We love ❤️ Cheap Skate for roller skating 🛼 🛼. Like, our six year old daughter was the only kid on her Cheap Skate field trip who could roller skate since she had roller skated at Cheap Skate several times, already. We also think roller skating got her selected into Rosedale’s advanced ice skating ⛸️ program this year; our daughter is also doing really well with mountain biking too! So we’re thankful Cheap Skate is part of our neighborhood; it’s been a great place for our daughter to perfect the kind of fast paced balancing, and reaction skills, that are essential to many different sports.

Wonderful overall experience by staff very friendly and accommodating to the needs of family of all ages. The birthday spot was perfect and accommodated a large group! My only critique is easy access to beverages (water) and providing additional plates, napkins and silverware. We spent time asking for additional items from the kind staff. Perhaps having a point person for support. Of note: The lines of entrance are long and elderly family members awaiting free entrance were mainstreamed in large crowd perhaps a simpler process for non-skating participants in a birthday group.

What did I get myself for a Birthday present this year? New skates and a fantastic voyage on Adult Night. Kids are great, but no pile-ups and wanted to have fun and I sure did. I have rented skates for decades and the difference with my own was like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes. I brought my ear buds and used them 50% of the time to Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll to my own jams. Clean facility, smooth floor, and nobody flexing as I was the new guy at this rink. Entertaining and the price is affordable. Keep up the awesome option for 18+! Update, I have been to the weekly options of the adult skate sessions. I am thrilled Cheap Skate values the adult crowd as well as the youth. My five stars still holds true 7/2025. Update 08/2025 I love the adult skate sessions so much. Of the 3 rinks within an hour drive from home, this one checks all the boxes for me. Clean, great floor, various adult only sessions, good Air Conditioning, and amazing blend of expressive skaters & first timers. (I still headphone because about 50 years of performing has a funky song list that would make most DJ’s blush.) Final days of August 2025 and a fresh surface on the rink! I was beyond thrilled but some folks complained it was too smooth or smelled like paint! For real! Pics of the floor before I hopped in and had it for about 15 minutes all to myself! Absolutely dreamy on an Adult Skate Session. Try it. You’ll love it.

I took the adult beginner class. The staff was extremely friendly and gave good advice. I quickly became a better skater. And it was incredibly cheap. Recommended! The skates were maybe not the best quality, not sure. Early in the evening they do not have the arcade machines on for some reason.

Fun atmosphere. The music eh, normal secular but that’s fine. We have been there 3 times with kids. No complains yet. They have lockers to rent which are pricey$5/$7 but you can open and close them non stop. There is a bouncy house for kids not wanting to skate. They have a plastic pipe thing for kids that need assistance with skating, it’s$6 to rent. Skate rental is $8 & admission is $8 There are a few tables that fill up quickly near the skating rink if you’re skating , to jump on and off the rink. Games to play, food ,free water. Over all it’s an enjoyable experience.
