18 Essential Chinese Restaurants in the Triangle

"There are a number of superb Sichuan spots in the Triangle, but Chengdu 7 is the one those in the know frequent. It’s not uncommon to bump into chefs and restaurant staff from some of the area’s best restaurants on their off days. Menu standouts include the mapo tofu, dolsot fish with tofu, West Lake beef soup, pepper kidney, Sichuan saliva chicken, and salted egg yolk pumpkin. If there were one Triangle Chinese restaurant to go to with a crowd and order as much of the menu as possible, it would be this one." - Matt Lardie

We came here for lunch on a Saturday and were seated immediately at a nice table with a lazy susan. We were given a regular menu and a menu with handmade noodles and dumplings. We were given ample time to look over the menu. I ordered the Barbecued Pork Lo Mein, my sister ordered the Chicken w. Broccoli, and my partner ordered the Chicken w. Mushroom. We also ordered the stir-fried pork and cabbage handmade dumplings, which came with 12 pieces. The food came out one at a time, and it was a lot of food. The dumplings were delicious! The sauce that they came with was a little weak, but the dumplings honestly did not need the sauce. The chicken lo mein was fantastic and flavorful. The chicken and broccoli was great, too, and the rice that it came with was amazing. The chicken and mushroom was good, very light. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we got. The service was just okay, but they were very busy. I think next time, I will order just a couple of dishes to share with the table, that does seem to be the intention with the lazy susan and small plates that they provide. However, we were able to have leftovers and it tasted just as good!

We tried this place for the first time, food was yummy, plate size generous and menu had many dishes to choose from. Service was attentive and excellent. We will return to enjoy more menu items in the near future!

1st of all its very hot inside because of shed roof i guess so never visit in peak summer afternoon. Spicy chicken wings are good but not exceptional. Spicy Chicken was good and sufficient enough gor two people for $17 as an appetizer (not only spicy but very flavourfull, but its dry item for rice ). Dolshot style fish(fish in chilly oil) is complete disappointment, it has bean sprouts and napa cabbage which gave a slight bitterness in the soup, to be honest it was tasteless, it is enough for 3 people with big portion but a complete waste of $23!!

Fantastic food! Best Chinese food in the Triangle in my opinion. Scrumptious food, attentive service, calm ambience. They don’t accept Amex cards. Will definitely be back.

|Overview: + Authentic spicy Szechuan cuisine + Big bowl of beef noodle soup for affordable price + Fairly good customer service + Overall food quality is great - 91% Sanitation Score - Dull ambiance with old-looking seats and bad lighting - Amount of beef in noodle soup is little - Some appetizers like beef tripe are pricey |Full Review: My girl & I went here around 9PM, and our first impressions of Chengdu 7 weren't good. The 91% Sanitation Score was concerning; my girl asked if we were sure if we wanted to eat here. I told her that not a lot of restaurants were open after 9 so we decided to give it a shot. We were the only customers dining in, and a young waitress took us to our cheap-looking seats illuminated by dull fluorescent lights. Ambiance is clearly not ideal for a romantic date night. Chengdu 7's photo-filled menu offers authentic Chinese -Szechuan dishes, including a wide variety of beef at various spice levels. I ordered the $18+ Sizzling Steak in Hot Iron Plate, which came with strips of steak, bell peppers, scallions & white onions. It also came with a small cup of white rice. My order lived up to its name as it arrived sizzling on a hot iron plate. It tasted how I expected it to be: not spicy but tasty. Wish I had the option to get fried rice instead & amount of rice was not much (waitress did not offer to refill rice). Overall, it was good but not great. My girl ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was served in a large bowl. She was surprised to see the large amount for a $12+ bowl. It was much bigger than the $16+ bowl of beef noodle soup we got from Wheat in Chapel Hill just a few days ago. She said she wouldn't be able to finish it despite having to share with me so she asked for 2 smaller bowls for us because she knew that there'll be leftover for take out. A Chinese gentleman whom we assumed to be the owner came to help cut the long rice noodles with scissors, so my girl can transfer some of the contents of the soup to the smaller bowls. We were thankful for his caring customer service. The beef inside the noodle soup was well-cooked and tender but the amount of beef chunks was lacking; my girl wished it had less noodles and more beef. The broth was fine. Overall, not bad for $12+, which was about the same price as the beef tripe appetizer that we wanted to order but decided not to because of its price. Instead, we ordered a $12 Chili Oil Dumpling. The pork inside tasted amazing with the chili oil, and the texture of the dumplings was perfect. There's a good amount so we ended up taking out about 1/3 of it. Overall, I have mixed feelings about Chengdu 7. Despite the dull ambiance, low Grade "A" Sanitation Score, and some shortcomings in the food we ordered, it's still not a bad option if you enjoy authentic Szechuan cuisine at a semi-affordable price. Might return here to order for take out. | Overall Score: 3.9/5 | Recommended Alternative: Shanghai in Durham, NC

