So good! I went to Chelo and wow… the food was amazing. It’s Persian cuisine and everything we ordered was full of flavor. Totally recommend if you’re in the mood for something delicious. The place has a cozy and chill vibe, perfect for a date or just a nice dinner. Great service too, and everything looked and tasted fresh. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. Go check it out!

Chelo in Roswell completely blew me away. I’ve been to plenty of Mediterranean spots before, but this was actually my first time dining at a Persian restaurant and if this is what Persian cuisine is like, I promise I’m catching up ASAP. The vibe at Chelo is calm, elegant, and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can really enjoy your meal it’s a romantic dinner, a client meeting, or just a night out to treat yourself. You can feel the care they put into everything, from the design to the service. Now, let’s get to the food because wow. The flavors were layered, rich, and beautifully balanced. You can tell they don’t just cook, they craft every dish with intention. The Filet Barg with saffron rice was the absolute highlight. That filet mignon was soft, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. And the saffron rice? Delicate, fragrant, and full of that golden warmth. As we say back home, eso estaba a otro nivel. The staff was friendly, 100% professional, and really made the experience even better. They knew their stuff and made great recommendations without being pushy. As a Dominican who loves discovering new flavors, this was a refreshing experience refined, soulful, and full of surprises. If this is the standard for Persian cuisine, count me in. I’m officially on a mission now. Would I go back? No question. Chelo gets a solid 5 stars plus and if you’re in Roswell or anywhere nearby, put it on your list.

Exquisite! The food is fabulous, the service excellent, and the atmosphere inviting. We came for a Sunday lunch and had Kashke Bademjan, Mast-O Khiar and flat bread for appetizers. The main courses included Ghormeh Sabzi and Chicken Kabob, both with perfect crispy saffron rice. We had so much we were delighted to bring our leftovers home so that we can enjoy another day. We were not going to get dessert, because we were so full, but the Kunefe sounded intriguing. The server told us it would take 20 minutes to prepare - would we wait? We decide to do so and discovered that the Kunefe was MORE than WORTH-THE-WAIT! We HIGHLY recommend this place!

My wife wanted to try some place new and my wife’s friend recommended this place. We booked a reservation and when we walked in we were the only people inside. I was very worried at first but when the appetizers came out, all my fears went away. Everything we had was AMAZING..!! I had Persian food before but nothing this good. Our waitress was very nice but could had done better checking on us throughout our meal. I had to get her attention twice to request a refill of soda. Other than that, the decor inside is different but sets the moods. Parking is a HUGE pain which there is COMPLIMENTARY Valet parking. I highly recommend doing this verse trying to find parking on your own. We will definitely be back and I plan on bringing my entire family here as well.

So, decided to stop by Chelo for my birthday this year, and what a treat. Cozy, comfortable and delicious all around. We went on a Sunday evening for a 6:30 reservation and used the complimentary valet provided, which was a treat in Downtown Roswell. Everyone here was friendly and professional from the moment we arrived.  We sat inside in one of the booths, and it was really good to see this place as busy as it was. For appetizers we ordered the Feta Cheese Rolls, Dolma and Kashke Bademjan (a fried eggplant dish). For dinner we tried the Lamb Kebob, Beef Koobideh and Lamb Koobideh. The seasonings, sauces, and the assortment of rice that come with the entrees are very flavorful. Thank you Chelo team for an awesome birthday meal :)

Went there for early lunch for my boyfriend’s birthday. In love with the atmosphere and interior decoration. Price is very reasonable for food. I have had Persian food from other places, here’s another one that I would recommend. They complement us with baklava for birthday and also we ordered ice cream, they were sooo good. I love this place.

I recently visited Chelo and had an amazing experience! I tried the salmon kabobs and lamb kabobs, and both were incredibly flavorful and tender. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the lamb was juicy and seasoned to perfection. To top it off, I had their baklava ice cream sandwich for dessert, which was absolutely delicious – a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try authentic Persian cuisine!

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time. The cocktail was generous (I believe it was called a Berry Fiz?), the Chelo Dip was unlike anything I’ve personally had but bursting with flavor, and the lamb kebabs were so tender and perfectly seasoned (the sabzi polo rice was perfect too)!! Free valet, the ambiance was moody & not too loud (the chairs were also oddly comfortable), and decent service (not the best, not the worst — they did take my coat & box my food but weren’t as attentive as I’d have liked). I think overall, the food, drinks, flavor, and experience make it well worth the price. If it says anything, I’ve already set a reminder to make a reservation here for my birthday in June (but I’m sure I’ll be back many times before).

