Google
I heard this place had some authentic Chinese food (not the regular fast-food-style Chinese food). I brought my wife here for a dinner date, and we started off with the Crab Rangoon - Amazing! The dough was so crispy, and they had this wonderful sweet-chili sauce to dip it in. Then we got the Mongolian Beef plate the Braised Beef Noodle Bowl, and a few of the dumplings. Everything was great, but I have to say the Dumplings really blew me away. Never in my life have I had dumplings that were so flavorful - perfectly cooked, wonderful texture, and very filling. Can't wait to come back again! Our server was also very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome 😁

Google
Overall it's a great addition to the Charleston area, but coming from a Chinese family my standards are pretty high. A few of the dishes were ok and some dishes were great. Service was good, no issues at all and we loved how they changed the space up. Shu Mai - great Beef dish - great Singapore noodles -great

Google
Amazing scallion pancakes! The shumai were plump and full of pork & shrimp. Soup dumplings were juicy and meaty. The sesame chicken was minimally breaded (a plus) and served in a thick, sticky sauce that was more reminiscent of sweet & sour than traditional sesame (a minus).

Google
Great food! Soup dumplings are amazing and fresh. Made daily and they actually close a few hours each day to make more because they go so quickly and I appreciate that because you bring a fresh product to your customers. Be patient for a table it’s crowded for a reason but service was spot on. Food came quickly and very well prepared. I hope the owners and chef get to read this so I can say great job and don’t change a thing !!

Google
Truly incredible experience here. The staff was so kind and attentive, the food was out of this world. By far the best Asian food in this area and best chicken wing I’ve ever had. - house chicken wings - crab Rangoon - general tsao’s chicken - curry fried rice - pork soup dumplings

Google
Went a second time - upgrading my review. Probably the best dim sum option in Chuck. This place rocks! Super fast service always delicious and consistent. The Pork Naan is a must - it’s like a pork Bao but substitute the bao bun for naan bread. Great Dim Sum spot! Very unassuming spot tucked back in west ashley-dont let that fool you. Everything was very tasty! I could only eat the soup dumplings. Delicious! The Singapore Noodles are fantastic as well. Service ultra fast. This is like those places a customer/co-worker takes you for a corporate office lunch break - local/fast/good/relatively cheap. Worth a try for fast/casual asian.

Google
Incredible service. So kind and welcoming. Everything we had was delicious. The shumai was exceptional as well as the pork dumplings. We loved the General Tsao chicken the best!

Google
Incredible place to eat! We were very impressed. We have tried pretty much every dim sum in Charleston and still think this is the best!

Yelp
Loooove Chef Loong! My husband and I have gone probably once a week since they opened and every time we go we have a 10/10 experience! The food is amazing and service is always great!! Do yourself a favor and go to Chef Loong!

Colin R.

Yelp
Perfect I have absolutely zero complaints the worst food we had would be excellent at every other place I'm extremely happy with my experience!! The service was good too.

Yelp
No better service, in a beautiful environment with a relatively low noise level, and exceptional food. Did I say exceptional? Well I mean it. Go, enjoy, and leave happy!

Yelp
The place is super cute but the light kept flashing. If you have seizures beware. The food ranged from not great to kinda gross. The people were very nice!

Yelp
Food: 4.5. The dumplings were really good. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out in a reasonable timeframe. Service: our server was great! Explained everything well and was friendly. I also enjoyed his assistant, Bella the robot. Ambiance: very nice. I didn't have high hopes since this was located in a strip mall but it's surprisingly nice! If you are craving dim sum, this is the place! Note: if you want shaved ginger, you'll need to ask as it's not served with the dim sum by default.

Yelp
This place had a long line almost out the door when we arrived but luckily we had a reservation so we were seated within 5-10 mins. This is a small restaurant so I do recommend you make a reservation before going. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't believe we have authentic dim sum in Charleston now! I am obsessed with soup dumplings so we ordered the regular pork and the truffle pork dumplings. Both were amazing but I def loved the truffle dumplings more that were rich with truffle taste! The scallion pancakes were some of the best I've ever had! So crispy and flavorful! The sesame chicken was so sweet, saucy and crispy! It reminded me of Korean fried chicken so I loved it! They also had a robot delivering food to tables which is always a cool experience! Could not recommend it here enough!

Yelp
100/10!!! Everything was excellent and this place fills a niche that Charleston was totally missing before! From the soup dumplings to beef Mongolian entree to Dan Dan noodles, we've never been disappointed! Service and ambiance are great too!