The service is great! Greeted with a smile and attentive to our table. The food was amazing! I didn't have a fav dish because everything tasted great in its own way. Great portion sizes. The playlist added to the atmosphere with all the hits!

If you're in the mood for authentic and delicious Sichuan cuisine, this cozy little gem is the place to be! Despite its small size, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or a quiet dinner. The menu is packed with flavorful dishes that transport you straight to the heart of Sichuan. The Handmade Pork, Shrimp, and Leek Dumplings are an absolute must-try! Each dumpling is perfectly crafted, with a delicate wrapper that gives way to a savory and juicy filling. The balance of pork, shrimp, and leek is absolutely delicious. Another standout is the Glass Noodles topped with Minced Pork. The noodles are silky smooth, and the minced pork adds a rich, savory depth to the dish. It's simple but bursting with flavor. For a heartier option, the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup hits all the right notes. The beef is tender and flavorful, swimming in a rich, aromatic broth that is sure to warm you from the inside out. The noodles are just the right texture, making this dish a comforting and satisfying choice. Overall, this spot offers an unforgettable Sichuan dining experience with dishes that are both authentic and mouth wateringly good. Highly recommended for anyone craving bold flavors and a cozy atmosphere!

Google
Great food! We (my wife and I) ordered orange chicken, chili oil noodles, and steamed dumplings. Everything was amazing. The portions are very generous too. With what we ordered we had plenty to eat there and enough for another meal of leftovers. The service was really quick. We were there for an early lunch so we were the only ones there which was nice. All the staff were very friendly. They also have it set up so you can watch the cooks hand make there noodles which was cool. If I lived closer I would come here at least once a month. Will definitely be coming back. Prices were super reasonable too.

Yelp
Very impressed due to the spices and flavors. The place is very unassuming on the outside but it is larger than it looks when you enter. I was the only one dining in during the mid afternoon but the fare quickly assuaged any concerns I had about the place. I had the minced pork with glass noodles. It was served with a side of white rice. The noodles were better than any I have had elsewhere, and I agree with others about the seasonings seeming so fresh. When I am in town, this will surely be my go-to spot for Chinese food.

Yelp
Always a great eat when I'm here! The ambiance is great, love the art on the walls and also love how you can see someone making hand-pulled noodles and dumplings. I personally enjoy the music here, very modern mostly family-friendly tunes from the current generation haha. Seems like they updated their menu with photos too, a little sad I didn't see the Dan Dan noodles since I felt like it was one of their specialties. I love coming here in groups so we can each more variety :) They always give out really great portions! This time, we ordered: -Beef noodles - thick: pretty solid! Can't go wrong. Meat is pretty tender, a lot of noodles. -Garlic eggplant - pretty average, without the sauce it would've been a bit bland. -Chong qing chicken - can't go wrong with this one, though it felt like it had quite a bit of pepper on the plate for its ratio -Spicy fish filet in chili oil - we asked for it to be less spicy cause it had three pepper signs, but I would do full pepper next time for more flavor! Service is always really quick, had our rice and water refilled consistently. Always a classic, definitely a favorite of mine and my roommate's in the Triangle!

