The ultimate Disney dining experience—fun, food, and Mickey waffles! Chef Mickey’s is everything you want in a Disney meal and then some. From the moment you walk in, the energy is electric—like a party hosted by your favorite childhood icons (because it literally is). The buffet? Delicious and loaded with family-friendly favorites. From chicken to shrimp to buttered chicken! The Mickey waffles are a national treasure, the carved meats are juicy and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the dessert bar—it’s a sugar-lover’s dream. But let’s be real: you’re here for the characters, and they do not disappoint. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto make the rounds like seasoned pros, giving hugs, posing for pictures, and making everyone—yes, even the grown-ups—grin from ear to ear. The atmosphere is lively, the service is great, and it’s one of the most magical ways to kick off a Disney day. Chef Mickey’s is a must-do for anyone who wants their breakfast with a side of pixie dust and a whole lot of heart.

We had the absolute best time at Chef Mickey's. It was my family's first experience and we would highly recommend it to family and friends. The food was great for a buffet style. A variety of options and good quality. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. It was our first night using the dinning plan and our waitress took the time to walk us through what was included and how to use it in the future. Our kids (10&6) loved the character experience. They were interactive, funny, and patient. We had a great time!

Google
This was our kids favourite meal during our time at Disney. They loved the character interactions, and we were pretty fortunate with our table selection which appeared to be fairly central and regularly frequented by the characters. Make sure your kids bring a diary or the signature booklet (if you feel like paying for it) as the characters will gladly sign most of the items you request. The food was decent without being amazing, servers were attentive and were really good with our kids. It does get really busy at times and you will likely have to queue unless you make an early booking, and regarding bookings, make sure you book your slot as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment. We booked ours about 64 days in advance as we were staying at Contemporary, and some of the slots had already been taken. Price-wise, this is definitely premium dining at Disney so don't expect it to be anything less. I think it is worth it for a one off experience, but for regular dining it will definitely be more affordable to head next door to Contempo cafe.

Fun character breakfast for the family. Good variety of food including fresh fruit, pastries, smoked salmon, deviled eggs, typical breakfast foods (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, etc.), some heavier lunch dishes, a couple themed items (mini muffin with Mickey sprinkles and Mickey waffles), and more. Allergy friendly with an allergy menu that provides an overview of which dishes are safe for various allergies (i.e. nuts, gluten, egg, fish, shellfish, milk, sesame, and soy). Characters visit each table, interact with guests, and pose for pictures. They celebrate birthdays by bringing out a complimentary cupcake, lighting a candle, and leading the table to sing happy birthday to the birthday guest. Bathrooms are located within the restaurant which is convenient for little bladders. The women's bathrooms were well kept and include a little seating area.

Food options were great! We were stuck in a corner and couldn't see the characters coming (we like to prepare so we don't take too long). Very loud and chaotic for us, but I know some people love that. Enjoyed riding the Monorail to the Contemporary for it, though. Photo Pass photographer was outside the restaurant boundary, which was pretty neat. We will try other character dining options before going back here. O'Hana and 1900 Park Fare far outranked Chef Mickey's in our eyes. Character interactions were sweet.

Google
Food This venue offers a character buffet experience. Once you are seated and your drink orders have been taken, your server will inform you when you may proceed to the buffet. They aim to help you time your visits to ensure you do not miss any character interactions. The buffet circulates, so you might consider bypassing the initial selection and exploring the back for a less crowded experience. The food offerings are organized into several stations: an oatmeal station, a cold station featuring yogurt, fruit, and assorted cold meats and cheeses, and a hot station that includes Mickey waffles, eggs, various styles of potatoes, omelets, breakfast meats, as well as a selection of sweets and pastries. You are free to navigate between the sections that interest you most without waiting in line for the entire assortment. Service The characters effectively navigate the room, creating an engaging atmosphere. Utilizing video rather than still images enhances the experience by minimizing interruptions. Additionally, the wait staff are both helpful and friendly, readily providing food and drink recommendations as needed. Atmosphere This is a joyous yet lively experience characterized by the presence of numerous children, accompanied by music and dancing.

What amazing experience with the figures. If you never come before, it’s time to plan for your vacation with your childs. The food is good, diverse and really fun with them. All of them come to see you.

