make it a coworking favorite. The Vinings location is located within an apartment complex, so note that access can be limited." - Caroline Eubanks

Just checked this spot out. It is located within an Apartment complex. I was able to parallel park on the side of the road across the street from the coffee shop with no problems. There was a gentleman working. He was nice enough. I opted for the lavender oat milk latte (hot) with an apple muffin. He advised the muffins are not made in house but by a local bakery. My total was a little under $12.00. There was nothing memorable about the drink or the muffin. I think this is more suited for the people who live in the area. I don’t see a need to drive her to enjoy coffee. You can find comparable coffee anywhere in the city. The good- the decor is nice. There were a decent amount of people working. As such, I guess it’s a good spot for those working remote and seeking a different environment.

I had been wanting to check this place out for over a year since moving to Mableton a year ago; visited around mid-May with my sister. The Shop and Service - The shop was clean, nice decor and ambiance. Service was good. Food and Beverage - I got an iced coffee and my sister got a regular coffee (decaf I think). We tried it when we got home - the coffee tasted TERRIBLE, was extremely weak, and had a strange after taste; my sister said hers was like brown flavored water. The pastries we got were okay; I've had Kroger pastries that tasted better. Maybe we just had high expectations from a "coffee company"; maybe it was just a bad brew and stale pastries that day; maybe others will have better luck.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company is a stylish coffee house in an apartment complex. It's bright and cheerful. I got an latte over ice, hubby got iced coffee. Both were okay. The second visit we got a cortado and a hot latte. Both were tasty. There were free electric car chargers in the parking lot in the back of the building. We used them to charge up our hybrid.

I go out of my way to go to this location. It's a great, quiet location, with plenty of parking. Aaron is always ready to serve and create a wonderful experience for us when we come in. He makes the drive worth it. Definitely my favorite coffee shop to go to.

The cafe was very cute and the person who took my order was nice and helpful. I enjoyed my macchiato and coffee cake. I will definitely be coming back here another time!!

Google
Awesome cafe with ample parking in the back of the building and lots of seating inside! The atmosphere was perfect for a catch-up with friends, reading, or studying as it was very spacious and quiet. Staff were very friendly and the shop had some unique merchandise. Low stress cafe in the Atl area, so I’ll definitely be back.

I love this cafe! Whatever drink you order it's going to be good. The customer service is always outstanding. I've tried many combinations of drink flavors and they are always so good. G

This was a delightful experience. The service was friendly and my cappuccino was yummy. The sitting area inside had a calm and peaceful vibe and there is also seating outside on the sidewalk. This is a great place to meet a friend or to rest up after a stroll along the Chattahoochee River, which is literal feet away.

Yelp
Cutest and the views?? Unreal. Service is always good. The drinks are sooooo good. I stay a bit far but it's worth the drive for me.

Yelp
Very cute! stumbled upon this place by accident looking for a quick coffee shop near Austell and I'm very happy. GPS directed us this way. Community coffee shop in the middle of a planned rental community with our ground floor shops and resturant's. The atmosphere is upbeat and filled with [Neighbors] chatting and dropping in for a quick bite. Seating varies between one large communal table, barstool seating, and a few lounge chairs, but there are also plenty of shaded outdoor seating. Sunday service was a little slow as there is only one barista however she is pleasant and her sunny demeanor made the wait worth it . My lavender latte was tasty with a nutty flavor! SMOOTH. I find their prices to be very affordable and reasonable . Looking forward to returning with my husband in order to take some of their Spanish style small bites .

Yelp
I had an oat milk macchiato and an espresso. Both were pretty good. The espresso wasn't too strong and didn't have much depth to the flavors but was not bitter or too acidic. Definitely a spot I'd frequent if I lived in this apartment complex.

Yelp
Incredible lawn, very very good drip coffee. Special spot to sit and read on a morning off. Reasonably good service for a high end coffee shop.

Yelp
Great location with parking on the street or at the back. Service was super friendly and was served a delicious iced matcha and they had unsweetened oat milk yay me! I met my strategy coach there for a session and she loved it as well!

Yelp
This was one of the more productive times I've had doing work at a coffee shop. It was a nice, chill environment and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The cobalt blue chairs w/ accented red patterns made for a nice feel with a slightly western edge. I also appreciated the baristas professionalism. Plus my iced latte was great, especially considering it was made with plant-based milk. Sometimes soy, almond, or oatmilk lattes can feel a bit thin to taste, but not this one. I enjoyed every sip. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
I love this quaint coffee shop. Ive tried several brews. My fav is the lavender latté. Service is always prompt and staff is friendly. Plenty of space to work if you decide to do so.

