Chen Tung Pork Ribs Medicinal Herbs Soup

Very delicious pork bone broth, with heaps of bone and meat bits. The serving size is really great value. And the soup has the smell and aftertaste of herbal medicine. It does not come off too strong for me but I can understand if its not for everyone. Their braised pork on rice is very very yummy. I think its not too oily and well seasoned. I just want to say their setup for the seating is very good, clean and they have a large bin bag shared between every 2 tables for you to throw bones and any rubbish. Lastly, the service was really friendly from these 4 gentlemen.

Ordered pork ribs soup for 100NT. Very little meat on the bone though. Further more they were though. But soup was superb.

The pork soup is tasty and very medicinal, but well balanced. We understand why it is so highly recommended. Only wish it was cooked longer and for the neck bones to be softer.

Came to visit because of the recommendation from the Taiwan foodie booklet. It was disaster . Very bad consistency as I got the almost meatless portion. Also the meat from the big bone were tasteless. Never again.

Totally don't recommend this food stand after revisited it. Totally dissappointment and i dhpuld save my time and money from it. Compare to my memory along the way grew up, taste of their hurbal soup changed compared to by then. I do think the herbals they are using today is either in different combination/proportion or herbals are from different sources. Worst thing is the hurbal mixes with oil/greases floating on soup, tasted like "aged" oil. Another visitor sit next to me politely reflected the same to the owner, but the service was teasing him and said the soup was freshly cooked. Of course it is freshly cooked but the ingradients were wrong. They are even failed to accept a chance to review the feedbacks. Service even talk back to the visitor "if you don't like their food then don't visit again, and they will not sell to him. I'm concerning your taste buds got problem". Seats and environment are so bad in this night market. As a Taiwanese, I don't feel proud of this place. Totally dissappointment and exactly I will not visit it again. Totally NOT recommend thus place.

Decent pork rib stew. Nothing special, just a little on the sweeter side.

A large crowd of people gathered around the restaurant, drawn in by its Michelin Bib Gourmand designation. However, after trying the food, I found the flavors to be rather average and not particularly remarkable. While I think it's worth experiencing at least once, especially given its reputation, I wouldn’t recommend waiting in a long line just for a meal that might not live up to the hype. If the wait is extensive, it might be better to explore other dining options.

The place has one of the strongest medicinal flavor for the soup. I had this soup at another place (at Shinlin night market )and this is better.