Yelp
The food is amazing family style Chinese with distinctive flavors and excellent preparation. The server was friendly and responsive. The restaurant is hidden in an aging strip mall and is clean inside. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Food was exceptionally delicious with authentic flavor. I loved their Mapo Tofu. So fragrant and tasty. Service and ambiance were okay but the food is really good. I hope they fixed the credit card charger. I had to pay them via Zelle because their credit card charging system was not working a couple of months ago.

Yelp
After repeated visits to this wonderful place it's time for me to share my experiences. I've never had a bad dish, very single thing I've tried has been spectacular. Every person I've brought here has also equally loved it. My favorites are the Dan Dan noodles, chicken ho feng, orange beef, and dumplings. The service is attentive even when extremely busy. This is hands down the best Chinese food I've found in NC.

Yelp
We were definitely surprised at how delicious this hole in the wall Szechwan style restaurant was. We came across this restaurant by accident but we knew our experience was going to be fun one the moment we saw the employee making the dumplings and noodles from scratch . This spot may be our new spot for stir fried shrimp and fried chicken wings in Cary NC

Yelp
OMG,so good...servings are quite large, so we wish that we has just split an order... really yummy dumplings
google avatar

Yelp
The Sichuan takeout was very good. I ordered Kung Pao chicken, egg rolls, and pan-fried dumplings. Overall, the food was flavorful and fresh. However, there was an excessive amount of pepper pieces from the peppers, which made it a bit too much.
google avatar

Cathy C.

Yelp
Didn't want to give the secret away but this place offers hand made dumplings and noodles! Lol The dumplings were flavorful and the noodles did not disappoint, especially on a cold day. It is definitely one of the more consistent Chinese restaurants in the area.

Yelp
This has to be one of the absolute finest restaurants that I've ever eaten in!! It's difficult to capture and share just how good this place really is!! What's great about this place - all of the food is fantastic (soup, appetizers, and main dishes). The ambiance inside is really nice - pleasant staff and fun music in the background. If I lived near this restaurant I would eat at this place every week! I certainly plan on going back the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. As good as the best Chinese food in Las Vegas Chinatown. Going back soon.

Yelp
Coming from a large Metro city, I wasn't expecting such authentic, delicious unapologically spicy Sichuan food! To offset the impending hot meal, I ordered the milder General Tso's Chicken. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles which are prepared fresh and hand pulled. We can view this through the plexiglass. These were fantastic noodles! We requested "less spice" per the hubs prerence. Glad we did. The texture and flavor have me craving more after a few days. This is a different kind of heat. Not that spicy per se, but a lip plumping sensation (much more intense than applying Buxom lipgloss) causing my lips to quiver and strangely me wanting more. The texture and flavor had me craving this after a few days. Drinking water gave me a strange aftertaste on the upper part of my mouth. With this dish, complement it with a sweeter or mild dish. We will definitely come back to try other dishes here. The ambiance is more mom n pop with tasteful cultural wallpaper and clean restrooms.

Yelp
Been going through a cold and the hot and sour soup and dumplings in chili oil helped clear up the sinuses. I also had the vegetable spring roles and they were pretty good too. Would definitely try more items from there.

Yelp
We tried Chengdu 7 for the first time last Friday night and were very disappointed. It was some of the worst Chinese food we've had, period. Suffice to say, it was bad enough that we will not be back. We ordered General Tso's chicken. (Maybe that was our mistake.). The chicken was so tough, sinewy and chewy that we just gave up and threw it out after a few bites. It was shockingly bad. There were only a couple small pieces of broccoli with it, and they were brownish-gray in color instead of the bright green that one expects from freshly steamed broccoli. The crab Rangoon were edible, thankfully, but they were nothing special. Filled with simple cream cheese with zero crab, scallions or anything else in them. This was the only thing we ate. Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially considering some of the 5-star reviews this place gets.