This place is an amazing all you can eat buffet. They have many different types of food from Asian, Italian, Indian, American, and German foods. They also have salads and deserts. One of the unique aspects are the characters which can be a bonus or hinderance depending on what you are looking for. It is a little pricey but the food quality is great. I think this is a very good place for kids especially. Lunch and dinner are great, but I have not had breakfast so I cannot comment. I would 100% come back to here.

Yelp
Where do I even begin?! This has to be one of the best Character Breakfasts on property! Everything from the food, the layout of the restaurant, the route of the characters & how much time they spend with you, the service, everything was literal perfection. We had the BEST time celebrating my 2 year old niece's birthday. Nabil was a sweetheart & attentive! Your server starts you off with a fruity surprise- POG JUICE or you can order coffee, milk, etc. Then you're free to start going crazy at the buffet. First plate consisted of a Mini croissant, a Minnie muffin, & a Warm Sticky Cinnamon Roll! Went on to get the scrambled eggs with Steak & Mushrooms, Biscuits & Gravy, Bacon, Cheesy Hashbrowns, Potato Wedges, and for the last plate had to visit the plentiful fruit section for some pineapple, grapes, and banana... FOSTER, on fresh French Toast! Also grabbed a Mickey waffle, delicious and sugary Beignets. The best food coma is one at Disney! You get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto while you're dining! They have fun with the whole family, autographs & photos/videos are encouraged, and once the do a full cycle they are able to come back for more 1-1 and Mickey even did a celebratory dance with our section of the restaurant. The character attendants were also kind enough to ask each table if they wanted anymore interaction time with any character before they left to the other side. Obviously Pluto is her favorite out of the five! We can't wait to come back again sometime soon, if you have kids that love meeting the Fab Five this is a MUST DO breakfast experience at Disney World for the entire family to enjoy!

Yelp
I was going to give this a 2 star, but the characters made me bump it up. That said, this is one of the most brazen money grabs in WDW. Dinner for me, the Misses and the little one was about $240 after tip. And THAT was being mindful about spending. Example, I got a watermelon lemonade...(this is a BUFFET, to remind...). It was $6.50. A plain, thin glass of watermelon lemonade. I obviously finished it rather quickly, and asked the server if they are refilled. Nope, that'll be $6.50 each time sir. So, I did water after the initial lemonade. (Kudos to our server too, who was forthright with his info. He also told us that the alcohol pours weren't worth the exorbitant prices either.) The prime rib was absolutely inedible, but the rest of the food was decent, if underwhelming. The characters were cool, but you have to wait for them to come to your table, which can take a while inbetween appearances. You're paying for the experience. We did it because we wanted to guarantee that the Little One saw Minnie, so it was worth it to us, but I will absolutely not be going back.

Joanna B.

Yelp
Birthday brunch! OMG, they were so welcomoing as we descended from the Monorail! Prompt seating. If you need the fascilities be forewarned that there are Warhols in the hallway toward it. Yes! My socks were knocked off hastening the need for the fascilities! After welcoming and seating us they verified allergies. Chef Victor was sent to tell us what is best avoided at this buffet. (Lee organized a hypo-allergic birthday treat as the cupcake had no-no ingredients.) There was an amazing mushroom omlette. There were Mickey Waffles you could douse in Bananas Foster sauce! There were all manner of fruits. It didn't matter where you were sat because there was a fresh set of buffet stations near you. Plus, there was a dessert station. Everyone will come to visit you. I didn't share all the photos. Minnie Mouse has amazing light-up footwear. Goofy will listen to everything anyone has to say. Donald is Galant! Mickey is charming! Pluto does everything! Bruh can even dance while blindfolded by his own ears! Definitely visit!

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
Is it a "brazen money grab" as others have said? Absolutely. Is it expensive? Heck ya. Is the food rather 'meh' and you don't actually get much time to eat it? Yup. Is it all worth it to capture the moment on your kid's face when he meets his hero, Mickey Mouse? ABSOLUTELY.

Kevin W.

