I had such a great experience with this French bakery! If you are looking for an amazing dessert, this is the place. I needed something special for my husband’s 50th birthday, but I didn’t have much time to plan. Usually, they need three days’ notice for a Frasier cake, but they were so accommodating and managed to have it ready the very next day. The cake was honestly perfect—light, creamy, packed with fresh strawberries, and just so delicious. My husband (who’s pretty picky about his desserts!) was beyond happy and said it was "the best cake he had ever had." If you want an authentic French bakery that cares about its customers, you need to check this place out. You will not regret it!

I love that it feels like they took a blank page and transformed it into a taste of France. The music and the aroma of fresh baked pastries welcomed us in before we even opened the door to smiling faces. I had also brought some books and art supplies along with me and before long was so immersed in the cafe's ambiance that I completely forgot the bustling fm1960 that I was just on. We enjoyed their chocolate almond croissant, chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and an Americano in their outdoor seating and when it got too hot, we transferred to the seating inside. Thank you Chef's Providence for providing a lovely spot for a sunny afternoon date.

The croissant was fluffy, nice size, it was a good sweet balance. Also good enough to share with one other person. I would go again.

I placed my first phone order for quiche at the Old Town Spring location. The customer service over the phone and in person was pleasant and professional. I was given instructions on how to reheat the quiche since my plan was to serve it to guests the following day. The quiche ended up being amazing! It was so delicious that everyone wanted to know where I got it from. I will definitely be ordering more. Thank you Chefs Providence!

Google
Wonderfully friendly service. The Goat Cheese Spinach Quiche was full of savory flavor with a lovely crumble to the pastry. The Chocolate Croissant was extraordinary, crisp & flaky exterior with a warm interior with a great chew. The chocolate was perfect, not too sweet & just the right amount. Also enjoyed the latte. Highly recommend! Service & food are hands down 5 stars. The cafe itself is lovely. If it's not too hot outside, plan to eat on the patio. While it's nice they offer inside seating, it was limited.

Google
Such a cute hidden gem that everyone should know about! It's literally an authentic little piece of France 🇫🇷! The food is amazing and the staff is inviting. We got a croissant, quiche, cookie, and bag of croutons. Everything was delicious! There was French music playing, a nice seated patio area, and the shop itself was sooo cute! Definitely will be back! Like I mentioned before, hidden French gem 💎 ✨️!

Google
Found this place while searching for bakeries on Google Maps. It is inside an office building and at first glance is not easy to see. But it has a full cafe setup and there are tables and chairs in front of the bakery within the office building. Got ham and cheese croissant and quiche (forgot what kind) warmed to eat soon, and also apple tartlette, opera cake and butter croissants. Everything was very good and loved everything. We talked with a lady who helped us and a pastry chef, and they were friendly and very kind. Good gourmet taste and with homemade feel. Definitely will come back and also want to check out their booth at Woodlands Farmers Market (on Saturdays) that they told us about, too.

Google
Absolutely delicious! The location is in some professional buildings so you have to park and walk towards the back! But it’s on the first floor and has a nice patio deck. My husband ordered a cappuccino which he said was delicious. I ordered a Frappuccino which is a double shot of espresso poured over ice and milk - it’s NOT an ice-blended drink! It was amazing and the whipped cream was fantastic. I also ordered a chocolate croissant and it was hands-down, the best croissant I’ve ever had in my life. So flaky and crispy! My husband got the almond croissant and that was amazing too. Owners are so incredibly friendly as well!

Yelp
Super cute French bakery in Old Town Spring. The owners are super friendly and wonderful. Everything was delicious. My friend and I had croissants that were top notch. I brought my husband home some pastries, all of which he loved. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
The best croissant in Houston. Not an exaggeration. Everything I've had from this bakery is wonderful. The breads, the Viennoiserie, the chocolate, the savory items .... all have been perfect. So good and consistently good that you wonder why other places can't do this. Perhaps one reason is that the owners are all chefs and have taught French cooking. Notably, Chef Pascal taught at Le Notre in Houston. There is no doubt that a number of chefs in Houston have been taught by Pascal. In addition to the two locations, they do a number of farmers markets. I am fortunate to now live near their location in old town Spring. It is a family run operation. There is always a family member at the markets or on site. They're all truly wonderful people. I feel fortunate to be near a bakery, this good.

