"COVID-19 update: Open—though some amenities may be limited in keeping with restrictions. Situated on a pier along the Hudson River, this gigantic sporting complex operates out of the "if you build it, they will come" mindset. And it’s true: Here, you’ll find year-round ice skating, a rock climbing wall, gymnastics, soccer, a driving range, and more, all situated under one sprawling roof. Yelp
This place is awesome. Pier 62 has indoor basketball courts, soccer fields, gymnastics rooms, etc. Okay now that that's out of the way, the real reason I am writing this review is I just finished a pickleball league here, and need to write a message to the Fermented Cucumber faithful. I wont be speaking to the media or doing an exit interview, so this will be my final message for the Cuc fans until next season: First off, I would like to address the rumors head on. Yes, I had about 6-8 Tequila sodas on the yacht before the game on Thursday. After knocking off the #1 seed "It's Kosher" the week prior, I will be the first to admit I took "Dil with the Dinks" lightly, and it showed. The bigger picture is that I let the newfound fame, money, and success get to me. When you are from where I am from and receive a Brinks truck of money over night, it's hard to not get lost in it. Icarus, who ignored his father's warnings about his wings melting when flying too close to the sun, comes to mind. The former undisputed middleweight champion of the world Marvin Hagler but it ever-so eloquently when he said "It's difficult to get up and do roadwork at five in the morning when you're sleeping in silk sheets." I lost sight of what got me here, but I promise you, Cuc faithful, I am getting it back. There is a fire in my belly now bigger than I ever could have imagined. I am going to soak in defeat, and really feel this feeling to fan the flame for next season. Next season for us starts right now. We have a million and one excuses that we could go to. The fact of the matter is we aren't going to make one. The Dinks played better than we did in this series and we still had an opportunity to win it, but it didn't go for us. This offseason, I'm going to push myself to exhaustion to get back here. I will not sleep until The Alphabet City Fermented Cucumbers are the ZogSports New York City Indoor Pickle Ball Chelsea Piers Thursday night Champions of the World. As I write this, Drew Zhou and I are on the way to throw out our silk sheets. I will see you in the Fall, Cuc faithful. -J IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Yelp
Loved walking the harbor and seeing all the sights! It was a cold but sunny day, so the weather was perfect for taking a brisk walk around town! There were sightseeing yachts, whic

Yelp
Chelsea Piers is a series of piers in Chelsea, on the West Side of Manhattan. The piers were originally a passenger ship terminal in the early 1900s. There's been a lot of changes over the years. I always enjoy my visits to check out the latest enhancements to the area. There's always new businesses and environmental improvements including the public art installations that I enjoy. Located at Chelsea Piers is Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex. It's 28-acres located between 17th and 23rd Streets along the Hudson River. The complex features a Golf Club, a driving range, sports and training facilities, full-sized ice rinks, a bowling alley, and a venue that hosts weddings. This place is huge! This whole area goes by the name Chelsea Piers. I've spent many a day having adventures all around this neighborhood. I'm posting some of my photos so you can get a feel for the area. I always enjoy being close to the piers and the Hudson River. If you visit NYC do your research in advance before you go so you have a plan. There's far to many activities. Or you may want to just go for a long walk off a short pier! I'm a fan.

Yelp
I think if I lived across the street or within a few blocks from this revered, massive sports complex, I'd be spoiled and be here day in and day out- just because Chelsea Piers has a fitness area and space for almost any sport. I've never been, but hubs had brought my 12 year old daughter at the time to practice her basketball drills and took advantage of whatever perks were available 14 years ago. But since hubs and I were walking and running on the esplanade by the Hudson River recently, we took a slight detour, strolled Chelsea Piers' grounds and peaked in from the outside. I'm not sure what day passes are like- just go online. Double-check how far on track these folks are with COVID guidelines, what's reopened or not- before heading here. Otherwise, get your thrill on.