Yelp
Wanted to mention that my wife and I appreciate Phillip a lot! Always very cordial and prompt, happy to assist us. Coffee is great and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Decent coffee but not exceptional. However I might try other items when I come back. Service was nice and the ambiance/atmosphere as well

Yelp
Quiet place for coffee and weekend catch-ups. Stumbled onto this place while my friend and I were waiting for LT's Wings to open. Located in the middle of a new apartment development in Smyrna, Chattahoochee Coffee Company at The Eddy is well appointed, like somebody's spacious living room, but with smaller rooms you can rent if you need to do serious work. When we were here around 11:30 am on a Saturday morning there were only 4 other people inside, including the barista. I know that Smyrna isn't exactly the busiest part of the Greater ATL area, but if this is what it looks like on a random Saturday morning, I'm guessing this spot is probably perfect if you want to get away from the world and do some work for a few hours. It's quiet like a library, but with much comfier seating and delicious beverages available for consumption. The drinks here are solid: I got an iced chai latte and my friend ordered a hot dirty chai; both had enough sugar and caffeine to set us up right quick for the day. There are so many great coffee places all over the area, but if I had to pick one spot to do serious work for a chunk of hours, this would be the place.

Yelp
I have now been to this location a few times, and wanted to address a few things. I have previously left a google review, and figured I would add to Yelp as well. Firstly, this location might not be as picturesque as the other two, however it more than makes up for it with service and quality. In my time visiting, the service with the blonde white man has been top notch; he has remembered mine and others orders, and is always in a good mood. My partner and I have come in other days. There seems to be only two baristas which is nice. The other young man is quiet, but still makes good drinks! Things to order: The Quiche is delicious, Vanilla Late with oat milk, my partner swears by their hot Chocolate. Don't sleep on this little coffee shop in the leasing office!

Yelp
The quiche was fire but the best part was the service and the lavendar late we got from Phillip Aaron. He was super jolly to every customer who walked in the door. His personality is a great one to start your day off on a positive note. Idk how he's like that so early, but my bf and i both appreciated it. We just moved to the area so we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This Chattahoochee Coffee is their newest location and is located at the base of The Eddy on Riverview Landing, one of Smyrna's newest apartment developments located on Riverview Road which connected Veterans Memorial and South Cobb Drive. It sits closer to the VM end of Riverview, but again you can access by both sides. With this location, this development is the first in this immediate area, so when you are on your way you will probably question if you are in the right area...rest assured that you are, the Eddy will pop up out of nowhere soon! Chattahoochee Coffee sits at the front of The Eddy and is the first business you see when you cruise through. They have a few dedicated spots in front and on the side, but more than likely you will need to swing around to the lot in the rear where parking is plentiful. The inside of this place is beautiful! In addition to the gorgeous coffee bar, they have multiple areas of seating that include lush and comfy chairs if you are interested in relaxing while you sip or they have tables and spaces that allow you to work/school, etc...Additionally, they do have a small patio out front that is dog friendly. Coolest thing about the patio? It has a walk up window, so if you have a pup and are by yourself, you don't have to leave them while you get your fix...just pop up to the window and get all your goods! Service was phenomenal as well. We were greeted immediately upon entry and when she discovered we had a dog, she informed us about the walk up window to make life easier. There she fielded questions we had and took our requests, even slightly off menu and made them into delish cups of coffee goodness. Per usual, I scooped up an Iced Mocha and it was absolutely delightful! In addition to the interior and patio, the full Eddy complex has a cool walking trail along the 'Hooch that features an elevated picnic/dining area, as well as multiple tables and benches in the grass areas. Overall, this is my go-to location for Chattahoochee Coffee Company at this point!

Yelp
Best music playlist of any coffee shop I've been to. Random, I know. But that matters! I would honestly give this 5 stars but the space is a bit small because it's attached to a leasing office. I ordered an iced vanilla latte (half sweet) with oat milk and it was pretty good! The man behind the counter was super sweet and accommodating. They gave free WiFi and I was able to get a good amount of work done before it got too crowded mid-day.

Yelp
Up early running errands and needed a morning jolt so I stopped at Chattanooga Coffee Company Eddy Location. This is the 3rd location which is new and very beautifully decorated. When you walk in you are hit by the wonderful aroma of coffee that is so intoxicating. I was there pretty early in the morning so there was no other customers inside. Upon entering I was greeted by a lovely barista who was very warm, friendly and happy to go over the menu and make recommendations. I asked if there was a flavor of the month and was told pumpkin spice so I decided to try the latte. Unfortunately the latte wasn't very strong but had delightful flavor. I also tried a spinach and mozzarella pastry that was very savory and good. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop in and try their other coffee flavors.

Yelp
I just moved around the corner and I love the quality craft coffee as I am a self proclaimed coffee snob. I do feel that the prices are .... Yeah. But I also understand that prices are up everywhere and that you will pay extra for quality things. The last time I was there the barista was so nice and accommodating. The decor is cozy and the bathroom is big lol I like the decor there as well.

