"One option is the newly opened Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, which I consider the best in town. Set on the shores of lovely Chautauqua Lake, the hotel features a satellite exhibit from the comedy center in the lobby and offers a package that includes tickets to the museum."

Had to change travel plans and luckily found this gem. Beautiful setting and the hotel staff were excellent and attentive, along with great amenities. Each floor has its own Starbucks coffee station (clean, neatly and organized) near the elevators. Well done to the owners, operators, and staff. Enjoyed the time spent here.

We stayed here over the weekend for vacation. It has beautiful grounds with lots of outside seating, covered and uncovered, and over the water, and fire pits by the water. They even have a little putting green back there. There was plenty of free parking (although both nights there was an event held in the hotel banquet room so parking lot was pretty full but there was still parking available). The Carousel bar was not open at the end of April so there weren't a lot of people back there. Would have been nice to get a stone fired pizza from it, but no food was available until May (the inside restaurant was open but we didn't eat at it). We did visit the inside bar two nights and Derek the bartender, was great. Limited selection so can't make a lot of cocktails, but there is certainly something for everyone available.||The guy working the front desk at Friday afternoon check in was very welcoming and friendly. We encountered him another time and he was great then too. The girl at the front desk that checked us out was also great and thanked us for our stay. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The balcony door was nice to open up.||The only issues with the room were the beds. They are super firm mattress so they are so hard to sleep on. We got no sleep and had to keep getting up to sit on the sofa during the night because our back and hips hurt so badly. I know some people like a firm mattress that is like sleeping on the floor, but I just don't get it!. The other issue is the air condition system. We had to drop it to 65-66 degrees to keep the room to what felt like the 72 degrees I keep in my house on. Maybe it just needs some coolant?||The housekeeping staff did a great job of cleaning and providing all items and services needed. They even turn down the beds at night, put chocolates on the pillows, and have music playing for when you return for the night. We passed several cleaning staff in the halls and they were all very friendly.||The area the hotel is in does leave a lot to be desired. A lot of dilapidated homes, boarded up, and trash around. Jamestown is only a few minutes away and is the town area for shopping needs and restaurants. At the end of April nothing is open at the resort or the marina so there is nothing to do but sit and relax (indoor pool and fitness room are open). It rained most of our visit so not a lot of time sitting outside enjoying the grounds.

We love Chatauqua Harbor Hotel! I can't tell you the number of times we've been here. We started staying during the pandemic and try to visit at least once a year. We went earlier than usual this year, so some hotel things, as well as town things, weren't open yet for the season. This time we splurged and stayed in the 2 room king suite with 2 patios and jacuzzi tub for 4 nights. For meals, we ordered room service for breakfast twice and for dinner once. The first night we arrived we were seated in the bar area for dinner because the restaurant had been used for the Mother's Day buffet - the menu was a little limited but we were able to get everything we wanted. The second night we ate in the restaurant with the full menu. The food is always very good! I can't say enough about all of the staff! Before our stay I arranged for some bed steps and a shower stool and they were both in the room when we arrived. One thing I do want to know is who are you paying for your sunsets??? They are exquisite.

Come & stay. Everything you want or need to relax is there! -- No. It was very nice. -- Marilyn at the front desk was wonderful at answering all of our questions. -- Plan on going again when returning May 21, 2024 with friend for a conference on May 22. -- Very helpful with all questions, directions, ideas, etc..... -- Soft towels. Love the robes in the closet! -- Beautiful rooms, beds...pillows & covers...shower....dressers & couch, etc..... -- We felt very comfortable and welcomed the whole time....at check in, during event, at the bar, and for breakfast in the morning. -- Plan on using hot tub next time I come!

Came for the March 2024 Murder Mystery weekend (murdermystery.com). I’ve been to a few of these weekends at quite a few different hotels and resorts, and this is most definitely the best place I’ve stayed as far as quality in any category. From the room, to the food, the overall atmosphere. I thought this place was phenomenal from the moment I arrived, I immediately felt it was well worth the road trip and then some. The property and building is stunning, even in early-middle March, when I arrived in a rainstorm and left in a snowstorm. Not ideal conditions for a lake by any means, so the impressiveness of this hotel is at least doubled, I think. I spent a lot of my weekend just enjoying the comfort of my room. The food was absolutely fantastic. DJ at the front desk was incredibly professional at all times. The closest thing I have to a complaint is that the hot tub is NOT a “hot tub” as much as it is lukewarm. But I think that a supposed hot tub turning out to be a small heated pool is not nearly enough to ruin how wonderful my stay was. Genuinely cannot say enough good things about the atmosphere of this place, the setting, the layout, the food, and every staff member I encountered seemed so wonderful. I would 100% choose this place for a wedding, vacation, what have you after the weekend I spent here. I’d love to see what it’s like in-season if it’s this incredible off-season. They’re going for luxurious and they certainly had me sold.

Great location. very nice clean rooms. Great bathroom. Good service. They have a very nice pool and gym area. The restaurant has very good food. The views of Chautauqua lake are beautiful. The only complaint is hw loud the mini fridge is, we had to unplug it at night to sleep