Yelp
Went there today for the first time and enjoyed my experience! The restaurant wasn't very big, but had cute historical Chinese decor and a noodle chef that makes the noodles as soon as you order. I came with my parents fot an early dinner and we ordered the dolshot fish and tofu, dolshot tomato beef, eggplant, Chengdu noodles, and an order of beef dumplings. Chengdu noodles were definitely spicy so beware for thise who can't handle it! Everything was good, but my favorite was the dolshot tomato beef dish. The beef was cooked super tender and I highly recommend for anyone that loves a sweet and tangy dish. The food also came out in a timely manner as well and were great portions! We also had wonderful service from the waitresses who made sure to check on us regularly! I definitely recommend for anyone who wants a nice big bowl of housemade noodle or dumplings, or for a family dinner!

Yelp
I had the chicken with garlic sauce. The portion was generous, the pricing good, and the service prompt. I am a huge spicey food eater, and this did not disappoint. The dish was spicey, tangy, and simply delicious. It is not very attractive from the outside, but the inside is clean and organized. It would be a mistake to avoid eating here based on the exterior because the food is FANTASTIC!!!. It's a total do-over for me.

Yelp
Holy crap. I live in Winston and journey over to the triangle a few times a month for great food. This is in my top 5. We came early afternoon on a Saturday and the place was full, but not wildly busy. We waited maybe 10 minutes tops for a table, and immediately started watching the gentleman hand pulling noodles. I was playing a dangerous game: I'm a vegetarian, but I wanted DanDan. When our waitress came I asked for DanDan with no meat: SCORE! She said yes. My friend got chicken lo mein (no photo, sorry!!!) and I also ordered the cucumbers for an appetizer. The food came out quickly: DanDan first. The smell OMG. The look of the noodles OMG. I've had DanDan before so I know to give it a solid mix to coat all the noodles. Again: O M G. The red chili oil against the noodles! I snagged a bite even though it was way too hot: the CHEW! The numbing spice! Immediately my tongue and lips were tingling: Szechuan is THE spice queen. The cucumbers were tangy and a perfect balance to the oily noodles. My friend's lo mein was good. Was seasoned well and felt very well made - better quality/ingredients/care than most places. Big portions, plenty to take home and while it wasn't AS good, it was spectacular enough that my husband said we needed to go back.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
My daughter and I came by for lunch. We tried 2 different dishes. One was the Dan Dan Noodles. The other was a very spicy beef noodle dish with a lot of broth. Both had the freshly made noodles and were delicious !! I especially liked the spicy dish. We couldn't identify what type of beef was in the dish. It's a small place and a lot of Asians were eating there. Usually a good sign of the authenticity of the food. My only complaint was that the waitress wasn't helpful in choosing a dish. It seemed English was not her first language . We will come back and try a non noodle dish next time. The spiciness was on point !
google avatar

JJ C.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Chengdu 7 is a quaint restaurant with its own noodle room where a live "show" of fresh noodles being made to order is displayed. Service: In the past, our server has lost our order ticket, leading us to wait for over an hour for our food. However, other than that one incident, the service has been fairly fast. Most of our food came out together. Food: We ordered the Sauteed String Beans, Dan Dan Noodles, Cumin Beef, and Twice Cooked Pork. There really isn't a bad order at Chengdu 7. The String Beans were flavorful, the Cumin Beef was delightfully spicy and tender, and the Twice Cooked Pork had a great balance of spice and veggies. We wished the Dan Dan Noodles were more saucy and flavorful, but the handmade noodles were fresh and bouncy. Additionally, their portions are very generous and we left with leftovers that lasted us throughout the week! Overall: Chengdu 7 has quickly become a staple Chinese restaurant for its authenticity, tender meats, and filling quantities. We will definitely be coming back and trying more items!
google avatar

Yelp
The dumplings here are out of this world. They're handmade, with a thin, delicate wrapper and a juicy, flavorful filling. I also tried the hot and sour soup, which was rich and perfectly spiced. The staff was friendly and helpful in recommending dishes.
google avatar

Nadine H.

