Che Argentine Grill

Great rustic spot, the staff were great and we asked for recommendations which they were happy to provide. We ordered the spider steak sandwich and the prime rib, which were good. A bit underwhelming for the price. Enjoyed the chips but would also like an option to swap for a salad.

One of the, if not the best meal I’ve had in SA 🇿🇦 I’m a huge live fire cooking and Che Argentine didn’t disappoint. Service was first class, thank you T. The owner (I assume) was very welcoming. Door man ensured family felt safe. Can’t wait to return. 🔥🔥🔥

Disappointing experience. Over cooked, low quality taste meats. Can't swap out the dry over fried, hollow crunchy chips for another side (pork belly and chips dont go well, need something to balance). The pork belly is too salty. I couldn't eat it with the salty chips or finish it. The beef schnitzel left much to be desired for my partner, unfortunately. Discarded our leftovers and regretted trying the place out for the prices. Great service, chill vibe, like the fireplace. Parking is a bit dodgy.

Rustic charm meets authentic Argentinian flavour at Che Argentine! We had lunch in this moody, industrial-style space with an open flame oven and vintage decor. The portions are massive, the steaks juicy with incredible chimichurri, and the chips? Deeeeeelicious! Great service and a stellar wine list round it all off.

Truly Argentinine cuisine...the rustic display of the decor is flamboyant and original. Had a ribeye steak that was well seasoned and tender. A beautiful fireplace warmed up the place on cold winter day. The service was top-notch and friendly. Highly recommended, will take you right into Argentina ☺️

Just had dinner at this argentinian restaurant we discovered thanks to TikTok and OMG — what a gem! Honestly, super recommended not just for meat lovers, but also for fish and even vegeterian dishes. We started with a few cocktails & appetizers and they were absolutely delicious. The meat empanadas were fresh and flavorful, the gambas al ajillo were super tasty, and the chorizo — wow, a real star. At first, the portions seemed small, but once the main courses arrived, we realized the appetizers were perfectly sized. For the mains, everything was top-notch. From the lomo to the ojo de bife — all cooked to perfection. But the real standout was the arañitaa — incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. One of us had fish, which came in a very generous portion and was just as delicious. The desserts looked amazing, but unfortunately, we were way too full to try them. If you're looking for delicious food, a beautiful setting, and friendly service, this is the place to go. Super recommended!

Delicious steak, the wood fire gives the grilled meat a delicious smoky flavour. I had succulent lamb rump, which I highly recommend. My husband had rib eye on the bone, which was also excellent. The ceviche and marrow bones to start were also great. Lovely wood stove makes it cozy in winter. There’s also an outdoor courtyard for summer.

The quality of the meat was excellent—tender, flavorful, and ideal for someone who enjoys a rare doneness. Next time, I’d opt for medium to better suit my preference. However, the salad wasn’t as fresh as expected, which was a bit disappointing. Given the price, it would have been nice if the meat was accompanied by some sides to enhance the overall experience.