Yelp
It's funny how this place gets some pretty divided opinions. Some folks (like myself) are big fans while others complain it's overpriced with meh food. Here's the thing, this is a character dining experience with guaranteed access to five of the most popular Disney characters that you'd otherwise be spending a ton of time trying to hunt them down for photos that you'll wait hours for. This place isn't meant to be one of the elite dining experiences so people should really manage their expectations for the food, which to me isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Compared to other Disney buffets, this place is actually better than average. The food you get here is better than what you'd pay for at the crystal buffet at Magic Kingdom or the similar character dining/buffet equivalent at Hollywood Studios. It might be as exciting to the palate as say the character dining buffet at Animal Kingdom, but this place in general is pretty good. Their carving station is always solid, the salad bar and peeled shrimps are always dependable and they have a good sized dessert bar with plenty of options. Their cupcakes are always a hit for us. The characters come out pretty frequently and on good nights you might get a rare chance to take extra photos. This place is also a no-brainer for people who like to stay the Contemporary like myself, or want to hit up a character dining here before taking the monorail to or from Magic Kingdom. The contemporary also has a pretty big arcade and gift shop right next to Chef Mickey's so there's that as well. I usually try to come here twice during each visit because the kids love it so much. I definitely would suggest this place over most Disney buffet/character dining option choices.

Anthony S.

Yelp
While staying at the Contemporary, we ate breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It is a character dining experience. The characters that they had were Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto. Every character stops by the table. They even have someone who came by to ensure that they all visited each table. My daughter is usually very shy but every character that came to the table, she had to hug. The characters at Chef Mickey's were very good. Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of food and treats to choose from. Good thing it was a buffet because I did not have enough room on my plate. The service was very good and the Cast (employees) were very polite. This is a fun and great place to enjoy breakfast at before going to one of the parks. The monorail for Magic Kingdom stops at the Contemporary, so if you are at a connecting resort, I highly recommend stopping here for a meal whether it is breakfast or dinner. Plus it is an easy way to meet some characters versus standing in long lines while inside the parks. We will definitely eat here again. My daughter really enjoyed this dining experience and had a huge smile. If you decide to dine here be sure to have a reservation.

Ilana S.

Yelp
We ate here twice on our recent trip to Disney World and it did not disappoint. Please remember, this is a buffet, you are not here for the food. I repeat, this is a breakfast buffet. Jokes aside, the food was fine. We all found things to eat that we enjoyed, and no one left with a stomachache, so it was a win in my book. We got to meet 5 characters: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. You also get a little card with their photos and signatures on the back. They all come to your table at some point during your meal, and our servers both times were great about checking that we got to meet everyone before our meals were done. At certain points, they play a song and the characters have to leave to go to a specific section where they dance. If you ask me, they can remove this aspect. It was a bit disappointing when we were visiting with a character and they unexpectedly had to bounce. I'm sure this is strategic to give characters an excuse to leave a table, but it was still tough if a character had just arrived at our spot. This is, without a doubt, the best way to meet characters. We have a character loving toddler, and if it were up to her, we'd live at the character breakfast. Highly recommend! (Just keep low expectations for the food.)

Jason R.

Yelp
I was really impressed with the food at chef Mickeys! I was there before Covid and the food was mediocre! Love the renovations they did. Can't wait to go back!

Blake A.

Yelp
I can't say enough about the experience at Chef Mickeys! We got to meet all the characters on top of having a wonderful breakfast. We had a 6,11,and 16 year old with us and they all enjoyed the food and character visits. The restaurant served decent food for a buffet.

Aireen C.

Yelp
I love getting photos with the fab ! Yes, we came here for the characters and being close to Magic Kingdom! The cheesy potatoes are so good. It's my favorite along with the Mickey waffles! Gotta get that even at Disney! Definitely not just got children

David D.

Yelp
Chef Mickey's, like most things at Disney World, is way overpriced. Located at the Contemporary Resort, it's convenient to reach via the monorail. The restaurant features a buffet-style restaurant where Disney characters periodically visit each table for photos, autographs, and pantomiming, which the kids absolutely love. While the experience is fun for families, the food didn't sit well with me or the other adults and isn't particularly noteworthy from a culinary perspective. It's convenient for a quick, no-wait meal after a long day at the parks, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Jenna B.

