"Chef George Mendes of Michelin-starred Aldea has taken over Chef’s Club Counter in Soho at 62 Spring St. for a new pop-up. Until August 28, the restaurant will be serving healthy fare with Portuguese touches from AMAR, including a black rice dish with coco-curry and seared tuna, or a paella made with quinoa." - Eater Staff

The best place to get a quick bite. I was in the neighborhood and only had cash with me. The place is credit card only. The giu who works there let me pay with cash and he used his own credit card. Thank you! I got chicken schnitzel with salad and it was the best! The chicken was fresh with crunchy bread crumbs Perfectly made. The salad was awesome. Paid $17.42 for the bowl of salad with schnitzel and hot tea.

This place is so unique - a hidden gem in SoHo! I had the avocado toast topped with tuna and it was absolutely devine. Their menu is limited but if you're not a picky eater then it shouldn't be a problem. Highly recommend!

This place is very special, because this restaurant is a restaurant for pop-up restaurants (I hope that made sense haha). The restaurant changes themes from time to time and I had the chance to go to chef’s club counter for the first time ever for the “bobs burger” pop-up burger joint. First of all I waited 3hrs in line to get this burger, yes 3hrs! But I am happy to say that it was worth it. The modern decor was nice along with all the Bobs burgers theme in it. I want to talk about pricing, the burger was a combo which came with the burger of the day, fries, a keychain blind box from Kidrobot, a sticker, and a very nifty card with the ingredients and instructions on how to make that specific burger you bought. All of that for the price of $20, which it can be worth it to some people. If you’re a fan of the show like myself then yes it’s worth it. The burger was very delicious, toasted bun, it was on the medium side so it was nice and juicy, gruyere cheese which is amazing cheese. The fries pretty much looked and tasted like McDonald’s fries which were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. Aside from that this place deserves 5 stars. Hope to visit again for a different pop up :) A.M.

Was here in August 2018 when it was Dog Haus. Not the full menu from the location in Los Angeles. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Public Restrooms. You order at the counter and they bring the food and drinks to the table that you're sitting at. There's so much toppings that you don't really taste the sausage. Nice staff. No cash accepted, so bring your credit cards. Pretty expensive even for NYC. My advice, give it a try and you decide..

Delicious delicious delicious! Everything here is so so good I can't wait to go back! I went for the AMAR menu. This restaurant menu is created by Michelin star chef George Mendes and model Sanne Vloet which is really cool! It was definitely one of the reasons why I wanted to try this place When you first walk in, you are greeted by the staff at the counter/cash register. You go in and you order your food. Then they give you a number and bring the food to you once it's ready My friend and I ordered the quinoa paella with chicken, the smoothie bowl with oat milk, and the pastel del nata, plus a latte. The quinoa paella with chicken - it looked and sounded so simple but the taste was amazing and far from simple or basic!! The seasoning on the chicken was so good and really well done. Eat it with the arugula, the quinoa, the goat cheese and it's a party in your mouth! It's so good and the chicken is so tender - again very well cooked/grilled. Never would have though to eat goat cheese and chicken together! The smoothie bowl - absolutely a must if you like açaí bowls. I have never tasted an açaí bowl/smoothie bowl as good as this one. You pour the milk on it and you mix it up and eat it. I was amazed because it's so flavorful! You can taste the freshness of the fruits and the açaí at the bottom, but then there's also a taste of toasted oatmeal and nuts, and basil! Never thought basil in my açaí bowl would taste good but it was such a fresh flavorful addition to it! The pastel de nata - I loved both flavors (egg custard and blueberry). The pastry part was very flaky but also like a croissant and the custard part was so creamy and light! I would eat this every day if I could! Yummy yummy!! All in all, food here is really well done. Staff is friendly and the space is beautifully decorated. You should definitely come and try the food or the pastel de nata!

We came in for dinner when they had the Ramen Hood menu featured, ordered the garlic ramen and the rice bowl. Both were very good. It is a cafeteria style atmosphere but the food and service are good. Prices are moderate for a midtown location with seating.

Went here when Amar was the "resident restaurant." The Portuguese themed food was spectacular and well priced. Service here was also phenomenal. We had w but allergy they the stuff accommodated without any hesitation. Definitely want to go back to eat at Amar and I want to come back to see what other chefs have go over at the Chefs Club Counter