Yelp
I love the downtown Brooklyn Chelsea Piers fitness center. It is very clean and well managed. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of everything so even on a busy day you can get your workout done. The classes I have taken have been excellent with knowledgeable instructors and pretty accessible. Even if you are wait listed there is a good chance you can get in. It is by far the nicest gym I have gone to...the staff are very nice as well!!!

Yelp
I have been going to Chelsea Piers for years when it comes down to the: 1) Gymnastics Room 2) Bowling Alley 3) Ice Skating Rink 4) Driving Range 5) Rock Climbing Wall Today I spent my time at the Driving Range (golf) with my dad and a close family friend. We go through the regular process of reserving stalls and they are very good about putting each reservation together so that you can play golf together. They also carefully regulate social distancing, temperature taking, and mask-wearing. Playing golf at Chelsea Piers is always fun as are your other sporting and exercise experiences. For most of my time growing up with Chelsea Piers, I was either taking figure skating/golf lessons, hosting birthday parties, or going recreationally. Every time I come to Chelsea Piers to work on my golf game, I improve a lot and the staff is very helpful when it comes to equipment maintenance. Everything seems to be open at Chelsea Piers so as long as you're healthy and staying safe, I recommend that you give this place a visit. They also have batting cages and soccer fields for those who are interested alongside kayaks to rent and other things.

Yelp
The building at Chelsea Piers is basically a giant parkade! Looks like there is a big empty space or outdoor space at the back. When I went there was nothing happening. It is definitely a nice area to go for a stroll and watch the boats. Looks like there is a golfing ranging here. Kind of strange to see that but Ok. There are two other buildings connected to the parkade and it looks like some sport facilities. Cool!

Yelp
This place is awesome for its facilities: huge restrooms, sauna, hot tub, boxing ring, workout area, swimming pool, track trail, indoor volleyball, outdoor sun deck, climbing section, lounge, and many more... I came here for the climbing area and the wall is tall and the overhang section is long and horizontal. Mixed feelings on this area. The area is awesome because the wall feature is similar to outdoors. This is a good training for both physical and mental for outdoors climbing. However, I heard that they don't change the climbing problem often like other gyms, this could lead to boredom because you work on the same climbing problems for months, can be quite tedious... I tried the swimming area and it was great. I have not swam for long time and I took advantage of it. Glad that I did Membership can be quite expensive. I inquired the pricing. It was around $215/month. It would be great if I lived nearby and could take advantage of the convenience. But not possible. Also, it is hard to find parking around the area. That's why it is not convenient and feasible for me to join their membership Overall, it is a great place to hang out, have fun, and share memorable events with friends and family

Yelp
Went to the driving range here, and had a good experience. Our group of 4 did a walk-in and got a stall on the 2nd floor. Felt a bit crowded with a lot of people just standing around, but at least it's all outdoors. The environment is good for all levels of golfers, I would come back and plan on coming back!

Yelp
Chelsea piers is a unique and well designed sports facility in Manhattan along the Hudson River. The problem lately is that they have gotten fat, dumb and happy. Their parking situation has gotten completely out of control which really takes away from the experience in a major way. There always seem to be movies or TV shoes being filmed there and there presence really detracts from the experiences of the paying customers of Chelsea piers. When you allow these film crews to block traffic with their huge trailers or take up numerous spaces because of the bathroom trailers than something is seriously wrong in your customer service model. Start thinking of your paying customers because of you don't sooner or later the parking problem will take care of itself. Think....

Yelp
Enjoyed the driving range. Came out to about $20 per person for a group of 4 for an hour. Had a lot of fun. Didn't need a reservation.