Delighted to have Chelo in our neighborhood! It is excellent in many ways - great food, extensive menu, attentive and charming wait staff, knowledgeable and talented bar staff, and a fun vibe, with seating inside or on the large patio. Finally, valet parking and self-parking nearby add to the convenience. We will be back!

Saw this restaurant on my social media feed and decided to give it a try. The first thing that caught my eye was the absolutely stunning bar - it truly served as a beautiful focal point for the entire space. There was also inviting greenery decor, which added a vibrant touch. While the ambiance was a delight, parking proved to be a bit of a challenge, even with their own lot. I order a drink which arrived in a charming copper glass, a nice detail. Grape leaves for appetizer was great. For our main course, we opted for the lamb kabobs and the lamb sandwich. Both were good! The lamb was tender, moist and flavorful. A special shout-out to the fries that came with the sandwich; they were yum. Despite being moderately busy for lunch, the service was prompt, and our food arrived at the table quickly. Overall,good food and decor.

Chelo was perfect! Valet parking was complimentary, the service was attentive and our server was really sweet, and the food and drinks were so good. We had their Sparkling Berry cocktail (beware, this is large and strong!) and their Desert cocktail (our fav!!). For food, we got their Chelo dip (the jalapeños added something different!), Lamb Koobideh, and Chicken Barg (both tasty), with Sabzi and Shirin Polo (the savory and sweet mix was perfect). We went on a Saturday night, made a res for 4:30 since there were none available otherwise but it was pretty quiet until around 5:30.

Fantastic food, service and ambiance. The feta rolls were unique and delicious. Wonderful plate with pita bread as a complementary starter. I had a salad and chicken skewers as a meal and both really unique and tasty. Great location just on the other side of Canton street.

We mostly came out to drink and I enjoyed all of the cocktails. Especially the Desert and Souffle. We did order a bit of food and everything tasted very good. The people working here are friendly and do a good job checking in.

Came here with friends while I was visiting Atlanta and had a great meal! The space is really cute with moody lighting and lots of greenery. Our server was prompt and efficient. We started with an order of dolma which were very tasty. We also got the baba ganoush and Chelo dip, both of which were very tasty and the bread served with it was pillowy and warm. For my entree, I got the chicken sultani with the beef koobideh and the baghali polo ( the one with dill and fava beans). I absolutely loved it and I'm still dreaming about the dill rice. Highly recommend!

Wow!! This place definitely takes best Persian Restaurant in town!! And the fact that it's in the heart of Roswell, makes it even more attractive! The ambiance is top notch! The cocktails were so good!! We had the soufflé which was the tastiest espresso martini ever! Then, came our dinner. The presentation was top notch. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth good.. Oh, and the staff was so friendly and professional. The bartender Umut was so sweet. We'll be back for sure! PS. Quite honestly, I was so into the food that by the time I remembered to take pictures, our plates were licked clean!!

This beautiful little Mediterranean restaurant perfectly executes the best of this type of cuisine. Combined with top tier service, this has made my list of favorite restaurants in the Northern burbs of Atlanta. I started with a Turkish coffee. Not for the faint of heart! But if you've ever had Cuban coffee, sort of similar. Small, potent, and full of robust deep coffee flavor. We shared feta rolls drizzled with a sweet sauce. We shared a salad that was similar to a Greek Salad, full of flavor and healthy stuff. Next, I had the filet Kabob with a unique rice side that makes your Momma's rice look like child's play (sorry Mom). The Kabob was very tender and very flavorful. The way steak was meant to be cooked. For a cocktail, I had the Elixir. It's their take on an old fashioned. Not too sweet, and definitely not traditional, but POTENT and delicious. I'm glad I only had one as it creeps up on you. I've tried dozens of Mediterranean restaurants in the Atlanta area. This is one of the few I'll be going back to.

Chelo is a quaint, little restaurant located in the heart of downtown Roswell. Complementary valet parking is offered and there is also self-parking nearby. We came for a birthday dinner and opted to sit inside due to the better ambience. The patio was covered in bright lighting and surrounded by glass walls and didn't have much of an ambience to enjoy however, many guests seemed to enjoy sitting out there. We each started off with the sparkling berry cocktail, which was served in a huge goblet and consisted mostly of berry juice without any noticeable vodka. It was a large portion size, but very weak and watery. The waiter seemed very busy and preoccupied with other tables, but offered adequate service. We decided to do a family-style dinner and ordered the ghormeh zabzi, the lamb shank and the chicken kebab. The food was tasty and flavorful, but the portions were small compared to other Persian restaurants, especially in regards to the rice portions. They offered a baklava dessert and the baklava was quite dry and mostly consisted of Filo dough and needed more honey. All in all, it was a pleasant dining experience but it just didn't have the WOW factor.

