Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

We moved to the area recently and saw there was a Cheddar’s nearby. We have been to a Cheddar’s before and loved it. It was not too busy, it seemed. We came in for a sort of late dinner, we arrived close to 7:30. We were seated immediately and Owen was our server. I ordered the grilled pork chops with corn and a loaded baked potato. The honey butter croissants were amazing as usual. The grilled pork chops were delicious. They were very tender and not dry, which can be tough to achieve with pork chops. The sauce was good and the grilled onions tasted great. The corn was good, and the loaded baked potato was amazing. The atmosphere and environment here is very comfortable. The prices are decent and the service was great as well!

The food wasn't seasoned good, and the portion size seemed to be smaller than the Georgia and Indiana Cheddar's. The prices are still reasonable.

The food was great and the service was amazing our sever Sam was really great . He checked in and made sure everything was good and got our food in a timely manner. Great hospitality really helpful we had a great time would come back agian

Excellent food and dessert. Price great also 3rd visit tonight food was ok took long time to get it and bland taste. Lots of tables not bused dirty dishes all over. Not what we are use to...

Croissants are a very unique addition. Servers have always been attentive and catered to the needs of myself and my significant other. App sampler is a huge go to and the steak is notably tasty. Fish tank by the bar is also great and something I love to see and would ask to be seated near.

Food was Cheddar's vibe. Service could have been better. Drinks won't get you tipsy so don't spend too much for cocktails. Better off just getting a soft drink. I'm from Texas and of course it's bigger and better. Overall wasn't a waste. I'll be back.

I recently visited Cheddar’s and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the temperature inside the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Staff members were gathered around a table, seemingly disengaged, while guests were left standing at the front door for several minutes without acknowledgment. One bright spot was our waiter, who was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about his job. His energy and attentiveness stood out and were reflected in the service he provided. However, the food itself was disappointing. It arrived at room temperature, suggesting it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while before being served. Additionally, several items that were supposed to accompany the meal were unavailable, which further detracted from the dining experience. Overall, it felt as though there was no clear leadership or management presence in the restaurant. The lack of organization and customer service was evident, and it gave the impression that the establishment was being run without proper oversight. Regrettably, I don’t plan to return anytime soon.

Sam was our server tonight. What a wonderful, bright spot he was for our evening! Cheerful, attentive and he went the extra mile to ensure our birthday celebration was absolutely the best!

Service was fast and friendly. Big menu with lunch specials and large selection of cocktails. Large servings of good food.

I was passing through the town and decided to give this establishment a shot. The reviews on google gave this place 4/5 stars, yet Yelp with a great disparity gave this establishment a 2.9/5 stars. So, I came to see if for myself. I ordered the cheese fries that were topped with thick and delicious bacon bites. It was probably the best dish out of my order. Here is where my complaints begin... the service was an absolute 3/10 score. Never once did my server come back and check my table nor refill drinks until I hollered for her to come to my table to get the tab. 1. When I had ordered the chicken fried steak they didn't tell me that they didn't have the country gravy sauce until AFTER they had prepared the meal and brought it to my table. When I told the server that I didn't want the incomplete meal she proceeded to get the manager to come talk to me. The manager "Omar" and I had a honest yet pleasant conversation where I had informed him that several balls were dropped during my dine-in. I told him without the country gravy with my chicken fried steak would taste the same and is not a realistic expectation for anybody who wants that order. I told him had I been made aware earlier while the server was taking my order I would have picked a different entree. He agreed with me. 2. The server attempted to up-charge my bill by adding menu items that I had no idea come with extra costs such as the loaded potato does not come with bacon without an extra surcharge of $1 or that the salads as a side comes with a surcharge of an additional $1. Had the server mentioned that certain sides come with a surcharge I would have made some changes to my order. 3. The other entree that came incomplete was the pork chop entree. It typically comes with a bourbon glaze, but when I got the dish the pork chop was way over cooked and it didn't come with any of the bourbon sauce/glaze. And when I brought it to the server's attention she simply shrugged and walked away - not even asking to see if I would like some after the fact. I feel a lot of the bad experience at this establishment could have been mitigated by better training of the server. Had the server been more attentive, more proactive and more understanding would have saved everybody the headache. And had she own up to her mistakes and attempted to make things right would have made a better experience. Overall, the temporary manager "Omar" saved the day and made it right by listening to my concerns and being receptive. He modified my tab and explained what he did to me, while asking that I give the establishment another chance in the near future. Omar, if you read this review I just want to say how appreciative I am of meeting and speaking with you over my first time experience at Cheddars. I hope there are more folks like you at that establishment. Your exemplary customer service will bring me back to the establishment the next time I am passing through eastern NC.

