I pulled up to Chennai Flavors on Wednesday just curious, no expectations, and left thinking about it way longer than I should have, so I came back again on Friday. I ordered the pepper chicken curry both times. It has a calm confidence to it, layered and comforting without trying to show off, just solid flavor (from Chennai!) that stays with you. It’s one of those spots where the food speaks softly but clearly, and by the time you leave, you already know you’ll be back. Plus you can’t beat the prices in this economy. Highly recommend.

Indian food. The guys did not properly handle my food. I saw the older one talking while making my food and his spit landed on my food. My stomach hurted so bad after eating from this Indian food truck! They want only cash! I am disappointed at their response but understandable! Consistent response for all customers. I was told to pay in cash. All of this happened to me!

This is one of the best places to serve dosa in Jersey City. The people running the truck are super nice and I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in trying authentic South Indian food.

This place is great!! Told them it was my first time and they told me exactly what to get. The dosa was great, nice and spicy the way I like it. Really cute family operation, clearly passionate about what they do. I’ll be going there again regularly.
