The food was okay, I’d say portion was a bit small for the price. The quality seemed pretty good though. It was part of the experience to eat there when we stayed on the ship. I don’t think I’d eat there again though. The views were beautiful!

Google
Our youngest son has long wanted to see the Queen Mary. We made dinner reservations on the ship. Since we were dining, we didn't have to pay admission to the ship. After dinner we explored the ship and had a lot of fun. The food was delicious, but pricey. If you factor in what we didn't spend on admission, the restaurant was a bargain. Definitely recommend it if you're wanting to check out the ship.

Google
Pretty good food. We got the clam chowder, wedge salad and shared the fish in chips. Everything was great. The views looking out are wonderful. Just very cool eating on such a historic ship.

I came here the other night with my boyfriend for a dinner with an ocean view. I loved being able to make a reservation ahead of time, and the staff was very nice once walking in. Make a reservation ahead of time if you go, or it’s around $40 per person to get on the ship. Parking is validated at the restaurant too. The restaurant was nice, but the service was very slow. Our wine glasses were very dirty. There was a hair on my boyfriends food…and there was a fire evacuation during our dinner. Overall, my food was fine. I wouldn’t come to the restaurant again, but would rather try the Observation Bar at the front of the ship, that has a sunset view apparently.

Outstanding experience from start to finish! The service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed a breathtaking view of Long Beach harbor while soaking up the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Visited for my birthday and was thoroughly impressed. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful, complete with whole clams. Absolutely delicious! The garlic roasted oysters were a standout, bursting with buttery and garlicky flavors reminiscent of my favorite charbroiled oysters in New Orleans. Our steak was grilled to perfection, and the buttered bread rolls were irresistible – we couldn’t resist getting a second serving. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend making reservations in advance. They also offer half-off parking validation.

Chelsea Chowder House & Bar A must try while staying on the Queen Mary. The service is absolutely first class. The historic furnishings are wonderful. You have to try the Chowder! The fish and chips were delicious.

Very cool experience on board the Queen Mary, now permanently moored at Long Beach Harbor. So much history within its walls! Now a hotel with two restaurants, bars, coffee shops and gift shops. Such a unique experience to dine on a ship now 89 years old. Lots of parking right next to the hotel, and the restaurant will validate your parking ticket for dining there. The restaurant itself is very pretty with a classy ambiance and slightly-worn patina. Tables look out onto the water and across to boat docks and buildings of Long Beach. Service was attentive, friendly and professional. The menu has a variety of options including seafood, fish, steaks and chicken, most priced in the $40 range. My Cioppino seafood stew was outstanding and included a lobster claw and tail. Overall, a very good experience and highly recommended if you're in Long Beach and looking for a very unique (and good) dining experience.

Yelp
Ate here last night after touring the QM. The food and service were great, my girlfriend and I talked about coming back just for the restaurant on another night. We had the mussels and clam chowder, which were very tasty. We also ordered bread service and it comes in this cool little iron skillet thing. The bread was tasty and perfect for dipping in the sauce that the muscles came in. She had the pasta and I had the steak. The pasta is listed as one of their specialties, and it did not disappoint! I'm getting the pasta next time I go. Service was great, servers were refilling waters before we can even think about it. Dirty plates were picked up super quick too. I ordered a drink from the bar and the bartender delivered the drink directly to me at my table. Drink was super good (forgot what it's called, but tequila drink with some sort of cinnamon thing in it). We had the crème brûlée for dessert and we loved how that crunchy sugar layer was a thicker than any other crème I've ever had. Super good! Thanks for the good food and service, we will be back!

Yelp
This was definitely a unique restaurant, and that is the main reason we came. With that being said, the food was mediocre at best, but the view and service were decent. The filet mignon was not worth it. It was bland, but cooked well. The fish and chips were decent. The clam chowder and creme brulee were the stand out food items. I would get those two items again. Very expensive meal that was not worth the price. The server was attentive and nice. The whole ambiance is definitely different. The view is gorgeous. Since we came on a Monday, it was less crowded. TLTR: ok food, great view with good clam chowder and creme brulee