My daughter wanted me to try Persian food so I took her and fiancé to Chelo for dinner. I loved the decor and atmosphere and the service was excellent. We all three ordered appetizers and they were dropped off quickly and all were very fresh and tasty. For our meals we ordered lamb chops, lamb koobideh and beef koobideh so we could share and compare. My daughter and her fiancé loved them all and they would certainly have given Chelsea a 5 star rating. I'm guessing that Persion cuisine is just not my thing because none of the entrees made me want to come back. I expected more flavor but all three seemed bland to me. Overall that's two 5 stars and one 3.5 star from our group.

I absolutely loved Chelo. The food was so flavorful, cozy atmosphere, great service, and even better price point in comparison to other popular Middle Eastern restaurants like Delbar and Rumis. This was my first time visiting to celebrate a birthday and I was thoroughly impressed. The tabouleh tasted fresh and the hummus was perfect. The chinjeh was savory and packed with flavor and the sauce that comes with it just really brought it over the top. The lamb kabobs was so tender. Inloved the broth the lamb shank was in. The branzino was delicious and all of the rices were amazing. The chocalate cake was decadent and the kunafeh was so good I forgot to even take a picture before diving in. This place we'll have your stomach full and your tastebuds dancing!

Great food sans ambience. Customer service was a bit cold but fine. Would definitely go and try more food. The good was delicious.

Another visit to this restaurant in Roswell. After such another nice experience, high on my go back here list. As a large group with a reservation (I recommend making reservations!), we were seated immediately. Booths or table are available. Warm and comfortable The waiter quickly brought some bread and nosh for the table and took our beverage order. I like that. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious selections - I chose the filet kabobs and saffron rice- YUM! I am anxiously awaiting my next visit to try this delicious food again. Maybe lunch? Enjoy this wonderful spot in Roswell.

This is a brand new place. Beautiful inside and the menu is authentic. The servers and owners were amazing and very informative of the dishes. We had a vegan with us and she wanted to know specifically what was in each dish so if it was vegan. We had several appetizers all vegan and then we all ordered whatever we wanted as our main. I tasted everyone of the dishes and all were fabulous. I had the salmon. I tasted the lamb the duck. The chicken was delicious also. We had drinks and we got some with a Persian twist. I had their smoky whiskey. Amazing! I will definitely come back and pass the word around

Wonderful Persian cuisine, full of deep, robust flavor and cooked perfectly. Can't say enough about the lamb sandwich ... and the bread which is perfectly crusty and perfectly soft. Service was great despite lunchtime having really, just one server. The interior is beautiful. The seats are comfortable, and the bar is well-stocked. I came with a large group, each paying separately. It doesn't seem to be their norm to manage this, but they were very accommodating despite that. Great place for date night, and even has its own tiny parking space, which is a gem for historic Roswell.

We stopped in for lunch. Wonderful attentive (but not intrusive) service and excellent food. The dining room is a bit dark but we got a table by the window. That is the only thing that I though could be better. I forgot to take photos. The food was amazing.

Ok food nice dining, beautiful bar. Very nice hospitality, friendly staff. We'll go back and try the bar.

Awesome neighborhood Persian restaurant! Atmosphere is cozy, romantic, and not too loud (at least when we went). Plenty of tables but you might want to make a reservation beforehand to be safe. Can't go wrong with ordering a few different rices, kabobs, and dips. Ian was our server and made our experience top-notch! Don't forget to try the baklava ice cream sandwich - so unique and delicious.

This was my first time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cute and inviting. However the tables were entirely too close together. They are so tight that the waiter and customers frequently bumped into the table or my chair. They only have booths a long the wall. We did ask to move to a booth however they said they were reserved. However, two of them sat empty for the entire time we were there. The food was tasty and I would add this to my rotation of places to visit but it is just too tight and uncomfortable

The restaurant is a gem. The decor is romantic, food was delicious (though a bit pricey). There were a lot of delicious sounding drinks on their cocktail menu. The service was amazing. Definitely will be going back

the atmosphere, service, food and drinks were absolutely amazing. we've returned several times and the quality is consistent. only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because the super creepy owner/manager parked his car in the handicap spot and sadly a disabled customer had to navigate coming in from the alley.

