See, I love me some Chinese food. Being Muslim, there aren't many options, but an old restaurant I used to go to in NYC is Fatima's Halal Kitchen. The food was to DIE for. Mere months before we moved to TX they shut down for good. Their Chinese food was to die for. Less about them, I had pretty high standards for my typical lo mein. However, this restaurant did not meet any of my lowest expectations. The staff is great but their food is not. Their prices aren't that amazing either. With this restaurant, it's a hit or miss. I recommend getting fried rice rather than white rice as the white rice can be crunchy (undercooked) sometimes. They use chicken breast, making the meat very dry. (My typical order consists of chicken/shrimp lo mein, chicken and broccoli, fried rice, etc, etc) I do enjoy their chicken lo mein but I might just tell them to stop adding chicken because it can be very dry sometimes! Their sauces are great and generally speaking I do enjoy the place. I do not recommend Chicken Corn Soup because when we ordered it, it smelled so bad that we had to give it back. It smelled like rotten egg.
Overall, it's a good place for a quick bite to eat. You really do have to order until you find something you enjoy. Great place, just maybe use better meat. For a halal Chinese joint it's not too bad :) Keep it up!