The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere. It was very busy, so service was a bit slow, but our waitress was kind and friendly. My husband's steak was juicy and well-cooked, but my lemon pepper chicken lacked both lemon and pepper--it was very bland, as was the rice. However, the corn was delicious, and the Caesar salad was a good portion. The highlight of the meal? The warm, flaky croissants with honey butter--they were amazing! Overall, while the staff was great, the food was hit or miss. Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Cheddar's has changed its name but the food hasn't improved since I last visited there when it was just Cheddar's. The lemon pepper chicken looked it had been pounded nearly flat. It was cooked too dry and had very little flavor to it. If you are looking for Trivia Night, it's a good place to go. If you are looking for good food, I search for something else.

I have had two bad experiences with cheddars.. The first one was I ordered a dinner online when I got home the broccoli casserole was missing off my order, I called back to the restaurant to talk to the manager and she stated they were out of the casserole but gave me my order without saying anything, she stated that she would put my money back on my card right then I never received a refund for my order that I did never get the second complaint is me and my daughter went there for dinner one night and sat to the table for 20 minutes while waiting for someone to take our order.. when another waitress came by, we asked her who was our waitress and she pointed her out. we stated she walked by the table 3 times so we decided to leave on our way out the door. She didn't know we was behind her and she made the comment while giggling they must've left , or went to the bathroom. I said to her , no we're right here and you knew we was your table because you walked by our table 3 times and still didn't assist us. I thought that was very unprofessional and racist because we were African-Americans and she was a white waitress.

This was our first time trying Cheddar's and it did not disappoint. Food was hot, service was fantastic, and the restaurant was clean.

It was good food for a great price. They are also open late which is nice. They have a wide selection on their menu.

Hostess picked up the wrapped utensils off the floor and put them in the drawer with the other utensils. (What if a customer wipes their face after eating with that napkin) Hostess helped clean up a table and the unused utensils were taken back to the check-in Podium to serve to other customers. Sat down at 4:47pm, and waited 15 mins for a waitress. Waitress did not introduce herself or apologize for the wait. when she walked up. She walked up to the table and said "can I take your orders?" Didn't get food until 6:03. The food was good

Greenville location. What happened?! I was just here for dinner last week after 6 p.m., and it was great. Here at 5 p.m. today, obviously a shift change but was poor in tables being ready. Moved us to the bar area. Ladies Room dirty. First stall door didn't close. Hope my food is cooked. Honey croissants were leftover from lunch. I never leave a bad review but really poor today

Very long wait to be seated most likely due to staffing because there were tons of empty tables everywhere within the restaurant. That is the ONLY negative thing I can say, after being seated, the waitress was great and the food was delicious! The free croissants were flaky warm and wonderful. The spinach dip was awesome. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo, it's sweet and savory! The food came out fast and everything was cooked perfectly. The kitchen was on point that day and deserves 5 stars, as well as our waitress, I left her extra on the tip! Definitely 5 star service.... The experience at the front of the house with the hostess and long wait -1 star, people were walking out, unfortunately they lost many paying customers.

The food is disgusting, The service sucks, the ambiance sucks. My niece and I went and we are not going back, Told the waitress the food was nasty. She did not do anything about it . We went there months ago.

10/10 the food was scrumptious highly highly recommend. prices were good too and the service was quick and our server was super sweet!