Yelp
What is not to love about Chef Mickey's?!? I remember coming here as a little girl and seeing Mary Poppins and I was in complete awe. We're a family of 4, and for this particular trip, only 3 of us came, and it was amazing for us. We were seated towards the rear of the restaurant overlooking the monorail and roof. We were secluded, it was a little dark inside, but there was a window directly next to us. This was helpful as one of my children has sensory processing and has difficulty with visual processing among other senses. While dining here the servers will ensure before customers leave that every character visited your table, if you missed a character, they get the character to your table. The characters visiting your table aren't just walking by and waving, and off they go, they spend time with everyone at the table and make it a meaningful visit. They encouraged us to take photos with each character and spend time with them. The food was good. We were here for breakfast. One of us has a wheat allergy and they provided an allergen menu and offered to have a chef come to the table. The menu listed what was safe to eat from the buffet, but also gave options to order, and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS! We normally don't ask for seconds with the GF items, but we did here. My only complaint is, and it didn't happen to us, but while I was on the monorail a separate day stalled on the track inside the contemporary resort we saw birds flying around Chef Mickeys. The people who sit directly next to the bar/Chef Mickeys signage got the most birds, and it just grosses me out, but I understand with a hole in the building for the monorail there isn't a way to avoid it.

Anthony M.

Yelp
You know that stereotype of the Disney restaurant with the screaming kids and characters? You found it here. I knew that this was going to be a different experience, but we always do one character meal when we come to Disney. This was by far the worse. First of all, there are way too many tables at this place for the buffett. Like the buffett isn't large enough for the amount of guests. Because of this, you are waiting in line forever and simple things like bacon and eggs are always out. The food is also pretty mediocre and simple. Nothing has flavor and its clearly made to feed the masses. The bloody mary I had was a joke. As for the characters, they are not spread out so ALL of them came when my nephews were away from the table getting their food. You heard me right, ALL OF THEM. Because of this, we had to ask a CM to send them back. They spent a total of a minute with each of them before running somewhere else. I don't know if this is a magnet for the worst people in Disney World, but I have never seen so many oblivious and mean guests that let their kids take ALL the bacon from the server. ALL of it. Put this with loud Disney techo music and you have a recipe for disaster. I am a "Disney Adult". I love Disney and know that insane kids come with the territory. However, this might be my own personal Disney Hell in Chef Mickey's. I would HIGHLY recommend running away from this place and going to the character dining around the EPCOT resorts like Topolino's or Cape May. I like Character dining, but NOT this!

Marietta M.

Yelp
Booked breakfast here to kick off our Disney trip, and it did not disappoint! The buffet was well stocked and maintained with a variety of options. Each of the characters spent time at our table posing for photos and signing autographs. We had a blast! Highly recommend!

Allison P.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It is pricey, absolutely. But the buffet is large and diverse, characters come to your table for photos and autographs, and there's a super cute dance party at the end. Service was great and it's definitely a loud chaotic environment.

Nick G.

Yelp
We are locals and had friends from Chicago visiting so we all went. One of the kids was here for the first time and the excitement on his face was worth every penny. Chef Mickeys is fairly expensive but arguably the best place to meet most of the Disney characters. Buffet style breakfast is pretty good.

MeLissa A.

Yelp
Food was pretty decent not worth the money, but large variety of foods for children and adults not too many vegan options or vegetarian. The characters come out to you every 15 minutes and go to your table take pictures and joke around. The place it's self is very chaotic it's loud, not much privacy when your eating your close to other families and their is a train that goes through the hotel that makes it louder.

Kate F.

Yelp
If you're going to Disney you can't miss one of the character breakfast experiences, and Chef Mickey's is a classic. They have an extensive buffet with great choices for adults and kids. Breakfast meats, fruit, charcuterie, cereal, waffles, French toast, seasonal pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and more. The service is what you would expect at Disney and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. You can expect to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto along with some singing and dancing.

Aflo F.

Yelp
In my opinion, Chef Mickey's is overrated and overpriced. We went for dinner to celebrate our daughter's 5th birthday because she requested it. The restaurant offers a buffet-style meal catering to both kids and adults. However, the food selection is very limited considering the price, and you don't get your money's worth. The primary attraction seems to be the Character Experience, as the food itself is just okay. I would recommend it for the experience, but not for a repeat visit.

Johnelle C.