Yelp
For my 1000th review, I chose Chelsea Piers (CP) and this is my review of the entire complex. Full disclosure - I got married at the lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, which is a great place for a catered event. The sports complex has gymnastics, soccer, baseball, basketball, and a climbing wall. My kid had classes in almost every sport at CP and the coaches were usually pretty good. There is also a sky rink where you can ice skate and learn how to play hockey. My kid took skating lessons for the first time here and loved it. You can go bowling at Bowlmor lanes - we have been to many birthday parties here and had one here for the kid. Finally you can hit golf balls while being elevated and looking at the Hudson River. CP has many things that kids and adults can enjoy and we have been to CP at least once a week for many years. If you don't want to do the sports activities, go out and enjoy the grass and sunshine next to the complex. Take a walk around the piers. CP is one of my favorite places in Manhattan.

Yelp
Came here in the evening to the golf range. Off peak hours is after 9pm. For 55 min, it was 30 dollars for up to two people in a stall plus 4 dollars for a club rental. 170 balls to hit. The tee is adjustable using a machine. There were no more drivers available so opted for an iron. Took a bit to find the right pier number 59. Staff were helpful in pointing to the direction to go in. Check-in was simple. There are bathrooms available by the check-in desk. I would return to the golf range on another rainy day :)

Yelp
Came here with gilt voucher and had a good workout. This place is huuuuggeee! I got a little surprised when I checked in as one of the staff looks like Michelle Rodriguez. She mentioned that she often received the same comment. Came here primarily for rock climbing/bouldering (abt3 hours) and felt that the wall is tougher than the one I tried in Brooklyn Boulder. The good thing is that it's not crowded. At most, there were about 7 people bouldering at one time. However, this place is smaller than Brooklyn Boulder. I was surprised to know that you can borrow climbing shoes and chalk for free. Another good thing is you can do many things- weight lifting, swimming, jacuzzi, spa, sauna, track, beach volleyball, basketball, boxing and even sun tan. Wherever you go, you will notice that it's not overcrowded (maybe cause I came on Easter weekend). Towels can be found everywhere. The locker room is spacious, even the showers. But the sauna and steam room can be improved. It's small and not hot enough.

Yelp
In the real world: surely far beyond my realm of possibility, but what a nice place to "drive by" and dream of.

Yelp
Awesome place to just walk around and take in the scenery across the Hudson River. The whole neighborhood is always so vibrant.

Yelp
Considering u guys have tha old phone numbers of tha place wen i call it is someone else number , i guess u guys won't upgrade that and is it really worth it to be here yes and no. let me tell u why for YES because it has alot of activities to do like Golf , Basketball , Yoga and many many other things . NO , because who wants to pay $195.00 for a whole season of basketball to be on a team don't u people let famous ppl be on celebrity games for FREE? isn't that how it goes what make a famous person better then me ? , NOTHING i was born with 50 talents and gifts from GOD himself. Inclosing if u want to waste ur time 2 this place and spend ur money to them and u think ur living a baller life in NEW YORK then try it ur stupid self will be homeless in a week .

Yelp
Came here for the golf driving range and it was sooo much fun!! :D Back in July or August 2017 so keep that in mind though. I'm not sure how much it was as I didn't pay, but we got our golf club set rented out and a bunch of golf balls and headed up to the driving range. There were quite a few people there, mostly white guys working in finance as you might expect. I wasn't very experienced in golf so I was a bit nervous about looking silly, but my partner was super encouraging and it ended up being a ton of fun. Got some really cool videos of our golf swings! To be completely honest occasionally I would entirely miss the ball though :)

Yelp
First of all, the $10 minimum at concession for cards is dumb. I think I'll be better suited to come here during the week. The weekends are a bit much. The crowd is thick for a person who's never been on skates. The ticket counter people are very nice but the skate handlers are dry and somewhat rude. I'll come back for sure... The Olympic trials are coming again and I wanna be ready.

Yelp
Chelsea Piers is packed full of activities. You will definitely want to carve out a good portion of your day to explore around Chelsea. The yacht tours are a must. The market is also something that you definitely want to check out!