Yelp
Visited on Friday 2/14, made reservations a lil more than a month ago, it was supposed to be a group and then trickled down to just 2. I appreciated the host asking if we were ok with waiting for a couple more minutes for a table by the window. I don't believe it was packed most of everyone had a window view. We started off with the bread service, ahh ahhhhmaaaaazzing super yummy fluffy bread cluster and whipped butter, a must for sure! My entree was the pasta in a garlic cream sauce with veggies and shrimp, it was ok nothing to write home about... with a glass a Kung Fu Girl Riesling which made it all better, not many places carry this wine, made my night. I ordered a salad but server must have forgotten, so it never arrived and our food came out fairly quickly so I decided to not mention it. My partner got the 14oz steak cooked to his liking with some veggies. Be aware it was literally 3 small potato wedges, 2 asparagus and a carrot... wish the server could have suggested to get a side of mash cause that was just not great sides... He said steak was good. Uhhh I almost forgot they have a speakeasy called No3. We explored around the ship looking for it, I was excited because I was told it was a burlesque show but not much was happening... On our way out, we ran into a bar towards the front of the ship that did have some music. We will be back to check out that bar next time. I will say having dinner/ lunch is worth it bcs there is a fee to visit the ship and so when you have reservations you are allowed in for no extra charge.

Yelp
When it came time to plan something special for someone close to my heart, I knew I had to pull out all the stops. So, I decided to take a scenic drive up to Long Beach and visit the Queen Mary--because what says "special occasion" better than a historic ocean liner? Of course, no grand evening is complete without a stellar meal, so I made reservations at Chelsea Chowder House & Bar, hoping to get that dinner-with-a-view experience. Let me just say, my expectations were not only met, but exceeded--though I do have one tiny regret: not wearing stretchy pants. Finding Chelsea Chowder House & Bar turned out to be a bit of an adventure. The restaurant is tucked away so discreetly that it almost felt like we were on a treasure hunt. There's only a small, modest sign that says "restaurant," as if it's trying to keep the place a secret. But a quick inquiry with one of the friendly Queen Mary staff, and we were directed right to it. The moment we walked in, I knew we were in for a treat. We were seated quickly, and from our table, we had a view that could make a postcard jealous. We started the evening off with an espresso martini because why not kick things off with a little sophistication? This drink wasn't just good--it was exceptional. It was like the perfect blend of smooth, rich coffee flavor and just the right kick of vodka, topped with a creamy foam that made each sip feel luxurious. It set the tone for what would be an unforgettable meal. Our server, Angel (and yes, the name was perfectly fitting), was an absolute gem. He wasn't just serving food; he was crafting an experience. He offered spot-on suggestions for both the drinks and the food, and we took his advice on just about everything. For our main course, we went all out and ordered filet mignon--one done medium, and mine rare, because I like to live a little on the wild side. When the steaks arrived, I swear time slowed down. They were cooked to absolute perfection. My rare steak was seared on the outside, with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center that was as flavorful as it was juicy. The medium filet was equally flawless, earning an immediate seal of approval from my dinner companion. But we didn't stop there. We added sides of buttery mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and grilled carrots. The mashed potatoes were so smooth and rich, I briefly considered asking if they offered it in bulk to go. The asparagus had just the right amount of char from the grill, adding a smoky depth that was irresistible, and the carrots were caramelized to sweet perfection, almost making me forget they were vegetables. Just when we thought we couldn't possibly eat another bite, Angel swooped in with the dessert menu. We caved and ordered the apple tart with vanilla ice cream, and let me tell you, it was the cherry on top of an already amazing meal. The tart was warm and flaky, with just the right amount of sweetness from the apples. The vanilla ice cream was the perfect complement, melting over the tart in a way that made each bite better than the last. I'm pretty sure I experienced a moment of pure bliss with that dessert. As we wrapped up the evening, I couldn't help but think how Chelsea Chowder House & Bar nailed it on every front. From the hidden-gem atmosphere to the impeccable service and out-of-this-world food, this place is a must-visit for any special occasion--or just whenever you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. I'm already planning my next visit, and this time, I'll definitely be wearing stretchy pants. Take it from me: you're going to want the extra room!