Yelp
First off I want to say we had a great time here! The food was excellent - especially any of the dumplings and wontons - as was the service (not counting the robot waiter, which was cool initially but basically due to the seating arrangement just bumped into my back while delivering food). We weren't sure what to expect when we first came in but we're pleasantly surprised as our early reservation (5:30) meant we beat the rush - and there was a rush as we left, around 7pm. So it would be best for you to make a reservation through Yelp if you plan on going later than 6:30. Arriving early meant we got our food quickly, and we ordered a LOT. Highly recommend ordering everything and eating it family style as the portions are all small enough where you can share them among a group and get a little bit of everything. If you're like us and unfamiliar with how to properly eat dumplings (I'm willing to admit I don't know everything) there's actually a guide on each table on the bets way to properly eat dumplings since they're basically little pockets of meat and scalding-hot broth. Definitely should check it out before you begin so you don't both burn your mouth and waste the broth. Long story short: check it out, get ALL the dumplings and any fried chicken you can handle. Spice levels were good and not overly intense.

Yelp
Everything was delicious ! We were sat right away and service was great. Cucumber salad was absolutely amazing along with the udon noodles and soup dumplings .

Yelp
I liked the Chinese restaurant that preceded this one, but the new one is on a higher level. I received efficient service, and the menu was ample for my dietary needs. Dumplings based on mustard greens were delightful, and options for dipping included a standard set of soy sauce, vinegar, and a delightful chili crisp. Reaching a spoon into the dark liquid and hitting a mushy pile of chili underneath is texturally a bit like stepping into a South Carolina swamp, but the flavor was all Chinese. My entree, a Buddha Delight dish, sounded like the sort of thing I used to order thirty years ago when that was the only vegetarian option at a lot of places. On first sight, I wasn't sure about it, as it was a white sauce kind of dish that didn't suggest a ton of flavor, but the ginger/garlic sauce, and the intriguing soft/crispy contrast of tofu texture delivered. Rice was an optional extra, which I don't terribly mind as some people will want to avoid the carbs. I was a little peeved that I ordered an iced tea and got a sweetened one; the option was available for sweet or unsweet but I did not catch that and they did not ask. However, when I consider the mouthwatering meal I got, I'm not that upset.

Yelp
I had heard the rumors of a new Dim Sum dumpling spot in West Ashley, Chef Loong - OMG! They delivered, we snuck in right as their lunch was ending and were SO grateful they let us order. They close for lunch at 2, fyi. My freind had been before so she ordered and I rolled with her choices which were all amazing. We tried chicken and pork dumplings, oh the juice that comes out we loved the texture of the Onion Pancake and the Duck Dumplings were awesome. This is a MUST try restaurant, rumor has it they have a line everyday for the dinner service so my suggestion is to hit them for lunch or get to dinner on the earlier side (around 4-5). The service and staff were also so nice, good luck and enjoy!

Yelp
The food is delicious, fresh and a good selection of bao, dumplings, noodles, and traditional Chinese vegetables with proteins like duck, beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. Service is attentive, and aided by robots bringing your food on some occasions. They now have a liquor license to serve beer and wine, including sake'.
google avatar

Tico K.

Yelp
Very nice experience. The food was excellent, we took our waiters suggestions and they did not disappoint. We did bring our own wine as the alcohol list is rather small and paid the $16 corkage fee. Our group of 6 all gave rave reviews and we will Defiantly go again !!

