"In this enchanting family establishment, open since 1852, you can choose between a stylish dining room dripping in plush details (round, white tableclothed tables, silverware, coffered ceiling, wainscoting and a fireplace) or an idyllic alfresco terrace in fine weather. Chef Fabien Capogna crafts a savvily updated classical score, illustrated by crunchy, lacquered sweetbread, melt-in-the-mouth carrots, tangy seasoning and red port wine. Madame Chavant, who supervises the front-of-house, can be relied upon to greet each guest warmly and individually in line with the house motto: the customer is always right! The spacious guestrooms and pool may well entice you to stay longer…" - Michelin Inspector

A traditional French restaurant just few Kms from Grenoble. Classy but familiar, offering excellent food and wine for a lunch or dinner with the family, with friends, or for business. Highly recommended!!!

One of the best small hotels in France, in a fabulous, quiet location overlooking Grenoble and soaring mountains. We have been staying here for over ten years, en route through France, and this is invariably one of the hotels choose . |It is consistently top level, yet relaxed and very welcoming. To us it is almost like coming home. It is comfortably old fashioned, eccentrically decorated, often amusingly so, with a myriad of ornaments which change for the season. Christmas is a special time here, with the added attraction of the log fire. The young staff are always attentive and efficient. Of course the restaurant is its mainstay , being much loved in the city, and we always eat well here , with a good wine list to choose from.

Returning from a hectic trip down thru Italy this was a gem to find and recuperate. The most beautiful village location for a glorious restaurant hotel. We had the lobster tasting menu and it is some of the best food I have ever eaten If you are within 100km go here to eat and stay. A great team that were so lovely we will definitely return

Purchased a ‘Groupon’ voucher for a special offer at the ‘Chavant Hotel’ near Grenoble and stayed there early November. The hotel is a member of the ‘Châteaux & Hôtels Collection’ group.||||On the way there we stopped in Chambéry, a nice town with a pedestrian area and loads of shops!! Late afternoon we arrived in the small village where the hotel is situated. Cute, oldie worldie and charming house with a small reception area, a cosy lounge area with a real fire place, a dining room also with a real fire place. The decoration is exactly as you see it in the internet… like in an old manor house. There is a terrace with old trees where you also could eat in summer and quite a big pool (which was of course covered at this time of the year), sun beds, etc. Pretty, romantic garden – would have been nice to be there in summer!||||Our room was a nice size with a big double bed, lounge table, sofa, separate dressing area. Modern bathroom with everything you need (tropical forest type shower) and separate WC. Big terrace overlooking the fields and front entry of the hotel. ||||After a nice glass of champagne, we sat down for dinner – gourmet menu with 7 courses. We must admit that we loved some of the dishes but some we disliked quite a bit as, for our taste, they were far too heavy/greasy. Impressive wine card but so were the prices as well. We nevertheless found a good light French red wine for Euro 42 which is quite correct in such a place. Service was friendly and easy going.||||Everyone was very helpful and friendly.||||All in all we enjoyed our stay in this special, romantic atmosphere and would love to go back in the summer when the garden is in full bloom and we can use the pool.