Yelp
Chelsea Piers is beautiful - especially during a clear day where you can see the sunset. I was so surprised at how big it was! I always go with my family to the driving range and there's lots of space to move around. The first time we went there, it was a little chilly so we were worried about the wind making it too cold for us to have a good time. There were heaters, though, making it comfortable for us, and there was a small crowd because of the weather that day. Whenever I stop by, there is always something fun for us to do. Parking is very expensive though, so if you're out of town, plan to park in the street or just commute since that's easier. Love that there is a variety of things to do here like rock climbing, golfing, laser tag... So if you're looking to do something more active, this is a great place to go!

Yelp
So much fun. from bowling to golfing to just taking in the view. Every different venue had friendly staff. The Driving Range doesn't have any food so you have to walk a few steps to the bowling alley.

Yelp
Chelsea Piers is a great walk on a summer evening, seeing the sunset go down is the most breath taking thing. You can walk, run, or bike and it's just such a nice scenery of the Hudson. Highly highly recommend walking all of the Pier on a summer evening. Very awesome spot for photography and video. Always be there during the summer time.

Yelp
I am an actor and was lucky enough to shoot a scene here. My favorite part of the day was meeting Amanda, the parking attendant. I have worked in many places and many of the parking attendants are not nice but Amanda was an absolute joy. All of the employees whom I encountered during the day seemed to have a smile on their faces and a willingness to help, This place is filled with lots to do and a lot of parking. The parking fee is a bit much but hopefully I will be famous enough to one day afford it.

Morley M.

Yelp
Terrible service, completely incompetent management. Tasha, the assistant general manager is the worst. Completely useless when it comes to resolving issues with clients.

Catherine C.

Yelp
Chelsea Piers is a haven in New York City. there's so much to do. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I can't imagine living in New York and not having Chelsea Piers. We've hosted and attended several birthday parties there - kids always have an absolute blast. Soccer is awesome there - both league play and the semester classes for the kids. Batting cages are top notch as is the golf center. And if you just need a couple minutes to yourself, you go sit on a bench and watch the ships go by. There's no place in the city like it.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Cool place with tons of activities. I've ice skated here, played golf in the summer and rock climbed. All were great experiences and I had a blast. Oh I shot some hoops with a friend from work once a while back too. Staff is generally friendly and you can dine here as well, although I can't say the restaurant is the reason for going. All in all this is a great place in manhattan.
google avatar

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Chelsea Piers has grown so much since the 2000's. This place used to be the shady part of Manhattan, with little to no stores and lots of open space with old factories and storage shacks! Now, it has grown into a beautiful community with sports aviation centers and pier ports! There are also numerous condos for rent and sale on the premises.
google avatar

Yelp
Two drinking vending machines stole my money. Total of $8. I addressed it to a worker wearing a white collar short that read "Chelsea Piers" on the front and he told me it happened to him before but all I can do is call the number for a refund. If you have had this problem before, PUT A SIGN STATING THE VENDING MACHINE IS OUT OF ORDER. The 844 phone number has nothing to do with that. They do repairs and because I wasn't an employee at Chelsea Piers, I couldn't report for a repair. Don't spend your money in those broken vending machines. Rip off.

Chelsey F.

Yelp
$52 for parking is outrageous! Yes we were there for quite some time- about 5 hours between hitting golf balls and shopping and eating. As we initially came down to go to the driving range, my boyfriend wanted to drive so he could bring his clubs. Will not visit again if we need to take the car.
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Haven't been to Chelsea Piers in ages so I forgot how much fun it can be. I was there recently with my co-workers and we had a blast play LASER TAG. Initially, I was not excited at the idea of player laser tag, which I had never played before, but it was so much fun. I'm actually looking forward to doing it again with friends!

Yelp
Chelsea Piers Toddler Gym: Small facility especially for how massive everything else is at Chelsea Piers. My 2 yr old had a blast. Even though space is small there is def enough to do for little ones. Great option for a rainy day or when you need a drop-in gym option.

Jarrod W.

Yelp
Excellent location for outdoor activity in winter and summer. If golfer you must attend and see the 4 level range. Would highly encourage people to attend and visit. Fun for whole family