Yelp
Just off Savannah Highway, inside a small shopping plaza, Chef Loong is a very comfortable restaurant with both Table and Booth seating. With lots of Staff, there is plenty of support to take care of the entire restaurant and then some. We ordered 4 dishes, and surprisingly each was listed as a signature dish. But after enjoying each dish so thoroughly, we understood why they were listed as signature. We started with a Cucumber Salad, with coarsely chopped fresh cucumbers, in a garlic, vinegar, and sesame Oil sauce. This is a very refreshing dish, which I recommend eating between other dishes as a cleansing of the palate. Next was Sichuan Chili Wonton, which were pork filled with steamed Wontons, think dumplings with a slighter thicker wrapper. The wonton was served in a Sichuan and chili oil sauce. The sauce also had hints peanuts or peanut butter. The wife said they were by far the best Dumpling/Wonton she has ever eaten. I would have to agree. The 3rd dish (and my favorite) was the Dan Dan Noodles. This dish was made with Wheat noodles in a very spicy Sichuan peppercorn, chili oil, and sesame paste sauce with tiny crunchy peanuts. Wow, such a spicy powerful and delicious dish. Sorry, no photos, but you can trust me, it was a good-looking dish. We ended the meal with Peaking Duck and steamed Buns. Consisting of Crispy Duck, thinly sliced scallions and cucumbers, served with puffy Steamed buns and a hoisin bean sauce paste. While I might have wanted a bit more duck, it was plenty for the 4 steamed buns, and about right considering the low price for this type of dish. This was a good dish to finish the meal.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this place and finally was able to give it a try. It's tucked into a busy strip mall and could easily be overlooked. It's a smaller place but makes the space work well. I had the Sichuan Chili Wonton as an appetizer and the Laziji-Chili Chicken for an entree. The Wonton was spectacular, and I would highly recommend. The Laziji.... If you don't like spice, stay far away from this one or ask for light spice. It has great flavor but comes with a large and I mean large amount is Sichuan Peppers. I didn't dislike it but I'm going to go with the Chef Loong Beef which I sampled and it was amazing. Another cool feature is the restaurant has a robot that will deliver your food which is a good conversation piece! I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
We came to chef loong on a Thursday evening having previously made reservations. There was a line at the entrance for walk-ins, but we were able to check in at the counter and we only had a short wait before our table was ready. Definitely recommend making reservations because even on a weekday this place is packed. I was impressed by the menu and food options, being very authentic and diverse. We tried the rice paper vegetable dumplings, the chicken drumsticks, a plate of Singaporean noodles, and star of the night for me, the eggplant in garlic sauce. All the food was delicious and well portioned , the service was excellent and friendly And the ambience was fun, including a happy food service robot that visited our table once. I can't wait to go back and try more of the delicious food

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic and delicious dim sum then look no further, because you won't find anything better in Charleston. The food is authentic and the dishes are packed with flavor. Best things we tried were the shrimp dumplings and the sweet and sour eggplant dish, both were absolutely fantastic and I'll be ordering them again next time I go. The chicken wings were also very good with a unique seasoning, worth a try but they didn't stand out to me as much as the other two dishes. Service was good once we sat down, we had a reservation and it was still a little hectic in the beginning, though they were swamped so can't really fault them. Overall I loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be coming back very soon!

Yelp
I heard this place serves authentic Chinese food, not typical fast-food-style options. I took my wife here for a dinner date and started with Crab Rangoon, which was amazing--crispy dough and a delicious sweet-chili dipping sauce. We also ordered Mongolian Beef, a Braised Beef Noodle Bowl, and dumplings. Everything was great, but the dumplings stood out--flavorful, perfectly cooked, and filling. Our server was friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
So yummy, glad we finally made it here! Easy parking in the center lot. Nicely decorated inside and comfortable seating - both chairs and booths available. The staff are attentive and friendly without being too much. Everything we got was great - favorites were the pan seared pork dumplings and three cups chicken.

Yelp
Came here tonight to check it out, and I hate to admit it but I had low expectations. Prices were barely higher than takeout Chinese food, it was in West Ashley and it was in a strip mall. I was very very VERY mistaken. I have been to Chinatowns in NYC, Montreal, and San Francisco. I have had Chinese food from some of the best places in NYC, and the famed Han Dynasty in Philly used to be my Friday meal nearly weekly. I know my Chinese food pretty well and this meal ranked in the top 5 best Chinese meals I have ever had in my life. Had pork soup dumplings and the Xian braised pork naan to start; amazing. The pork soup dumplings are can't miss, the pork naan was innovative and super tender. Then ordered the Chef Loong's beef, Sichuan chili wontons, and Peking duck buns for the main. MIND BENDING. The beef was tender and sweet and oniony. The duck was crazy crisp but tender inside. The wontons were on point and not TOO spicy. Had an iced plum drink and jasmine tea to wash it down. Service was great, atmosphere was casual and laid back. I cannot believe I almost passed on this place. J.Ja

Yelp
Quick, attentive service! Clean and casual. I liked the Shumai and Sichuan wonton best. My husband loved the five spice chicken appetizer