Yelp
Authentic and delicious. Must have the homemade noodles and dumplings. Portions are plentiful.
google avatar

Jamie E.

Yelp
Ordered online through UberEats and my food arrived quickly and still hot! I love Sichuan cuisine and can be pretty picky about Chinese food. I got the dandan noodles and sautéed green beans, and both were delicious and full of flavor! When I first saw the dandan noodles, I was nervous because they looked very dry. The sauce is on the bottom- so make sure to mix well. Would recommend and will definitely order from this restaurant again.
google avatar

Chris E.

Yelp
The staff owners and everyone here are the moat pleasant. The food is extremely well prepared and taste truly spot on. Everytime I'm in Cary (once a month) I make sure to eat here. The handpulled noodles are perfect as well.

Womp D.

Yelp
Came here after a not so great experience with another Sichuan restaurant in the area. Better!! I'd say best Sichuan in the area. Ive had the sauteed lamb, spicy garlic pork, and egg rolls. All delicious. So much spice in the pork, but very very good. Also, egg rolls (not spring rolls) are fantastic!
google avatar

Kerwin T.

Yelp
Been craving for some good surgeries chinese food. The stirfry string beans and eggplant is as authentic as possible!!!

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant to experience Sichuan food. The owner was pleasant and took our order. We only ordered takeout rather than dine in but we had a variety of items as follows: Dandan noodles: hand pulled in house was extra $2 but it was worth it! Nice chew to noodle, great garlic and meat sauce. Definitely a highlight! Crispy Duck: not crispy. But the meat was nice and tender which is definitely MUCH better than if duck was crispy and dry. The pieces of meat were cut somewhat haphazard and not well placed, but pretty good, and a tad salty. It didn't have a dipping sauce though which was unfortunate. Salted egg deep fried pumpkin: very crunchy coating with soft sweet inside. Salted egg was good but didn't coat the pumpkin well and they appeared to have just thrown on top. Did go well with rice though. Cumin beef: shredded beef mixed with Szechuan seasoning. Pretty good if you are ok with spice. I don't know why I thought they would be chunkier pieces but that might be personal preference. Overall: pretty good food! Noodles were the highlight. The rest was pretty good but didn't stand out as much as noodles. :)

Yelp
Two of us came here between lunch and dinner, so not busy at the time. Seated promptly and drink's came quickly. Note: if you order coke it will come in a bottle. Tea was just ok. Menu is large and the spicy dishes are clearly marked. We got shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein. Lots of shrimp cooked nicely in both dishes. Rice was bland, not much flavor, but ok. Lo mein was good, but very oily. Nice flavor and had green onions, shreds of carrots and a little cabbage. Nothing comes with the entree...no soup or salad. Place was clean, ok decor, waitress was very quiet, barely spoke and didn't check on us at all. No one said a word when we were leaving. No cookie offered like other places. Very difficult to enter with a wheelchair. Only one very rough ramp way down the sidewalk. No offer of help with the door when entering or exiting. We will not return.
google avatar

Yelp
def one of the better chinese places in rtp! i got the cumin beef, and it was alright although a little expensive. one thing to note was that the first time i ordered it, they brought out another item by mistake (but they did charge for the cheaper item). other than that i would go back if i was in the area, but i wouldn't make the trek down otherwise

Yelp
Great authentic sichuanese (spicy) food! I actually saw them on Instagram and saw that they changed ownership so had to try it. Was so delicious and definitely recommend trying everything that you can. I wasn't a big fan of their dumplings (almost like pre-packaged ones), but the Dan Dan noodles and their traditional dishes were so good. I love that you can see the chef hand-pulling the noodles in his little box and make sure to order hand-pulled noodles for any noodle dishes.
google avatar

Meg L.

