Where Was ‘Black Mirror’ Season 7 Filmed: The Surprising Real-World Locations Behind Charlie Brooker’s Sci-Fi dystopia

Used for an exterior shot in Hotel Reverie, this Tudor country house dating back to the 15th century is presented as one of the episode’s fancy locations; its historic look complements the black‑and‑white, vintage, Hollywood‑style setting and continues its on‑screen legacy from productions like Enola Holmes, Killing Eve and The Crown. - Shaurya Thapa

I often photograph weddings at Chenies Manor and I absolutely love it! It’s such a stunning venue. It’s great that you can get married inside, outside or in the church next door. The gardens are beautiful (particularly the dahlias) and there’s a perfectly situated field for sunset photos. Love it!

We got married at Chenies Manor House on 6th July 2025, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we first visited, I fell in love with the venue, particularly the stunning gardens and the peaceful atmosphere, and I knew this was where I wanted us to get married. The weather on the day was a bit unpredictable, and we weren’t sure if our ceremony would be indoors or outdoors (we were hoping for outdoors!). Boo and her amazing team made sure both spaces were set up so we could make a last-minute decision. Thanks to their thoughtful planning and flexibility, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony we’d dreamed of. From the very beginning, Boo was incredibly patient and kind, answering every question we had, whether it was through my countless emails, phonecalls or face to face meetings. Her support throughout the planning process made everything feel smooth and stress-free. The gardens at Chenies Manor House are absolutely breathtaking. They added such a magical touch to our day, and our guests were in awe. Many told us it was one of the most beautiful venue and ceremony they’d ever seen. We’re so grateful to Boo and the entire team at Chenies Manor House for helping us create such unforgettable memories. If you’re looking for a venue that’s absolutely breathtaking, with a team that truly cares, this is the place. Thank you so much and we hope to visit the gardens soon! Hina x

What an excellent venue. Charles & Boo are truly delightful people and we appreciate them for letting us use their venue for our recent wedding. We had access to the long room for our reception, with a roaring fire this room offered a cosy vibe and the room speaks for itself! The evening reception was hosted in the garden room. We had free rein the day before to decorate as we pleased and what a luxury that is, we added bunting and fairy lights and a flower arch which added to the already perfect room. The room felt plenty big enough for our 62 guests. After the meal we had fire pits outside which kept everybody cosy. Overall we were so thrilled we chose Chenies Manor House as our wedding reception and we are so thankful to Charles, Boo and their incredible team. Special shoutout to the security team also who assisted us at the end of the evening. Best wishes, Harriet & Jono x

We visited with Candy Tours today. We very much enjoyed our afternoon at the Manor House. It was lovely to be greeted by the gentlemen of the house and our tour guide was very friendly also. The house and gardens were beautiful, and despite being a large house, it felt very cosy. There were so many wonderful little touches, decoration and buildings we enjoyed. There is a lovely tea room, it was great to sit outside amoungst the flowers and enjoy the sunshine. There is also a gift shop where we picked up a few goodies. I would recommend it.

We held our wedding at Chenies Manor in August and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. From the very first visit, we felt welcomed and supported by the team, and our experience in the months leading up to the wedding only reinforced that. Boo and Paul were incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating throughout the planning process, always ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and make us feel at ease. Their warmth made a huge difference, especially with a toddler in tow, and helped us feel truly cared for as a couple. The venue itself is breathtaking – the historic charm, beautiful gardens, and thoughtfully curated interiors made every moment feel magical. On the wedding day, everything ran seamlessly, from the opening drinks reception to last orders at the bar, and it was a joy to see our friends and family so comfortable and happy in such a stunning setting. Chenies Manor is more than just a beautiful venue – it’s a team that genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to make your day special. We will always look back on our wedding there with enormous gratitude and fondness, and it will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Very pretty house and gardens (lovely looking Dalihias), very well maintained grounds despite how hot and dry it's been. A lot of people, but it didn't seem overcrowded (except the cafe where there were long cues but staff did their best to keep it moving). I think it may have just been for the Bank Holiday weekend, but they had a bunch of actors and musicians milling about with the visitors. They were in Tudor royal court (Henry VIII, etc) attire to add to the atmosphere, and we're happy to chat in character, play period music and arranged a dance in the gardens.

A historic mansion, lovingly restored since the 1950s to be a home. Quite the home! A room where Queen Elizabeth I stayed, a 600-year old tower, secret passages and tales of ghosts. Beautiful gardens, regardless of whether you tour the house, and a nice coffee shop with a selection of delicious cakes (we tried 4, all excellent). The lovely guides in each room were friendly and full of stories, eager to answer questions. Oh - and the gardens are dog friendly! When we were there, they had a dog show so we got to see all the good boys and girls, which added extra charm. Finally, if you get a chance, see if the door is open at the church. From inside, you can peer into the strikingly beautiful chapel for the Duke's family, which has amazing carvings and tombs - a quietly moving place, reminding us of our mortality.

I love Chenies Manor House & gardens, it is well cared for and the gardens are stunning. The owner and his staff are all lovely, helpful and friendly. However there was a downside on our latest visit. I paid for 2 afternoon teas ( in advance as you have to) at £46 and when it arrived I was extremely disappointed and even asked if it was meant for 2 people. I got told yes. We had to share the platter, I have never had to share before. I had earl grey tea and was not even offered lemon or milk. Simply black tea. Food was dry and the cake was cut into tiny squares. There wasn't even £20 worth of food on our plates let alone £46!! Not value for money at all or even really edible . We left quite a bit of it. Totally spoilt our experience and it was for a birthday treat 😔 zero stars for afternoon tea