Yelp
This review will be glowing-- get your glasses lest you blinded for awhile by the dazzle and sparkle that is coming! I have a friend who is visiting from Colombia, William. He wanted to experience the 4th of July, he wanted to see the fireworks. Ugh. I'll go because he is a tourist and I do not want to deny fabled frolic to a newcomer but I know that the 4th is a red, white and blue mess: People all around, on top of each other- and not in a mash pit kind of way- everything is packed, everything is expensive and the service staff is tired, over-worked and can be sour in their tone. But he needed to experience the madness so he could know the unpleasant bustle of belonging to the streets on a major U.S. Holiday. I will say that William and I did experience this when we went to the Queen Mary- where Chelsea- is boat-housed. But during our dinner we heard a server tell a couple of dinners: "Chaotic is Patriotic." I informed the server that she should stitch that into a pillow. Her sentiment assuaged my frustration at the varied bumps of the day cause the server is right- if I want to celebrate the freedom of America, I need to understand that I am another loyal fan of the 50 states and I should be happy that I get to be part of the red, white and blue mess. But I am getting ahead of myself. Let me start at the beginning. And like so many other stories this tale begins with a line. Soon after getting to the Queen Mary, I asked a young person to direct me to a restaurant with a nice meal. He interpreted my request as asking for a fancy place. I corrected him and said, I am looking more for an elevated place. The guy directed me to the Chelsea Chowder House. William and I went and we were informed that the place does not open till 5. Great. We went to the top deck heard the US of A Anthem's and saw some planes of yesteryears fly. I was proud to be American. We went back to Chelsea around 5:10 p.m. And the wait was already a two hour long ordeal. William was kind enough to wait in line while I waited at the bar. I took him back some red Margarita's that tasted like a jolly rancher. Jose was the one who made these special drinks. They were majestic sweetness in their taste. I chatted with some people in the bar, I took drinks back to William, waiting in line has never been so fun. I found a way to make the moment joyous and I had support from a friend. But for all the other people just waiting--- the line wait must have been a hate of a wait. A sign could have helped. A sign up sheet might of help. But apparently the long wait was part of the 4th. The place does take reservations on this date. William and I had more drinks. We had steak. We had salmon. We the parker rolls. We could only have one serving of the rolls-- they ran out. This is small piece of evidence that the place was experiencing a unique struggle on this date. But the food, the food was spectacular. The salmon, the steaks, the sides offered (these super well roasted potatoes) everything was sublime. I defintely did not expect to have a grand steak dinner on this date and that is exactly what I had. And then the desserts--- my palette experienced fire works. We had the cheesecake, and we had the lava cake, it was all uniquely delicious. I really wondered who made these desserts. I wanted to shake the person's hand, and maybe even asked them to pucker--- yeah these were some of the best desserts I had eaten in my life. I told William that he would not be able to taste them after I had some. I said he could order more. He declined. But the desserts were beyond! I wanted to put a note as a picture. I could not so I type it here: To the Chefs: I know many dread working on a Holiday but I wanted to let you know that I am grateful for your work today---- the meal was beyond exceptional! The desserts were a dream, the steaks and sides- all were poetry for the palette! Thanks1

Yelp
So let me start by saying a couple of things...I do not like giving low star reviews at all and when I do, I always will talk with the Manager of the place because I want them to know that I'm not only doing a review but why I'm rating the way I am. I had a good conversation with Fouzia, who is the Food and Beverage Manager, after our meal and she thanked me for the feedback. We were a large group (17 of us) with a reservation. We were seated in the back, left side of the restaurant, which was actually perfect because there were no other guests around to be bothered by the large group. Our server was Luke and he did a good job with everything (more in a moment about this). Because of the size of the group, Luke was asked initially about setting up separate checks based on the make-up of the group. He told us that the policy was he could take three credit cards and the remainder in cash. Several in the group seemed to be ok with this (wife and I were a bit concerned because we only wanted to pay for what we ordered, but...went with it!). Will jump ahead because at the end of the meal, the bill became a fiasco and one of the party protested about not having separate bills based on make-up of group and in the end, separate checks were issued although there were errors on some of them. Bread is charged separately and because the size of our group, wife and I decided to just order what we wanted and let the rest do their thing. They do not supply bread plates, so be prepared! Ordered bread for us and when several orders came out...ours did not. Was told that all of the orders were delivered. Again, reminded Luke that we were ordering separately from the rest of the group...took several moments but another order of rolls came out and unfortunately were placed at the other end of the table. Fortunately someone else realized and said something and our order was shifted to us. By the way, rolls cost $6 and they were warm and good! Our receipt was charged for two orders...we let it go! We also ordered the Scallop Risotto: The scallops were delicious! They were cooked to perfection with that perfect crust and tender inside. The risotto, meh! Not very well seasoned to be honest. There was chopped up asparagus mixed in the risotto but you couldn't taste that at all. I ordered the Halibut and after being asked how I wanted it prepared, I chose the sautéed method. It was the blackboard special so was to come with cherry tomatoes, zucchini, Kalamata olives (they were actually black olives), capers (I counted four) oregano sauce, microgreens. Could not eat this fish, it was so overcooked it was uneatable and I sent it back. Luke came back and said the kitchen agreed and offered to make a new one to which I declined. Here's the comical part of all of this! He offered to make it up by bringing me some of their tortilla soup...which was delivered in a paper cut (can't make it up) and four of tried it and it was terrible...thick, tasteless, yech. Luke again tried to make that up by bringing a bowl of their "famous" clam chowder...again three of us tried it and it was pasty, tasteless, had a few whole clams and was covered with croutons. I let Luke know both were horrible. I am not going to say more about the food...pictures say it all. The salad was wilted with some slimy pieces and didn't even present nicely because you could see the wilted lettuce. I'm stopping here...I'm giving two in place of one star only because Luke did his best, although he also had several missteps. He kinda forgets frequently! He did share a couple of stories about the haunted Queen Mary, which was interesting. Oh, and the water glasses were constantly filled and no one had to ask for more water! I cannot post about other's dishes but will say that everyone, overall, agreed with the two star posting I was doing. Not a great experience!