Yelp
This is a great way for you and your family to meet multiple characters without having to wait in lines. When we visited we had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto visit our table. We were able to take pictures and get autographs and hugs from all the characters. They also had dance parties which were super fun for the children. A cast member even asks you if you were visited by all the characters to make sure that you have a magical experience. Let's talk about food. This is a huge buffet with many options. My favorite was the mashed potatoes, prime rib, and peel and eat shrimp. There was also a lot of kid friendly food like mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and fruit. The salad options are extensive and the desserts on theme. There is even a vanilla and chocolate soft serve machine. Our family really had a great time and the best part was meeting Mickey and friends in a convenient and easy way. This restaurant is located in the contemporary hotel and is just a monorail ride from the Magical Kingdom park. We made reservations in advance using the Disney app. Hope you get to enjoy the food here and spend time dancing the night away with goofy.

Jose R.

Yelp
We have been dying to come here with our boys. This is one of the hardest restaurants to get for breakfast reservations/character dining. We were able to get a slot due to hurricane just passing thru so parks were slightly less packed. The service and character experience did not disappoint. I think it's one of the few that you can see all the main characters; if not the only one. They rotated around the restaurant often, danced and took pictures with everyone. The staff made sure the boys got to see them all. This place is a classic but the decor is slightly run down and old; needs a little bit of a facelift. Not a fan of buffet style breakfast but it had good options. It was also pricier than what you are paying for in terms of the actual food but we didn't go for that. We went for the magical moments and to see a smile on our birthday boy's face and that we sure got. Great experience! It's a shame it's taken years to come here because of difficulty to get a reservation.

David F.

Yelp
Move over, Mickey Mouse, there's a new sheriff in Flavortown! This ain't no kiddie meal, folks. We're talking a shrimp-tastic feast that would make Bubba Gump blush. I inhaled THIRTY (yes, 30!) plump, juicy shrimp, each one bigger than my thumb. Scampi? Check. Peel-and-eat? Double-check. This wasn't just dinner, it was a crustacean carnival. But wait, there's more! In a moment of temporary insanity, I paused my shrimp marathon to savor a perfectly cooked prime rib. It was so good, I almost forgot to Instagram it... but hey, priorities, right? Now, all this deliciousness comes at a price. Prepare to shell out around $225 for a family of three. Not exactly chump change, but hey, you can't put a price on happiness (or a mountain of shrimp), but you can take a star. So, if you're feeling flush and craving a seafood or prime rib adventure, dive right in! Your taste buds will thank you.

Lauren N.

Yelp
Chef Mickey's at Contemporary serves up a decent character breakfast buffet. They have the standard Disney breakfast fare- Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, beignets with blueberry sauce... you get the picture. Food is decent and is constantly being replenished, but we're not here for the food- we're here for Mickey and pals. Our toddler absolutely LOVED seeing Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto (just wish Daisy was there to round it out). All the characters stopped by our table and the staff checked in to make sure that they all visited, which is much appreciated. In my opinion the visits felt rushed compared to the other character meals we've done, but we still had a nice time. Chef Mickey's would be an ideal breakfast before hopping right on the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom.

Kate H.

Yelp
Great experience! Came here with family during a Disney trip last month. We were seated in the 'back' area (behind the buffet), which I really enjoyed. It seemed a bit quieter back there than some of the other seating areas. The food, for a buffet, was surprisingly good and I liked the variety. With it being a character meal they could have easily stuck with kids favorites and bland chicken, but I saw some great salads, steaks, and even some Indian fare. Everything I had was good, including all the desserts! You'll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy. Cast members came around to let us know they'd be coming out soon, which was helpful so you didn't miss anything being at the buffet. They came out one after the other, making the rounds to each table. They will definitely take pictures and sign autograph books. Afterwards, the cast member came back to confirm every character had come to our table (they had), which was nice. I did see them mingling at the buffet, so it seemed like they really made an effort to get to everyone. It is expensive, but you are paying for the character experience. Between that and the food, we felt it was worth it. The Contemporary has such a fun atmosphere as well.

Manuel F.

Yelp
Another wonderful experience at Chefs mickeys we have been here numerous times , the Food excellent, The atmosphere Friendly family oriented, our server Meghan B .was exceptional, Friendly, helpful, Professional. When in Disney make a Reservation you won't regret it . I highly recommend it .

