Geoff's puts a premium on speed. We were seated quickly. The waitress showed up quickly. We had barely looked at the menu and she asked if we were ready to order, but she was nice enough to wait a minute while we figured out we wanted. And, in the blink of an eye, she was gone to put in our order. In keeping with this ethos, the food and drinks also showed up quickly.
I ordered a Chef Geoff's IPA, an IPA so heavily hopped that I feel like I should be chomping through it. But, if you like hops, this is actually pretty good.
My wife's Moscow Mule, on the other hand, was wimpy. It tasted good, but there was very little alcohol in it.
We asked for dressing on the side of the kale salad, but we got dressing on it instead. It took a few minutes to flag somebody down, because the entire staff here seems to be in perpetual motion. But, once we did flag our waitress down, ZOOM, she took off with the salad, and quickly returned with a replacement.
When we got the salad with dressing on the side, there was a tiny cup of dressing, and we had to order another one. The dressing itself was a decent creamy Caesar. There wasn't much of a salad other than a big plate of kale and a few sliced cherry tomatoes strewn across it. The bits of shaved Parmesiano Reggiano were a nice touch, however.
The chips and guacamole were also OK. The chips were nicely crunchy, but needed salt. The guacamole was basically just mashed up avocado, and there was only a small amount of it.
The decor here looks like this must've been an old style airport cafeteria type area previously. The only thing distinguishing it from what it used to be is there is a bar at one end of the place.
This isn't a bad place to stop if you just need a quick drink, but don't get your hopes up about the dining experience.