Yelp
This is the Queen Mary's one big sit-down restaurant that is currently open. Designed and decorated to take you back to when the ship was still sailing, they have great period music and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the harbor. Service is decent. With this in mind, we were very excited to have dinner here. But the food was the worst food we've had at the price point that they charge. The Fritto Misto was extremely bland, the breading was undercooked and falling off the fish, and there were many pieces that seemed like they just put fried breading into the basket - whether or not there was anything in the breading was debatable. The only redeeming quality of the dish was the citrus aioli. The fish and chips had the same problem - very bland. The breading was even worse than on the Fritto - you would pick up the fish, and the whole thing would crumble and fall apart. Definitely needed to be fried longer. The potatoes were decent - could've used a bit more cook time, but decent seasoning. The Shrimp Casarecce was decent - a little salty and the portion was smaller than what I would expect. We each got a simple drink, and after tax and tip, our meal came to $150. The regret for paying this much for this food was high. You are solely paying for the ambiance of eating on the Queen Mary when you come here. If that is worth $150 for two for you, then go for it. Otherwise, I would look for food off the ship if you want a good meal.

Yelp
Wow, what an absolutely fabulous Mother's Day dinner! The view is unparalleled, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was spot-on. We had a Caesar salad, the rosé, the salmon entree, the fish n chips, the crème brûlée, and the cinnamon apple tart. Each thing was delicious on its own, and combined it all made for an exquisite meal. Our server, Stacey, was friendly and attentive, as were the bus staff. The salad was large enough to share and very zesty. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The fish n chips had 4 big pieces of perfectly breaded, flaky, delicious fish. And the 'chips' - one of a kind! Uniquely spiral cut, crunchy potato rings. Nice, dry rosé (Hampton Water). And the desserts! Oh my. Save room. One of the best creme brûlée's I've ever had. And it's on the QM! What could be better? Staring out over the beautiful ocean, marina, and downtown skyline. I only regret that it's taken me so long to come here, but I will definitely be back. :)

Yelp
This restaurant is fine, but nothing worth taking a special trip for - if you find yourself on the Queen Mary, this is one of only a handful of dining options. The food was good but not great, the big standouts were the views of the Long Beach waterfront and the excellent service.

Yelp
We were staying for a few nights onboard the Queen Mary. We checked in sometime in the evening and were starving. Midship Marketplace was already closed, so we ate at Chelsea. Service was charming and fantastic. The ambiance was pleasant with a beautiful view of Downtown Long Beach. We started off with the Fritto Misto, which was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the Double Angus Beef Burger and I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich; we were both so hungry, I think we each wanted something to really sink our teeth into. We had Sidewinder Fries for our sides, which brought me back to Peaks Restaurant in Palm Springs (where I first ate such fries). Our dinner was delicious and satisfying. Nice way to end the first night of our stay.