Yelp
Finally made it to the newest hot spot in WA! We ordered several things to round out the experience of new and often offered dishes. Pork soup dumplings were EVERYTHING they've been raved about..nice touch is the placard on the table giving you directions for eating for optimal taste. It had to be our second fave of the the meal. Our first fave were the delicious Sichuan Chili Wontons. Spicy, chewy, and full of flavor. Chopsticks were difficult with this dish, as they are huge. I pride myself on my skills, but I did ask for a fork! Our entrees were amazing. We ordered the DanDan Noodles and the Twice-Cooked Pork...we ordered so much, both of much of this came home and we are now enjoying for breakfast. Dan Dan was tender noodles in a warmly spiced oil, with a bit of PB flavor. Well rounded home style dish. The twice cooked porked belly melted in your mouth and I love leeks, which is what the meal was sautéed with. The reason for only 4 stars vs 5 was a few items we ordered were pedestrian and we wouldn't get again, the Scallion Pancake and the Crab Rangoon were just not very good. Also disappointing was paying for hot tea ($5), Jasmine, but in no way had the scent you expect with Chinese Jasmine tea. Service? We were seated by, delivered to, and paid with 3 or 4 different staff members. We had to flag them down as they stood at the water station chatting with one another... The menu is large and we look forward to going and trying several more of the dishes offered!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place!!! My boyfriend and I had seen it and it was on our list of places to try. It is now one of our new favorite places. The servers were very attentive and were always making sure we had everything we needed, they also helped us decide between a couple of dishes. We got soup dumplings of course, because how can you not?! Crab Rangoon because I can't not order crab Rangoon if it's on the menu. Everything was so so delicious. It was very crowded but we didn't wait at all. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Charleston area.

Yelp
Super excited about this place opening in West Ashley! I waited until they were open for a couple months before going since I knew it would be busy. Thankfully I was able to snag an afternoon reservation because there was a small wait when we arrived. This place is in a small plaza with limited parking close by but more across the street and further out. They didn't really have a host stand, and you had to tell whoever was working that you had a reservation because they didn't ask. There wasn't much of a "waiting area" so it was a bit cramped along the entrance. Once we got sat it took several minutes before someone came and greeted us and got us drinks. I do think they work as a pooled house because no, one person was waiting on us so they had good teamwork. We ordered; Shrimp Shumai - these were bigger than what I'm used to so you only got 3. They were flavorful and had great texture and filling. Pork Soup Dumplings - savory broth and the pork filling was a bit smaller but still tasty. Chili wontons - not spicy at all, so I added more chili oil to it, enjoyed the sauce it was in. Crispy Duck with bao buns - it was advertised as "Peking" and I wouldn't necessarily say it was like traditional Peking duck. The way it was cut was very thin, although crispy but not like a classic Peking duck and how it's normally served. I did enjoy it because it was cooked well and they give you 4 bao buns which was plenty. We didn't have to order from the robot nor did our order come from a robot but we still had good service and a pleasant experience. Clean bathrooms and nicely decorated. Overall a solid place for Charleston. They don't have a big menu or a ton of dim sum options but for what they had it was good. I think if they continue to be consistent, they will thrive and be able to expand here because it's hard to find good, authentic Chinese food and dumplings in the south.
google avatar

Hen N.

Yelp
This place just opened up and it is incredibly busy. I came with a bunch of friends because there really isn't any other dim sum restaurants in Charleston so I had to see what it offered. To be honest, the menu is not very large for a dimsum place. They should have just stuck with being called a soup dumpling restaurant instead of putting dimsum in the restaurant name because people who are acquainted with dimsum would probably be disappointed. The food itself wasn't bad, although the har gow was on the lower end of quality for me. However, I could not rate this place higher due to itself being called a dimsum restaurant and not actually having the variety a normal dimsum restaurant offers. Although, this is charleston and dimsum doesn't exist, the food was good but I felt like the advertising is a bit off. The service wasn't too good but it was most likely because it was packed and the servers were probably slammed all day. There is a cute little robot that helps with the serving but it wasn't for all the dishes, I'm assuming because they couldn't keep up with all the orders. I hope that they can increase the menu to a standard dimsum restaurant and if they're going to use a robot hopefully they will make the restaurant more automated so that you can order online or from a tablet and have the robot bring you your orders whenever it is ready. At the moment everything seems a bit rushed and the final form of the restaurant hasn't been completed yet. They could also remove the words dimsum from the restaurant and it would appetizer for me since other Chinese restaurants in the area also serve limited dimsum but do not advertise themselves as a dimsum restaurant.