Food was 10/10! We love Persian food and this place is AMAZING! We went early since we had our babies with us and our toddler loved the food! We ordered the chelo dip, lamb shank, chicken kabob, and a few cocktails. Everything was so tasty and on point! The portions are plenty to take home and the service is good! The only downfall was the baklava wasn't super great. Maybe it was an off day but other than that everything else was fantastic.

Second time at Chelo and this time we tried Sunday Brunch. Absolutely decadent meal. We went right at 11am and had the place to ourselves for the first hour or so. Mimosas and Bloody Mary's to begin, an order of lebaneh to get us started and then beef koobideh wrap for me and koobideh and eggs for my friend. The flavors were just as amazing as our first visit and the staff is some of the friendliest we have encountered in the area. This place never fails to deliver an amazing experience.

I think it's pretty nice. Good food. I like the atmosphere. Idk if I think the food is excellent but it's really good. My martini was in fact excellent. My daughter loved the rice. Mine is good too it's just sweeter. Loved bringing my kids here. I wore a pink and purple shirt tonight.

Definitely make a reservation on the weekends! We dropped in unexpectedly and had to eat at the bar because the wait was like 1.5 hrs. I'm not a fan of eating at the bar, but it was still a great experience. The bar tender was very attentive and the food was so good that I didn't mind my legs swinging at the bar. We were quite hungry so we ordered the hummus, feta rolls, and the cauliflower appetizers. All delicious! I ordered the Salmon with the raisin rice. The salmon was so well seasoned and juicy. Can't wait to go back.

Horrendous food and customer service. Save your money and frequent Rumi's Kitchen instead. Their food and customer care is impeccable. I told our server that my food was basically inedible and all she said was I'm sorry. They then said you still have to pay for your food. As if I wasn't going to! Extremely rude! I will NEVER go back and will make sure I tell anyone I know how I was treated!

The food was top-notch. The service was great. It was a little pricey, but worth every penny the drinks were fabulous. The interior was very luxurious enjoyed it can't wait to return.

First and foremost what a beautiful renovation from the space that was previously there, it's so chic and lovely. We sat at the bar, were immediately greeted by 2 bartenders who were beyond attentive and helpful throughout the night. We sat there for practically 4 hours eating , drinking and enjoying ourselves. The food was delicious. Mediterranean spices, big flavors and I must say the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The cocktails were unique and soooo good. I can't wait to go back maybe even this weekend. I suggest reservations. I'm not one to document my experience with food often but I did take a drink pic. It doesn't do it justice though, I highly recommend Chelo!

Found this place for a last minute birthday celebration and it was phenomenal. Food was superb and we had a really great service. Everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend the filet mignon kabob bc it was amazing. So so good. We went on a Monday night so it was no wait with great atmosphere.

What a wonderful surprise! We were walking around on Roswell Live night trying to find a new restaurant to try. We stopped by Chelo to see their menu and we were greeted by the most wonderful hostess, Betul. She not only walked us through the menu, but she shared her favorites and made the perfect recommendations. We decided to grab a table outside on the deck and we actually ordered all of Betul's recommendations. We started with the Feta Cheese Rolls which tasted like homemade. We also ordered the Filet Kabob, Shrimp Kabob, Shirin Rice and Coban salad. Everything and I do mean everything was delicious! My favs were the Filet Kabob with the Chelo house sauce....so flavorful. Also I've ordered Shirin rice from all the popular Persian restaurants in the ATL metro and this rice was my favorite! Betul stopped by our table at the end of the dinner and we were excited to tell her how much we loved everything. I can't wait to return!

Everything about this place is spot on. Food, service and decor all 5 star. Second time I was there and just a fantastic lunch. Best rice I have ever put in my mouth. This place is truly a hidden gem in Roswell.

First time. Five stars on facility, service, and food. We had several items: Tomato salad Lamb sliders Chicken kebabs Saffron rice Yogurt Persian and Turkish hot tea Baklava ice cream Highly recommend Five stars

Dinner was actually very good, I really enjoyed the chicken and the rice options were phenomenal. I thought the steak was dry. My biggest complaint was that dirty dishes sat in front of us several times for quite a period of time. I don't think this was on the server but I'm thinking she might have taken better control of the situation. The ambience is fine. Valet parking is five dollars. I don't know if we'll go back.