Everything is cooked in a microwave! Asked one of the waitresses if she could remove peppers from my pasta, she then stated that they buy it like that and all they do is warm it up so nothing can be removed.

the food is usually very good. but it's very common for them to run out of stuff. their chicken tenders are good and so is their meatloaf. the servers are all very nice and the place is clean

Chaz was exceptional. In over 20 years of eating at Cheddar's across the country, I would have to put Chaz and the support team at our Chrddar's at the top. This customer centric approach can only come from the top management down! What did Chaz do very well? He welcomed us and made us feel at home as did the checkin lady, who also thanked us on the way out. Chaz gave us special attention and wrote down our special needs, he checked on us often and asked if we needed drink refills. The food came out a little fast after our salads and appetizer but they offered to put my chicken pot pie in the warmer which was a nice treat. Our food came out great and we really enjoyed our meal today. We even asked to speak with the manager to make sure he knew and we could thank him also.

So many good things to say, where do I start?? We were immediately sat down when we got here and the hostess was very nice! Immediately after being sat down at our table a waiter was immediately there introducing herself and taking drink orders, of which she was very patient because we had no idea what we even wanted to drink! Lmbo! After getting drinks and coming to our table a 3rd time because we had no idea what we wanted to eat, of our waiter was extremely patient with a bubbly, cheerful demeanor! After ordering our food, the manager ( Kaci) came to our table to inquire about the experience and to make sure we were being taken care of. I can appreciate when a manager personally comes around to tables. His attitude was so warm, his attention to detail was everything, and his professionalism was astounding. Sooo the food came out and I ordered a 16 Oz T-bone and babbyyy it was giving very much lick your fingers and LICK the plate! I'm extremely picky about my steaks and they nailed it. I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef (Cedric) he was very knowledgeable and pleasant, I will definitely be visiting here when I'm in North Carolina again! The ambiance was very warm and welcoming! The restaurant was decorated nicely!

Really delicious lunch here! We've heard great things about Cheddar's and they did not disappoint! The decor is really interesting - very cool paddle fan. Our server was a wonderful girl who attends ECU, we talked about school and she was just so friendly and cheerful. The butter croissants are phenomenal! Then, we chose steak and the monte cristo for our entrees. Both very good. The standout was the Painkiller - look at that drink! Wowza. It about knocked me off my feet. So delicious and potent! :/ Highly recommend stopping in here - friendly service and very good food. Ample parking and convenient in Greenville.

We drove from Raleigh to come here because we love cheddars. I thought it was gonna be a wait because of the amount of people walking in but we got seated right away. They brought out our complimentary honey croissant rolls which were good. I ordered the Buffalo wrapper which came with 4 and a strawberry swirl margarita. The drink was good as usual the wrapper was ok. We shared a cookie dessert which was ok as well. Our server Dalton was really good and attentive . Can't wait to visit again.

This service is terrible why do y'all even have jobs! You all very lazy the girl said the bar was open and then went to go sit down with a guest and did not greet me with a menu or anything. (I don't care if you're about to get cut from your morning shift STILL DO YOUR JOB) So I got up went to a table the service was even more terrible he didn't put my order in for 10 minutes after I told him what I was ordering. My glass of wine took just as long as my appetizer ( which was about 15 mins) when I finally got the wine the glass was dirty... so overall this place is terrible and this is coming from a Darden employee so I hope y'all get your employees in line because this was a horrible experience. Will not be back and will never recommend.

Left out the major item on my pick up order. They need to check the order. Consistent poor customer service at this location

ROACH ALERT Went here tonight to eat, and while we were sitting at our table we saw a roach crawling on the wall and another couple had one in there both, he was able to kill it I believe. We told our waitress she didn't seemed shocked at all. She said she told the manager. But the manager never came out to Apologize or anything. So it makes me think they know and don't care. It's disgusting and we will not return for a long time.

Decided to stop by Cheddars, Greenville NC for lunch and tried the Grilled Shrimp & Broccoli Alfredo. It was delicious! More than enough on the plate, and the shrimps were plentiful. Definitely will get this again. The staff was superb. My waiter, Greg, was a gem.