Allison R.

Yelp
I would recommend this Disney character experience 100% of the time. We went for their breakfast buffet. It's pricey, but there is an abundance of food and a great variety. Everything I tried was delicious! The whole experience was priceless for my son. He loved seeing the characters constantly walking by. They got out and danced a number of times, and he danced right with them. Every character personally comes to visit you one-on-one at your table. It was so much fun for parents and children alike, plus great food!

Kristin K.

Yelp
Chef mickeys is the most beautiful experience in the entire world. Y'all leaving negative reviews get over yourself why yall writing paragrpahs about a restraunt with people dressed like a mouse get a job chef mickeys

Naftali H.

Yelp
WOW! The food was amazing Service was good too he ambiance was nice DON'T LET MICKEY TOUCH YOUR KIDS.

David J.

Yelp
We went to Chef Mickey's character dinner with our two granddaughters. It's a wide open place, pretty big room. We were greeted, seated, and served promptly, although the service requirements were minimal since it's a buffet. The food was good and the selections were adequate, but then you're not there for the food. The character aspect was excellent, as all 5 characters visited our table and spent considerable time, with autographs and hugs. Overall a great experience and decent meal, at, of course, Disney prices. Don't go for the food.

Debbie F.

Yelp
In all my years I have never been able to book this place same week or same day but this time I could. I told my family for a later RSVP and watched as they came with anticipation, and once they saw Goofy from the reservation stand, their eyes lit up. Customer service was superb. They thought about all the details. The buffet was in Disney style, and everything was top star. I have paid more money for less quality so this was a great value.. Green Beans, mashed potatoes and prime rib were my top choices I would return certainly for, and of course the signature desserts too. Each character visit to our table and area brought joy and happiness to kids and adults. From start to finish, I would definitely do this again. PS.. catch the fireworks on the terrace..

Jordan C.

Yelp
Truly a magical experience! I'm not a tightwad but the costs of some things Disney can feel eye watering. On its surface this feels like one of those BUT for the kids it's hard to beat the experience. The kids get to meet all the main characters basically one on one and you get so many great pictures it's unbelievable. The food is also great for the kids. From waffles to biscuits your kids will be loaded up quick. This is one of those things that's worth the spend. It's worth noting that there actually isn't a lot of seating and the people sitting before you can impact your experience. despite needing a reservation, you may wait 30 minutes or more so please plan for this. And you NEED a reservation of course, this is a popular thing. Service is excellent and at least as good as expected for Disney. Servers do have to handle a lot of tables full of big parties but are friendly if you have to flag them down for anything. Anyone around is also able to help which is a pro of the Disney experience vs many other places.

Jean Sébastien F.

Yelp
Chef Mickey is the typically character breakfast at Disney world. But they upped the menu this year and are now offering more different food then other breakfast, which is nice. The food itself is good. Not 50$ good but you got the character experience tax and the Disney tax. The breakfast offering consists of scrambled egg, many different potato casseroles, tater tots, charcuterie and cheese, freshly carved ham and beef, pancake and Mickey waffle, vegetable, many desert offerings (forgot to take photo) and some other options. There's even a tofee option. The ambiance here is also typically of Disney restaurant. Loud, big and crowded. Character here are Pluto, goofy, Donald and Mickey in chefs apparel. Once you finished eating, you have a photoshoot with minie in her chef apparel. All in all, a one shot deal experience like many character dining in Disney world because of the price, a bucket list experience.

Tania D.

Yelp
Come here for the Disney characters and not the food. The restaurant is busy, hectic, and even the character interactions are rushed. Not my favorite Disney character meal, but brought my grandson for his 2nd birthday dinner since it has the OG Disney Characters. The food items are limited and nothing memorable. Also found too many international dishes which limit even more of the dishes one may like.

Jean Claire G.