Yelp
Love the food and the service was excellent must try. I had the lamb chops delicious very tender. Go on the ship for free if you have reservations.

Yelp
Had a good experience dining here with my family. 5/5 stars to the staff, everyone was friendly and provided great service. Cool ambience, too, with art featuring interesting facts about the Queen Mary and a great view from their big windows all along the ship. The food was good, just a little on the pricey side.

Yelp
We enjoyed the atmosphere & the view. We couldn't have asked for more attentive service, we felt the staff was personable & went out of their way to make us feel valued. My husband & I shared the vegan "crab cakes" a delicious blend of chickpeas & artichoke seasoned to perfection. I had the mushroom ragu & my husband had the filet mignon - both entrees were delicious. Some of the better pasta I've had, loaded with veggies. The steak was fantastic (per the meat eater). I also recommend A Shore Leave Spritz, not too sweet & refreshing. This restaurant is well worth the splurge, especially for vegan options & steak!

Yelp
Drinks were very good, we had the old fashioned and cruise the something, (which I can't remember after 2). Calamari was nice and crispy, served with both tartar and cocktail sauce. Crab cakes, filet mignon, and Caesar salad were all delicious and cooked perfectly. Little on the pricy side, but great for a special occasion (our 30t anniversary), and to be expected for a tourist attraction. Great sunset and night skyline view of long beach. Service was great.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Sadly, was not that impressed. Our steak was over cooked, my chicken was dry. It was a challenge to get to the restaurant. When you go to the entrance of the Queen Mary, we told them we were going to the restaurant and she said to go to the ticket booth down the way and get a voucher. Kind of a pain to have to do that. The waiter and bar tender did not know what a bucket glass was for my husbands cocktail. Over all not impressed.

Yelp
After leaving my AirPods behind I tried calling twice to see if I could coordinate picking them up or something else. No one returned my call after leaving two messages. Super disappointed because we had a good experience before this. It's a great restaurant with good food and decent service but not even attempting to call me back was a deal breaker after dropping almost $400 on dinner.
google avatar

Jon M.

Yelp
My wife liked the chicken, but it was a but salty. and I had the fish and chips, which I liked. Good service and a wonderful view.
google avatar

Yelp
Chelsea Chowder House & Bar is mediocre, apart from the beautiful view of the beach. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder, which was good. The food portions are large, so I would recommend sharing. I also had some of the Sea Salt Crispy Potatoes which were tasty. The service was average too. My waiter was nice, but it took him a while to keep refilling my water glass. The place seemed short-staffed, however. Overall, the experience was standard. But, I would not recommend coming here due to the mediocre food.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Christmas dinner a few weeks in advance. A week before arrival, a manager called and explained that their system allowed me to reserve a time that was unavailable. They rescheduled me for an available time, which was fine. But upon arrival, the waiter provided us with a course menu priced at $95 per person. Their regular menu was unavailable for that night. This was never mentioned within my confirmation email, it wasn't listed on their website, nor was it mentioned during my advanced communication with the restaurant. The waiter suggested that we try the other restaurant on the ship - which was already closed. We left the Queen Mary feeling extremely disappointed and as if this restaurant tried to extort us. Even the hosts at the entrance of the ship had no information regarding the limited menu and were surprised when we explained why we were leaving so early. I also called the restaurant after the fact but they didn't answer and never called back after leaving a message. We were looking forward to a nice dinner at this historic ship but instead, this experience made me loose faith in humanity on Christmas Day.

Yelp
Our server "luke" was wonderful, really recommend the calamari or clam chowder. The views from our table were wonderful, we got the full ambience of the Queen Mary's beauty.
google avatar

Marley R.

Yelp
Came here for my mom's birthday. Service was great, very attentive. But the vegan crab cakes were bland, incredibly lean and felt like I was just eating hearts of palm. Recipe needed fat, or something to bind the hearts of palm to the phyllo dough (in case chef, manager or line cook is wondering). This was one where I felt I could've just put hearts of palm on phyllo dough from the store and made the exact same dish. The side of carrots we got was also wildly undercooked. Unsure if they need training on how to cook vegetables thinking back on it now. Our waiter was great but the food needs more dimension for the prices they're charging. And the few vegan/vegetarian options they have need serious workshopping.

Bryanna C.