So I'm sure these folks have off days, or maybe times of day/week... but just visited for supper and they were great. Walked in and immediately seated. Server was at table in like 3 minutes with their wonderful croissants. And food was at the table in like 10-12 minutes. Maybe the issue is weekday vs weekend, I'm not sure... but I'd almost give them 5 stars. So don't let all the other ratings keep you away.. food and service can for be great

1. Took to long to be greeted at the hostess counter. 2. Asked for food to be wiped out the seat and tried to hand us cleaning materials. 3. Sat in the booth for about 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us, as employees stood and held a conversation by the kitchen. Cheddars used to be really good. Now I see why the parking lot was empty. Id say horrible service but we didn't receive any.

The people at this restaurant are extremely rude and incompetent. I went for take out the other night and sat at the bar for 25 minutes waiting for my food that I had ordered 20 minutes before arriving. There were only 2 others in the bar area when I arrived. I sat there fir 15 minutes before the bartender wot purple hair even spoke to me. I had planned on having a drink but was COMPLETELY ignored. They were not busy at all. Others at the restaurant were ok but none were attentive at all. I was just not treated well at all and will NEVER go back or order from there again. HORRIBLE service and mediocre food at best. They don't even rate a one star

Bottom line... if you don't have all day to wait for a takeout order don't go to Cheddar's. I ordered a salad and got it about an hour later. Big waste of my time.

Nothing to update with my last visit... The service still sucks all the new damned....Unbelievable, really, Unbelievable....I guess there's a reason why other places have 2hrs or more wait times and this place has .5 to 1hr wait.... No refills, no napkins, missing foods, Missing foods turns into we're out.

The hostess and her corny jokes crossed our name off the waiting list because she wants to assume stuff and had no facts to back her up.. so she lied to us about sending the text to let us know our table was ready I've never had any issues with receiving text from cheddars in any location, but tonight she had the wrong people to mess with.. then she tries to check her phone when I act like I'm not watching her.. yeah I saw her raggedy android as she tried to delete the text she never sent.. DON'T COME TO GREENVILLE NC CHEDDARS ON SUNDAY NIGHT.. P.S. I really wanted to put half star rating for the way they acting tonight..

It had been a long time since we ate at Cheddar's even though I have always enjoyed it. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The wait was always so long (usually on a Sunday) and the sanitation score was not good so I checked and the score had improved so husband and I decided to go by and see if it was too crowded. We were greeted nicely by the host and he took as directly to a booth. We were waited on immediately by our wonderful waiter and the food that was brought out was fantastic. We had spinach dip, ribs, salad, sirloin, loaded baked potatoes, and broccoli casserole. I recommend them all! Delicious! I will definitely be going back very soon just have to try and catch it at the right time.

We stopped here today for our first visit. Waitress was great food yummy, especially the 1/2 rack of ribs that melted in your mouth with a delicious BBQ sauce. My wife's steak was cooked perfect but since it was our 1st visit we didn't know the seasonings in the coating bothered my wife's throut as she has had spinal surgery in her neck that really made her throat sensitive to spices. It was redone with no issue and was fantastic! We will be back.

I went in at around 2 this Thursday and it wasn't busy. We were seated quickly and our server was Shelby. She was attentive and prompt. I had the lunch combo, crispy chicken tender soup and a half order of the blackened shrimp alfredo. I had a side of mac and cheese but I wouldn't recommend it. The soup was pretty good, and the shrimp Alfredo was alright. The honey butter croissants are great, make sure to ask for them. Overall it was a satisfying lunch. This place never disappoints. I love the New Orleans pasta it's my go to, always cooked perfectly, the right amount of seasoning, and the right amount of meat. The red fish w/ crab sauce was amazing! Our first time trying it, and it was flaky not too fishy. The crab sauce looked watery but was really good. Gosh I love cheddars! We sat at the bar as we do when we eat out without our kids... the bar waitress who attended to us was extremely rude and stand off-ish but no matter to us we were there for the food.