Yelp
I was so excited taking my kids here and it was above my expectation. Booking online is not as easy because during this time I see that they barely have available reservation so I'm happy I found an available date. When we got there we had a little bit of a hard time looking for parking and we waited for about 5 minutes to finally found one. This experience is nice because its outside the parks and its in one of the disney resort so you don't have to have a pass or disney ticket to dine in. It was located on the 4th floor of the disney contemporary resort. Whe. we got there we check in and they inform us that well get a text message when the table is available and it give us time to check out the place. Theirs a small arcade and stores that you can check so my kids really like walking around. We got the perfect table because it has the view of the monorail so its extra entertainment for my kids while eating. The food was good and theirs actually a lot of choices. My favorite was the corned beef with potato and biscuits and gravy. They also serve coffee and juice with the food. We took the monorail after eating to check out the other resort and checking out their stores. Overall it was a really nice experience! We really enjoyed it.

Yelp
we had a very enjoyable time here! the characters were lots of fun and came one after the other, so while it was a little chaotic we didn't run the risk of missing anyone (and they checked as well that we got to see everyone). food was actually really good!! lots of variety, but the soup never got replenished closer to the end of the night and what was left was super concentrated. the decor could definitely do with an update, but overall a wonderful time (two adults no kids!)

Yelp
Located in the Contemporary Hotel at Disney World in Orlando, this all-you-can-eat restaurant is very family friendly. We had the dinner buffet $66 and $41 for children 3-9 served from 5-9:30. Throughout the dining experience, Mickie Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy made appearances at each table for photos and hugging. All the kids and adults too are very entertained. The food is pretty good with many choices. The parking was $35 unless you come in on the monorail or are staying there.

Yelp
Wow, the variety of food to choose from at Suppertime was awesome. The food was very fresh and delicious including the various desserts also. If you have dietary concerns there is a variety of choices to fulfill the needs of the guest. The hostesses were extremely friendly and nice. Made you feel welcomed. Our server was a bit shy but was very attentive. The 5 characters came around and spent a decent amount of time at our table. It was amazing seeing them and the ambiance was great. imho, it was amazing!

Yelp
Always one of my favorite places to go. I do miss they're original Buffett style they had where you get it your self but I also do love how they bring you buffet food in a family style setting. You don't have to touch alll the same utensils as everyone else. Cause let's be honest majority of people DO NOT wash their hands before eating. The service is always amazing and of course we get to take photo ops w Mickey and his crew. The food I will say is to die for all of it even the desserts. We go probably once a month!!

Yelp
While in Disney World with my family, we had made a reservation for noon at Chef Mickey's about a month to five weeks beforehand. I would definitely recommend making a reservation Chef Mickeys is located at the Disney Contemporary Resort and is very easy to find upon arrival. The monorail takes you directly there. We got there a little bit early and we had to wait a little bit. They have a professional, Photo pass Photographer standing there, so that's always a fun way to kill the time. The hostess greeted us, she escorted us to the back room. It looked like it was for the smaller kids celebrating a birthday or other special occasion. At first I got a little nervous because I saw the characters walking around and nobody came over to us for about a half hour. Our servers kept telling us not to worry and that they would make sure that every character came over. The characters in play are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Sadly... No Daisy. She must've had other plans. They dance, they come up to you, take photos with you, and interact with your kids and adults. They sign your autograph book if you have one. We got a chance to meet all of them. They were really patient as well. Took all the photos that we wanted, spent time with my son. He was in awe. They have a lot of options in their buffet, however, you are definitely not paying for the food. You are paying for the experience and getting to meet the characters. The food is not one of the meals you are going to remember after your trip, if you do it right. It's not terrible either, but it is a buffet. I would recommend this experience because it's a great way to meet all of the characters at once so you don't have to go chasing them down at the theme parks. You get to choose your food, of course, at the buffet. The server will bring over coffee, orange juice, water. They also brought my son a cute little cupcake at the end. The Mickey waffle is pretty good. Don't drink the orange juice... It just taste awful.

Yelp
We met Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, and Goody here. The food was excellent for a buffet. Countless options. Our kid had an accident and we had to rush our meal, but still had a chance to get photo oops with the characters. Would absolutely book again. Great all around.