Yelp
My favorite dish here was the Dan Dan hand pulled noodles. You can actually see someone making the noodles fresh from the window next to the booth. The sauce was perfect (not very peanut-y) and moderately spicy. The noodles were a delicious chewy texture. I would get this again! The dumplings were underwhelming and the other dishes were pretty salty but overall a great place to go. Food came out unbelievable fast!
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
We came in during lunch time (2 pm) but it was completely empty, therefore, we were seated immediately. We ordered a lot of entrees: cucumber with jelly, roasted duck, hand made dumplings, dan dan noodles, chili oil dumplings, scallion pancakes (not pictured), Szechuan crispy shredded beef, twice cooked pork, mapo tofu, and chili oil wontons (not pictured). Everything came out pretty fast, considering we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was pretty quiet in there. I don't think there was music playing, but being there with friends was enjoyable. It's worth coming here if you want to eat with a big group and family style.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely no frills, authentic Chinese. By authentic, I mean that they don't hold back on the spice. We got the cumin lamb, pea leaves, and Dan Dan noodles. The cumin lamb definitely hit in terms of heat, texture, and spice. If you like lamb skewers, you will love this dish. The pea leaves were good, but nothing especially stand out. I think the star of this restaurant is their hand pulled noodles. If you ask their server in Chinese, they'll let you know that they can do a lot of off menu noodle soup dishes and Dan Dan with their fresh noodles. The Dan Dan was probably one of the best noodle dishes I've had in the area. The noodles were so chewy and fresh. You can even watch the chef pull it in front of you. This place is a 5 star for me because the food is probably some of the most authentic Chinese food I've had in the Triangle area. Plus the portion sizes are huge are really worth it for the price. One dish per person was more than enough food for us. Although the inside decor is pretty minimal, it does give a hole in the wall vibe which fit my expectation for the place. It's my new go to place for noodles!

Yelp
Chengdu 7 is one of the Chinese restaurants that my family and I frequent when we are in the mood for authentic Chinese food (with the other being Szechuan Garden which is fantastic)! Since COVID, we typically will just order takeout and there has never been an issue. In general, the food is solid and they offer up some serious spice with their Szechuan dishes if you're into that (though they also have great dishes that are on the less spicy side). On our most recent visit, we ordered several items to go and they were all good to great. My favorite was the twice cooked pork which is truly a classic dish and so so delicious. Their various shredded pork dishes are also great options and we love the shredded pork with garlic sauce plus the shredded pork with smoked tofu. The only item that was a bit of a miss was the scallion pancake rolls with beef; they were lacking in terms of flavor and I wish the beef was also a bit more tender...
google avatar

Britney P.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it here!! Authentic dishes with lots of variety! Everything tasted amazing and would definitely recommend! It's a good place to eat with friends and family. The spice level in the food was good but there are plenty of non-spicy dishes if you can't handle the spice. It did get a little crowded inside when we went on Sunday for lunch so it might help to go a little earlier if your group has more than four people.

Yelp
Pretty solid Sichuan restaurant for the most part. A decent sized building dead smack in the middle of downtown Cary. As always, good seeing actual Chinese/other Asian patrons dining in an Asian establishment. The menu is quite extensive but I knew I had to try the usual suspects of Sichuan cuisine to see how their version and recipes are. The food is pretty good, but definitely not the best Sichuan food I've had. Some dishes were extra salty, yet others needed more salt. The soup dumplings are really good, full of soup and offer the right condiments for them. The Chinese broccoli was really good as well. The Dan Dan noodles were very different from ones I've had - wider, almost rice noodle-looking, though it was not; needed more sauce as it was a large noodle to meat/sauce ratio. The Szechuan chicken (tri-pepper) was very very salty; absolutely get hit in the face with salt and MSG, honestly it ironically needed spice. The menu also has hot pot and dry pot items, authentic Sichuan dishes while also "American Chinese" dishes like sesame chicken and general tso's. Again, not the greatest but still very good enough to scratch your Sichuan food itch. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3.5/5 Price: 4.5/5 Authenticity: 4.5/5

Yelp
Amazing. Just fantastic, authentic Chinese food. And now that they've added hand pulled noodles to the menu, I'm not sure I can ever order anything but those!