Yelp
Tried a Saturday lunch. Not as busy as Sundays but food is still amazing. My HK Styke Shumai looked rough but still tasted wonderfully delicious!! No robots today. Staff here got their work down pat. They are very efficient and quick.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here to make a reel for Asian/Pacific Islander heritage month and I don't think I could have enjoyed myself any more. YOU HAVE TO COME HERE! I had an amazing experience from the moment I sat down with high tech robots that deliver your food, kind servers, cute ambience, and delicious food. I mean, the food really impressed me! And the price wasn't bad at all. I have to say my favorite thing I got were the pork dumplings or the Dan Dan noodles. You can also order bao buns (on the menu they are called white lotus buns) and stuff whatever you want in them! I will without a doubt be coming here regularly whenever I am craving Chinese. What a great business!
google avatar

Paul Z.

Yelp
We went there for the first time on Saturday my wife and I are from the New York metropolitan area and appreciate non-American Chinese food, especially when you could sit down in a restaurant it's in a small strip mall, but the restaurant was nice. It was bigger than it looked like when we walked in. Service was very friendly and helpful. We ordered their pork soup dumplings, which you never see in a restaurant and they were good. Also, I got the pan fried pork dumplings, and the scallion pancake both were good. We tried the jumbo mustard shrimp. The shrimp or large and tasty. The mustard sauce is not familiar to our taste buds, but it was still good. The food came quickly. We were out of the restaurant and 50 minutes and prices were reasonable for what we got.

Yelp
So glad we saw all of the reviews about this place because it was worth all of the hype! Get there when they open because within 5 minutes of opening the place was packed & had a wait. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the service was excellent throughout our time here. We had the pork soup dumplings, chicken soup dumplings, cucumber salad, fried rice (minus the shrimp due to an allergy), and three cup chicken with a side of white rice. The food was very tasty and packed full of flavor. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Reagan A.

Yelp
Generally I'm not a huge Chinese food fan but my boyfriend wanted to check this place out and oh boy I'm glad we did! We lucked out with our timing. We arrived and were third in line but by the time we got sat, the line was out the door and stayed that way until we left. It's a super cute place inside. Definitely date night worthy and if you're lucky, a cute little robot will deliver your food to the table! All the food was great but the Dim Sum was by far the best part. I had the chicken soup and will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
Chinese food that is real Chinese food that is absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the drive!

Yelp
Let's just say this, on my America roadtrip this is the only place I had stopped at twice because of how great everything was. I forgot his name but one of the waiters "he" left a great impression the first time I went to the restaurant, putting me at easy and recommended some amazing dishes. Charming, welcoming, positive attitude and atmosphere, additionally very funny dude. The customer service was very genuine and quick from all the staff. When you walk in you can tell the staff has great commemoratory with each other and the customers. I haven't tried all the local hot spots but if you want some high quality Chinese food this is the hot spot. There is typically a standing line at the door every time I have been there because of how good everything is here. Trust me for the price, authenticity of taste and service it was worth the every minute. Also you may want to call ahead to make reservations just in case they are busy. They clam to have the best Dim Sums in town and I would totally agree. Everything was extremely delicious and packed such a BOLD flavors in taste but not overwhelming, if you are familiar with Asian cuisines. I'm positive this would have more reviews but they are a bit of a hike from the downtown. I'd definitely recommend taking an uber/lyft here as their parking lot fills quickly with the many additional shops around the area. Best Dim Sums in Charelston!

Yelp
Food was excellent. Best Dim Su Ever! Service was friendly and professional. Ambiance was very nice.

Marguerite C.

Yelp
Food was most unappealing and Dim Sum so slimy. Place too crowded, too noisy and too expensive. Because I couldn't eat it I wound up paying $25 for a bowl of fried rice which was just ok.

Yelp
Chicken soup dumplings are all I need to say. I think i could eat these every single day of my life. Only had these and the braised beef noodle soup and i can't wait to come back to try so many more things. I want to try everything. The restaurant is decorated so nicely, the staff were very fast and attentive and they have the little robot server that helps carry the food out too! So pumped about this place! It's vey authentic!