Yelp
This is a go-to for any first time in Disney World. This was the first restaurant we went to, and quite frankly a very satisfying and delicious introduction to the restaurants offered by Disney. Located in the Contemporary Resort which housed a few stores that were great to cruise around while our table was being ready, Chef Mickey's went to great lengths to ensure our dinner was an amazing experience. The buffet was excellent: we all tried the prime rib, (perfectly cooked, I might add), homemade mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, a salad bar, bacon and cheddar soup, the list goes on. To complete the meal, they also offered delicious desserts such as lemon/strawberry cake, chocolate cheesecake, and Minnie and Donald cupcakes. All of the house cocktails were well balanced and complimented our meals. They also included a guide of what foods were allergy friendly. If you were wondering, the meal and cocktails (I believe the other drinks were as well) were included in our dining plan, making the experience well-worth it. The characters also made appearances throughout the night, and we took memorable pictures as well as had a great time as a family. Around the restaurant, the kids who were there were having the time of their lives, dancing and interacting with the Disney mascots. The staff were also very friendly and ensured each character visited each table. They were very patient with our group, and were always checking up on us. This restaurant really made our trip a memorable one.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Chef Mickeys celebrating my moms 80th birthday.. the environment is so warm and welcoming, the staff was amazing and the food was top tier and so tasty. What we really enjoyed the most was the excitement the characters bring to the environment. We had breakfast with the characters decades ago and it's still such an amazing experience. I'm telling everyone to go when they visit and I can't wait to return..

Yelp
I was really surprised at how underrated this restaurant. Is it a little pricey? Yes but no... The buffet is HUGE and has so many options to choose from for every palette. We went for the breakfast buffet and the food was really good!! We had to take a couple trips to even try everything we wanted to try. It's a family-friendly environment and the staff is really nice and on top of everything you need. They offer a complimentary juice that was delicious and our son loved it! For the amount and the quality of food, I definitely feel like this is a step above your average buffet. For the price - you really get a lot for your money. Also, you're guaranteed to meet the 4 *main* Disney characters. Each character stops at every table and really takes their time with you. Taking countless pictures, interacting with the kids at the table.. in my opinion, it's worth it because you don't have to stand in long lines to meet each character and that frees up more time spent in the park to do other things. Missed a character??? A "character attendant" will stop by your table to make sure you met with all 4 of them! If you missed out on one, they'll make sure that character stops by before you leave. I gave it 5 stars because of the quality of food and the whole package that comes with it.

Yelp
Food buffet was absolutely awful. Everything was cold, slimy. How hard is it to keep the butter chicken warm and simmering ? Why are you serving raw beef ? Absolutely almost no one orders rare beef at restaurants except for cannibals and adventurists. When I asked for medium there was a 10 minute wait beacuse they had a tiny pan for such requests. Why not just cook it medium in the first place ? Basically the food tasted worse than a college dining hall, but more than $65 per person, I would expect a little more effort. Character dining was mediocre. The characters did not talk. Minnie danced some, which was probably the only highlight.

Yelp
The service is superb! Every staff person, including the waiters, wants every family to have a fun time. We did! They made sure all of the characters visited our table for dinner: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. The characters were so energizing. My kid loved taking photos and dancing with them! We will be back and probably try brunch next time. Our dinner was good but for some it was a bit too salty. Fun atmosphere inside Disney's Contemporary Resort! The ambiance is perfect for families!

Yelp
Food and ambiance were excellent. I particularly appreciated the large selection that included ham and roast beef, tho a breakdfast faee. The Mickey/Minnie cupcakes were tasty , as well as, cute. All ages seemed to enjoy the quality, efficient servers; as well as, the fun Disney charactsrs. However, I saw no benefit in standing in line to visit Minnie, when she could have also joined the other characters as they visited with guests. The cost was a bit too much, but I assume all costs have increased in this National economic situation. I would t recommend paying xtra for special drinks. They looked inviting and tasted fine, but too much for children, as many nearly full drinks were left behind at tables. Was fun and worth the visit for all ages, especially for 'believers'.

Yelp
Only if you are a Disney fanatic. It's a long story on how 6 adults at a conference ended up eating dinner here. We do have some funny videos to share, haha. On a positive side, drinks were good and Characters were a lot of fun, even for us. They come often, dance, take pictures and interact well. However, the way I would describe this is Golden Corral meets Disney. Food choices aren't very appealing for dinner, lots of cheap looking fried options. The prime rib and vegetables were fine. I was pretty let down by desserts, which looked pretty but were below average. The chocolate chip cookies were the best dessert. With a meal, drink and tip, it's ~$100 a person. Of the 4 dinners over my 4 nights, this ranks lowest, 4 of 4.