Yelp
Great coffee and almond croissants. Kind of nestled in a quiet office park, so don't give up on finding the door!

Yelp
It's heartening to witness the success of a small business like Chefs Providence, thriving without the conventional backing of local food critics, elaborate marketing campaigns, or the influence of social media. This authentic French bakery has become a cherished establishment among its supporters, flourishing organically through the enthusiastic word-of-mouth of its patrons. My heart overflows with joy and gratitude when I witness my friends, including those visiting for the first time, thoroughly enjoying the wide array of sweet and savory treats at Chefs Providence. These joyful gatherings, where the establishment's quality offerings and exceptional service meet the customers' appreciation and enjoyment, elevate the spirits and satisfaction of both the business and its consumers. A heartfelt thank you to my dear friends, and to Chef Maxime and Mama Sylvie, for making my day truly special. Each of my writings about Chefs Providence feels like a love letter, portraying the bakery as the epitome of authentic, top-quality French cuisine in Houston. Vanessa and I are always greeted with new surprises and delights with every visit. Among the many items we adore, this time, the Galette des Rois, a traditional French king cake ordered by Vanessa, stood out as the best we've ever experienced. This exquisite dessert is distinct from its more colorful New Orleans counterpart, focusing on simplicity and elegance. It consists of a delicate puff pastry crust filled with a rich frangipane, a creamy almond cream filling that is both sweet and slightly nutty in flavor. The frangipane here, made from scratch, has the perfect sweetness and complex notes that we have not found elsewhere. The Galette des Rois is adorned with a beautifully patterned top, scored with an intricate pattern, and brushed with a sweet glaze to give it a golden finish, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate. We will special order this celebrated pastry again to mark the Epiphany at the beginning of January. Another delightful moment worth sharing is when Chef Maxime presented Vanessa with a custom-made Religieuse au Café, allowing her to enjoy her all-time favorite dessert fresh. Vanessa's generosity in sharing this treat with our friends, who declared it possibly the best pastry of their visit, filled me with immense happiness. Initially, I feared our metropolis might overlook such local treasures, but the diverse and continuous flow of clients into this charming bakery, all leaving with joyful smiles, reassures me. We aim to visit as often as we can, eagerly anticipating our next gathering. (I was enjoying the day so much that I didn't even take any pictures. I will have to wait for others to post them.)

Yelp
Really sweet service. I had the cappuccino and apple turnover. The cappuccino was well balanced and smooth. The apple turnover is made in house and fresh-- not too sweet. The pastry was light and delicate. One of the best I've had! I will be back to try more as they also have a variety of croissants, cakes, and quiches. They're located in the center of a sleepy business building on the first floor (park anywhere) and have an outdoor patio with lovely French music playing. I found out this family run business also sells at the Tomball and Woodlands Farmers Markets, so check them out!

Yelp
Outstanding place. We travel to France a lot and upon moving to the area we were skeptical about the food scene. We tried their food first at the Farmers Market and we were immediately impressed. Everything tasted exactly like our favorite patisserie in France. You can tell the quality of the ingredients based on the result. The croissants, the palmiers, the tarts, the breads and last but bot least the financiers. There's nothing they make that is less than outstanding.

Yelp
I went to their new location in old town spring, my daughter and I bought several pastries, they were amazingly delicious and we are looking forward to returning, we are absolutely delighted by these tasty deserts

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. I came across it while I had some time to kill and I'm so glad I went in. I ordered a couple of amazing quiches and a croque monsieur. They were so wonderful. The quiches had a perfect crust and were full of flavor. It's a bit tricky to find but well worth it.

Yelp
Truly a family owned hidden gem. The service and pastries are absolutely incredible!! The owners were so welcoming and took the time to explain what they baked in the shop as well as the items that were imported in from France. I tried 3 different croissants: plain, chocolate, and almond. I also tried the bacon, potato, and onion quiche. I shared with my colleagues and we were all blown away by the freshness and taste of the ingredients. You will NOT find anything like this around here. I will definitely be back very soon.