Yelp
Service. Communication. Prices. Parking-OMG PARKING WAS ANNOYING. Overall it just wasn't worth it.

Yelp
Spent the night on the Queen Mary for my birthday. The restaurant was everything we expected to be and more. Server was amazing and fast! The views were also amazing. I could not have asked for a better seat. Hubby and I ordered Clam Chowder to share. It came out very different than we expected it to but I really enjoyed it. I just took the clams out. My dinner was the swordfish. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection. Hubby got fish and chips and his fries were awesome. I stole a couple. Only weird thing was the lights they chose to use on the tables. I do not quite get it and I feel like it takes from the ambience. The potatoes were so/so. Otherwise I would for sure recommend this place!

Yelp
Since we knew we were gonna be onboard we made reservations. It was nice and clean and of cruise the view was awesome! The food was good. Our servers and hostess were all friendly and attentive. Checked in on us but not to much. Water glasses were kept full. Drinks were replaced timely. Oysters were excellent! Overall it was a great experience. A good first trip to Queen Mary for my son who's been wanting to go for years. If you've never tried this place I recommend it at least once. I'd like to eat there again when it's darker. I think the setting would be excellent.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to visit the Queen Mary for the day and we had the best time. We were skeptical about the food since the ratings were lower but everything was delicious! We had the clam chowder which was creamy and good. The rolls are a must have. The crab cakes were some of the best we've had. Luke our server was great and made the experience even better. We had a beautiful harbor view. We are definitely going back to try more of the food items soon!

Yelp
Recently stayed on Queen Mary and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. The Parker house rolls are a must. Amazing light and fluffy. I had the Cioppino and although expensive was filled with seafood including 1/2 a lobster in a piping hot delicious broth!

Yelp
Very beautiful setting for lunch! The period music from the 1930s is a great touch that really helps you imagine what it might have been like to eat on board the ship years ago. Our server, Elvia was very quick, kind, and attentive. The portions were very generous. We shared a bowl of chowder, the crispy potatoes, and the club sandwich with side salad. The chowder was really yummy with nice pieces of clam and potato. The salad that came with the sandwich was really fresh and lightly dressed. Sandwich had lots of avocado and was really good. Only complaint is that the crispy potatoes were not very crispy, but they were well cooked Yukon gold potatoes and the side sauces were tasty. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. The Queen Mary is so special and full of details that probably will never be recreated. Seeing the Long Beach skyline over the ocean while eating was really special.

Yelp
Enjoyed their fish and chips, Caesar salad and bread and butter. The food was delicious, in large portions, and the service staff very attentive and courteous. It is also in a great location in the Queen Mary ship. Definitely a special, historical experience. The only bad thing was that the clam chowder was a bit watery and lacking flavor. Other than that it was a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
We had dinner reservations while staying in Long Beach. We arrived and the hostess knew and called me by name. There is a small bar to the right at the entry. We were taken to our table and seated and given menus. The dining area had nice lights that sat at each table. We placed our order after speaking to the waitress. We ordered a CCH bread service as an appetizer. We got two waters with lemon and our meal choices for the evening was eggplant manicotti and the premium black Angus filet mignon with asparagus. I must say the bread service was the best bread I have ever had. It was hot and soft with great flavor and sea salt on top, served with butter it was delicious. The filet mignon was so tender cut like butter just amazing, with a small portion of brocolli on the side. The asparagus was tender yet crisp. And the manicotti was great with the cheese and sauce just lovely. I loved the atmosphere and how it was spacious ample room the enjoy your meal. Seating was comfortable and I loved the lights on the tables that glowed on each table in the room. Simple but very nice. So its a great experience and I recommend it. The staff was friendly and very attentive to the customers and it was appreciated. I hope to return in the future.