Alright so I walk in tell the Hostess two people, she tells me it's gonna be about a 30-40min wait. Ok, no problem.. Give her my number and walk out. I went to Pet Supplies and after that just sat and waited in my car. About 50min pass and still no text. So I called, gave them my last name and asked how much longer for the wait and the lady said they called but didn't get a response. I said well she must've wrote down the wrong number... before I can even finish saying the word "number" the "hostess" cuts me off with a smart ass tone asking what was the number?! I told her and she says we called and nobody answered. I said you know what.... *hangs up the phone on their asses* Because first of all, why you getting on the phone with an attitude?? I almost cussed her thin lip ass out but I just hung up. I even doubled back around the parking lot because I was gonna show them my call log in which I just had a phone call from the time I checked in, so I know it wasn't MY phone or service. But my friend talked me outta going back in there. I've seen other reviews about this same situation happening and everybody not telling the same lie. DO NOT GO TO CHEDDARS IN GREENVILLE, NC unless you want trash ass service from the hostess

I wish I had read these reviews before going to the Greenville, NC, location. We've been to Cheddar's in Nashville and loved it. Unfortunately, Greenville has a lot to learn about customer service. We were seated fairly quickly and then sat for 30 minutes while 2 servers walked by us repeatedly, ignoring us. They served all of the tables around us, took orders, delivered drinks and food, while we sat. We tried to make eye contact and they looked away or down. It was the strangest thing! I finally said when one server was walking past, "Do we have a waitress?" She briefly looked at me and said, "Let me check." Another 5 minutes or so go by. She came back and made some lame excuse of someone not showing up for work that should have been our server.... I've waitressed before - I know how table sections are given to servers and she and the other server had served the booths behind us and in front of us and all around us. It was a section of 6 booths, all filled and everyone being served but our table. This just seemed like a straight-out lie. We ordered everything at once. My daughter's salad came out and it seemed like everything was back on track. Then we sat and sat more, waiting for our food. After about 20 more minutes, the waitress came back and said they were out of baked potatoes. At 8 pm they were out of baked potatoes. We ordered mashed potatoes and then sat again. The service was horrible. The food came out barely warm. If I'm ever in Greenville again, I will never go to this location of Cheddar's!!!

Got the chicken tenders, broccoli, and slaw. Melt in your mouth good. Came out hot, fresh, and fast. Hubby got the chicken pot pie, and salad. The croissant was buttery and sweet. The pot pie wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. We drove here to get one thing...the Monster cookie is smaller than it used to be but still good.

I saw a roach on the floor on the way out. My food wasn't good. My salmon was served without rice, because they ran out. My broccoli was mushy and brown. My niece's plate was served with green beans on the plate and the juice ran over the rest of her food. We sent it back and she was given the same food.

Girls day trip in Greenville. Shopping and enjoying ourselves. Meal was delicious. 2 ladies had not ever been to Cheddar's.

Went in here with my boyfriend for lunch everyone was super nice but the problems started when we got our appetizer. We noticed that the bowl that we had ate out of WAS DIRTY. Next we got our food, he got the burger since they were out of the pasta that he wants and there was a strange food splattered all over his plate that looked like red jello. After that we were both disgusted with the place. We paid and left. Didn't even want to eat.

Had to wait/grab Someone's attention to get seated, place was empty, no one at the hostess station. Once we got seated it wasnt so bad. Waitress/bartender paid good attention to us, was friendly. Food was great, price was affordable. May come back.

Paid for a meal that I received half of and my credit card was overcharged. Brianna was our waitress. Had to ask several times for honey mustard. Called and talked to manager Jessica (?). She asked for my email address, said she would sent me something. I received a 10.00 e-gift card but was charged over $15.00. I have gone to many Cheddars and this is the first main problem I have encountered. I guess because you had one good experience, don't mean you will all the time. Will not return here again. I guess I could call my bank and dispute the charge. Consider yourself WARNED!

Worst service ever. Hike we waited 45 minutes for our food I watched a guy napping at a table who must have been friends with a server because she spent much time eating his fries and drinking his soda. My food came out wrong and not very good once I got it. I asked if the hamburger was fresh or frozen. Was told fresh but it was very clear it had been frozen. Not going back.

