Came to see a gig here with friends. Great venue with lots of parking. Really efficient to get in and never a long wait for a drink. The only negative was getting out of the carpark. Easily took half an hour, and we just weren’t moving.

We went to see the red hot chilli PIPERS! Brilliant, amazing, fantastic! Great venue, not overcrowded, you can get right to the front and feel like you're part of the band, or hang back ( still very intimate)and just enjoy the music. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere, lovely little venue. Didn't feel too crowded despite being at capacity for CMAT, reasonably priced drinks, efficient ticket scanning, friendly staff and nice outdoor seating area. There was a kebab van on site that looked very good but we didn't eat there, maybe next time.

Great venue. Visited multiple times and often go for coffee with the friends of discount it is one of the best places in town to go for a reasonably priced barista coffee. On gig nights it’s got the best beer selection of any venue I’ve visited, featuring local breweries.

I would of given five stars if it were not for the security people being so unfriendly and not in the slightest helpful with the exception of the lady that looked after us in the seated area shame the others were not like her. The rest of it was excellent the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly all adding to the whole evening being so enjoyable. I will definitely go again if there is a band id like to see.

Lovely staff in the cafe, and the food looks fabulous, but don’t use it if you just want to pop in for a coffee. It took over 15 minutes from ordering for three lattes to appear🫤

Awesome live music venue! Saw the Lottery Winners at the C&G a few weeks ago now, brilliant gig. The C&G is a fantastic venue and a night out in Frome is always a good one. Highly recommended in terms of visitin both the C&G for a gig and Frome generally. Also really important to support smaller local live music venues.

Yelp
Major music and family market venue right in the heart of town, with historical background. First built in 1874 as a town market hall, it is adjacent to a former train goods line, where local produce (as the same suggests) of cheese and grains were stored there. It underwent several metamorphosis - munitions store during WW1, occasional trade exhibitions, factory storage - until in the 1990's it was taken over by the District Council and Town Council and refurbished completely to turn it into a multi-purpose community hall. You will find local Farmer's Markets on a weekly basis (great quality fresh produce) during the days, and the evenings it's the setting for concerts of all kinds, from the punk/funk/rock to new bands and - well, everything you can imagine. There's a cafe and bar inside the premises, and the car park is right in front of it, so it ticks all the boxes! Check out the website for what's on, and go enjoy!