Yelp
The locations amazing, being on the HMS Queen Mary. It plays period music and has period vibes. The staff is really nice with quick service, and the food is good and low key

Yelp
Amazing, amazing dining experience! Had dinner on the queen Mary ship and it was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The drinks tasted perfect and the food was delicious! I ordered an old fashion and a dirty martini and they had perfect amounts of alcohol and tasted very good. We Ali ordered the Misto Frito which was fried calamari, shrimp, scallops and zucchini. Everything was fried perfectly and seasoned very well. It came with a cocktail sauce and a horseradish sauce for dipping. We got the New York steak strip, and the trout which both came out with vegetables. I ordered my steak, medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. We also got their famous freshly baked bread to use for dipping in our soup and it was so yummy with some sea salt sprinkles on the top. We got the tomato bisque and New England, clam chowder. This was one of the best clam chowder's. I ever had! it was so creamy and delicious with some bacon pieces on the top. I also had a taste of the tomato bisque, and it was delicious but the clam chowder was my number one! Parking was very easy. They had a huge parking lot and we didn't have to pay, which was a plus! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Ruben!! Ruben deserves 10 stars!! Local to Long Beach but never have visited the Queen Mary, my husband and I booked a tour and then had dinner here at the chowder house. We were sat in the back corner and thought this stinks but soon it wouldn't matter.. Ruben greeted us quickly and made us laugh right away. When I mentioned I was pregnant and had a headache he asked if there was anything he could get me (very kind). He brought out bread right away knowing I needed to eat asap. Dinner was good, my pasta came out real hot.. and then he surprised us with a celebratory dessert.. really he went above and beyond and it will be the reason we return again! Thank you Ruben!! We had the eggplant dish and the shrimp pasta dish.

Yelp
I loved everything the food, drinks and service. We loved the view of the Long Beach Harbor. I just can't give it a 5 star because we were just there for dinner and we were asked to pay for parking and admission on to the Queen Mary. We had no idea. Really think there should be a better way to eat at their restaurants without full admission price.

Yelp
Aspires to be fine dining but is most assuredly not. Stayed on the ship a few days so gave the main dining room a few tries (as a somewhat captive audience). Ordered Oysters Rockefeller which had zero spinach or parm, was just breadcrumbs (what recipe is THAT?) Ordered a filet cooked medium, and got a grey one that had zero pink inside (and no crust or flavor ). Shrimp cocktail was mealy. Chocolate lava cake was overcooked and dry. Another night in the bar I ordered a happy hour "flatbread pizza" which was just a chewy piece of naan with some jarred Ragu slopped on it, and some pre-shredded mozzarella which was rubbery. The bar refrigerated their Old Vine Zin. Breakfast buffet was $28 and very "meh" ... I've seen better at a 2-star hotel. For the price it is not meeting any kind of expectation. I would pay more for an actual quality meal, prepared by an actual chef rather than a short-order cook. Ambiance in the bar is nice and live entertainment nights were fun, but don't eat here. I really wanted to love it but could not. Service was attentive, but not a lot they can do about what comes out of the kitchen.

Yelp
I am always concerned dinning at a restaurant at a tourist attraction such as The Queen Mary. However, this was an excellent experience. My wife and I split a 10 ounce filet along with wedge salad, clam chowder and the skillet rolls. That with a glass of wine was a great meal. I would recommend the Chelsea Chowder House to get a full experience of The Queen Mary.

Yelp
Yay!!! They've finally reopened the Queen Mary and with that, comes all the yummy restaurants, including Chelsea's Chowder. We went for dinner and breakfast the next morning. For dinner we ordered a burger with bacon and a New York filet mignon steak. Both were delicious and savory. For breakfast, we had a Belgian waffle, orange house, coffee (great coffee!), and eggs Benedict (well done & cooked). Service was fast and efficient. Waiters were very friendly and on top of it all. We will definitely be back for more! Also, they have a bar right before you enter the restaurant. We didn't stay for that but it looks quaint and inviting. Also you can't beat this view! Our server Wilfredo was super friendly and attentive. Now, we're just hoping they reopen the Promenade Cafe. Loved that restaurant too!

Yelp
Always have a great time here rather for food or just for drinks. The baked oysters are amazing. The sea bass was good as well. Will be back.

Yelp
This was a delightful dinner! They seated us with a fabulous water view, celebrated my birthday with a slice of cake and gave us excellent service. The steak was tender, they were accommodating of our request to put sauces on the side and the swordfish was amazing. Do yourself a huge favor and order the fried asparagus! So worth the extra cost. Our server was so good to us and had a warm and welcoming personality. We had a great meal, never felt rushed and had fun!

Yelp
Food was horrible. Scallops had a strong burnt flavor likely cooked in old butter and risotto had no flavor at all.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent! The halibut was cooked to perfection and I loved the seasoning and capers on it.