Cheddars has always been a go-to restaurant for my boyfriend and I. We have always recieved good service and good food... until tonight. We were greeted as usual, we ordered drinks, and an appetizer. We waited probably 6-7 minutes for our waters. When we got our waters we ordered our entrees. We waited nearly 30 minutes for our appetizer and when it was sat down in front of us our server told us our food was almost ready and our appetizer had taken too long. Im a server as well, and thats usually meaning 'I forgot to ring in your food'. In about 10 minutes our entrees came. I ate the pineapple salsa off my chicken and I noticed my baked potato was rock hard, I was just going to ask to have another one made when our server came back. She never did. So as I got impatient I decided to cut into my chicken breast. Completely raw. I waited some more time so maybe she would come back and refill our drinks. I ended up getting up and asking some other servers talking in the corner of the restaurant if they could get my server and tell her my chicken was absolutely raw. She came around and took it back to the kitchen. Bringing back a new entree that looked very burnt but I was not in the mood to argue. I asked for a box and my check and we left. We love cheddars but its debatable if im coming back..

The perfect restaurant for everyone, but especially families and seniors! No tv, music at a level that encourages talking! Large portions and a wonderful waitress! We'll be back soon!

Me and my family of five came to visit from out of town. The hostess said the wait was 40 minutes but we could sit at the bar. We go sit at the bar and I was approached by a waitress and she asked me "what do you need". I told her the hostess said we could sit at the bar. The waitress said they won't have a bartender until 4pm. We walked back to sit down and the hostess stated " I don't know because I'm only 20". I have never been disappointed in an establishment until today. The fact no employee in the restaurant knows what's going on or how to communicate with one another was ridiculous.

I was there a few Sundays ago with some girlfriends. It had been raining and was told a bit short staffed, yet 3 managers were there we were told. No where in sight however. The floor were sticky and wet throughout the restaurant. When our young waitress brought my full rack rib plate with fries,they were the most dark, old and cold fries! I couldn't believe she thought it okay to serve that to me! Having been told there were 3 mgrs on duty, you would have thought one would be overseeing the food quality, but nope. Then, she brought my girlfriends steak with baked potato and butter on the side. That's what she ordered, but what she got was a steak truly swimming in butter. She brought the potato separately. Omg,this poor potato looked like it was the last of the old potato famine! The irony is that it was only my 3rd time to a Cheddars, and I couldn't wait to go. Extremely disappointing. Never again.

Came here for a mixer event on a Friday evening. Our party was pretty big, and the restaurant itself was pretty packed. I've been to cheddars a handful of times but I've never had their appetizers. Let me just say that they are absolutely amazing! The flavor and the quality are out of this world. I know that typically TGI Fridays is the place that everyone wants to go for appetizers but Cheddar's definitely has them beat by longshot (Sorry. As much as I love TGI Fridays' mozzarella sticks, I just cannot deny this). We had the quesadilla, spinach dip, potato skins, onion rings and chicken tenders. Everything I tasted was absolutely excellent. Fresh ingredients and quality preparation. Best of all, the service was top-notch. Very nice, prompt with getting the food and drinks out and attentive. This will definitely be my go-to spot for appetizers going forward.

Have always loved Cheddar's. Now, not so much. We drive 35 miles to get there only to get to go orders which are not correct. Today we ordered steak & ribs and 8 oz. Salmon. We got steak (NO RIBS) and 5oz Salmon (NOT 8oz.). Previously we got a 5oz Salmon when we paid for 8oz. Today we again paid for something we did not get. Won't be going back, we complained but they don't seem to care.

Cheddar's one of my favorite places to eat... we always have great service and the food never disappoints. 10/10 for customer service and friendly environment.

The Sanitation rating here is 84.5 and the service is terrible! I ordered the Grilled White Fish and they came out with the first plate...it had a long hair on it. Then, on the second plate the order was wrong. The waiter tried his best but he wasn't very good either.