Yelp
My husband and I made a reservation for a Saturday night at 8pm. We arrived a few minutes before 8 to a fairly crowded restaurant, glad we'd heeded warnings to reserve a table. An employee rather rudely asked if we had a reservation, and seemed disappointed to hear that we did. We were sat promptly, and despite a number of waitstaff working, it took more than five minutes to have someone come to the table and take our drink order. The restaurant was noisy, but generally quieted down as people began to leave. We were sat behind a table of six people who were very loud, bordering on obnoxious. We ended up ordering chicken soup dumplings, the HK style LoMai Gai, the Shanghai Stir-Fried Udon noodles, and the Chef Loong Beef. Our server asked if we wanted everything as it was ready, to which we agreed. The food was good, but the portions were very small for the prices. We especially enjoyed the udon, but for $17 there were barely enough for two people to split them. Our Chef Loong beef never arrived, and when we notified the server she went to check on it and said the ticket hadn't printed to the kitchen. She then asked if we still wanted it! Uh, yes - we've split five tiny dumplings, a small bowl of noodles, and a larger piece of dim sum and we're still starving! The beef eventually arrived, and while it was delicious, we felt unable to enjoy it since the server came back and asked us if we needed anything else or if we wanted the check. It was 8:45! Our reservation was for 8 pm, and the restaurant closes at 9 pm. My husband and I paid the check, very unhappy to be rushed out the door less than an hour after we'd sat down. And on top of all that, we both left still hungry! We'd heard so many good things about this restaurant and had expectations that were apparently just too high, so I don't think we will be back.

Yelp
I love soup dumplings and they didn't disappoint! The place was so popular and busy that there was a line going out the door. Place looks charming with the decor and custom chopstick packs, and a robot that serves your food. I recommend getting a soup or appetizer if you're getting dumplings, or another order of dumplings because they come in orders of five. The staff was friendly and timely despite being so busy with turnovers and the long line. I hope they aren't too understaffed! All in all, it's a unique experience worth checking out.

Yelp
Ok folks, you are coming in for the dim sum but save room for the Chef Loong beef!! This mom and pop restaurant is fabulous, please skip the chain restaurants and support local restaurants! Ask for Luzia! Fabulous service and great personality!

Yelp
We thought Chef Loong was great. Authentic is how to describe it! It is a bit hidden away in a strip mall, comfortable restaurant with booths and tables. We had a reservation and I highly recommend that as there was a line with waiting walk ins. We were a party of 4 and we shared the Pork Dumplings, Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, Beef Shanghai, pork naan and delicious soups. They now have a liquor license to serve beer and wine, including sake'. This is a do not miss restaurant in West Ashley! Delicious, authentic food. Service is attentive, occasionally aided by robots!

Yelp
What a cool new Chinese restaurant. This is the first time that I have been somewhere where you are showed to your seat/food brought to your table by a robot. The food was amazing. The service was great. I would recommend starting with the scallion pancakes (Yum). We also tried the pan seared pork dumplings. I had the 3 cup chicken as an entree. So good. I love fresh ginger and basil.

Yelp
Great soup dumplings! Service was excellent. Ambiance was decent. Loved the robot . The General Chau's Tofu was decent but needed a little more crisp and a little less sweet. Overall a good place.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Asian dumplings. These are spot on and the pricing is fantastic because they're new. They are still working out their staff trying to make a top-notch, but I can see they're on their way. I will eat there every time I'm in town And will order the Mongolian beef every time as well as all the dumplings on the menu.

Yelp
When new restaurants open up, we greet them with excitement and can't wait to try them and talk about them. In that excitement we tend to heap praise and accolades which some places deserve and some maybe not. Chef Loong is fully deserving of both praise and accolades. You are greeted at the door by a cute little robot who takes you to your seat. The vibe is comfortable and relaxed while servers busily bus on by. They have a wide selection of Dim Sum as well as many Asian favorites! We started with Crab Rangoon which was fully packed with crab and cream cheese. They were some of the most stuffed examples I have seen! We than had the Five Spice drumsticks which were crisp and spicy and immediately devoured. My son enjoyed the Curry Fried rice with chicken as his protein. The portion was generous and was devoured quickly. My wife tried the General Tsao chicken which had nice size chunks of sweet and spicy chicken. My daughter-in-law tried the Sesame chicken which was coated with a thick glaze. She ordered a side of rice since entrees don't automatically come with rice, but a side was only $1.50 so that wasn't a problem. Now on to the stars, the Dim Sum and soup dumplings, their namesake! The soup dumplings were fantastic, bursting with bold and robust flavors. They give you instructions on how to eat them and it was fun following along step by step. The Shumai was loaded with shrimp and cooked to perfection and the pan seared pork dumplings were nice and crispy! All our food was delivered by Bella, their resident robot waitress who would cutely exclaim "bye" after each delivery. They are new and all the rage, but they are living up to the hype by delivering delicious food with great service. Definitely a feather in West Ashley's cap.

Yelp
Food was decent. Small servings and the dumpling wrappers were thick. The dan dan noodles were good and flavorful though.