Yelp
Food is pretty legit for around here. However, I find the noodles (Taiwanese beef noodles) a bit too spicy for my taste. I'm sure certain people with high tolerance for spicy food would have no problem. Still though, I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place! It was approved by my partner who spent 7 years in China. We got the Lotus root appetizer with the scallion pancakes. Both were absolutely delicious and fresh. The egg drop soup was amazing and the tomato egg was flavorful as well. The staff are super friendly and the ambiance was lovely, we went on lunar new year and the vibes were just right! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
WOW! I used to live in NYC and we had tons of great Sichuan cuisine there. But when I moved back to NC, I was starved for Sichuan. Not anymore! Now with Chengdu 7 I can have amazing hand pulled noodles whenever I crave them (which is often) and they have the BEST Sichuan green beans (totally addictive -- try them). My husband and I drive 45 minutes to eat here twice a month and I would drive even further. This place is GREAT. Also, the service is very good -- the servers are very polite and fast. Thanks!!!

Yelp
Amazing, authentic food. Excellent service, atmosphere. Noodles are made fresh, you can watch them being made. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. Will absolutely be back. 5 stars.

Yelp
This hole in the wall place is my new favorite authentic Chinese place! The food is AMAZING! It is so flavorful. We went here a second time just a few weeks later. While we didn't get the same food (except the cashew chicken) as the first time. The dishes we did get were amazing. The service is good, nothing spectacular but they are very efficient. Run don't walk to this place. We will be going back again:)

Yelp
***FOOD: Tasty Good Food. Shrimp Broccoli-very good, hand pulled Dan Dan noodles - spicy good, dumplings spicy - sooooo good, fried rice - good, Mongolian beef - wowsers good and spicy hot. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$ good deal ***DÉCOR: blue booths and a handful of large tables to accommodate large families. ***SERVICE: super busy the day we went for dinner. people lined up waiting for a table. or waiting for their pick up food. servers running around. food came out incredibly lightning fast. its unbelievable. they need more staff, hardly have time clean the tables. floor littered with chopsticks and napkins because they couldnt clean fast enough. owner was apologetic. ***RECOMMEND: YES RECOMMEND

Yelp
Won't be back. The table was dirty that I sat at, chili oil smeared on it. I ordered noodles with tofu, it was a struggle just to get them to make it with tofu, even though I order it every time, they forgot the hot and sour soup I ordered, I asked for chili oil, and they forgot that too, I had to wait to find the waitress to ask for it again while my food got cold. The noodles tasted burnt and were too charred, the soup had no flavor, just spicy. Then, when I received the bill, I was charged for shrimp (the most expensive protein) and for 2 orders of tofu (14.95 plus almost $7 on-top of that. There were only 2 waitresses and one was on her phone most of the time or talking with the other, keep in mind, the place was full.

Yelp
Great place for delicious Sichuan Chengdu food in Cary area. The service was quick and the ambiance was nice and clean. We went on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away! We got the Dan Dan noodles and Black Pepper Sliced chicken (on sizzling iron plate). Both the dishes were delicious! I would have preferred the option to add ground pork or chicken on the noodles but even without it, the noodles are a must try. The sizzling chicken was also very tasty. The items on the menu are all reasonably priced. If you have questions, ask the staff. They're very helpful. I am definitely visiting this underrated gem of a place again.

Yelp
Excellent Chinese cuisine. I like the hole-in-the wall atmosphere, don't let that deter you. 2nd time getting take-out and have always had delicious dishes. When we visit Cary/ Raleigh we love to stop here to pick up some Chinese. You won't be disappointed, give it a try !

Yelp
Saw this place in IG with chef making fresh noodles. Dumplings were ok. Cold noodles were way too oily. Too oily to the point where they were slipping and sliding in my mouth and It was like I could hardly taste the bite of the noodles, which were not that great. Daughter had sesame chicken which was good. I ordered the braised duck on iron plate. It was thinly shredded fatty duck with more oily greens and onions to hide the fact that there was hardly any meat. Soooo salty and fatty. I returned it. Maybe one day return to get lo mein. Definitely dont eat in. Get take out.