Yelp
A great addition to this local franchise. This location has a steady flow of local residents and people passing through. It has a very nice modern obvious weather working remotely or grabbing a quick cup of Joe. The flavors are standard and the prices are fair. I opted for the white chocolate mocha which was not overly sweet and still had enough caffeine to start your day. The young barista was sweet and answer any questions if any patriots had any. Definitely a low-key spot with street parking available to check out if in the area. ~FOODis£0¥€ (For a visual of the inside of this place as well as others be sure to check out AtlFoodGoals on IG and TikTok)

Yelp
This is definitely a hidden gem as there were only a few people here. It's located at The Eddy apart complex but open to non residents! Came in on a Sunday around 11 AM. Lots of street parking as well as parking in the back. There is a trail right behind the parking lot so great for walking. Bring your furry friends! They have a walk up window outside. Ambiance was lovely inside. If I worked remotely I'd definitely spend time here. The barista working was super friendly and helpful! Get the Rosemary vanilla latte, delicious.

Yelp
Cute place with good coffee and sweet smoothies. It is inside an apartment complex so just be aware of that.

Yelp
The atmosphere was lovely, restroom was super clean, and best of all was the barista who gave top notch service. He was so kind to every customer that walked in. You just don't get that excellence in customer service anymore. The bagel was fresh and delicious! My first visit was on Saturday 11/11. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Great little find! Come get your coffee y'all. Tho we came here for the beer which is right around the corner. Loved the smell of the fresh beans. Location is across good for residents here who can enjoy their java sitting along the Chattahoochee River, a pristine and untouched river moving slowly. Perfect for tubing in the summer.

Yelp
Has a lot of coffee-forward options (which is great!!) The barista was super sweet and the coffee was delicious. We tried some of the croissants and they were buttery, flakey, and satisfying! The coffee (quad-shot latte with lavender) was perfect, not too sweet but could still taste the lavender. Cool location and good coffee.

Yelp
Our barista, Tre, helped my child and I have a wonderful time at this coffee shop today. He was patient, kind, and made sure we had a pleasant experience at the shop. The shop also had peaceful music and a beautiful atmosphere. We had a great visit!

Yelp
Holy smokes. One of the best chai lattes I've ever had honestly. Quiet fast friendly service

Yelp
We're visiting Atlanta for the week and I found this cute little coffee shop at the edge of Smyrna. The shop is small and cutely decorated and quiet enough to have work meetings. I ordered a brown sugar spice oat milk latte and a quad espresso. The latte is amazing. The perfect amount of espresso (I got a quad in it) and flavor mixed perfectly with the oat milk that was steamed to the right temperature. The my husband's espresso was just a tasty.

Yelp
I always get served fresh, clean-tasting coffee! I love their lavender and honey latte and flavor add-in options. Really nice interior, that's quiet for studying or relaxing.

Yelp
While I won't go out of my way to go here if I was in the area would go back. Nice coffee and snacks, and very nice staff. I hate plastic and paper and get it with covid but if other countries can have less infections and deaths and still use real cup's then why am I given this reason? Really lovely decor. It was occupied by people working on their laptops so zero atmosphere. I hope this doesn't continue as it's really lovely. My friend ate some of their food items, snacks really but he said they were great. This area has lots of apartments so lots of activity. Free parking. Closes early.

Yelp
A very fitting name for this poor establishment. At such a time sensitive part of the day why must i wait over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged at this coffee bar only to have snarky remarks made to me after what seems to be by the only employee there who apparently just took a big dump in the nearby restroom. Let's have a little more pose when serving paying customers. Any who i took my business elsewhere.

Lisa S. C.

Yelp
I went there Sunday at around 4pm and ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie, first the drink was not good, all the puré had sink down in my cup and the flavor wasn't that good. I drank some of it and an hour later I get FOOD POISONING. I had to use the bathroom immediately! And that was the only thing I had during the afternoon. I don't know you get a smoothie wrong or if they clean that well. Don't order smoothies here

Mike W.

Yelp
Great cortado's! Beautiful latte art as well! (Wish I took a picture before I took a sip haha)

Yelp
Great coffee. We had an iced latte and kids steamer. Simple menu to order online and get curbside or to-go. You use an app called Cloosiv to order. Very simple and straight forward pickup coordination. We did have to call in as we our order wasn't alerting, this seems to be a new system and I'm sure they will have this down in no time. Friendly staff. Recommended if you're visiting near the Eddy and looking to support a local business.

Yelp
i ordered a lavender iced latte and a dirty chai they were both so amazing! the barista informed me that they actually make the lavender flavor themselves and you can definitely tell it didn't taste like your average lavender it had a subtle sweet taste and it was really earthy the espresso on both drinks was perfect such a smooth cup. i would definitely go if you are looking for a nice calm clean shop to enjoy.

Mannie H.

Yelp
The barista that helped me was friendly and helpful. I got a yummy iced latte for the road, and I was very pleased with it. We live only a mile or two from here and will definitely return!

Fatima H.

Yelp
Simple coffee shop with great decor. The coffee is good, ambiance is good. And it's not jam packed with people. Perfect kinda place foe me.

Sarah S.

Yelp
This place is so welcoming! I actually do go out of my way to go here, because of the beautiful seating area and work spaces, and of course the proximity to gorgeous river views, great barbecue, and Reformation Brewery.