Yelp
This is a little Hidden gem French family owned bakery, located in spring Northwest Houston. The pasties are of the same qualities as those you will find traveling to Paris, France. The chocolate bonbons are made in the house in the respect of the tradition. The "pains au chocolat" and "almond croissants are nice and flaky and they are made with "Beurre de Baratte" real butter when most of the competitor will use margarine to reduce the cost. The quiche Lorraine and Croque Monsieur are also very tempting. Do not hesitate to stop by to say Bonjour! as they are very friendly and have some sweet macaroon or even just a few baguette, this bakery is worth the detour.

Yelp
Nice family from France runs the bakery. I had a delicious croque mon sieur. I ordered a latte that was fresh and hot. And then we got a baquet to go with it. The have three small tables outside the door.

Yelp
I found this quaint and lovely jewel a few months back and I always pop in when nearby to get a coffee or pastry or both. My wife LOVES the coffee and almond croissant as a favorite, and I really love the croissant and sweet pastries I've tried. Each have been totally different and equally as tasty. The service and friendly faces of Maxime and Sylvie are always welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth a try if you're nearby. Enjoy!

Yelp
Amazing desserts and very fresh food! It is a family business and the parents and son run the store as well as make all the pastries themselves, I talked to the woman and she was super sweet and I definetley recommend this to anyone who wants to try fresh authentic French pastries and desserts!

Yelp
they have the best crossiants at the woodlands farmers market! highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
We tried a bit of everything here, and if this was within a 15 minute drive, I would probably come regularly. The person working the store was very friendly and I wish them and their business well. However, while the pastries, chocolates, and bread (baguette and sourdough) were good and much better than grocery store offerings, they were not worth a long drive when we could instead go to Houston's top bakeries.

Dionne H.

Yelp
Amazing Lemon Meringue pie is served here. I hate to say it but it's better than my grandmother's pie. May she forgive me and not turn over in her grave!!!

Yelp
We ordered a chocolate mousse birthday cake with only a day's notice. Not only did they accommodate us but provided a beautiful and amazingly delicious cake. It was without a doubt the best cake we have ever had. We will definitely be back!!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
What a gem, hard to find but worth it. It's inside what looks to be an office building. They are also at the Woodlands farmers market on a Saturday morning.

Tree P.

Yelp
Exceptionally good. It isn't fair to expect an authentic French patisserie in the middle of NW Houston, but here you go. Genuine, high-quality pastries that can rival anything in the middle of New York City or any major city. Delightful owners that were friendly and warm, and the quality of their products is vastly better than anything around. Common Bond is probably the only place that is decent anywhere remotely close to this, and then ZunZun Coffee which is towards 290. Le Madeline is nearby but I mean that is so far below this in quality, that I am not sure it should even be mentioned. Look forward to returning often and soon.

MELISSA C.

Yelp
Everything about this French bakery is fantastic! The coffee is delicious, the pastries, and bread. We were drawn in by the delicious smells while in this office building. Owned and operated by a French family who all came out to greet us and thank us. I hope we were successful in talking them into coming to the Cypress farmer's markets or even better yet opening a store there.

Tweety B.

Yelp
Absolutely best experience amazing food I had the apple turnover and a croissant and customer service immaculate very good people, 10 out of 10 recommend.

Beth H.

Yelp
Wonderful authentic French bakery! It is family owned and every pastry is carefully prepared with the finest ingredients and love!

Caralyn V.

Yelp
The croissants were made fresh and were so soft and flaky and the hot chocolate is amazing! Not too sweet and it was so creamy,I'll definitely be going here again!

Don F.

Yelp
Went a few days ago. without a doubt, the best croissants, French Baguette's and pastries I've had outside of France. staff is friendly and accomodating. Will make this a weekly treat! Highly Recommend

Brian H.

Yelp
Tucked away in an office building, this place had one of the best croissants I've ever had. Super nice folks, too.

Teresa R.

Yelp
Everything is great about this place. Love all their products and the owners are fantastic, too.