This place is quite good. I really like their outdoor space--lots of shade. The food is delicious--their feta is so creamy and the olives are well spiced. The pita is fresh and I loved all of the sauces and accoutrements. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Wonderful addition to this crowded foodie area in Roswell. Ambiance inside is casual chic and very comfortable. Lighting is perfect for a romantic dinner. Love the bar area. The lamb a shrimp kabobs were delicious!! I haven't eaten that much rice in years. Yummmm Extra perk is valet parking

Great new Persian restaurant in Downtown Roswell. The restaurant is very welcoming with its own dedicated parking. The ambiance was very beautiful and the food was absolutely amazing! For appetizers, we had the cucumber yogurt and the Kashke Bademjan. For our main course, we had the Chicken Sultani and the Beef Sultani along with Baghali and Sabzi polos ! Everyone's food was on point and very tasty! We are so excited to have a Persian restaurant so close to East Cobb! I would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved Chelo! I am falling deeper and deeper into a mad obsession with Persian food! Chelo really encouraged my addiction with the most flavorful meats, and crispy rice! We loved everything about Chelo. The dim-lit candlelight ambiance, decor and size of the restaurant itself. Our server Ian greeted us promptly. He was super personable and attentive. Ian helped guide us on a few of our entrees. We ordered several appetizers, a couple of salads and entrees to share. Everything was fantastic! First off, the Feta Rolls, OMG. Make sure everyone at your table gets to try one. The sweet and savory together is so good! The Chelo Labneh, so good with the naan bread, fried cauliflower was also great, and of course the Dolmas, which was good and rice wasn't too mushy or overcooked. Chicken Barg- fantastic, would definitely order again, Lamb Kebob-tender flavorful, would definitely order again, Beef Koobideh- also flavorful and so good, Chilean Sea Bass-winner and all time favorite! Would order this over and over again! The Sabzi Polo Rice and Saffron Rice were awesome sides and will forever love the crispiness of the rice and flavors! We had such a great evening, and can't recommend enough. Besides, downtown Roswell gives you the option to walk a bit after dinner. Thanks Chelo for a memorable meal!

The food is soooo good!Lamb kabobs are my favorite. Even the fries are delicious, shaped like little scoops with the tahini ketchup dipping sauce. The Ambience alone is enough to keep coming back. The staff was superb to say the least.

Flavor of the food was 5 stars. For a canton street business, it has significant free parking. Unfortunately the service was poor despite an empty restaurant. The server spilled a bunch of water on my lap. She apologized, but the service stayed subpar. She only half filled our water glasses, and despite asking for more, it never arrived. I ordered the house wine, but they were out. Also, and I couldn't tell with the low lighting in the restaurant, but when I looked at my leftover chicken at home...it was pink! Ewww. Lastly, the server said she could not split our check for both guests. The best she could do was split the check down the middle, which was annoying because my friend ordered some to go food for his family. Annoying

First thing, when you walk in the ambiance is amazing! The service is so efficient and nice. We grabbed an amazing drink at the bar and were seated in no time. Had Val as a server and she had great food recommendations. 10/10 date night or night with the girls spot, will be back!

Wow! We tried Chelo for the first time for our anniversary dinner and we were so impressed! The food was amazing...the flavors, the presentation. 10/10 The intimate vibe inside the restaurant was my favorite!! We enjoyed the cocktails, the Oasis was the best espresso martini I have ever had! Henry was awesome, so personable and attentive! We will be back!

Amazing newer restaurant in Roswell/Canton street. Everything was excellent about the evening; service was fantastic, great recommendation's and the food was phenomenal. The Sea-bass was extraordinary, literally melts in your mouth. A new top 5 restaurant for us in Roswell. Get a reservation, tables go quick!

Food was yummy. Service was good until after 2 hrs in the middle of our meal they asked us to leave because we were there for 2 hrs. And it wasn't anywhere close to restaurant closing time either. I see several other customers have also complained about the same issue. As a business major from an Ivy League school I don't think I need to tell any business that customer comes first. It was like saying to us we think we have enough of your money bye bye!! I loved the food but after spending 400$ and could have ordered more don't want to be driven out of a restaurant in 2 hrs when we were having a quiet family night out. I can't go back there or recommend this place. Not sorry. They should apologize for extremely poor customer service.