Yelp
With my father being a huge fan of the Queen Mary and it being his 70th bday, my family decided to surprise him with a dinner at Chelsea's. Boy, huge mistake. We showed up a few minutes early for our 8pm reservation and enjoyed a few drinks at the bar area with another smaller group. After 15 or so minutes we are taken to our table and greeted by Mandy (manager). I appreciated the personal touch and she said if we needed anything feel free to reach out to her and she will get it taken care of knowing we were there for a bday. Here is where things went south. After about 10 minutes of sitting were greeted by our waitress, offered drinks and appetizers and we ordered a few additional drinks and a round of appetizers. Another half an hour goes by and our drinks and appetizers come out. Now our order was taken. We did have a party of 8 but our orders were simple and nothing out of the ordinary. After another half hour out waitress checks in with us and says she's checking in our order. Another 1/2 hour goes buy(an hour since we ordered the main course) our meal arrives. 7 of the 8 received their order. I ask about my wife's order and the waitress apologizes and says she's right on it. As we waited a few family members cut into there steaks and after asking for medium, there were basically gray inside. After another 1/2 hour of waiting for my wife's steak to come out (1.5 hours since ordered) I finally tracked down Mandy and inquired into what the issue is. We have now been here over two hours(roughly 10pm) and my wife still has not been served. Within another 10-15 minutes the final entree is served. Being polite and not eating till everyone had food on the table, my food was ice cold, overcooked and I was not happy. My wife's steak was finally on the table but her side was nowhere to be found. Mandy came by to apologize and asked if there was anything else we needed and I simply said" the rest of my wife's order". She once again apologized and said she will take comp her order and work on some after dinner dessert for us when we're done. The final side was delivered. Mandy came by once again and offered a discount on the entire bill. Dinner was finished but my entree as well as the other steaks were basically not edible at this point. Before handing us the check Mandy came by and offered everyone champagne which at that point was a tad to late. Our check was handed to us, no offers of dessert( that Mandy said would be taken care of) and we paid the bill and left. On a side note, there was a party of 6 that was in the bar when we arrive early. It appeared they may not have had a reservation and they were seated about a 1/2 out after us. There were seated, served, ate and left in the time we ordered and waited to be served our entree.... I am still wondering what had occurred that the service went this far south. 3 of the 4 steaks essentially went into a doggy bag....for our dogs. What was suppose to be a night of celebration turned into a frustrating failure. Although the company was great and overall my father enjoyed the surprise and being with family, it was not what we had hoped for!

Yelp
My family I lyrics took me Sat 3/26 for post birthday celebration. We were seated on time for our reservation. Everyone was very attentive and personable. Food was excellent. Raphael who was our server was the BEST. Thank you Raphael for helping me celebrate my birthday and just being an all around COOL person.

Yelp
Good food and service but, overpriced and overrated. We were told that they are fully booked and we informed them we are staying in the Queen Mary hotel. They seated us 30 minutes later and there were at least 3 empty tables for one hour while we were having dinner, thus, the reason for the 3 stars.

Yelp
Any persons with young childern or just trying to dine BEWARE you will be charged 17 dollars to park and 18 per person over 3 on top of your dining check I was going to take my kids to a quick lunch after the Aquarium and thought it would be nice to support the ship reopening. When making the reservations online, it does not disclose anywhere that you will need to pay the above mentioned nor on the dining sites of the Website page either. It should be in yellow box disclaiming this. A 20 dollars sandwich I would paid for to have the experience with my kids, but to charge for entering without a tour, is insane. Hopefully this will change.

Yelp
Me and my husband celebrated Valentine's Day early and had an amazing dinner last night. Not sure why this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars because everything they made was so good. The service was great. The view was stunning. Do you self a favor and Treat Yo Self..

Yelp
First, let's start with the food. Whether you're a seafood lover or not, this place is the business. Customer service is over the top. Our waiter 'Hilario' was the best. As today, was my wife birthday, Hilario was the most attentive. Our service was non-stop. No sooner than I finished my drink, there was another one at our table. Our food came promptly. Hilario attitude is what one should expect when dining out. Now, for the food. Everything we ate was excellent. From the Calamari to the Shrimp to the Fish Tacos to the Spinach dip. Even the chips were delicious.. Everything was light and fresh. The batter used to coat everything was delicious. My salad was nice and hearty. This is an excellent place to come have brunch or dinner. The views of the harbor only adds to the ambience.
